What a deception!
When the trailer was revealed, I was really, really happy because I loved ThomasKong in DMD Friendship. I watched the pilot like 30 times and was very impatient to see the series. Then they posted the final trailer, and I started to feel unsure about whether I would actually like the show because they had changed some scenes I really liked in the first pilot. But whatever, I thought, the trailer is not the series. Then (maybe my expectations were too high), I watched the first episode, and I was like, "Yeah, it looks like it might be good." I already had a feeling I was going to end up disappointed, but I really wanted to give it a try because I love the actors. And who doesn't enjoy a cute and fluffy series from time to time?
First: Fah and Teerak's relationship.
It was really badly written. Fah had only one expression, he wasn't very interesting, but I could overlook that. What I couldn't ignore throughout the whole series was Teerak’s personality. WHY IS HE ACTING LIKE A LITERAL CHILD? I understand that they wanted him to be cute and innocent, but it was done in a really weird way, and there was never a moment where he acted like a normal 18- or 19-year-old. It really put me off, and I couldn't watch any of their intimate scenes, I was really uncomfortable.
After about five episodes, I had a hard time continuing. It was just too much, and even though I really like ThomasKong, nothing could have saved it.
Then, Real and Hia. I really enjoyed their dynamic, but why, WHY?? did they give them so little screentime? (Same goes for Glai and Lee.) There were so many Fah and Teerak scenes that could have been cut to show more of them. I'm sorry, but there were a lot of useless or weirdly executed moments, they lost themselves in the script way too many times.
I absolutely loved Lee and Glai; they were really cute, BUT WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM? I WANT THE REST OF THE STORY!!! Why would they end the series like that? After like 8 episodes I totally lost my interest for the main couple, I was really just watching for them and RealHia, but even in the last episode, they still chose to include pointless scenes with Teerak acting like a kid and Fah smiling like an idiot because he thinks Teerak is cute (which, by the way, is literally Fah’s only personality trait).
I would've preferred a real conclusion for each couple rather than an NC scene with a suddenly not-so-innocent Teerak. Like, WTF? He was acting like a 6-year-old ten minutes earlier (make it make sense!)
In conclusion, I think that there were a lot of problems in the script and the directing, there is not a single actor who could have saved this ( as the episodes progressed, the acting became worse and worse. I think they did what they could, but for example, the scene of Hia asking for help to sort things out with his argument with Real WHAT WAS THAT??). I don't think that I will ever rewatch it and if i do it will not be for Fah and Teerak.
I hope that Thomas and Kong will have a new series as main and that it will have a good writting and plot. Also, Teetee and Port won dmd friendship so they should have a series as a main couple, hope it will be good and I really want a new series with Auau and Save!

Wasted potential
When I first read the plot and watched the trailer I was so excited to follow the journey of Teerak and Muenfah — such a pity that the main plot that I had learned about and loved so much was lost somewhere midway through the series. Oh was the main villain but also an important character for the storyline that they set up as he basically was the reason for it so once they got rid of him around ep 5… the show lost its initial purpose. I wouldn’t even notice it probably if the storyline’d remain interesting but Teerak’s and Fah’s relationship was simply boring. It was only getting worse plot-wisely. It lost its course completely and became a plotless, basic and, dare I say, boring drama. They focused on building up the relationship of the main characters but there was nothing special about them or their background, they faced common problems that we’ve seen in hundreds other series already. The fake dating thing was actually interesting and in a way quite unique — such a pity they threw it away so quickly and chose the most basic way forward. Of course, there are events in the show that I enjoyed very much but they were strongly overshadowed by the dragging of those useless plot points . If I were to touch the acting — I was VERY impressed. I love the way Kong portrays Teerak and Teerak’s mother did a significantly GREAT job as well. All the friendships felt overall very natural and playful which made watching the series a pleasurable experience in this certain aspect of it HOWEVER — Thomas. I feel like he lost Muenfah a bit. I met Fah as this cold person that everyone was afraid of but learned that he has a soft spot for Teerak, that gave his character a bit of depth which sadly was getting shallower and shallower as we were getting nearer the end. At some point Fah was a completely different smiley fluffy person which felt fake most of the times. It could’ve been a scenario issue tho. I was very pleasantly surprised by Real and Hia. Their storyline was a bit toxic with all the forcing that was going on but their relationship seemed very personal, special and one-of-a-kind type of shiat. I wish we could get more of Por and TeeTee instead of endless fluff and mostly uninteresting problems of the main characters. Was this review helpful to you?

