THIS SHOW CAN'T BE BETTER!!!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!! This drama is so freaking good. I really just can't explain in words. Everything from the beginning to the episode I'm currently watching (I had written this review when I was still watching it), you know it's still on-air so yeah, I can't judge its ending but goddamn! The fighting scenes are FUCKING DOPE!!! LIT AS FIRE!!! Broooooooooo, Lee Yeon is so damn hot in this season, I mean hotter than the previous season, he has red hair and goshhh!!! The way he fights, smirks and wins everytime, a new side has been unlocked, his fun side. He is so strong btw and if we start talking about the new characters like first, Hong Joo! God, this woman literally won this show, she's so powerful and smart that omg, and I love her obsession for Lee Yeon and the actress who's playing her role is such a good actress, I must say and goddamn the way she fights, I love her powers and her fashion sense too. Now, the kind of villain, Moo Myeong, I like his power like he says, "fire" and it starts burning, other than that I don't like him, huh. Now, about Lee Rang, I really hope that somehow or anyhow, he stays alive in the present too, I hope that some magic happens and he comes alive, he literally deserves the world. His entries are really worth it, remember in season 1, when he transformed when he came back after meeting Ji-Ah and this season when he comes to save Lee Yeon from Moo Myeong in the created world of the tiger, he's so hot but I must say that I didn't expect his love story, I'm more interested in the bromance between Lee Yeon and Lee Rang because they are almost always bickering, I really love them. But that mermaid scene when she comes to save Lee Rang from those invisible fighters, it legit gave me goosebumps, I was like- yeah she deserves him but when they kissed, I felt off-key like I really wasn't anticipating this nor I would want that. Anyway, I like the trio they formed this season, showing friendship thing but Idk what will happen next, I feel like something is gonna go wrong for at least the next 1 or 2 episodes, but the fact that Lee Yeon is so funny this season makes me laugh fr. But I am missing Jo Bo-Ah so much, I really hope she comes for at least 5 or 6 minutes, just a guest role will do but please come soon. Lee Yeon is literally incomplete without his Ji-Ah :(Well, It's still on-air so, let's wait more but I must talk about some of its big plot like the one when Lee Yeon went blind and he had to fight with some thugs in the garden of Myoyeongak, goddamn!!! It was legit impressive, he could not see but the way he fought, goddamn, even with eyes he could not fight like that and Hong Joo tried to distract him by turning on the music but the way he ended everything right there, TERRIFIC! Even if I'm watching this right before my end-sems, I still don't regret it because it actually deserves my all. And yesssssss!!! That scene from the parlour when people were turning into worms, when Lee Yeon and Lee Rang came to join in for work and showed how handsome they were and the old ladies were going crazy, I was like, "same-ahjummaaa-sameee". They are so good TT.
The FINALE is soooooo damn good, like OH MY GOD!! It's been so long since I finished it so I can't exactly pour my thoughts completely here but guess what, I still haven't deleted the last episode of it as It's so good, I loved it so much and I still love it. I've put it as my most favourite k-drama now, Idk, leave everything, this is the best one out there. Personally, my favourite characters are Lee Yeon and Hong Joo, I love them so much. Lee Yeon's brain and his powers then Hong Joo's beauty and strength. Both of them are brilliantly powerful and amazing. And the very godly moment of Lee Rang when he awakened all his powers, MY GOD!!! OMG OMG OMG!! This whole show got me screaming, throwing my hands in the air and smash bed everytime and each episode is so good and even the last episode is left on the brick of some curiosity about the original mountain god. Well, I just wanna say that I love this show so much and yeah that scene, how could I forget to mention about it here, when Lee Yeon used all his powers to kill the mountain god of Japan, MY GOD GOD!!! That scene was epic, I love Lee Yeon for that. Well, with that, I'd like to end it here and say that everything about this whole show was amazing and I'm glad that they let Ji-Ah show up finally in the end of the finale episode. Thank you so much, Tale of the nine-tailed 1938, I enjoyed every second watching it.

