Unexpected, please watch it!

I always left cdramas halfway and came back later to finish them, only when I watched hidden love I did it in one sitting and with this one too. I didn’t have high expectations because of the ratings but it was so GOOD!!
At first I didn’t really like that he liked his friend first but please trust the process, everything will be explained.

If I was the FL I would have acted exactly the same, she was brave, she respected herself and did everything at her pace and I love that.

The ML could be misunderstood for how he acted at first but he had his motives to act that way and in the show it’s clear, he’s not too much he tried to understand the FL and did everything he could to win her back.

One thing I don’t like about cdramas is the peck kiss, but the kisses on this show were absolutely fantastic and realistic, i never found a cdrama with this kind of passion and chemistry.

The second couple was so beautiful they could make a cdrama just about them, the thing I like the most was that it didn’t take the spotlight from the main couple which sometimes happens, there was a perfect balance.

Every episode was great I never got bored even the last episode witch sometimes I don’t like because there’s no more suspence was perfect, everything was wrapped up perfectly.

This is my personal opinion, i understand that opinions can differ but i think the people who watched it maybe did it superficially, the message of this drama was beautiful.

The OST of this drama OMG, I never listened to Chinese songs but this drama’s playlist is definitely going on my Spotify.

The last thing i wanna talk about is:
It doesn’t matter if your love is reciprocated or not, of course it would be the best outcome if it is, think about how it made you feel, how those stolen glances made you forget about everything, how a moment only with you and him felt secret because it was only your memory alone and how him saying your name or maybe slightly touching your skin made you feel like your floating.

everything was perfect, but it could be better

dropped in ep19 .. the storyline is really really good I liked there's a Chinese FL who really cares a lot for her dignity and has self_esteem, Strong Minded doesn't lose her mind for such a man (crush/love) and she can really hide her Love if it will hurt her and her Dignity, and I liked that clingy Shameless ML who do everything to get his Love ,and I liked the production and decorations .. it's really perfect

but the whole show was really boring I can't handle, okay there were many things happened but it all were boring, even the funny scenes were so normal nothing special I didn't Laugh at ! even flirty scenes were not so strong as it should be

There's no chemistry between main leads at ALL, and FL's provocative smile was very fake and annoying, and she doesn't have any other reactions


I really loved the ost so far, perfect
but the drama? Come on I can't, I barely finished those 19 Eps

Escapist nonsense at its best!

I originally wasn't sure about watching this drama because the whole 'unrequited crush' scenario made me afraid it would be a cringe-fest. Instead, I had so much fun watching this and loved it from start to finish!

Now, I will say that this drama worked for me because I left my logical thinking in the other room while watching. The premise is very silly, the characters' actions would be wildly inappropriate outside of dramaland, and for a workplace centred story the lack of professionalism is epic. I did appreciate that the FL worked through the rejection of her confession and didn't immediately fall into the MLs arms when he started wooing her, even though she was pretty nuts with her love-at-first-sight and obsessive crush behaviour. He was equally nuts in his choices, it must be said.

However! The back and forth relationship between our mains was so, so darling. The feels that it gave me overwhelmed any rational complaints I might have had. Miles Wei and Huang Ri Ying acted the heck out of these two socially helpless characters. Their relationship, once it properly started, was so sweet, and their chemistry was excellent.

My one real complaint, which cost this drama half a star, was the crumbling of the character of Ding Ding (SFL) who started fun and then became pretty annoying. She chose to try acting but then whined and wept through most of the film shoot - so frustrating! If the SML weren't so gorgeous and tormented-artist-y I would have used the ffw button on that plot.

Loved the main leads' besties, You Huan and Huo Chen Dong, as well as the long-suffering assistant Gao. I want their drama next! The OST also worked for me - especially Wrong, which I've adored since Why Women Love.

I will definitely rewatch this one when I want to shut off my brain and feel my heart flutter.

A female lead that allows the guy to grovel.

Hear me out !! The reviews said that she was messy and honestly--i see why people say it. Yet her character does get better.

The first part was kinda cringey, ngl. The pictures of him on the wall? red dress to kiss him? She was doing too much. But let me tell you her character gets development. She's the very much loves the idea of love, and when she couldn't hold it anymore? she burst, rightfully so, call it 'karma' cause she is acting too much.

Onto the character development part. Start of episode 5, she chooses to be like, "I don't deserve this, I can do better" and she does, she pursues her own career and path, granted he helps in some ways, but she truly focused on growing. You gotta understand that she has liked him for years, ever since she was a rookie writer and when she admitted her feelings, then got rejected? She didn't let that stop her.

Most dramas have the male lead reject the girl, realizes he loves her, asks her back, and she goes back to him. Then suddenly there's a third party, and family members that intervene, this show? Does none of that. There are some characters that are interested in the male lead and female lead, but its not part of the main plot itself. Both parents are supportive of the leads and their friends are helpful.

IMPORTANT PART (for me): When he realizes that, "Oh, I never realized that she does mean to me." He learns how to be better. Cooks for her, openly tries to pursue her while respecting her at all times. At first she even kept rejecting him, and then letting him pursue her, and when she feels that she still likes him, she has common sense to ask, "is this a heat of the moment situtation?" its so rare to find a female character that doesn't gets easily swayed and shines in the same way the male lead does (career wise).

