Thank God this was way better than "Star in my mind"...
In the "fisrt season" they made little mentions to Fah and Prince future relationship, but in this one Dao and Kluen shown up a lot of time... I didn't like that, it's Fah and Prince story not Dao and Kluen... I'm kinda used to that already GMM always does this type of things.
I love Fah he's amazing, he kinda resembles me of myself so I think it's that that makes me like him so much ahahaha
Prince has an huge heart I'm kinda disappointed we sort of don't know anything about him, like why is he doing volunteer in the village? Is it because he wants to or he's suffering some type of punishment like Fah, Mase and JJ?

Overall I really liked it, it was easy to watch, it's a really soft BL and I enjoy that.

Far better than Star In My Mind

Director New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul has done extremely good job with this series.
Setting of the rural area and giving chance to common villagers with simple faces to be part of this series gave a whole different flavour to the series.

Postive :
1. Giving chance to Mek in BL didn't fail. He is hot, flirty guy and faaar more mature. Giving that there weren't too many misconceptions, miscommunication and side chick issues. There were but they didn't drag it like SIMM series.

2. Location! It's good to see the rural Thailand and we didn't miss it's flavour in anyway. The food, dialect, houses, atmosphere, school, bathing scenes, sports activities, marriage, rituals and beliefs and welcome - farewell ceremonies. Everything was there. Audience could connect to series (Audience here refers to those who like surrounding elements added to give a meaning to the story. Not for those who only wanna see lead pair 24.7 doing kisses).

3. Side characters like Uncle Phang, Village Chief's daughter Yahya (Prigphing who is remarkable actress!) and child actors who played Somphor, Wee Ah and others along with TopTap, Mother of Prince gave the series that sizzling element which was required so the series.

4. Connections. A lot can be said but I liked they added a calamity in village scene. Everybody needed a doctor in dark monsoon's night and day. Cinematographically the scenes got bold in design. A dilemma given to Doctor Pha to choose between other patients and sick boyfriend gave a good twist for climax episodes.

5. Beauty and miniscule intricate details like holding lamps, giving lucky stones moonbathe, spicy foods, traditional clothing and Prince watching from window every night gave a realistic angle to the series.

Neutral Picks :
Pairing of Mek Mark may seem odd at first but their acting is okay. I wanted to cry with happiness in their kissing scenes but couldn't for some reason. (I think tears are best and honest reviewers to tell whether this series was exceptional or not. Be it sad or happy scenes, if your tears come out after watching lots of BLs, we can think the series is rather great in connectivity segment).

There was a room for improvement in lots of scenes. Some scenes didn't make sense but I will ignore them there since there are only 8 episodes and they are giving all elements as much as they could.

OST was again average. Not below average but not any iconic thing either.


Negatives :
1. I felt Sincere character was underused or not properly used. His advices were followed by Chief of the village. But why? What was their relationship that Chief didn't reveal hospital name to Mark? Why?

2. If there could be better finishing segment for Uncle Phang, Pong the Pig it would be better.


Overall this series tries to cover a lot of things to connect with audience and it is successful in that attempt. But this could be perfected in lots of scenes. It could be a masterpiece but falls short for that somewhere. I also felt Prince's character could be improvised too. He only waited for Mek to propose him, to find him. He could do that from his side too.
The concept of the story of rich men with good hearts living among simple people wins the hearts. Sky in your heart!

Much better than Star in My Mind, therefore I enjoyed it more

Sky in My Mind was a huge improvement over its predecessor. While, SIMM had its moments it certainty failed and dragged on with the misunderstandings. Fah and Prince actually talked to each other & listened. The misunderstandings they may have had were solved pretty fast and easily. I will agree that the drama in the last episode was cliche because that's why cellphones exist lol, but it only lasted about half an episode. I appreciated that it wasn't dragged out for 2-3 episodes which is common in BL series. For that alone it's one of my favorites. Not only were the problems solved quicker, but I do think the characters were more mature and didn't easily fall into the childish behavior that Dao and Kluen tended too. Did Fah and Prince have their moments? Yes, but never to a child's degree. That was a breath of fresh air.

I also enjoyed the simplicity and romance of the series. Some scenes gave me butterflies and yeah, I enjoy cheese, so this was right up my alley. Think the setting being away from the big city helped SIYH achieve what it wanted to. Got to say the village where Sky was filmed was absolutely beautiful, took me right into the mood every Friday.

I'll admit Mek was the best part of this series. His acting skills and charm really did the heavy lifting when the series needed it to. I'm gonna miss watching him every week. That being said tho, for being a newbie Mark did a decent job. Although Mark still needs work especially in emoting better. But, he's much better than other newbies GMMTV & other production companies have put forward lately. I loved the chemistry between Mek and Mark it really made the series for me. May be in the minority but I think they had more than Dunk and Joong.

