How far can you pretend to be in love?

It is probably one of the most cliche storylines if you could ever think of something. A pretend love, and in the end, one actually gets caught in their own plan. I overlooked a lot of the flaw in the series because of how handsome Thomas is. I fr cannot take my eyes off him when he appears. However, the series does not only revolve around Thomas, but there is an actual plot in this series. Let's begin!

First and foremost, it's VERY dragging. There are a lot of scenes where you could think that "The plot would have still been the same if this scene was here or not." Next, some scenes seem so rushed. They did not even put any hints or foreshadowing regarding that subplot. the Girlfriend fiasco, it was so unnecessary! The plot would've stayed the same whether there was a girlfriend or not! It was so irrelevant! and it was something much like a last-minute idea.

Next, the MC's childish behavior. I don't have any problem regarding the MC's personality. The only thing that is cringe-worthy is the kiss on the head; that's my only problem with it.

The rushed side couples... SO, this is kind of a take from me, but I feel like the side couples were so unnecessary. I get it; there are others who want to be part of the romance but not to the point that it looks rushed? There was not enough buildup to the relationships, not enough information. It was all just a "misunderstanding" and I was "drunk" is so overplayed. They could easily make at least some essence in the side characters regarding their arch.

The Title. Your Sky... I hate it-- It is so predictable, and the I'm Your Sky and You're My Sea is actually so NOT it. There could have been a different, better title than Your Sky. The explanation they always do about the definition of "Sky" and "Sea" is so redundant. There is meaning to it, but no essence.

The Beach Scenes. Been there, done that; stop this, please. Many, I mean MANY BL's have at least an episode where they go to the beach, and I am so over this subplot actually. It's just so predictable and already overplayed.

Another thing that I find so needless is the fact that Fah and his friends run a Bar??? It was so not needed, but I know it was there so that there could be the idea of Fah being independent and someone who is reliable and mature.

On the other hand,

I am a sucker for handsome leads, and Thomas did an amazing job. I love the acting they have in this, and I do not find it off or forced. It seems natural, but also too calm. I would love to see the actors have more various emotions portrayed. The MC's family did an amazing job as well. They gave justice to the feeling of being hurt, being angry, and being forgiven. I could not bear myself to watch the confrontation scene between the MC and His Dad because it felt THAT realistic. It's like you are in the living room with them.

I also see the problems of other reviews about the maturity of the theme, but I do not see anything wrong with it. If they say it's fluff, then so be it. Relationships do not revolve around lust but rather the intimacy between the people. I love how after Fah gets accepted as the MC's boyfriend, they try to go all in but stop midway due to the MC not being ready. If you are looking for hardcore and mature BL, this is NOT for you. Do you see the poster? It's blue and cute! It's supposed to be like that.

All in all, this series is a good one-time thing. I do not see myself watching this series, but rather just reminiscing about it. If you're someone who is here for the 'kilig' or good-time series, this is it for you. It might be bland with no character at all, but it still manages to deliver what it is. A series about a fake relationship becoming true.

Light hearts and Sweet series

After watching the series I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it greatly. Its major in the fluffy department and full of sweet tender moments. The acting was good and there was good chemistry. I enjoyed the pairing for the most part. I liked how the showed the slow grow and very real moments of faking to becoming real. It has a lot of tender sweet moments. I found it did make me laugh and cry especially at the end. The end was a bit surprising with the parents especially dad but was well done over all if a bit dramatic at times as well. If you enjoy fluffy series of tender and sweetness then this is it. I really over all enjoyed everything about it and was a change pace. The cast was great and i loved the friends and how they slowly get there own relationships.

Predictable plot but STILL SO CUTE

With its fake-relationship-turned-real-lovers plot, the series is giving 2gether energy. A clueless freshman agrees to be in a fake relationship with a popular senior, only to fall in love with him over time.

In 2025, I would think that this type of storyline has become predictable and boring. So why did I love this so much???
I get serious butterflies whenever Muenfah and Teerak spend time alone together under the guise of “learning to act like a couple”. Man, this trope never gets old.

Was I happy with how Teerak’s family conflict was resolved? Not entirely. It seemed a little too quick and easy. But for the BL world, that’s a fairly standard timeline and decent ending I guess.

It's called the midwest because every single thing in it is mid

So I am slightly changing how I do reviews because I have free will. I finished this show on March 25th and it is now May, so that is so awkward and telling you everything you need to know about this show. I am finally getting to the rating and I ended up giving it an 8.9 out of 10 (so a 9 out of 10). If you want a light watch that loses the plot toward the end. This is the show for you.

So I am doing what I liked about the show (so I don't completely dawg on a show). Yeah, I really liked the characters. That's one thing this show did really well. They all felt really real and not just like characters in a show. I really liked Teerak and Real. They were definitely my favorites. For two very different reasons. But still. the friend group too, was so great and really had me wanting more.

