Another Inane Infantile BL Except Good Love-Making!
Because I binged watched this series, I gained 5 unnecessary pounds from all its sweetness coming from its plot. This is one of the most saccharine-filled series I have ever watched. And of course, it employed every BL cliché, trope, and stereotypical hackneyed ploy scriptwriters could possibly think of utilizing. There was absolutely nothing original in this series, except in a few instances in which they really excelled in storytelling. However, that was not enough to even make this series fully entertaining. The plot was excruciating, and the script was jejune. These kinds of BLs are getting stale and tedious. Yet I hypothesize they will remain popular. For me, I see wasted talent and storylines. Sure, there are occasionally good subplots here, but they are few and far between. How about maturing the protagonists. Take out the fluff, even half of it. Added more angst and reality even a little to the storylines. Enrich the story and give it some gravitas. These BLs are likened to movies way back in the 50s – fantasy romances of rich idealized couples, wishing it were us. Only this is for straight people (I am guessing mostly females) who think this is how young gay men live. It is an idealized version of a gay world. (Oh, we might WANT to live like this, but it just ain’t so). Far, far from it. Not even close. Was this review helpful to you?
Just dumb.
I have to drop this. I tried so hard to like it, but urg. Teerak is such an idiot. He just stands around and blinks. He tried to hold hands like arm wrestling. Literally holding hands is something little kids do, it's not a learned skill. He was about to stab some cabbage. Has he never even seen anyone hold a knife before? I get that some shows are over the top, but it's too much for me.Was this review helpful to you?
overhyped.
man i was so excited to watch this series after i saw some clipped scenes on youtube and instagram, the hype made me watch it alright. but jesus godamned christ this was unbearable. i sat through 6 episodes somehow and it's honestly just taking all my willpower to just smash my laptop shut, but no, i paid for this device.meunfah has one expression throughout the show, be it happy, sad, angry or whatever the other emotion he's trying to express, and it's a stone face, something like this 0-0. he tried to smile here and there, blush and stuff but honestly it did not hit for me.
also the teerak guy, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHH he annoyed the shit out of me every time he appeared on the screen with his fake-ass naive, wannabe cute expression. like no one is THAT naive bro, please. the cute role does not suit him. it got to a point where i started nit-picking on all the flaws in the character.
now let me tell you i'm all for the fluff type of person, like i'd even take crappy made bls if the fluff is worth it. but this just pissed me off. you know what would be cool? if teerak turned out to be faking his entire persona to manipulate meunfah, and oh is his right hand man adding fuel to the situation. something like a psychotic serial killer. but honestly, this show is a no-brainer, and it's not worth your time.
i'll be honest, i pushed through 6 episodes only because of the 'punlee' character and of course, thomas. he might be expressionless but bro is hot. i'm tired of brainless college bl's, or maybe i'm used to better quality ones. that's all i have to say.

Same Old
In a word- boring, very slow paced. I’m halfway through all the episodes that have been streamed and not holding my interest. There naivety and innocence is dragging the story down. I’m really disappointed and might come back to speed through it but for now I’m done!😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒😒

realhia...
At first i started watching this just because of the main couple, but as the episodes went by i fell in love with the second couple: RealHia. The actors Au and Save did very well and even tho it is their first time acting, they have incredible chemistry, their few minutes on screen were not enough for me at all, now i can't wait to see them in a new project together. There are many things i didnt like about the series, as someone here said, some of the characters were behaving or living very "mature" lifes, like having a freaking huge bar that just both of them were taking care of like ?? and they were drinking like crazy but they look like babies, doesnt really suits them, anyways, what made me continue watching the series was the second couple! Was this review helpful to you?