Most dramas are meant to be an escape of reality, something to get you immerse in something [I know I'll never have]. Yet shows like this one, gives the representation that women aren't always easily swayed and still can choose to pursue her career The romance is also so good, the maturity and intimacy was good. The show is funny at times too. (srs, the secretary and male lead was a funny duo, lmao)

Overall: You should watch it, give it a shot. I liked it.

Very nice , cute and funny series

Watched it because of Miles Wei - Wei Zhe Ming, his series has caught my attention lately. Overall, I would sum up this series as a very nice, cute, adorable with loads of funny and humorous scenes. The plus point, especially, is that it is not extremely long winded - short and sweet - without a load of drama / politics etc. It is a very refreshing drama with alot of quirky scenes. I find both the Male Lead and Female Lead are quite adorable together. Chemistry between both of them are also not bad. The other character that really tug at me was Tang Ding Ding, played by Zhang Mu Xi. That character is extremely adorable and funny - portrayed extremely well by Zhang Mu Xi. I would say that the entire crew + casts did a very good job in bringing this series to life. Great work to them all.

It definitely - at least for me personally - is a re-watchable series (I actually binged it 2 more times after watching it)! However, if you find the synopsis interesting, just give it a go and decide if it is re-watchable.

The music is extremely great, pairing of the music is awesome.

Out of this world chemistry! A FL with the balls of brass! A green flag male lead.

Okay, there have been some amazing dramas out there, but this one always hits the right notes for me with its ups and downs.
> Started on a high note with friction and a hot kiss. (Got the enemies to lovers going)
> Other than the Kiss, the FL was wise enough to pull herself together with composure many of us wish we had after a rejection like that.
> The ML needed a little prompting, but once he realized his feelings, he was pretty solid.
> No extra people vying for their affections. I sure don't mind if there are people who are also interested in them, but I definitely do not like it when the manipulations starts.
> Amazing parent!
> A goofy adorable sister!
> Once they get together, being supportive of each other.

These two are just so good together and they bring that chemistry to the characters that might as well have been written with them in mind. Miles Wei has perfected the Lead Guy character, I will watch n number of romance dramas with him as a lead, especially the modern dramas. I wish there were more dramas with Huang Ri Ying with a badass lead role, she shines so brilliantly. I am always excited when I notice her in supporting characters in other dramas.

Let's talk about Tang Xin! That confession started so well. The confidence she had, to wear a bold dress like that on just a regular day was so ballsy! She looked good and confessed her feelings fearlessly.

Yes, let's address the elephant in the room, the stalkerish behavior and the forced kiss.

I kind of have a love hate relationship with that kiss.

The love:

> The visuals of it were so stunning, the way she kissed him, wow. At that moment, I wanted to be kissed by her like that. In this scenario, by the end of that kiss, he was looking at her shellshocked, as if she had changed his entire world. This fictional couple is going to look back at this in years to come and thing wow what a memory.
> The extras little moments at the end of every episode give us a look into their relationship before the drama started. They weren't strangers. And he has said many times that he thinks that they are not suitable for each other but that doesn't mean he doesn't like her.

The Hate:

> I imagine this happening in real life and thinking, yeah this would lead to a restraining order at least. Can you just imagine a man or woman sneakily taking pictures of you, pasting them all over their walls, or kissing you forcefully! It would be so traumatic.
> I just hope no one is out there looks at this drama and goes "Oh so that's how you get a man/woman." No. It is one thing to set boundaries with your partners about what goes and what doesn't but to approach a stranger like this is not right! Consent is a must!

That being said, Tang Yu gave a lot of mixed signals in the beginning and Tang Xin is crazy, the kind of crazy we love to read and watch about. It did make for a good drama. I just realized that both this and Only For Love came out in the same year, I certainly like this one better. I am a fan of Bai Lu's as well but, this is my 4th time rewatching this one and Only For Love has less rewatch value for me.

Great concept but...

Things I loved:

1 The heroine at first. I liked the beginning of the story and how bold she was.

2 The hero. He was a good character and was never coldhearted or mean like in so many other series. I loved how he pursued the heroine and how he did everything he could to fulfill her dreams.

3 The main actor. He's a good actor and adorable. He played his role well.

4 The sister of the main lead. I loved her. She was adorable and a great character.

5 The parents. They were perfect.

6 The best friend of the hero. he was fun and loved how he changed in the end even though I wouldn't mind if he stayed as he was. To be honest if I wanted a relationship to be developed I'd prefer the sister with him.

7 The setting. Whatever has to do with publishing interests me.

8 The relationship between the male lead and hi sister. Their scenes were the highlight of the show for me. Both adorable and such good actors.

9 The clothes. Loved how the female lead and everyone else were dressed.

Things I liked:

1 The director. I didn't love him but he was a good SML.

2 The friendship between the three women. It was touching and felt real.

Things I disliked:

1 The relationship of the second couple. I thought she was too young and didn't need to be in a relationship at that point. The age gap was ridiculous to me to be even mentioned. There was no real age gap, so I'm not sure why this was highlighted so much.

2 The heroine. I didn't like her character after a while. I get she was upset and disheartened after his rejection, but it took so much time for her to express some feelings that when it happened it felt forced.

3 The main actress. She's beautiful and I thought she was perfect for a romantic comedy heroine, but after a while she got on my nerves. I didn't think she did a good job with the romantic scenes.

4 The lack of sizzling scenes. Maybe it was lack of chemistry or that they didn't put the effort, but it didn't fell as good as I hoped.
