Nice and cute

Nothing really special here. It's that kind of cute and fuzzy BL that we all like. No major plotlines, not too much drama, a lot of chemistry and some nice kisses. 8 episodes is just long enough for these kind of distractions from daily life. I would like to make a special remark regarding the music. This made for a much better watching experience and I love that the makers here understood that perfectly. Also extra kudos for not using the sound effect button too much.

Butterfly levels are ok. Kisses are real enough. No particular peeves, just that it was not very original, but not every drama can or needs to be.

low expectation isn’t wrong

i’m not mad to this series because i dont give high expectations on it in the first place. it just when i know the screenwriter have all great series, and it’s the same director for star&sky, but the outcome.. is confusing. the story reminds me of 1000 stars, but at first i thought it can be better, though it is not. also i dont know who and why choose this couple to be the main lead because their chemistry is far from good. i’m really sorry i have to say this, it’s like they being forced to be a couple. and they didn’t understand the assignment. their acting, each actor (whole character), is not bad. but when it comes to only them the couple lead, with romance scene, i can’t keep watching it. and by that, i’m not focusing on the story anymore because i fast forward so many parts.

Het actor dipping toes into BL universe

While it's not surprising to watch Het Actor dipping his toes into BL world once in a while, for some reasons it's still comes off as a surprised for to see Mek agreed for it

Being paired with GMM fresh actor, Mark- I personally shipping MekMark more than with whoever Mek current girlfriend in real life.

In Sky in Your Heart series, I actually find myself enjoyed watching Mek character Fah as overly clingy puppy dog who always using his charm to win over something which I always find it annoying in every Japan Anime coz it's feels like it's been overused. For some reasons Mek makes it worked without it feels cringe .

Yes I agreed the storyline feels dry at some point due to it's slow pace and I wish we could just cut off Prince ex from the plot itself coz it feels very unnecessary to me.

Not gonna lie, even though it's already 2022, it still nice to watch BL drama where the main actor who's straight all his life founds himself immerse/ attracted with another guy. I personally think it's a good example for young generation nowadays to show that Love Is Love - if you're attracted with your own gender, just go for it because Love should not be complicated
People nowadays are more open minded than people in the 90's, you might found to be surprised that the world might rejoices on your relationship rather than side eyeing just because your spouse also a man

Back to the series , it's a bad idea to compare Sky In Your Heart VS A Tale of Thousands Stars even though both of them are GMMTV product. They both irrelevant to be compared because both of them have their own charm, especially Prince who comes off as a mystery character that always hiding his identity despite being a volunteer teacher in rural community

FahPrince X MekMark is definitely a BL pairing that I wish to see more in future project if Mek decides to do another BL series in the future. PuppyFah VS SemePrince is a joy to watch in the series!

Love it, it is very understanding.

Short, sweet, cute and innocent. Really different from SIMM, but very nether less. I don't believe the two should be compared because the personality and decision of the characters are different. SIMM is a college student one and SIYH is about two adults (even tho one is still in university) who has already decided that they do what they need, respect each other's space and don't fight over things that can be resolved by understanding the other. They both react according to their past experiences, as a medical student I do understand Kaufah concern, but Prince is the most understanding lover Kaufah can find.

The thing I loved the most here is that they do know how to separate personal matters and public matters. Even tho they disagree, they do not let that effect their relationship in front of others or even when they have to work together.

This series is really good, really cute and innocent somehow. Some say the plot is not there or anything of the sort but I believe the plot is calm, and they did the best in their own mind for the other person. I believe everyone should give this a chance, if I had a relationship like this in my life, I would be really happy.

I like the chemistry between all the actors, this series has the most sweet kisses I have ever seen in a series, it is not one that will make you want to replay, but it will definitely be one you will be shy to have witnessed.

This is my first time writing a review and I believe it is worth it.

