Much better than I had hoped for ?
I needed something lighthearted and this one just ticked all the boxes for me in spite of my initial hesitation. I loved the characters and the rather goofy storyline more than expected. I think that it's the concept of someone turning into a food item that might be throwing people off. If she had turned into a cat or something cute that they could have interacted with maybe people wouldn't have been hesitant to try it but honestly, the novelty if that drew me in. Either that or I was being a bit oppositional and just had to see for myself and I'm glad I did.Was this review helpful to you?
The worst!
This show is the worst!I always check on Mydramalist reviews before watching any Korean show, but bro! It’s really high here for this show! Seriously 7.5/10?? Overrated!
The acting, the story, the dialogue 🤏🏻🤏🏻
Next time I will see Google, IMDB and Netflix evaluation instead of coming here, they are more realistic tbh

Comedy with a sad ending
I'm literally heartbroken in tears that the girl still wouldn't turn back into human even after 50 years 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 it's because the pair of machines actually belong to four aliens, and one day on their planet would be 50 years on Earth. They would not be able to restore her on Earth immediately, instead they have to take everything back to their planet and recharge the machines. Another heartbreaking moment in the ending is that while the admirer has become a famous singer, after 50 years he met the granddaughter of his first fan (the high school girl who saw him on steet), and the first fan already passed away. Was this review helpful to you?

Oddly Enjoyable.
A really unique series. Initially watched it for Ahn Jae Hong and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was created by the creators of "Be Melodramatic". Despite that, the two series are worlds apart.Story: Unpredictable. Can't call it a waste of time since you don't really get anything of meaning out of most other dramas either. It's perfect to watch when you just want to have a laugh.
I was disappointed in myself when I cried during this series but the writer should definitely be applauded for being able to make a series like this be emotional.
I loved the montage of them talking about "Be Melodramatic" and going as far as to use the OSTs.
The scene of Baek Joong applying anti-septic was hilarious!
Cast: The cast definitely surprised me since most of these actors are well-known and also really good actors. A number of the actors had acted in "Be Melodramatic" as well. Each actor suited the character they were playing.
Music: Pretty good. Some of the songs are in my playlist. (Specifically the theme songs of Be Melodramatic. If it isn't obvious, I really liked that drama.)
Rewatch Value: Not that high.
Overall: Not everyone is gonna like this series, but I found this hilarious. It's different. As someone else said, this could be described as "Peak Comedy".

Surprisingly quite good
The synopsis is so ridiculous that I've to watch it lol...This is epic manga style cringe. So, it's not for everyone, but if you're used to manga, you can kinda close one eyes for it.I did find some episodes really cringey, yet it's surprisingly nice to watch. There's an actual storyline that keeps me clicking next. It's also such an old-school scifi style of storyline which we haven't seen for a while, so I kinda like it really
I have not read the manga, but it felt like it might be a close adaptation, at least image wise, because, seriously i've never seen such ridiculous scenes in drama before
Overall, I quite enjoy it, had good laughs at some point and the indirect reference to BTS is pretty cool
It's not the kind of show I'll put on top of my list but would be a nice break from the usual drama, kind of to watch something different and shake things up a little.

An absurd but comically pleasing treat
Chicken nugget is a drama about a girl named Choi Min-ah who enters into a machine to relieve her fatigue but ends up turning into a chicken. Her chances of turning back into human rests on the shoulders of her father and her admirer. The plot is far-fetched and hilarious. Although dramas and movies are people's imaginative and creative write-ups that are brought to life and are sometimes devoid of realism, this drama is too much. A human being turning into a chicken nugget is extreme. Kdrama writers never cease to amaze their audience with the extent of their creative ideas which is sometimes weird.
Nevertheless, this drama is comically satisfying. The entire drama is full of humorous and amusing scenes. Scenes that would make you laugh hard, keep you entertained and happy are what makes up this drama. The dialogues and mannerisms are so funny and would linger on the minds of its watchers for a long time.
Looking for a light-hearted, comedy filled and unrealistic drama to watch? Then chicken nugget is the drama for you.