Ive been waiting so long!
My very first korean drama was tale of the nine taled. I was so sad that Rang died in the first one. It's wonderful to have him back. Yeon is funny but rang definitely makes me smile. I truly hope he ends up with the mermaid. He deserves a true love story. Half foxes need love too 🤣 I want Mi ho to stick around too. Im excited to see where this season takes us. I was hoping this would go back to Yeons first love but beggars cant be choosers. I'm on the fence about Hong joo shes a bit of a nut job and I cant tell whose side shes on even though yeon and rang save her girl orchid.Was this review helpful to you?

I didn't know that a 2nd season of a drama can suppress the 1st season. I totally loved this season . It can be watched individual if you just know a couple of things . I loved the characters and also their acting. Well my fav character is lee rang and i am just so much happy for him. And i must say hong ju was something else !!!!!! I wish it had a feww moreee episodes 🫠🫠 I really didnt want it to end like this fast . And i am really excited for the next season . 🤗 I hope that one will be also good like this onee i am really hoping for the bestttt .Yeah that's it i guess. I highly recommend itt !!!!!

Amazing
Honestly i havent watched the first season, i saw a few clips and werent that enthused by the premise of it nor the acting of the main FL BUT my friend kept telling me to watch this season and that its okay if i haven't watched the first and honestly im so happy i did its SO SO good.You honestly dont need to have watched the first season to watch this one, i LOVED the friendships, the dynamics of all the characters and the acting was *chefs kiss*
And im a BIG fan of dramas that reference the korean resistance and how they fought and succeeded against their occupation (im palestinian lol) so I loved that input too 🥹
Overall vwry wholesome, humour was amazing, acting was amazing and it also had a well rounded ending too!

You better watch it!
Everything was perfectly executed in this drama. The actions, the comedy and the storyline, it's a dope drama that everyone should watch. We don't even need to say anything about chemistries. The actors and actresses in here did such an amazing job! Their chemistries are so good that each episode made you hooked on to it from the beginning til the end. I just hope a lot of people will find out about this drama and watch it.I sincerely thank to all the actors and actresses who worked so hard on this project and bring us so much joy every weekend. It was such an amazing and rollercoaster of 6 weeks. Special thanks to Bo ah-shi for made an appearance in the last episode. The writer, the director and all the staffs, thank you for your hard work. I enjoyed this so much.

Satisfying Ending
The story, cast, acting are top notched! Given that I liked fantasy related shows, this is **chef kiss** You can feel the power and the commitment of the actors/actresses. I am so glad that I was able to see more side of Lee Rang and their brotherly love to each other. Tale of two brothers
It's funny and at the same time bittersweet. This show is like creators nod to viewers' inner turmoil after Tale of Nine-Tailed. This gives the viewers further look into the relationship between the two brothers, which is funny, silly, at times absurd and heart wrenching.While we don't see the big character arc of Lee Yeon, more like a redemption arc in regards to his brother - what he didn't do while his brother was still alive, and at the same time Yeon becomes the cataclysm for Lee Rangs characters' development, and boy do we get a lot of that. Kim Bum did an excellent job portraying Lee Rang.
What I liked the most is that even the silliest and funniest moment (there was quite a bit of that, where I was practically rolling and had to pause just to laugh it out) the underlying message was that the relationships that those characters have, whatever that may be, allows these kinds of situations: reaction, remark, response, banter, you name it. There were times when I was starting to think "ok, they are going a little bit overboard with the jokes and funny moments" and, interestingly enough, the show became a tiny bit more serious. It was still funny, but it's like they found their footing, the balance between seriousness and slyness.
In terms of romance, it's really in the back. As the focus of the show was more sibling relationship and friendship, however, there were some bits. On the other hand, some of those relationships did leave some plot holes connecting the first show with this one. I did not manage to fully fill them, but I do have some theories - 80 years is a long time, a lot could have happened, there are definitely some untold stories.
I am one of those viewers for whom soundtrack can either make or fail the production. The soundtrack was on point. No other words needed.
Special effects were decent, nothing to complain about.
Overall it was very enjoyable and easy watch, i gave it 9.5 (0.5 reduction for the plot holes), Rewatch value also 9.5, I will definitely rewatch it again, but i am afraid it's not that kind of show which you can rewatch over and over again and each time find new points and details that you have not noticed before. Maybe i will prove myself wrong :)