REAL & HIA WAS ONLY MY SKY HERE
I was really excited when this one is released .. I really find it exciting too on the first 4 episodes how's TeeRak and Thomas will meet and develop feelings to each other .. but along the way I find it too much .. I realized I have seen so many stories like this and the only difference is the actors , it was like same story over and over again in a different Worlds.TeeRak was at first so cute and fluffy but along the way he was too much .. I was not comfortable anymore with his character ( not the actor coz he is so cute ) he was like a toddler .. I did not like the way his sister was too much protective about him .. I cannot even enumerate every excess things that hopefully was not done in this drama
the only reason I was able to finish this is because of HIa and Real ,, I actually skipped everything on the last part of this drama except on Hia and Real moments.. I just like them and they have so much more chemistry than the main lead so I really hope they would have their own drama.
Thomas is really handsome I just felt like there is no chemistry or maybe not that .. maybe not much chemistry I guess maybe it needs a little bit more .. or should I blame the character ? coz I was really hoping that maybe if the character is different, chemistry is better or maybe be taken out ..
all in all Hia and Real is the reason I am able to finish this one .. they are my sky

Sweet but one-dimensional
I feel that Thomas, as beautiful as he is, is just one-dimensional. Kong got better throughout the series but Teerak's 'oh no don't kiss me' mixed in with suggestively getting on his knees in front of Muenfah, all in the same episode, didn't work for me. Teerak being overly innocent was too much and too annoying. He's what, 18? 19? but genuinely thought he was having a heart problem because he felt fluttery around Muenfah. His insistence on his Dad kissing his head seemed a little strange for me, but perhaps it's a cultural thing. I used to love my Dad kissing my head, hugging me or giving me a pat on the head, but the over-dramatic neediness from Teerak about it, gave me 7-yr old vibes.I loved Babe & Dom together, both families were really nice, and I thought Auau and Save were the best actors, and have a lot of chemistry and potential. Grandpa was the MVP for me!

I Don't Know How to Feel...
I remember watching the trailer for this and being like, "Yeah, this is my shit, cheesy uni-love story that will be filled to the brim with cringe and awkwardness... I'm seated!" I weirdly enjoy series like this that take you out of reality to pull you into a story that's literally there to be silly and light-hearted and rather fluffy, and I feel like Your Sky did exactly that. But, even knowing what I was getting myself into with this series, I think, with some very odd twist, I didn't like this at all.Let's Dive In.
So You Sky, produced by the same people of Cutiepie, have given us this fluffy, cutesy BL series that is literally about a fake relationship turned real. It has everything you can think of: accidental close-proximity, accidental touching, wiping mouths, giving baths, piggyback rides, around-the-waist motorcycle rides, blah blah blah. If I was rating based on the first few episodes, I feel like I would've told you this was the perfect blend of cringe and cuteness. I actually enjoyed Fah and Rak's love story, and I was very impressed by how they handled their first real kiss. but honestly, after that, everything just goes downhill for me.
Let's start off with just analyzing Teerak for a moment. For the majority of the episodes, they treated him like a child. When he started developing feelings for Fah, he literally thought he was having heart problems. What the literal fuck. I can understand wanting a character to have some pureness, some innocent-ness to them, but Rak was treated like he was a 7-year-old in a grown man's body. Which is why their NC scenes don't make sense, and are so hard to watch. I normally have no problem watching NC scenes, but the cut from Rak being this cutesy I-barely-know-how-to-tie-my-shoes to then being this sex-driven grown man was very off-putting. I wanted him to act like how his character would act, I wanted him to be shy and very giggly-like, but instead, he seemed to know how to have sex and how all of it worked. Weird. I feel like in the midst of coming up with Rak's character, the writers were just as discombobulated as we were. If they wanted him to be innocent, they should've went all the way, that's just how I feel.
As much as I love cringey, I think this series took that and ran with it. I said is somewhere on Reddit, and I'll say it here: I wanted this series to give me weird and cringey but all in a good way like Secret Crush on You, but what’s stunting that the most and more than anything, is the acting. Since seeing episodes 11 and even 12, I feel like the acting thing is more false than true, but at the beginning of this shit, the acting was just bombastically bad. Anytime Rak and Fah were suppose to have a "accidental close proximity", it was so robotic and "this is what the director told us to do" instead of feeling natural, which is why it created a certain cringe that I wasn't ready for.
Moving onto the relationships, like I said, I really liked Fah and Rak at the beginning, but could care less for them by the time they get together. I think both actors did the best they could, but Rak was literally just told to be cute, and Fah was told to only smile when looking at Rak. I hated how one-dimensional Fah was, I hate they gave him no other storyline than to be brooding and smile only when looking and mentioning Fah. Thomas is a great looking man, so it makes it a little less annoying.
The side couples honestly did nothing for me. Hia and Real were nice, but Real was a very red-flag character, and they looked over all of his toxic behavior in favor of hurrying up to get him and Hia together. I already didn't really care for them in the beginning, and I still didn't care for them at the end. Although, they did this hot pickup kiss thing, and I loved it.
What kept me on my toes was the relationship they teased with Lee and Klaijai, and then for them to do basically nothing with it. Very annoying, very much so wasted my time.
I liked that Mike is back in the acting scene, although, I will say he felt rather weird in this role only because he's such a vet actor working with these newbies. I hope he can potentially get his own series with this company. I liked Babe, and then I didn't like Babe. I liked that Rak had someone to go to when he needed to talk, but Babe also felt like a nuance in a lot of key points in the series.
Overall, my feeling is that I think I can understand people watching this and liking it if it's for the purpose of not having to think and not having to over-analyze and you literally just watch to watch. If someone is watching this and liking it because they think it's some ground-breaking, show-stopping series with the best actors in the world... we need to have a very serious discussion.
Ratings;
Story: 6.5/10 - There's not really a story. It's minor conflicts handled all in one or two episodes, minus the problem between Rak and Oh. The fluff did fluff, up until it was too much and too cringy. The romance only did it for me a little, but I'm excited to see these two again in The Next Prince.
Acting: 7.5/10 - I think Kong steadily did better for me by the end, but in the beginning, it was seriously hard to watch. The best actors hands down are Save and Auau (Hia and Real), with Babe, Oh, and Dom's actors following next. Also, Rak's parents did a beautiful job as well, especially in episode 11. Thomas was there to be hot, and I'm not mad about it, trust.
Music: 6/10 - Didn't pay much attention to it, but I do remember it repeating "Your sky" and that's it.
Recommendation Value: 8.5/10 - this is so unserious and so fluffy, just watch for those purposes only. Also, Thomas goes shirtless a handful of times if that's what motivates you.

