friends to lovers !!!

We all love the classic friends to lovers trope. I loved the pining and the unrequited love between the main leads and it was so adorable seeing Eun Soo realise her true feelings for Sunwoo.

I loved little quirks like the tarot card reading was adorable. I would’ve like an ending to the card that Sunwoo got though because we see that it’s no longer attached to Eunwoo’s picture in the studio but don’t get a resolution for it.

The acting in episode one was sorta off to me but I think park Hyung sik and Han so hee were perf for the role !! Music was great as well and so well incorporated. The parts where the music would suddenly cut out were awkward at times but other times I think it worked really well to differentiate the mood and scenes.

Overall, super short to watch because it’s just four episodes but def leaves you feeling so good and happy !!

There's a soundtrack for every love story

Soundtrack #1 is a discovery of love and shows the boundaries of our main lead bestfriends. The show is light and will make you want to go out and and date your friend.

The chemistry between our leads we're good and I thought both fulfilled what was needed of their characters, however there were times when it just felt off at times, maybe iust me.

it's simplicity is ultimately makes this show a skippable one. There are far better shows with "friends to lovers" with more depth and character development that I would not recommend it is a must watch.

the first 3 episodes was hinting at an opposite ending through lyrics, side characters but it's good it did not, because of this I didn't regret the watch since Han So Hee's eye candy visuals kept me in it and her being in a different role, raised my ratings a bit.

The Yoon Seo Ah cameo was hilarious, her chemistry with SoHee<33 reminiscences of nevertheless. It was also a great way to eventually build our FL's confidence to tell the truth.

Accomodating to it's title and lyricist lead, the show eventually gave fantastic heaftfelt OSTs that'll be on my repeat list for a while.

Short And Sweet!!❤️❤️

This was just what I was in the mood for. I was able to watch it in one day, and didn’t fast forward through one minute of it. It’s a friends to lovers drama with laughter, and the main focus of the story was both leads. I’m so glad I watched this feel good Drama. And guess what…it had a great ending! An ending that I wanted, not a breakup, not each of them ending up with someone else, or an end that just kind of left you hanging. It was complete from beginning to end. . If you are looking for something short, not complicated, no major side actors and their stories, a feel good ending, I would highly recommend this!

Boring and slow

If you want something short and simple to see, you need to watch this.
---
I really don't have much to say, it was the typical love story of best friends, you know: one of the two has had that one-sided love for a long time, the other doesn't even notice it, a bit of complications and both accept their feelings and a happy ending.
---
I wasn't sure about Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee's chemistry but it was cute, not the best but I've seen worse.
---
Something that I really loved was the cinematography and the ost that was 10/10 It really was the highlight of this drama.

Procrastinated Love

That's how I feel about this story. The love I imagined was unrequited. It's procrastinated love.

This drama stays on the surface and doesn't go where the feelings are. A photographer whose work is all over the place and that we hardly see with a camera in hand and a writer with absolutely no imagination or the ability of putting herself in other people's shoes. Writing requires perspective, not ego.
Also I've never met a photographer who just deletes all their past work or fun photos. They're all archived somewhere, usually in more than one place so they don't lose their work. Even worse, I've never met a photographer that had a darkroom and made someone else develop the film so he could be on the computer?!?!?!? DEVELOPING THE FILM IS THE MOST FUN PART! It makes absolutely no sense.

This drama perpetuates the idea that art is suffering instead of it being a skill, a different way of seeing and a profession where money and power have a lot of influence. Honestly, the most unreal part about this drama was the PD님 accepting the rejection without damaging her career. Especially her being a woman. It's absolutely inconceivable, especially because he said he gave her a chance because of her beauty.

About the love. There is no love. You can feel a bit of passion in the first episode and that's it. I love both actors but this wasn't it. The only love that was there was when they watched a movie and he started crying while we saw Park Bo Young on the screen. I cried too!

They try to convey that love is caring and it truly is, but romantic love shouldn't be the same as parental love. The fact that she couldn't tell it was her mother and not Seonwoo who was at her place is somehow very telling.

This drama feels like warm beer on a summer day. It does absolutely nothing for you. Two people looking at each other in different ways and running away from each other and ending up together. They didn't even run that much, how could they have found each other?

I get it. Love is hard, it ruins friendships and life happens. That's a given. However, if we looked at people differently and at relationships differently as well, life could happen in a different way.
Love should be easy. The person you're with should be respected during and after things are over. And women and men can certainly be friends, even if there is a physical attraction at some point. People shouldn't be reduced to their urges. Fiction is a way of producing change, not just perpetuating stereotypes.

This drama aims at the notion that women and men can't be just friends. I really think that's a terrible message to put out there that will send us back even more. Women are already shamed for "putting men in the friendzone". The problem with this notion is that it puts women in the ever demeaning position of only being of interest to men when they can serve them in some way. How can we make progress if we keep pushing these notions forward? Yes, friends to lovers is something beautiful and common but it shouldn't come at the expense of true friendships between two different genres. Those last sentences about this in the drama should not have been said.

The last tarot cards suggested to follow her heart with determination. I didn't see any of that. I saw hesitation, pettiness and hidden feelings. I didn't see the feelings bursting from the chest like she said they were. If they were there would be unrest, impatience and yearning in the eyes. When she's confessing you can't really read Seonwoo's face. It's like he's being told the weather. There lacks emotion, surprise for being found out, confusion and giddiness for what's being revealed.