As for the music have to say the opening song is one of my favorites, used to hum along to it when it played. The rest of the OST was ok. Overall I give SIYH a 9.5 and will probably be rewatching when I'm in the mood to. It's def easier to watch than SIMM despite the drama in the last two episodes & for that it gets higher points from me.

The Sky over The Star...

Haven't finished but I felt the need to write a review. I've watched both Star In My Mind and Sky In Your Heart and have come to the conclusion that Sky In Your Heart is significantly better. The characters aren't frustrating and convoluted for no reason and all of the miscommunications don't last longer than necessary. Sky In Your Heart has actually been a pleasant watch.The chemistry between Mek and Mark is A+, they give me all the butterflies with their simple looks. Honestly don't need to watch Star In Your Mind if you wanna see Kluen and Dao since they unnecessarily at times interrupt the flow of Fah and Prince's story, which is one of the negatives but doesn't bother me too much. Perhaps it helps the story isn't high school related but I prefer it so much more on all aspects.

Sympathique, sans plus

Certaines personnes sont de la "team" "Star in my mind" et d'autres de la "team" "Sky in your heart". Même si j'ai beaucoup de critiques à formuler à l'encontre de la première, je crois que je suis plutôt de la team SIMM, principalement à cause de JoongDunk.
Le premier problème que j'ai avec SIYH est que l'histoire m'a beaucoup trop rappelé A Thale of Thousand Stars, avec certains plans quasi copiés-collés. Le couple principal ne m'a pas enthousiasmée, et j'ai trouvé assez peu d'alchimie aux acteurs principaux. Alors certes, contrairement à SIMM, il y a une histoire. Mais je ne me suis pas laissée emporter.

kuafah e prince viraram um dos meus casais favoritos dos BLs que já assisti, não acredito que eles não tem outros projetos 😭
enfim, eu achei sky in your heart BEM melhor que star in my mind, a história é mais interessante e menos cliché (mesmo que continue sendo bastante)
eu amo o dao e o kluen, mas a maioria das cenas deles aqui eram desnecessárias, diferente das cenas do fah em star in my mind que realmente impactavam a história
eu tirei 0,5 justamente pela falta de desenvolvimento que teve em algumas partes da história, o prince simplesmente desmaiava e ficou por isso???? gente não é normal desmaiar assim não 😭 mesmo antes dele ser diagnosticado com malária isso já acontecia
enfim, fofo, bonito e divertido, eu recomendo

bon dans l'ensemble mais très déçu sur la fin.

Je vais commencer par le négatif pour une fois car j'ai fini cette série frustré.
Le scénario est plutôt bien construit, alors pourquoi tout gâcher sur le dernier épisode en groupant les clichés habituels, comme si c'était une obligation d'avoir un semblant de rupture, des conflits, les ex... Etc.
Et en plus les excuses ne sont même pas crédibles, juste là pour pouvoir créer une fin de retrouvaille comme dans 95% des BL.

Ça me saoule car du coup on ne traite pas du tout le problème de fond évoqué pendant plusieurs épisodes et dont ils auraient pu se servir pour faire une fin plus fidèle à leurs caractères et au scénario de base.
Ça fait vraiment, Fin de grosse feignasse, sans imagination, qui copie ce qui est déjà fait. 🤬

Bon à part ça j'ai vraiment été pris par la série, le thème est rempli de mignonnerie à travers des thèmes plus sombres comme vivre après la perte d'un amour, la précarité, les différences, grandir et s'améliorer.
C'est touchant et c'est aussi ça qui rend cette fin si moche car on a l'impression de voir la fin d'une autre série, qui ne colle pas avec ce qu'on regarde depuis 7h.

J'aime quand les personnages se découvrent en se taquinant, de voir ce rejet de l'autre au début, se transformer en amour progressivement. Ça prend son temps et on en profite pleinement.

Dommage pour les rares scènes de rapprochement qui sont beaucoup trop prude, jusqu'aux baisés dont on voit que les lèvres ne se touchent même pas.

Voilà, une série sympa avec un thème un peu différent qui n'est pas révolutionnaire mais qui est agréable à regarder, tant qu'on ne s'attend pas à une fin originale.