Not bad enough!
This show is what theater kids rehab looks like. And you know, I'm not complaining. They had good time, I had good time. We're even.Chicken Nugget doesn't necessarily shoot for the moon, nor does it classify as absurdism - more like fooling around. You could ask the producers why did they make this drama, and they would most probably answer "Because we wanted to and we could", and this would be completely fair. But for me personally, Ryu Seung Ryong's affiliation with fried chicken will never go away after this.
But why? Still, why? The conflicts in the plot were very forced, like the most idiotic scene of the fight with aliens. Aliens also had no reason popping up in Joseon. And why, at all, was this long story about Kim Yoo Jeong being a chicken nugget told? The last episode basically pushed the red button and erased all the remaining significance of the drama. It's telling you almost straight out that you wasted 5 hours of your life for nothing. "Thank you, dear viewers, you may go home now."
The chicken intro though is such a killer 🔥

A time pass drama
This was an unexpected watch for me.I never intended to start this drama because I found it ridiculous. But after some time, the same thing attracted me to watch this one.Suprisingly , the humour really worked for me.Plot is not really strong. The ending was a big wtf moment. But omg the acting ! Ryu Seung Ryong is Korea's best dad.Moving, miracle in cell no.11 and this one.He literally made me emotional over a chicken nugget.I enjoyed the first half more than the second half. This drama was a mixed bag.Was this review helpful to you?
I had no expectations for this!
So, in the beginning, when I heard of this drama, it sounded all pointless. K-dramas mostly don't have such sci-fic topics. Hence, I had little to no expectations for this. I decided to watch it for time pass. But, it actually exceeded my expectations! The story is pretty loyal to the web novel and gives a cartoonish vibe. The actors could not have been better! The acting is absolutely great. Somethings could have been explained a little better, for example the ending scene could have been extended to just before Min-ah enters the machine and then Mr.Ko could stop her there. Overall, it was a light and good watch. It has the perfect dry humour! Episodes are small but will keep you hooked for sure! It's great to see the change of genre once in a while in a K-drama. Also, this thing needs to be understood that Min-ah played by Kim Yoo Jung is not necessarily the main character just because it is played by a famous actress. The two MLs should definitely get more focus as they are the one's taking the drama. Many people would get into this because of Kim Yoo Jung (I did too) but then complain that she didn't get enough screentime. Do understand that her role was to be converted into a chicken nugget and so it's just appropriate that she doesn't have much screen time. The acting of the two MLs is worth the praise. It's a good watch for sure!!Was this review helpful to you?
an easy watch.
I just finished chicken nugget! Cant believe how easy to watch it was. And bruh it was surprisingly such a refreshing concept and they really did the show so well. Wiw pretty damn good. Its a sci fi show btw. Its really lighthearted but also has a mystery that the characters have to solve. Its not about chicken nugget. Its everything other than a girl turning into chicken nugget. Thats just a minuscule part of it. It was surprisingly so bingeable and i literally finished it in 12 hours! enjoyed it so damn much! Was this review helpful to you?

worth watching
Loved the plot and acting!! The characthers’ backstories were really well written in a way you can justify their actions. First episodes were really funny but I lost interest as it went on. However, I wouldn’t rewatch it as the ending sucked… felt like I wasted my time. They all deserved a better ending , especially the father who waited 100+ years for her chicken nugget daughter😭it was really weird to kill him off the last minute. And if you hate time loop endings or open endings then THIS SHOW IS DEF NOT RECOMMENDED!!Was this review helpful to you?
Odd, very odd
This is one of those dramas that is a little bit hard to rate the story is odd, really odd, the overall messge seems to be good something about world peace and stuff... the directing is a bit over the top and to quirky fro my taste leaving with just a little bit to much second hand embarrassment and the need to fast forward...That said there where a lot of fun K-drama jokes, a decent cast and pretty things to look at.
It is also a drama that may change the way you look at chicken (any type of chicken) for all eternity, or until you have seen enough other dramas to overwrite the damage this drama made.
As for if it will have you longing to eat chicken or never want to eat chicken again will be left unsaid by me.
So basically this is a true k-drama mix of everything odd, prepare yourselves for some quirk and over the top odd stuff and I am sure this can be an okay watch. While it did have a bit to much over the top for my taste I can appreciate the oddness and individuality of this so if you are fine with that stuff and looking for something different this is actually a pretty decent place to find it.