It was all very lukewarm. A warm beer on a summer day. It doesn't do much for you.

[And I don't even like beer]

The Desirable Cliche'

It's a short and sweet drama divided equally for both the MC and FMC's perspectives.
The theme of unrequited loved is complex but this sweet journey takes you back to your own experience if you ever had one.
The first episode is the best, too powerful but after that, the drama drags a lot and the direction gets messy it's due to the writing, the writer didn't have enough of a plot to move further.

Overall Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee acted like a charm . Great chemistry indeed!
A decent watch.

PS : Do Focus on the soundtrack in episode one, the accordion and the piano at times as well as the guitar.
If ever a sound director deserved an award it should be for this episode.

Lovely and satisfying story

What a lovely little satisfying story. It could be your or mine story. No unnecessary dramatics, just pure emotions. Gold!!!
Acting was competent and enjoyable. Really enjoyed the character of FL's mom, who was remarkably astute.
Music was certainly a big plus here. Beautiful, modern hummable tunes which wouldnt leave the head once heard.
The story was very relatable. The characters seemed people you would have met. Some of it was cliches but mostly it was a fresh sweet story. Loved the way the ML didnt make a fuss of wounded pride once he understood the FL only wanted him as a friend and stayed in touch even after. Loved the way the FL fell in love without any dramatic intervention from the ML or her friends. Her realization of how pure her emotions were about him was spot on.
Highly recommend this drama.

Short and Sweet

This is the first time I've watched such a short drama (if it could be called one really) since it's about the same running time as a full-length movie. However, with such a cast, I couldn't not watch it. The story is predictable, but gave me the feels through its entirety. I will admit that I watched it on 2x speed (oops) so I'm not too sure if it could have felt a tad slow at a normal pace, but overall, I thought it was well-done and an easy watch. The chemistry between the cast were all wonderful and natural as well!

Short and sweet

Short and sweet, I feel like this drama packed in just the right amount of information for the time it was given — but I can't help wondering what might have been and how much more we could have gotten if only the drama was a little longer.

At its core, the drama is perfectly formulaic longtime friends-to-lovers, and I absolutely love the trope of one person yearning for the other in silence for so many years. And it came across extremely well, especially in the earlier episodes.

The vibe was slow and comforting; this drama just feels like a cozy winter watch if you want to feel your heart flutter.

It wasn't really until the last episode did I really start feeling like I wished this drama was longer. They did a great job subtly weaving in the characters' careers but I wanted to see even more of it. I felt as though time spent on another love interest (who we knew had no shot) was kind of unnecessary. And there are some school flashbacks that absolutely stole my heart that I wanted to see more of, some late night heart-to-hearts over rice wine that I wanted more time with, and overall just more exploration of why becoming lovers felt like such high stakes for them.

Still, this is a really good watch — unproblematic, safe, cozy, comforting, warm — it's just everything that makes for a great all-in-one binge.

Short and simple

Personally I love it when childhood friends get married so this bestfriends to lovers trope is good with me.

This gorgeous pair deserves more episodes though, 4 episodes is simply too short to be a tv show for me. Also, IF a tv show has 4 episodes only, I hope it would get dropped in 1 go. Most people would lose their patience waiting for the new episode, it's like watching a movie over the course of 4 weeks.

So yeah, Soundtrack #1 is a good show, my main issue is just the length of it all.

Sweet & Short

The story was good for what it was. You seemingly watch a one-sided love turn into a relationship, but for a drama that was only four episodes, it somehow managed to have bland parts that were too long. The story is not unique in any way. It is a safe story. I think the second love interest with FL lead was forced and uncomfortable to watch because it was a boss and subordinate relationship with no chemistry.

I think the chemistry between the FL and ML lead was great. I think both of them are great actors, but I have to ask if the audience would have liked this drama without knowing the cast? I am a big fan of the FL lead in particular and this drama shows that she can play many roles and have the audience feel many things. I feel as though without the name recognition the drama would not be popular at all or as much attention.

I think I could rewatch this drama simply because it is so short and how no major issues.

Soundtrack # 1 was a delight!

***This review may contain spoilers***

It is a miniseries which tells a gentle, soft and pure love story. I love how we slowly discover that Eun Soo and Sun Woo have loved each other since a long time ago. I enjoyed all the “Bonus Track” at the end of each episode. These details showed how they truly love each other. I also like the theme of loving and respecting each other. They didn’t want to confess because they don’t want to break their friendship, but they also don’t want to restrain each other to achieve their dream in their career. The ending was very satisfying to finally see them happy together!

Han Soo Hee as Eun Soo was perfect. I haven’t seen her for a long time, and I forgot that she was very charming! She portrayed Eun Soo very well. Eun Soo is lively but also sensitive. I also like how stylish she was in this series. Her hair, her makeup, her clothes and her bags fit her very well!
Park Hyung Sik as Sun Woo was also great. He portrayed the gentle, nice, caring Sun Woo very well. I especially love all the scenes he saw Eun Soo with Woo Il. He was very jealous, and it made Sun Woo livelier and funny! I did love the scene in which Eun Soo met Woo Il for work and Sun Woo insisted on drinking the orange juice that Woo Il offered to Eun Soo because he knew she didn’t like it. His acting was great, and he showed a childish side of Sun Woo, which I really love!
The other actors also did a great job and added fun scenes to the series.

Finally, I really enjoyed this series. It was short, soft and gentle. There were no villains. Everybody has great intentions. It was only about love. It was like a breath of fresh air!