Not good enough

The story theme wasn't bad at all. It really was a very solid idea and much more interesting than what you usually see in a bl, but it suffered from rushed writing. The main characters were likable with cute/fun interactions and a fine backstory, but not developed properly. Some things were just resolved very quickly or characters were thrown into the mix out of nowhere to stir some trouble, without really having any impact other than being plot devices. That could be blamed to the number of the episodes, but I feel they still could do much better with the writing.

The main protagonists had chemistry. Both actors were pretty capable, but there's so much you can do when the scenario doesn't help.

For me, this series had the potential to be great, but didn't receive the care it deserved. It was treated more like a series to fill the gap in the program till the next big project was ready, which is a shame. Still you can watch it pleasantly if you just want to pass your time..

Mediocre at best

This one had a lovely start. After the first few episodes it lost me completely. I still kept on watching it but the fast forward button was a blessing. Very boring story, decent acting but sometimes it felt kind of cringey, the development of the characters was weak, the side characters were meehh ... The chemistry was alright I guess, but mostly its a forgetful drama. Could've been better, but it really depends on you. For something light and mediocrity I could give it a pass, but its nothing special and mind blowing.

A Good, Solid Show

This story was really good and really sweet, and honestly I did like it better than its companion show, Star in My Mind. The story was light and fun, and while I would have liked the side characters to be a bit more fleshed out, I had a great time watching.

Mek, of course, was amazing in this show. I think I love him even more than I did before, and I need to see a million more shows with him as the lead! He's handsome and charming, and he has great comedic timing for the funny bits in the show. He was wonderful at making me love and root for Fah, even when Fah wasn't always making the right choice. The other actors in the show were great, too (loved seeing Toptap and Prigkhing!!), but Mek definitely shined above the rest.

The story, overall, was really nice, too. I liked watching Fah and his friends adjust to life in the village and come to appreciate all the village had to offer. Fah and Prince's back and forth was adorable and so fun to watch, and I loved watching them fall for each other.

My main complaint with this show is something I also complained about in Star in My Mind: the plethora of love rivals. It felt like, with both shows, they didn't bother with any other means of conflict besides love rivals! Both shows had four (4) people in love/interested in the same person! And I'm sorry, Prince and Dao were not hot or interesting enough to warrant so much attention.

None of the love rivals in Sky were even really developed well, either. They each came and went quickly, lasting as an obstacle for a couple episodes before the next one took over. Personally, I think love rivals being the driving conflict between a ship is boring enough as it is, but to do it three times in an eight-episode show was too much.

My other (much more minor but still enough to knock this show a half star) complaint was the final episode. It felt very jarring and different than the rest of the series, and it just was... weird. I won't say more because of spoilers, but while the Happily Ever After was nice and satisfying, I didn't enjoy the majority of the final episode.

All in all, this is one I would recommend people give a try! You don't need to watch Star in My Mind to watch it (though the many mini-scenes with Dao and Kluen might be odd if you haven't), and I think it's a sweet story worth the watch.

"Enjoyable and cute," said the biased viewer

While I don't think Sky in Your Heart is groundbreaking, I also believe that not every show has to be groundbreaking. This short 8-episode series is competent enough in all aspects to be enjoyable for the casual viewer. I think. Honestly, I'll admit that I have a few biases. For one, I really like Mek and so I was very excited to see him as a lead in a BL. Secondly, I love A Tale of 1000 Stars and this show has similarities (however weak in comparison they may be to 1000 Stars). Lastly, I think this show is objectively better than its companion series Star in My Mind.

At the start of the series, I was actually disappointed by Mek. I thought he was a very convincing male lead in Kiss the Series but for the first few episodes, I had a hard time buying the insta-love dynamic. I felt like Mek was trying too hard in the beginning. Luckily, he pulled through in the moments that really count later on. And while the setting was similar to 1000 Stars, I just feel like this show didn't breathe as much life into the village in the same way 1000 Stars did. The supporting cast had funny lines, occasionally, but were mostly forgettable. Khuafah's relationships with his friends and the other villagers felt formulaic and flat.