Short and sweet
The first season was about romance, this second season is about friendship and family. I enjoyed the dynamic between the mountain Gods... made me wonder why he fell in love with the human when mountain goddess is so bada$$ but.. it is what it is. This season was short and action packed in each episode, with some comedic scenes. Most of all I loved the friendship and his relationship with his little brother. The villains were not overly annoying or the main focus. Also the end sets us up where we could see a season 3 happening but if it doesn’t still good.Was this review helpful to you?

Brotherhood & Friendship
The story is about brotherhood, friendship & independence. Loved it, they focused on Lee brothers, their bonding, trust issues & love for each other.One thing that is irritating is that everyone keeps saying that Lee Yeon abandoned them.
Lee Yeon is getting second-hand embarrassment from his past-self.
Lee brothers' 1st meeting always starts with a fight.
The way Lee Yeon scolded Lee Rang for not having manners, but in a few seconds he also started doing the same thing.
The way Ryu Hong Joo punched Lee Yeon & the way he was scared of her. I love their interaction.
Loved how Lee Rang took care of Lee Yeon when he lost his sight.
Laughed how Lee Yeon & Gu Shin Joo were teasing Lee Rang about Jang Yeo Hee.
It's cute & funny the way Lee Yeon & Gu Shin Joo follow Lee Rang & Jang Yeo Hee on their date.
Lee Rang is so unromantic & so clueless when it comes to love.
Loved the scenes between Lee brothers & Mi Ho.
Lee brothers were having fun beating up the police.
Laughed when Ryu Hong Joo kept on slapping Lee Yeon repeatedly.
The way Lee brothers run with their sword & axes right after awaking up is so funny.
Lee Yeon defense is "he is a mountain god".
Laughed at the scene where Ryu Hong Joo & Yuki fight for Lee Yeon & telling him to stay away from it.
The way Nyudo jumps on Lee Yeon arms is quite funny.
Loved the power Lee Rang showed in the last episode.
Loved how the past Lee Yeon & Lee Rang started to get close to each other in the end.
I thought Jang Yeo Hee ending would be different, but I'm happy with what happened in the show. Finally, Lee Rang isn't alone anymore. He has a loving brother & a lover with him and also a supportive subordinate.
Loved Lee Yeon, Ryu Hong Joo & Cheon Moo Young scenes together. Their bonding, watching movie together. Also, the ending scene of the three.
I think there will be another season. The main Mountain God's story is still incomplete.

Quanto mi sono divertita! Non ho volutamente letto niente riguardo a questa drama dopo aver visto il primo e quindi non sapevo cosa aspettarmi.Un racconto che dopo aver visto il primo mi ha sorpreso, un misto di comicità, azione e thriller. L'amore per la famiglia, l'importanza della amicizia, l'amore per la propria terra stanno alla base di questa storia da non perdere.
12 puntate una più coinvolgente dell'altra.
Qui non c'è stata una storia d'amore prevalente come nel primo, c'è stato spazio per molte altre cose e quindi si è rivelata una storia dinamica, avventurosa e coinvolgente.
Gli attori sono stati tutti eccezionali, I due fratelli volpe hanno lavorato molto bene insieme, sono riusciti ad esprimere il valore del loro legame familiare.
Cosi come i tre dèi delle montagne hanno ritrovato gli antichi legami che li avevano tenuti uniti fin dalla loro infanzia.
La storia in sè è stata ben scritta, non ci sono vuoti importanti che hanno lasciato dubbi, è evidente che ci sarà un seguito! E di questo ne sono molto felice.
Belle le ambientazioni, i trucchi, i costumi.
Molto ben eseguiti i cosiddetti "effetti speciali".
Bravi a tutti! Al cast intero, alle musiche, regista e fotografia.