A Great Ending, But the Fluff Nearly Lost Me
As mentioned, the ending was great! The drama really delivered—especially the family dispute. Teerak’s father not accepting, while the mother was still contemplating at first, showed how not everyone is as open-minded as we’d like them to be—even our loved ones. I appreciated that the show highlighted this. That said, the first 5–6 episodes were a bit of a cringe for me. I found myself skipping through parts and even bumping the watch speed to 1.25x because it felt like it was dragging.
There was a lot of fluff, but not enough depth. The story never really emphasized Muenfah’s hard-headedness—just a glimpse in the first episode and his anger issue at the club. With 12 episodes, they could have given us more angst and tension to flesh out his character.
On the other hand, Teerak’s character came off rather spoiled and, honestly, a bit annoying. The goody-two-shoes vibe felt forced, and what’s more—he’s supposed to be 19/20 years old, yet still acts like a child, immature to the core. Also, Kong’s acting could use a little more polish; it didn’t fully sell the character’s depth.
Honestly, the main reason I continued watching was because of Thomas. He was so hawt yet sweet—definitely boyfriend material!

Disconcerting
I ended this show feeling so disconcerted. The storyline was typical. Nothing special there. I'm fine with that. What was most disconcerting was the casting choice. How do you have a show were the entire cast is better than the two leads? The actor playing Fah could not get his acting off the two dimensional page. To say he was as stiff as cardboard would be saying the least. Jumping over to Teerak - while the actor playing that character was better than cardboard, the issue that truly tripped me up was how they wrote this character so "innocent" that he seemed more like a ten year old ... Until the NC scenes. I NEVER fast forward NC scenes but I had to skip forward on these. Not because it was done badly, but because I couldn't make the leap from childlike Teerak to grown man having sex Teerak. They just didn't mature this character enough, imo, to make those sense flow well into the story.Additionally, the couples were disconcerting. First off, EVERYBODY's relationship seemed equally yoked in terms of maturity level. Nobody else, outside the MLs, seemed to act like children. But what struck me the most was how, almost, inverted the coupled were. Lee and Ghlai (3rd couple) got the least amount of screen time and yet we're arguably the most intriguing and adorable couple. I must also make a note here, that the actor playing Lee was soooo good. Such screen presence and natural. He really outshone most of the cast. I'd love to see him as a ML in a well funded, good production. Anyway, couple #2 - Real and Hia - had great sexual chemistry and I really enjoyed their storyline. I could have watched an entire series with them. The actors, most importantly, felt natural. Just a far cry from the disjointed acting and sexual chemistry if the main couple.
I felt the series is a solid 7 because of the side characters. Left up to just the mains, I would have given it a 5 probably.

An Unexpected Gem
I loved this series.I initially began watching the series due to the hype over the pairing of RealHia, but to my surprise I completely fell in love with the dynamics of the lead couple, Thomas (Muenfah) and Kong (Teerak). These youngsters are so sweet together, in a way normally reserved for female + male pairings. Both characters appear to be neurodivergent-- on the spectrum, in different ways. On the surface, Muenfah is emotionally cold and closed off to everyone, even with his younger brother, while Teerak is happily surrounded by the love of his parents and sister and is a sweet ray of sunshine who, unfortunately for him, has poor boundaries. When, due to circumstances, they come together, they address the under-developed aspects of each other's personalities and grow, slowly and naturally, in trust and love.
In the end, Meunfah gains a partner who loves him, deeply, despite his faults, and because he knows he's loved, regardless of those faults, he wants to change them to be a better man for his partner. This change also generates beautiful changes in his relationships with his own family members and friends. Teerak gains a partner who will always choose to be gentle with him, who will wholeheartedly love him and protect him, just as his mother, father and sister do, and that safety allows him to be more emotionally honest with those in his life, thereby setting gentle but necessarily firm boundaries with some problematic individuals. As with any healthy relationship, Meunfah and Teerak end up as each other's emotional safe spaces.
I'm thankful that the screenwriter chose to deviate from the usual shtick of having characters breaking each other's trust for dramatic effect. For other couples and dramas, that's fine, but for this couple, it was unnecessary.
I want to also add that the cinematography and directing were top-notch and all the support actors did excellent work! Thank you creators and actors for bringing your A-games.
And, yes, the RealHia story line was greatly entertaining. They're such cutie-pies. It was refreshing to have a series based in college where the majority of the actors looked the appropriate age for the characters they were portraying.