Okay, what I didn't like, it's lowkey a lot. The plot. It started off really strong and then once the assaulter got randomly phased out the plot dwindled. Which sounds bad but it is true. It just felt very lackluster and boring and usually, I have no problem with that because it's made up by cute moments. But the cute moments were also incredibly lackluster and very forgettable which sucked because it started off so fucking good. I wish they delved a little more into our side couples and understand why they didn't because they are side characters for a reason but they had such a good setup and didn't use it very well. Uh, what else? Yeah just doing more with the characters and with the show in general. Ending on a positive note i am so glad every couple is getting their own show after this because they had great chemistry.

Okay, let's see what relevant things i said in my episode reviews. Right off the bat, I said so many funny things. "Not a clue whats happening but why cant muenfah be minefah the fuck. I want him. Whole friend group full of clowns lmao. Im dying. I can tell why he is so happy his family seems amazing. Teerak tall as fuck oh my god. Like they are trying to make him cutesy and small but the nba needs a center because he looks 6’4. This show is lowkey funny as shit and I’m having so much fun. Me and oh have beef now bc what the hell. I know teerak a freak lmao.” They established the fake dating trope. Right of the bat our couples were set which is nice to see. Slow burn shit. Around episode 6 the show's interestingness slowly started to fade.

Everyone is so sexy but the show felt very awkward at times. I cant really explain it. Lee was one of my favorite characters because he is so bad and nonchalant. There wasn't enough action and the biggest plot twist was the dad being homophobic. i was gob smacked. They were running out of plot towards the end swear to god. I hated the ending because they could have done so much more with it, but its okay. The fmv i posted of this show is my most viewed video on youtube so it was all wins.

Yeah, i would recommend it if you want to turn your brain off and half-watch. If you want something interesting, skip out on this shit. Okay bye!

I’d watch ThomasKong watch paint dry

I’m a total SUCKER for fake dating plot lines and then add on top of that it being same sex couples *take all my moneyyyyy*. I mean this with my whole chest when I say you can’t convince me this drama was bad when Thomas and Kong were the leads. Their chemistry just had me giggling and kicking my feet like I was a whole fifteen year old.
Baby any drama where the kissing isn’t dead fish and the cast is cute call me seated. But no fr jokes aside, the drama was cute and light with fluff. I do think the cast could use a little more experience with acting but I’d forreal watch anything they’re in.

Love Can Make People Grow Better

Review: Your Sky
A touching romance that grows from fake to real. PS : Don't listen to objective reviews because i can TOTALLY ASSURE you that anything about enjoying a series is SUBJECTIVE. So just try to watch it first, then judge for yourself.
---
Storyline:
A well-paced love story where a fake relationship between Muenfah and Teerak slowly becomes real. It’s sweet, emotional, and easy to get invested in.
---
Character Growth:
Muenfah starts off cold and reserved, but gradually becomes warmer and happier thanks to Teerak.

Teerak learns to stand up for himself and stops being a people-pleaser.
Their development feels natural and satisfying to watch.
---
Romance & Chemistry:
Their evolving relationship is full of blush-worthy moments. The transition from awkward to affectionate is heartwarming and believable.
---
Acting:
Despite being rookies, both actors deliver standout performances with impressive emotional range and chemistry.
---
Soundtrack:
Catchy and mood-perfect. The OSTs make the emotional moments hit even harder.
---
Final Verdict:
Your Sky is a heartfelt, well-acted series with lovable characters, strong chemistry, and a truly rewarding romance.

Smooth and light drama

A nice and light drama and a series that is close to my heart like the drama “ see your love” The events go well The chemistry between the leads The cinematography The music all played a big role in this drama As for Terak and p'Fah they have a very wonderful aura between each other I feel it every time a scene appears Also am I the only one who feels that Terak and p'Fah are comfortable with each other But with all my heart I fell in love with them Also I felt bad because of what happened to them Let me say that my heart was broken because of the scenes and I felt that I was there with them But their relationship is nice and I praise it to the followers

ThomasKong!

I ended up waiting to watch this one until it had finished airing, and I'm glad I did because watching it all at once was so fun. It's a bit of a stereotypical fake dating plotline, but it was so sweet and fun. Thomas and Kong killed it in these roles!

Teerak (Kong) has a problem saying no to people, so when Oh, who has clearly been hitting on Teerak, invites him to his birthday party, Teerak says yes even though he doesn't like him. While there, Teerak ends up getting a little too drunk thanks to Oh's "non-alcoholic" shots. When Oh announces in front of everyone his feelings for Teerak, Teerak is paralyzed and unable to say no - which only becomes worse as Oh moves to kiss him. Luckily, Muenfah (Thomas) steps in, loudly proclaiming Teerak to be his boyfriend, even though they've only interacted once (and not on great terms). When the news spreads throughout the school, Teerak and Muenfah decide to keep up the act of dating so Oh doesn't bother Teerak anymore. Naturally, as the two work out how to keep this fake relationship looking real, they end up developing feelings for each other.