saved by good visual casting from flopping.
i don’t really get the hype this drama gets. at first, i kind of did because i can’t deny the first episode was really great. i thought it had the potential to be one of the best, but they completely let us down with the poor writing. it just got more and more boring as the episodes came out.the cast is visually appealing, but i don’t care if they look good when they act stiffly in a badly written series. i think there’s room to develop the characters more. most of them are lively and outgoing, but teerak acts like a child. i get that they’re going for a cute personality, but it just comes off as cringy to me.
then there’s muenfah, he’s always holding a freaking phone, and all he does is smile. even when smiling, he somehow looks stiff. it’s just so awkward.
to be honest, i feel like not a lot of people would watch this if thomas and kong weren’t in it. the series is only saved because of them, since they’re so hyped.

A sweet love story if you squint, ignore all logic and pretend your brain is on vacation!
This is a drama I would have definitely enjoyed a few years back or when I was a teenager.Teerak who is supposed to be on the cusp of "adulthood" , can't take the most basic steps without relying on others. The constant indecision and need for validation from others felt like an unnecessary plot device. Instead of exploring the genuine struggles and challenges that come with transitioning into adulthood, he ended up being reduced to mere caricatures of helplessness! Also, his sister's constant interference in his life wasn't helping the case. Though he does improve over time, the development feels too little, too late.
Muenfah on the other hand was the ultimate Tsundere, cold on the outside but warm underneath. I found his character rather endearing, driven by logic and reason, a contrast to Teerak's emotional turbulence.
Don't get me wrong, Teerak and Muenfah's relationship was sweet and they had good chemistry but it felt very surface level. I felt no real depth in both their characters.
The camaraderie between Teerak and his friends and Muenfah with his group, however was the highlight. Their interactions offered a welcome distraction and kept me invested in the story.
The second couple, Real & Hia provided somehow the comedic relief but somehow their love story wasn't convincing. The pace felt off and uneven. I wish they gave them more screentime to make their love more believable because they definitely had chemistry.
Acting : Thomas's acting was decent and believable, but Kong's performance in the emotional scenes felt somewhat underwhelming. The supporting cast also does a good job with what the script has to offer. Again, the characters are not written with enough emotional depth for me to see if they were really good or bad.
In the end, this drama missed more than it hit. While it's certainly light-hearted and digestible , a perfect palate cleanser, it lacked the substance and emotional depth that might have made it memorable. Recommended only if you're in the mood for something easy and don't mind characters who behave like toddlers.

