Both the shows have a similar concept of a past connection between the male leads which leads them to being together in the present. They don't just have a past life connection, the leads are shown exploring this connection in detail. Both are heartwarming and cute rom-coms. :)

This is a movie as opposed to the drama, but this also shares a similar point of love transcending different people during the same lifetime.

This is a movie
But one lead is changing appearances regularly and he finds it difficult to find true love.
But when he does he's wondering how to keep this love with his changing appearances.

Somehow the drama feels so alike with this reincarnation theme. And the lovers meetings again in the present life.

These shows use past lives trauma and grudges for their plot. There were incidents in the past that needs to be resolved by the female lead's choice in the present day.
Hotel del Luna has an episodic style, See You in My 19th Life focuses more on the main lead's relationship.

Although they've got very different premises, if you're into dramas where the main couple are absolutely destined for each other by the stars then you can give this show a go. The leads in this show go through time and all laws of physics to be with each other, somewhat like how Jieum dedicates a whole life and a half to finding and being with Seoha. ATCY has romcom aspects somewhere in the middle of the show, but the emotional turmoil definitely trumps it all. Be warned.

In See You in My 19th Life, the female lead remembers all of her past reincarnations. In Extraordinary You, the characters gradually awaken to their "ego," remembering previous story segments and alternate historical timelines written by the same author.
• Defying Predestined Fate: The core conflict in both narratives focuses on breaking away from a predetermined path. The protagonists actively fight against established setups whether it is a writer's rigid script or the heavy emotional baggage and supernatural rules of past lives to protect their true love.
• Proactive, Confident Female Leads: Both stories feature fiercely determined, self-aware female protagonists who don't wait for destiny to unfold. Instead, they boldly take charge of their own narratives and actively pursue the male leads.

They are similar because they both talk about how lives from the past affect lives now. In "See You in My 19th Life," the main character remembers her old lives and tries to fix something important from her 18th life. This story talks about love, fate, and how the past affects the present. "Moon in the Day" likely has similar ideas, where the story shows how what happened in the past changes how characters act and feel now, mixing love, drama, and make-believe parts.

Both stories delve into past lives and reincarnations. Both shows are wonderful, with high-quality cinematography. The romance of both main leads is growing throughout the episodes, and we also get a secondary couple romance plot <3
There's an overshadowing mystery that creeps in within the midpoint of the show.

Reincarnation Fantasy about 19th life. Couple , tragic end , one remembers past lives. Theme is seeking to end the cycle with potential of having to harm the other to make that happen. Pacing similar as well.

In The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, the female lead travels directly through time from the Joseon era to modern-day Seoul. In See You in My 19th Life, the female lead repeatedly reincarnates while retaining her memories across centuries.
• The "Doppelgänger" Connection: In both series, the female lead encounters a modern-day male lead who is identical to or the direct reincarnation of the loved one she lost in her past/previous life.
• Chaebol Male Leads with Hidden Trauma: The male protagonists in both series are wealthy heirs/CEOs who deal with severe emotional or physical vulnerabilities—such as a critical heart condition in The Story of Park's Marriage Contract or childhood emotional trauma and sensory struggles in See You in My 19th Life.
• Bold and Proactive Female Leads: Both dramas showcase strong-willed, determined female protagonists who confidently take charge of their situations and aggressively pursue their goals (and love interests) in the modern world.

1. Supernatural/Fantasy Abilities of the Female Leads
• My Lovely Liar: The female lead, Mok Sol-hee, possesses a supernatural ability to hear and distinguish lies from the truth.
• See You in My 19th Life: The female lead, Ban Ji-eum, has the extraordinary ability to remember all of her past lives spanning nearly a thousand years.

2. Traumatized Male Leads with Dark Pasts
• My Lovely Liar: The male lead, Kim Do-ha, is a brilliant music producer living in hiding because he is haunted by his past as a former murder suspect.
• See You in My 19th Life: The male lead, Mun Seo-ha, suffers from severe trauma and PTSD following a tragic childhood car accident that killed his first love.

3. Mutual Healing Through Romance
• In both dramas, the male leads are emotionally closed-off, isolated, and protective of their secrets.
• The narrative focuses heavily on how the uniquely gifted female lead steps into the male lead's life, builds trust, and helps him heal from his past psychological wounds.

Proactive, Go-Getter Female Leads
Both shows feature highly intelligent, confident, and independent female protagonists:

• Nam Hong-joo (While You Were Sleeping) is a resilient field reporter who uses her future-seeing dreams to actively change destiny and save lives.

• Ban Ji-eum (See You in My 19th Life) uses the accumulated knowledge and skills of her 18 past lives to strategically orchestrate her career and aggressively pursue her childhood love.

Both dramas utilize the classic K-drama trope where the main leads share a fated childhood bond that is later reconnected in adulthood:

• While You Were Sleeping: The leads are linked by a shared childhood tragedy involving a soldier that altered both of their families' lives.
• See You in My 19th Life: The female lead meets and falls in love with the male lead during her 18th life when they are kids, before her life is cut short by a car accident