one of the best 2024 thai bls!!!
best way to describe this series is CUTENESS OVERLOAD seriously😫😫😫.ok but tbh i had not planned on watching this series when it first came out however as my more eps were released and I kept seeing everyone talk abt how good it was on tiktok i decided to give it a chance and i’m so so glad i did!!
every episode has been entertaining, the characters so loveable and the romance had me giggling kicking my feet the entire way through djskdneb. whoever choice this casting deserves the fatest raise ever the chemistry between all the pairings was just so good. one thing that did disappoint me tho was that i wish we had more leeghlai and realhia scenes they couldve developed both relationships sooo much more but instead just had a lot of filler scenes so that was a downside. but overall if youre looking for a cutesy haply show to mindlessly watch w no stress this is the one.
anywys manifesting a 2025 porteetee series 🌟🧘♀️!!!

A Dictionary of Thai BLs
I have compiled a handy guide to (most) Thai BLs -- including this one. I hope it proves useful to both seasoned viewers and newcomers alike. For my verdict on the show itself, and how I've used this dictionary to guide my ratings, see below.A: Accidents.
Come in many kinds, but the commonest is the fall-catch-kiss. Don’t try it at home, or you’ll end up in the A&E. Also used to kill off mothers in flashbacks.
B: Bisexuals.
Which every man is. And no woman is.
C: Couples.
Three is the standard. Two unusual. One rare. Go for four if you truly want to torture people. Quality of writing usually declines with, and for, each additional couple.
See Also: Love Triangles.
D: Drinking. Drunkenness.
A drop of alcohol is sufficient for the bottom to lose all inhibition, a glass of beer for the top. Both known to cause irreversible amnesia, particularly after professions of love or a night-time kiss.
E: Engineering. Engineers. Engineering Faculty.
The most acceptable setting for a Thai BL.
See also: Medicine, Medical School, Doctors.
F: Fake boyfriends.
Because, if there’s anything that’s going to get you out of a tough spot in this virulently homophobic world, it is pretending to have a gay lover.
G: Guitars.
Pathognomonic of bad BLs. The harbinger of all things abysmal. When you hear that first strum, run fast, run far.
H: Homophobia.
Generally absent, unless it can be (cynically) mined to manufacture a last-minute conflict. Where present, it's usually the father. It might be argued, however, that it is the BL genre itself that's ultimately homophobic, even Thai BL.
See also: “Don’t say Gay”, 11th Episode Curse.
I: Illness or indisposition.
Usually fever. Sometimes fainting. Often from a drop of rain or a glass of wine. Great occasion for piggy-back riding and dry towel baths.
J: Jest. Jokes. Jocularity.
Slapstick, often scatological. Growls of hunger mandatory. Throw in a few jokes at the expense of your effeminate (i.e., actually “gay”) and trans characters to show people how truly progressive you are.
See also: Homophobia, Transphobia
K: Kisses.
At least nominally present, unlike in KBL. Vary in range from fish-eye non-kisses to full on snog-fest. First kiss nearly always accidental. Common trends include underwater kissing & rooftop kisses.
L: Like. Love.
Used in such phrases as, “I am not gay. I just like you.”
M: Miscommunication and Misunderstanding.
The commonest and laziest way to manufacture a conflict. Usually involves accidentally hearing a half truth, and wilfully interpreting it against the other party.
See also: Forced Separation, Trips Abroad
N: Noble Idiot.
One of three acceptable ways to separate a couple. The idiot will run away from his love, in order to spare and save him, by making him, and us, suffer.
See also: Miscommunication & Misunderstanding, Homophobia.
O: Orphanhood.
A sure-fire way to coax sympathy. Achieved by death or abandonment. Mothers always die. Usually by accident or cancer. Fathers run away. Usually with another woman.
See also: Flashbacks.
P: Product placement.
An indispensable ingredient of East Asian BLs. Look out for rose milk, a make-up kit, or a carbonated drink.