a comfort show with some hiccups
Overall: the sweet/caring dynamic was fun to watch, but there were a few plot/character missteps. 12 episodes about 45 minutes each. Uncut on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/your-sky-episode-1-1mjy70t567o?lang=en_us - March 2025 update - episodes are being released on YouTube https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcTibKbv20S4l3tuUU0ydM9BzZEc0nrLm&si=LnuYC1wmH2gpjVlP As of ep 4, I don't see any difference between the cut and uncut versions. This review is for the uncut version as that was the only entry when I first reviewed this. Will try to look at later episodes to see if they cut anything from YouTube or not.Content Warnings: manipulation, non con touching/manhandling, punches, non con picture taking/sharing, coercion, transphobia, non con touching, victim blaming, homophobia, manhandling
Watch Suggestions (uncut version, only ep 1 is currently available as cut on YouTube)
- watch episodes 1-6
- episode 7 watch beginning to 3min and 52-end
- episode 8 start at 13:30
- episode 9 skip 31:30-35 and 38-44
- can watch all of episode 10 though the second couple annoyed me
- episode 11 watch 4:15-21 and 47-54:50
- watch all of episode 12
What I Liked
- showed a main character as kind through his actions at the beginning
- caring/sweet dynamic and that they communicated
- one of the few child-like characters who had agency (actively made his own decisions without being manipulated into things)
- supportive friend group
- Fah's loving and supportive family
- non cliche ex girlfriend
- intimacy and check ins, continued intimacy/not rebuffing intimacy
Room For Improvement
- character exposition dump montage with voice over for the other main character
- though Rak had agency, his continued child-like demeanor got on my nerves after he and Fah were intimate
- the stereotypical trans woman character
- nonsense stuff: so drunk he couldn't recognize someone but still able to stand/walk and talk, friends didn't seem to know what was going on but everyone else did in ep 2, that the antagonist didn't switch his focus to someone else
- in episode 6 they needed to show them filming so viewers realized that it was for the student film and didn't really happen (on/near the beach)
- in episode 7 what a character did could have killed another character, that was too violent and though the couple did briefly talk later, I couldn't totally trust a character that showed that level of violence
- a character randomly showed up to comfort Oh, they could have weaved that character in earlier
- nonsense in episode 8, there was plenty of time to say something to another character
- in episode 8 a 3rd couple came out of nowhere, could have built that up better
- the victim blaming in ep 9 was infuriating
- continuity error in ep 9 of no pants and then pants
- some of the camera angles were odd
- episode 10 with the apology letter and shopping part
- episode 11 a character acted totally different (and other characters hinting at it didn't work because what I saw as a viewer was different), the other adults not saying things right away, the manhandling, the 180 shift, none of it worked for me
- episode 11 and 12 should have reduced the family drama and spent that time better developing the second and third couples
- (neutral) comedy sound effects
Question - I'm wondering if the nickname "Saggy Cheeks" would better be translated to "Squishy Cheeks" - if anyone who speaks Thai can talk about the translation please let me/us know. "Saggy Cheeks" has a negative connotation to me but I had the impression that it was a silly nickname, not a negative nickname.

most PERFECT series I ever watched
I used to keep asking myself when I’d ever watch a series without any flaws and pure perfection.and this was it.
This may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but for me, it was the most perfect series I have ever watched. The story had no flaws, every single episode kept me hooked without any boring parts, all the music was fantastic, the acting was great, and they were so adorable, I’ll definitely rewatch scenes in the future and come back to it.
My first ever 10/10 given, I’m crying so much now that it’s over.

Another Inane Infantile BL Except Good Love-Making!
Because I binged watched this series, I gained 5 unnecessary pounds from all its sweetness coming from its plot. This is one of the most saccharine-filled series I have ever watched. And of course, it employed every BL cliché, trope, and stereotypical hackneyed ploy scriptwriters could possibly think of utilizing. There was absolutely nothing original in this series, except in a few instances in which they really excelled in storytelling. However, that was not enough to even make this series fully entertaining. The plot was excruciating, and the script was jejune. These kinds of BLs are getting stale and tedious. Yet I hypothesize they will remain popular. For me, I see wasted talent and storylines. Sure, there are occasionally good subplots here, but they are few and far between. How about maturing the protagonists. Take out the fluff, even half of it. Added more angst and reality even a little to the storylines. Enrich the story and give it some gravitas. These BLs are likened to movies way back in the 50s – fantasy romances of rich idealized couples, wishing it were us. Only this is for straight people (I am guessing mostly females) who think this is how young gay men live. It is an idealized version of a gay world. (Oh, we might WANT to live like this, but it just ain’t so). Far, far from it. Not even close. Was this review helpful to you?