While the plot was predictable, the chemistry made this show great. The characters weren't overly complex, but had just the right amount of depth to be believable and draw the viewer in. I do wish we got a little more of scary/cold Muenfah, but watching him soften so quickly for Teerak was honestly adorable. I think if I had watched this while it was airing I could've gotten a little bored with how predictable it was, but watching it all at once was super enjoyable, and I'll be on the lookout for more series with them!

Embrace the cringe

I've seen quite a few people saying this show is not worth the watch due to its cringe content and amount of cheesy corny tooth rotting fluff, and when I saw people say those things it kinda made me not sure if I should actually watch it, but I did... and all of those things are exactly what it is. It was cringe, cheesy, corny, and toothrottingly fluffy, but if you go into this show with the mindset that its gonna be those things, and you're just gonna embrace those things, then it is a stunning show. And I loved it so much. Because not only was it all of those things, but it was also one of the healthiest relationships I've ever seen portrayed, because why was I genuinely so thrown off whenever Fah just didn't do it with Rak because bro said he was just so excited, like HELLO?? I was genuinely so surprised, the NC scenes legit were so intimate in a way where the actors just seemed enamored with one another, like it was so deep that it low-key threw me for such a loop. I was so happy with all the side couples, I'm still pissed at Rak's parents, because wdym you're disappointed in him. Anyways
Now, I am not an avid fluff consumer, I do tend to prefer watching the darker shows with more plot and action, so the fact that I enjoyed this means that it's not a genre thing, I'm not saying you won't enjoy this if you don't enjoy fluff, But after a hard days work, and watching a lot of toxic relationships, getting to watch this show was just so happy, yes the relationship is probably a little unrealistic, no couple is this perfect, but I think that it's great that we're getting some over the top healthy relationships out here.
The actors did amazing, I think Teerak's dad acted his butt off in that one scene where he starts cryin about Teerak being gay (pull yourself together man) I didn't like the character, but I think the actor did an amazing job.
If you're going to watch this, just accept that it will be a lil cheesy at times, (a lot of the time) but honestly I loved it for that, it is very unrealistic, no college students do or should act this way, but that's why its fiction y'all!
Anyways, I cant wait to see these two in their upcoming show (Magic Lover) Another show that will probably be very fluffy and I'm gonna eat it up.
Honestly some shows do not do fluff well, but I think this one did it great, I don't quite know what is different about it from other fluff-filled shows, but this one was different and I barely cringed from it.
The End.

Typical paradigm in homosexual relationships

Looking at the series in a more reality-related lenses, I find the initial scenes and acting of the series horrendous. With all the storyline laid out for the viewers, it is an exemplar of bad-written and cliche BL series, doing a disservice to the impressive repository of series lingering out there that constrains the usage of heteronormative roles in homosexual relationships. I cannot comprehend how viewers could actually relate to this kind of shebang with a serious mindset of appreciating the homosexual community. The only acceptable rationale for the viewers to watch is the visually breathtaking appearance of the cast and an anti-depressant pill from the rigorous society with malicious prejudices against such communities.
Listing this film as a representation of the homosexual community is an overstatement of the actual struggles and adversities that the people perceived as ''against-the-nature-of-things'' face. Such series belongs to the wattpad trajectories with major fillings in the plot and how it is represented instead of being shown to the public with a platform as big as GMMTV.

Diabetes Inducing with hints of drama

Honestly, I liked this show a lot. While it did have a fe w cringe moments, there is a lot of other things I like more.
1. The entire show is a green forest for one. I love how non-toxic and healthy all the CP relationships are.

2. (The point is my fav) Healthy and open com munication! The leads have such a healthy communication thing going on that it's healing my trauma from all the misunderstanding-heavy BL's.

3. Both the first and second couple have really good c hemistry. There's absolutely no doubt about that for me. Didn't feel anything for the third couple, but we also didn't get much from them, so that's probably why…

4. Massive character growth from the MC.

5. Вecause it's really fucking cute and creating unrealistic expectations. Just seeing Fah and Rak's relationship made me squeal, but also I feel kinda jealous lol.

CONS
On to the negative side, there’s quite a few things that annoyed me. I, personally was able to look over it, but definitely will not be able to.

1. MC is quite childish and naive. Honestly, I can understand why he’s the way he is, but many viewers might find this trait unlikable or unbearable.

2. In classic BL fashion, some things that should be taken seriously were taken too lightly. In an attempt to keep the show in the cutesy stage, the drama has just glossed over a few things that I found very problematic.

3. Cringe Dialogues- While I found this mostly cute, some of the dialogues were just too much. It just felt like even the most cutesy adults shouldn’t be saying such things.

4. Some stiff acting moments- there was a couldn’t le of moments that felt a bit too stiff and took me out of the story, but considering most of the actors are new, this was a very good performance.

Overall, I would say that if you’re looking for a light, fluffy, and cutesy show, then you might be in the right page. However, this show isn't for everyone. It isn't really plot driven and is just a cute fluffy show(my cup of tea), so if you prefer plot heavy shows like Not Me or ITSAY, then this is definitely NOT for you!