See also: Subtlety (Lack of).
Q: Q-tips.
Essential to treat the whisper of a scrape, no more than the size of an ant, without which the submissive shall die of sepsis.
R: Reincarnation.
A way to bury your gays and have them too. Trades on cultural norms for acceptability. A premise that’s never put to good use.
S: Sexual Roles and Positions.
The difference between the dominant ("the top", "the seme") and the submissive ("the bottom", "the uke") must be maintained at all costs. The dominant shall be more aggressive, more violent, and the pursuer. The submissive shall be a shy maiden, who cannot be trusted to climb the stairs without falling down. The dynamic may be reinforced in many ways, most notably, age difference and height difference.
T: Towels. Towel baths. Hand Towels.
The occasion to reveal the perfectly sculpted and dehydrated body. Or to wipe out a food crumb from your lover’s mouth, possibly due to chronic shortage of napkins in Bangkok, or because our submissive has joined Riverdance and cannot use his arms.
U: Uniforms.
A bleached white shirt and a pair of blue or grey trousers. If at school, make the trousers short. If at university, add a grey jacket.
V: Varsities.
Basketball is unexpectedly the most popular. Followed by singing, since it always involves a national competition. Football & volleyball — sports that are actually popular in Thailand — are occasionally allowed.
W: Women.
Disposable. Usually limited to fujoshis and evil ex-girlfriends.
See also: Misogyny.
X: X-Rated (or NC) scenes.
More wishful thinking than reality. Usually involves one actor planking over another with minimal body contact. But, starved as we are, we’ll take it.
Y: Yikes!
Reserved for tropes that ought to be retired by now. You know what they are.
See also: A Therapist.
Z: Zzzzz… I’ve run out of ideas, okay? Much like Thai BLs.
Ratings:
— Story: Thai BLs have basically become an IKEA factory. We all know that. So, I wrote out this dictionary for fun, and thought to myself that, the more elements from it a show has, the less I'd rate it for story. Of course, tropes themselves are fine, and when done well, fun. Tropes can also be subverted and made original. But left to itself, a trope becomes a failing organ and threatens the unity of the whole organism.
— Casting: I give 5 for heat and chemistry, 5 for acting.
— Music: In Thai BL, if there's a guitar anywhere on the horizon, the rating instantly goes to 1. Otherwise, I tend to tune out most BL music.
— Rewatch Value: Less than 5, don't bother. 5 to 7.5, with generous skipping and skimming. Above 7.5, worth it.
Verdict:
Well, so far, I have counted almost every letter of the alphabet, from varsities and uniforms to fake boyfriends and nonsensical misunderstandings. Nothing about the show has taken me by surprise. In fact, I often felt as if I had gone to sleep and woken up in 2015.
The show is often undeniably charming. I won't deny that. Much of it must be due to the cast. Thomas and Kong aren't great actors, but they have chemistry, and of course, it helps that I wouldn't kick Tom out of my bed. That said, you cannot ignite a damp rag through sparks alone.
I don't know if I have the heart to continue this show: but, as it stands, I can predict how it'll end: a 11th-episode-crisis, most likely from a homophobic father. (Misunderstandings are already taken, you see.) Then, a reconciliation, and a happily ever after. If this is the case, please let me know, and I'll drop the show right now. I haven't the heart to see another show where homophobia is used as a mere plot device.
Update: Dropped.

DON'T SAY: Skyfall

Its fluffy fluff ?
Its very lighthearted and fluffy. Fah and Teerak had very good chemistry. I'd love to see them in a more mature drama because their NC scences we're very good but didn't quite fit with this theme. I do wish we got to see more of the side couple, mainly Lee and Glaijai, Lee had 6 minutes to get with his man and he achieved it. They were so cute but it seemed like an after thought. Overall a cute series not to be taken too serious but to just give you the feels and leave you feeling giddy. 8/10 🥰🥰Was this review helpful to you?
