As wholesome as K-dramas get
I need more K-drama shorts like this one — it was brief and nicely written and was enough to hook and invest me into the characters. There were very few things happening and very few involved, and some days, we just need something as light and sweet as this. It was direct to the point, and being short, had little to no plotholes since everything was a plot device to move the story forward.(spoiler ahead)
My favorite detail is probably how Eun Soo was the one to confess her feelings first and how she said she couldn't swallow it like how Sun Woo has been doing all this time. I liked it because it was a nod to a statement she made in the first episode when she was wondering about unrequited love and why people don't just blurt out their feelings when they like someone. The details goes to show how different their personalities and characters are, and also adds to the fact that they were consistent in the characters established in the beginning.
It was a carefully written story and as it should be since it was so short! Imagine ruining a series that literally had 4 episodes. Careful thought and consideration were noticeably invested into the show and it's a wonderful comfort show that one could simply watch over and over again.
I hope we get more shows like this moving forward — short, sweet, and comforting, like a shorter version of Hometown Cha-cha-cha or Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.

I should probably stop watching these 3 hour long kdrama movies. It seems like they all (at least the ones I've seen) have the same 2 minute long happy ending. One of the main reasons I still watch kdramas is that they often have long & satisfying endings. This despite being only 3 hours long felt a bit draggy & yet we've still gotten the usual 2 minute ending! If I ignore the ending thing, this drama is alright to watch, at least if there is nothing else in your backlog. The OTP interactions were quite cute, though highly unrealistic for a friends to lovers romance.
In this genre the chemistry between the leads is key, but I feel that could've been better. The plot is alright, though there is no innovation here, none whatsoever.
There is a love triangle, but luckily there was no time to develop that, so it fizzled out without becoming offensive.
Also the OST is quite nice, however it's strangely underutilized. It's like they went ahead and commissioned some great tunes, but the mixing/editing in the drama is not taking full use of them. Just listen to the OST separately on YT & you'll know what I mean..
The picture is very nice, the cinematographer did a great job.
Speaking of 3 hour long kdrama movies. You Drive Me Crazy (https://kisskh.at/28300-you-drive-me-crazy) is a very similar story with an extremely similar plot sequencing, but it's like 10 times more exciting.

Friends or Lovers
Short and sweetLikes
1. "Best friends turned lovers" is my second fave trope. I loved best friends Sunwoo and Eunsoo and their relationship. Han Sohee/Eunsoo is so pretty, I cant imagine how Sunwoo didnt do anything after being friends for 19 years. Likewise, I cant believe Eunsoo didnt see how great Sunwoo is to her or that he has been in love with her for years. I guess sometimes being friends for too long one can forget or dont realize what they have until it's gone.
2. 4 episodes at 45mins per episode made this easy to binge watch at one go.
3 i also loved the overall vibe, the clothes, the setting, the house, the colors.
4. Park Hyung Sik plays almost similar role to his role in Happiness, which is the best guy friend who pines for his pretty best friend for years.
5. My fave scenes are when they slept side by side, when Sunwoo left for the army and Eunsoo broke down in tears, when Sunwoo asked Wooil if Eunsoo enjoyed the wine, when Eunsoo cried after Sunwoo leaves on a bus, and the flower shop scene when they met again.
Dislikes
1. I loved the songs but I thought there were too many songs and not one made a huge impact. I also expected that we will get to hear Eunsoo's songs for Jayjun and Taeyoon but we didnt hear them at all.
2. The editing for some scenes are abrupt and the music gets cut off.
3. We spent 3 eps seeing Sunwoo in love with Eunsoo but only one with Eunsoo. Wished they added an extra 30 mins so we could have seen her side.
Rating: 8.5/10

Sweet, moving, gorgeous actors, great production quality
Things I loved.1 The plot. It was simple but so well done that it doesn't matter. I'm a sucker for Best Friends to Lovers trope and I've seen my fair share of series and read hundreds of book with this trope. This one was one of the best. It was subtly done and it felt real.
2 The actors. I rarely found a couple with both the leads being great actors. I think they did a wonderful job conveying how they felt. No need for exaggeration, their acts, words, expression were truly enough to make us rule for them.
3 The past interactions. They were shown at the right moment and were important to understand their relationship.
4 The second couple and their relationship with the main couple. No need for a lot of words to show they are true friends.
5 How the story evolved to get to the realization for the FL of her feelings and of the feelings of the ML. It didn't feel forced. It could happen to anyone.
Things I liked:
1 The mum. She had few scenes but she was good at them. I liked how she got everything and helped the ML.
2 I liked the attitude of the producer.
Things I disliked:
1 That's because I have to say something, and of course it's meaningless, but the pull he wore in the last scene was beyond awful. What the heck was that? What she wore wasn't much better by the way.
2 The kiss wasn't memorable in my opinion. It should be longer, more close up and fiery.
3 I disliked that it wasn't longer. Because I needed my dose of them talking and kissing and dating after they confessed their feelings. It's a pity that it ended without them talking about their feelings.

