I watched this mainly for Chen Fei Yu and Zhou Ye, as I knew the original story in Japanese was sad and not a happy ending. I like this re-scripted version, where it gives viewers at least a feel good closure after all the agony the couple gone through.The story:
Is simple and straightforward. Boy meets girl at young age, she is his 白月光in his difficult childhood (abusive alcoholic father). Then they parted as girl’s family moved away. They met again in adulthood and quickly were attracted and got together. Misunderstanding because of ML’s past (father’s debt affected his self esteem and he was negative towards FL). Then misfortune happened, FL got into accident and die on ML’s birthday. And the magical element of this show here, is that his birthday candles and wish allows ML to relive the day before her accident. Every time he tried to change her fate or rescue her, FL will still end up dying. Till a point when FL realised and she made the ultimate wish of never to meet him as adult, never cross paths and never love, so they won’t suffer. And with that last wish, they both survived but they never met again. Until in the winter’s day (another significant theme for this couple as they met on winter), ML again walked into FL’s bakery and met her. Final scene, they grew old together.
My verdict:
The pacing was good, however the sweetness for the couple here is very short, and we have to go on a journey of agony till the last 5 mins of happy ending. But to be fair, I can’t expect much as it’s a 90mins movie. The chemistry were fantastic. The acting were clear and spot on. Really love Arther Chen’s deep set voice and he is very handsome here. Adored Zhou Ye’s pure and innocent portrayal of the character is so believable. She is a very pretty actress and her cuteness is just right.
So warm and fuzzy even on cold winter to have to beautiful CP getting together in the dreamland of drama world. Re-watch value 💯!

Heartbreakingly beautiful
So this movie has been sitting in my watch list for a hot minute so I decided to finally watch it. And I am so glad that I did. This movie is absolutely amazing, it's well written and acted, the direction and cinematography is excellent, it's simply fantastic. This movie will rip your heart out but I promise you it's worth every tear. It does have a happy ending and the storyline is amazing. Highly, highly recommend. I've seen the female lead in a couple things(but I haven't finished either of them) and I had recognised her acting talent before but oh my god is she fantastic in this movie. I have not seen anything else by the male lead however I am familiar with his face. He was amazing as well. Truly, I think they both deserve awards for their acting in this movie because they are perfect. I also really like the second couple, their chemistry is great and I am hoping they got their happy ending too. This movie is a 10/10 for me and I think you should watch it as soon as possibleWas this review helpful to you?
no sad ending
beautifully the story has started ,childhood friend met when they had grown up . Recognised eachother and fall in love ,they were sharing so beautiful moments with each other then suddenly an incident occur which completely shaken the male lead . He tried his level best to make the things right but everytime he failed . Then he kept his life on stake and he succeeded but then he was no more to see the things which had been proper then she did her level best to bring him back in her life but .... i don't want to be spoiler so if you like love story and have strength to bear the sad moments then watch it .At last ,the story has happy ending but not completely.

This movie is underrated it deserves 10/10
The story is great, although it will make you cry.the ending is so satisfying.
The acting is perfect.
The actors are also great and fit the roles.
I wish I could lose my memory and watch it again.
At some point I thought the ending would be really bad, but they fixed everything in the end, I thank the writer that he did not make me cry for the coming days.

Worth Watching!
This movie is a real emotional rollercoaster! The main actors totally own their roles, giving it their all. Even though the story kinda feels like something you've seen before, these leads bring some serious freshness to the table. Their on-screen chemistry is so real; you can't help but get invested in their characters.Yeah, the plot might have a déjà vu vibe, but the way these leads handle it is on another level. It's like they take the familiar and make it totally their own. You end up feeling like you're right there with them, going through all the ups and downs.
Props to the leads for not just acting but genuinely making you feel something. The direction is spot-on, too – the pacing keeps you hooked, and you're in for a ride from the get-go. This isn't just another movie; it's like these leads invite you into their world, making you part of the story.
In a nutshell, yeah, you might think, "I've seen this kind of story," but trust me, the leads make it a whole new experience. It's like they turn the familiar into something unexpectedly awesome, leaving you thinking about it long after it's over.