I think the biggest disappointment with Sky in Your Heart is that it clearly had the potential to be something better. Mek is typically a compelling actor, but his range was severely underutilized in this series.

I don't give a fuck what you think about SIYH but overall it got a 7.9 rating from viewers so cry!

I wanted to give this series a 9.0 rating at the end but I saw many wailers lamenting over pathetic mistakes and cursing GMMTV! Well if you feel bad about it act your own! No one is stopping you! If you think it's that easy go and act or direct or produce a Bl series if not STFUC . Most of your reviews were so bad that at first I thought it was for the Bl series ' Check out' ! You are so accustomed to perfect Bl series that you forgot the main reason why films are produced! To entertain and to educate! It was never meant to be a perfect ,well orchestrated planned and eye pleasing drama. No it was meant to envoke in us different emotions. And as Vin stated this MDL is becoming more like Reddit. I will conclude my introduction by stating that those who wish for a perfect Bl series should know that there's no perfect drama nor series it depends on perspection . And dramas and films are like people's lives!, IMPERFECT!

This is a simple Bl series with hardly any serious conflicts and is the sequel to the first part Star in mind. It's about Dr Fah as he seeks to deal with his past after his girlfriend dumped him and marries his friend. He meets Prince who according to a reviewer here is an " elderly woman" in a youth body constantly nagging and harassing Fah... this is not true... Prince also has an ex who betrays him and ruins his life therefore he's not comfortable around Fah, cause he has feelings for him Prince is very noble sacrificing his time and comforts to teach the children in the rural mountain village he even wears a Sarong ( Thai dress for women ) to aid a cause he believes in ... True love.Prince however slowly begins to understand Fah and Vise versa and as episode 5 ends I can tell you that the gunshot signals the beginning of Fah and Prince's journey to rediscover themselves and to learn to trust each other! If you want to watch Sky in your heart go ahead you will certainly like it from the All high and righteous Prince to bold Yayah to the plumpy little boy We-ah to Somphor who dislikes the Picture- taking addicted Aou to faithful Mesa who stands by his confused friend Fah.

I like the story and the actors and this is far better than Star in mind

A spin off that is worse than the original

I only watched 2 episodes, maybe it got better, it obviously couldn't get worse.
The storyline was your normal Thai BL, straight guy goes up a mountain, meets a really obnoxious homosexual and turns Gay.
In the original drama the ML was straight and had a girlfriend, after being dumped and feeling devastated he decided to hit the hard stuff which got him into trouble. He then decided to try a different kind of hard stuff and that is how we got this terrible drama.
With the amount of straight men turning Gay in Thailand it is a wonder that there isn't a population decline.
Anyway, the drama was horrible, not really much more I can say about it.

It's okay, not too bad, the story is sweet.

The story is cute, not really my top BL this year but I do enjoy it. I don't want to compare but obviously "Sky in your heart" is so much better than "Star in my mind".
The cast was amazing, they tried their best and did an excellent job, Mek and Mark has chemistry, I would like to see them in another series.
The music is good, especially when they inserted an English song at the episode 7, that's one was amazing. The problem with this series is they used too much slow motion and sound effects, sometimes it makes me uncomfortable.

Falls short, but amazing cast

As always, these are just my thoughts and opinions and not intended to offend :)

Well, this was better than Star in my Mind, even if it was a little lacklustre. If I’m honest, it felt a little bit like a cheap rendition of A Tale of 1000 Stars, just with some roles swapped. That being said, it was still enjoyable enough and didn’t make me want to stop watching (unlike its predecessor).

Mek and Mark are both great actors, and I feel like they did what they could with the roles given to them. The characters could have been fleshed out a little more, but there’s nothing I truly disliked. The supporting cast was great, especially Mike and TopTap who just always bring it.

Over all, the Star and Sky series is much more forgettable than I wish it was. There was potential with having so many great actors involved, but it just fell very flat for me.