mi ha fatto sognare

Ho amato l’idea di fare “Star and Sky” che ha due serie riguardanti due coppie vicine fra loro, secondo me è stata un’idea azzeccatissima in quanto è qualcosa di nuovo e fresco.
Inoltre ho amato l’idea di fare un episodio speciale unico per entrambe le coppie, è molto comodo sia per i produttori che non devono faticare a trovare cosa raccontare per gli episodi speciali di entrambe le coppie, sia per i fan che hanno avuto tutto in un ep.
Passando alla storia in sé e per sé di Fah e Prince, devo dire di aver amato tutto, letteralmente TUTTO di loro.
Mi sono sempre sembrati cane e gatto, erano carinissimi, poi pian piano si sono innamorati e devo dire che ho amato come sia Fah che Muse siano stati maturi al riguardo, Fah ha fatto bene a dirglielo chiaro e ad essere preoccupato riguardo i sentimenti di Muse e quest’ultimo ha fatto bene a rivedersi e capire che era una cottarella momentanea che poi si era trasformata in sola ammirazione.
Nonostante Fah e Prince abbiano avuto molti problemi alla fine hanno resistito e di fatto il loro amore non si è spento mai.
Riguardo Prince devo dire che capisco un botto il fatto che non abbia detto di essere ricco e a quale famiglia appartenesse perché di fatto lui non faceva volontario per farsi riconoscere o robe del genere, lo faceva per propria volontà e morale, è una persona gentile, che non esibisce il suo denaro e che è onesta, poi sinceramente al mondo sono molte le persone false e disoneste quindi molti avrebbero potuto trattarlo bene solo per secondi fini, invece non dicendo il tutto si assicura di come le persone siano realmente.
Riguardo Fah, il fatto di essere un dottore l’ha stressato molto, in effetti questo suo essere impegnatissimo con il lavoro era stato già un problema con l’ex, che l‘aveva lasciato proprio per il suo non avere tempo da dedicarle e purtroppo lui non è riuscito a riprendersi da quella cosa per tantissimo tempo, fin quando non ha incontrato Prince.
Sinceramente è vero che non è bello avere un fidanzato che non ha molto tempo per te ed è anche vero che essendo adulti ci si debba rendere conto che avere un fidanzato che fa quel tipo di lavoro significa fare dei sacrifici e sopportare la mancanza e la noncuranza, purtroppo la situazione è questa e per quanto mi riguarda nonostante l’ex avesse un po' di sua ragione in quanto è vero che comunque non ti piacerebbe avere un fidanzato che ti trascura però allo stesso tempo è anche vero che dato il lavoro che fa e il fatto che tu sia adulta devi avere un po' più di pazienza e capire la situazione, cosa che l’ex non è riuscita a fare ma che invece Prince è riuscito a fare benissimo, devo dire che è stato molto maturo e mi ha fatto piacere come abbia capito la situazione, purtroppo per Fah è una situazione difficile e per cui non ha molta scelta.
L’unica persona che mi è stata proprio sul cazzo è Sincere, dico io chiudi quella fottuta bocca che sta cacciando solo merda ma dai, alla fine però mi ha sorpreso, sicuramente avrà capito che non aveva più speranza e da come ho visto aveva la valigia quindi doveva partire e sicuramente si sarà fatto due conti e avrà pensato che con Fah sicuramente Prince sarebbe stato meglio.
Vabbè in generale ho amato sta serie, è STUPENDA, poi nello speciale tutti carini aiuto, ho sorriso tutto il tempo vedendo l’insieme delle cose in Star and Sky, ne consiglio vivamente la visione.

Digna de aplausos

Assim como o primeiro arco, essa série é linda, repleta de clichês e lições. No final do primeiro temos um pequeno spoiler sobre o casamento e o acidente, mas a situação só é explicada de forma completa agora.

Achei realmente linda a forma como as duas partes da série tem histórias tão diferentes, e mesmo assim se entrelaçam de forma perfeita, através do fato de Prince ser amigo de Khabkluen, o que vai fazer com que eles se reencontrem no final. Outro ponto que merece atenção é a família de Prince, que apesar de rica e aristocrática é bem moderna quando o assunto é amor.

Dentre as diversas temáticas, é maravilhoso ver a parte rural da Tailândia, aquela sem glamuor, inclusive mostrando problemas comuns do dia-a-dia dos aldeões, como costumes retrógrados de casamentos arranjados, o preconceito com pessoas que cometeram algum erro , a exploração dos mais ricos que não permitem que os mais pobres possam subsistir sem a dependência deles, a falta de suprimentos nessas comunidades distantes, e a tragédia que pode acontecer se alguém contrai alguma doença mais grave e não tem como chegar a tempo nas cidades.

A forma como o romance foi construído foi belíssima. Tudo de forma lenta e gradual. Aos poucos as barreiras de medo, dúvidas e traumas antigos sendo derrubadas à medida em que ambos abrem o coração um para o outro. A estratégia do amigo de falar que gostava do professor a fim de causar ciúmes em Fah, a maneira como retrataram os sentimentos do Tio Phang, que o levaram a ser alcoólatra. A forma como Prince faz questão absoluta de esconder sua origem e viver de forma simples. São recortes cheios de detalhes que fazem dessa série um drama tão profundo, sem perder a ponta de humor que fez toda a diferença.

A atuação é perfeita, a ost, tanto na voz de Louis como na voz de Mek é belíssima, a fotografia é impecável.
Umas das séries que cm certeza irei rever muitas vezes, e que mais faço questão de indicar.