Touchy love story. Perfect for Christmas/New year MOVIE TIME
I loved every bit of this movie, not only the actor Chen Fei Yu is my favourite. His couple with the lead actress deserves recognition. Both played their roles really well. After really long watched such a good chinese movie. The lovestory of Yuxian and Shuyan unfolds in a very beautiful way. I won’t give any kinda spoiler as it will disclose the story line but it revolves around Time Travel. I have seen movie called Love You Forever in 2020 which resembles it a lot and both movies are worth watching and make you emotional. Music was soothing and so does the scenes, I would rate everything 10/10. We all love time travel movies even though we know we can’t do it in real life (ONLY IF WE REAAALLYY COULD =D ). Who doesn’t want it?P.S: So if you want to watch a romantic movie, like the actors and fan of time travel. Go for it <3

As it is around 1 hour and 40 minutes or so it isn't like it has depth compared to a drama nor has full on character development, but it is still good nevertheless.
Arthur Chen looks a little different in this compared to Lighter and Princess and Ever Night - more so than Ever Night.
I liked him in L&P and grew to love his character in Ever Night and wish he had done Season 2 instead of Dylan Wang. But things were not meant to be...
Yesterday Once More has a Ground Hog day feel to it so expect it to be in line with dramas like: Reset. What I mean by that is - being caught in a time loop or point in time (past) with a chance to either change it or fix what wasn't right so that the future alternates for the better.
This movie is fine as movies go, but I prefer Athur Chen in dramas.

Emotional time travel story about selfless love
I'm a huge fan of time travel movies and when I saw it has romance with two main leads that I really like, I was instantly sold to watch it.The story is about ML who is working really hard but struggling to pay his father's debt and FL who is striving to open a bakery shop despite her parent's disapproval.
Without spoiling much I can only say that the movie is more angsty than romantic. It has a great lesson about love and a happy ending. But 90% of the vibes are gloomy and emotional so don't expect a rom-com vibe to it.
My main issue with this movie is that it felt too short for me. There was so much about the time travel aspect that we didn't learn about. We were shown a particular thing about time travel and yet it was never explained! This lack of explanation lessened the emotional impact on me as it didn't feel particularly real. It was just too convenient and odd at the same time. It just all felt very ambiguous to me.
There is a side couple story that felt a bit unnecessary. I would have liked if the focus of the story was kept on the main leads only. ML's character, backstory and motivations were explored well but I feel FL should have had more screen time to deepen her character. She has a very important role towards the end of the movie and yet I felt the set up for her character wasn't particularly good to make the scene really impactful.
Overall, if you can look past the lack of logic and explanation about time travel, it's a nice and entertaining movie about the importance of selfless love.

Such a beautiful Fantasy Rom movie
Hey reader! I just [22-Jan-2025 | 23:40 PM ] completed watching this movie and honestly it's already in my top rewatch list. This movie is based on the concept of Fantasy, time travel, Romance, etc.We are well aware that a lot of movies have been made on the same concept but believe me that this movie was such a good one.
The story revolves around a young couple, who were childhood sweethearts but got seperated later on they met again in future at their friends wedding. And the plot was fast paced, they recognised eachother and started dating, happy with each other but due to some reasons Gu Yuxuan couldn't give time to Han Shuyan and after that many events occurred. (I don't wanna spoil it).
"Gu Yuxuan" the Male lead played by "Arthur Chen" works as a toy designer, when his girlfriend died he was heartbroken, on his birthday coming to an empty house, he somehow found a way to change "ShuYan" 's fate.
"Han Shuyan" the Female lead played by "Zhou Ye", a baker, her dream is to open a bakery. She was living happily until the day on which her boyfriend proposed to her, they got into an accident and he died while protecting her. She just wants to find a way to bring her love back.
LIKED ABOUT THE MOVIE :
1. The ACTING of both leads, Arthur Chen and Zhou Ye, I love them alot and to see them together in a movie, I'm really happy. When both leads cried in their respective scenes I cried more than they cried because it felt so real.
2. Their love, relationship and CHEMISTRY everything, it was all so perfect, They played their characters so well, that while watching the whole movie I was forced to think that, they look like they are in love for real.
3. Love how she understood her MISSION, to not chase him just to end up like his previous attempts; distanced herself after everything was gone, fate played it's role and they met again, even if late.
I couldn't see any fault in it, for me it was a really good movie, and it's one of the very few movies where I didn't skip even for 10 seconds. The plot was already fast paced.
Well anyways in the end it's the viewer's choice whether to watch it or not. From me it's a green light.

-excellent. I didn't think I'd love Chen Fei Yu and Zhou Ye together as much as I did!
-side characters aren't memorable.
-styling needs to mention. Gorgeous. Both their clothes are beautiful and Zhou Ye's hair was great

Os dois protagonistas têm uma química excelente. Os atores coadjuvantes têm pouco tempo de tela, mas lidam com o tempo que têm com facilidade.
Se você precisa de algo para lembrá-lo da importância de viver bem com seu parceiro, está aí a recomendação.
(Já que na vida real não teremos como viajar no tempo).