Short & Simple yet Heartwarming
"Soundtrack #1" - 9/10It's a feel-good drama series. The storyline is quite short & simple yet so cute & heartwarming. It shows a one-sided affection that can leave us feeling of love, pain, attraction, infatuation, care, jealousy, grief and shy. The hasitation of 'unrequited love of best-friends' who are together for almost 19-20 years is clearly shown. As seeing 3 ep. Sunwoo in love with Eunsoo but only 1 ep. with Eunsoo. I wish we could have seen her side. The cinematography create the romantic ambience, made it realistic, full of emotions and very entertaining. I like how they align the bonus tracks. Seo In-guk as JayJun special appearance is nice. The ML & FL look perfect together! You can binge watch.
The music and soundtracks really made the ambience.
The only drawback is its too short, not at all rushed but only 4 epidodes, wanted too see bit more.😞 =-1
I will definitely recommend it. 👍

Short Friends to Lovers with a Hint of Music
- Classic friends to lovers trope with a lyricist and photographer- Unrequited love trope (eventually on both sides)
- Tells a pretty complete love story in just 4 episodes (with a few "bonus tracks")
- Loved the confession scene (ep 4); added .5 star just for that
- There is a 2ML of sorts, but is quickly resolved
- Main pitfall is that it is too short; I wanted to see more of their life as a couple, how they navigate their now successful professional lives and more music (given that the title is Soundtrack #1)

Short, sweet, and beautiful cinematography
Omg, I am loving this drama! Unfortunately for me though, I didn't time it right so I can't finish this in one sitting. But I just had to stop and write a review before I finished the rest. After two short episodes, I'm already halfway through this drama, hehehe, so I think having short dramas like this has its perks. But so far, I'm absolutely loving this drama. It captures the subtle and soft feelings of unrequited love so well and I love Park Hyung Sik so much. His chemistry with other female leads is so tangible and I'm gobbling up every second of it. The cinematography is beautiful and this is just a nice drama to sit down, and slow things down with. Its been a beautiful portrayal of quiet unrequited love and I'm honestly surprised with how much I've been enjoying this drama.
Unfortunately, I left off on a bit of a cliffhanger so I'm excited to see how the other two episodes play out. Hopefully, I'll come back and finish this review on a high note. Bye for now!
UPDATE:
AHHH. I finished it and I looooved it! I'm just really sad that we couldn't see more cute moments of the couple BEING A COUPLE. We literally only get a bonus track of it, so upsetting :(.
Overall, I think this is such a cute, short, and simple but beautiful little love story. Honestly, if they make more 4 episode dramas like this, I would eat them all up. Its great because its just a simple story with minimal problems and angst, just enough to keep the story going. Loved it, I can definitely see this drama being a bit of a comfort drama hence the high rewatch score as well.

If your best friend looks like Han So-Hee you too would fall in love.
"Best Friends to Lovers" trope portrayed in a way that doesn't make you cringe. It's everything you expect and as predictable as they come. Its a web series that knows what it is, knows what it wants to achieve and doesn't re-invent the genre. It ticks all the right boxes and does it well. Will it leave you speechless? No. Will it leave you wanting more? No. By the first few minutes you know exactly how it will playout and what character archetypes it will have.
It's as predictable as they come yet it managed to be enjoyable and charming series. What really helps this show is that its only 4 episodes long at 45min each episode. Nothing is overly played out, its straight to the point and has almost no sub plots. It truly focuses on its two protagonists and their relationship.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick binge or anyone waiting for a series to come out and need something to watch in the meantime.

I wish it would have been longer
They went all out with the aesthetics for this one! It was a beautiful looking drama (kinda reminiscent of the soft, dreamy feel of Love Alarm and Nevertheless) and with a ridiculously good looking main couple.Super chill vibes and quite interesting use of silence and pauses, both with the music cutting out at pivotal moments and also letting the characters reflect in moments of quiet that somehow made them more poignant. Which, if you consider this show is all about music, from the name to the plot, using sound in such an understated way to enhance the storytelling was such a smart choice.

Sweet Drama
Not much needs to be said about this drama. It is a short, sweet story. Here it is shown very clearly what it is like to have a one-sided love for a very long time and what friendship really means.
In this drama we see how both characters suffer and in the end we get exactly what we want to see. They confess their feelings to each other and become happy.. And that's exactly what you can expect from this drama. It is not meant to be complicated.
I liked this drama and the actors did a good job. It fulfills exactly what I wanted to see. That's why this drama gets 10 stars from me.

beginning of a drama
I loved the actors in this, and I felt the balance between subplots and the main plot was well done. They even had time to add in second love interests to spike up the conflict but everything went so fast I had no idea it was done till the end. I thought it was just begging we'd get to see them face their world and everything and grow in love, but nope, this was just a bit of a letdown because I thought they were going to go deeper. My favorite part was when the writers put her through exactly what she put him through. I was laughing but also so sad for her cause I know I would have cried if that happened to me.
Even in the end, we didn't get enough couples together time, and that's why it was so low for me. The rewatch value is higher because it was an enjoyable watch, but everything was resolved too quickly; the end was too quick. She found out too quickly, and it just felt like I just watched an extra-long movie that I thought was going to be a show.
The OST was okay. The fashion was good but nothing I feel I needed to copy or was struck by like they usually are.
Overall this was just a good story with not enough time to developed or not enough time given to the proper issues.

Sweet, Lovely and Honest
I'm not sure what took me so long to finish these four episodes - after a huge break between the first and second episodes I finished it that afternoon. It's poignant and hits all the right notes. It doesn't pretend to be something bigger than it is and delivers a true representation of one-sided friend love, but also how those feelings evolve, change and grow.
Park Hyung-Sik really does look at his leading actresses in a way that melts your bones - that kiss was truly beautiful, definitely one of the better ones!
Short, sweet and great comfort watching.
