Strong Girl Namsoon

First scenes aren’t canon.

5 minutes into the first episode and it already doesn’t work with the lore of the original. Did the creators forget that in the prequel both Bong Soon and her Mother lost access to their powers FOR USING THEIR STRENGTH FOR PERSONAL GAIN? Their super strength was to only be used in times of crisis and to protect/help others. Using it for a fighting tournament (like Bong Soon’s Mother) would have caused Nam Soon to lose her powers at an early age. Already a big no from me. This is obviously a somewhat poor attempt from netflix to reboot a series to easily pander to a fandom so they can just coast and not have to do any real marketing or advertising. BUT i will continue to watch to see how this series progresses.

A unique and fun Drama with strong female characters

Okay not gonna lie, I am lowkey shook at all the bad reviews this drama got 🤯
I really enjoyed watching this! I thought it was funny, exciting and relatable to some point. It was refreshing seeing a drama like this where the focus is not the love relationship and the female lead is not a weak beautiful woman who always has to be saved by the male lead. In this case it was actually the opposite most of the time and I thought it was HILARIOUS how she was always carrying him. I laughed a lot and I seriously don’t get the hate.
If you came for some serious plot with characters looking and acting all mature then yes this drama is not it. But I think you can already sense the kind of humor this drama has from just the cover photo. It is made in a comic style and ofc all the characters act super exaggerated over the top. I guess because I am also kind of an exaggerated person myself, I loved watching this drama.
I loved how the connection and strength between the females in one family was portrayed.
Then the whole plot with the drug cartel going on and the evil guy WAS AMAZING too! He was the perfect villain.
All in all I can totally recommend this if you are looking for something unique.

Stop overracting.

This drama is fine and everyone needs to calm down. I think the drama deserves to be judged on its own merits rather than as an extension of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. That was that and this is this.

Despite that I do still think this drama is a bit of a mess, just not for the same reasons as most other people. The main problem is that this show has too many people in it. The audience is supposed to equally care about the ML and FL, the FL's family of 5, And the ML's coworkers and even the damn “villains” of the show. All of these people take up way too much time and steal the spotlight from the main couple.

I don't care what anyone says, I will scream my adoration for this couple from the rooftops. This is one of the best depictions of a loving, respectful and supportive relationship between two individuals who value each other deeply. They don't act that way because just because it tells them to or because the plot says its time. They do it because they get to know each other and develop genuine affection…
When the FL is having a hard time the ML helps her out because HE'S A NICE PERSON, not because he's attracted to her. She doesn't need to prove anything to him or have some special requirements for him to naturally want to care for her. The FL is a simple character who doesn't need to change much because she is already a good person as well. Her affection for the ML goes farther than his face, she loves his personality and pokes fun at it. Being good looking isn't enough to get her interested…

After all that I must say that I think Ryu Si-oh is one of the worst aspects of this drama. He is evil, regardless of his upbringing shaping him he chooses to create a drug that KILLS people.
(Honestly that doesn't even make sense, the whole point of drugs is to get people addicted so they become repeat customers, so I don't know why anyone would create a drug that kills the customer base UNLESS YOU'RE LITERALLY EVIL) Due to this I'm not hearing him or his shallow hastily put together backstory out. He would never have been interested in the FL if she weren't strong and he tried to kill the people she loved AND HER. Plus I objectively think the actor did not fit this role, he honestly was the odd one out in terms of acting ability… This was just the wrong role for this man period.


While I love the FL's mother and grandma, they and their issues/adventures get way too much focus and make the drama feel like it's dragging because you just can't bring yourself to care about what they're doing. Same goes for the FL's Father and brother… This isn't a palace drama, there is no need for more than like 6-7 MAIN characters.

This story is too messy and needs to get itself together. It wasn't the worst drama of 2023 like many are saying. Extra point for the cameo cuz they did not have to spend the money to do that, but they did.

Not as bad as many say

I know many have given very bad reviews for this drama. But after reconsidering my first impression, I would say if you fast forward certain cliche scenes where female lead ,her mother and her grandmother Flex their super powers you might very well able to enjoy this drama. This is not a sequel but a spin of mind you. I wish they um did not go to far showing superpowers off call the ladies. As it only added to cring. If they had
Toned down the showcasing of superpowers of female lead,Her mother and her grandmother. This would have been very much enjoyable as The original strong woman though bong soon. I must say few lines about Villain played by Woo Seok in this drama. I know he did very bad thing . But i kept thinking he was not like that from birth but the environment he grew up made him like that so even if he did evil things,I was feeling pity for him. I did not want so much tragic end for him. I know I should not Feel like that. But what can I do make handsome villains fate like that only in k drama. I was so impressed by the good looking villain that I i'm going to check his past and future works. So all in all just was forward The cringe scenes , and you are good to go.

It's an entertaining despite what others said

Entertaining drama. Okay nmn ang drama but of course Strong woman dobong soon is so much better. But it doesn't mean na iignore niyo ang drama nato. Kung hindi ka nmn mapili sa drama at gusto mo ng lighthearted at happy ending watch this.
- It's still enjoyable, I like this as comedic
- The lead chemistry(Namsoon and Hee Shik) is okay lang not great pero okay lang kase hindi talga focus masyado
- I like some of the cast and the acting seems good, I like the elders here in this drama
- C grandma at barista ang lalandi lagi 😁 umay haha, the parents are still care or in love despite divorce
- I love it na may guest appearance sina Kim Won Hae(yung bakla na may gusto ky min hyuk at nasa gang na laging bugbog sa hospital sa strong woman do bong soon), Park Hyung Sik
(Min Hyuk), at Park Bo Young(Do Bong Soon) :) - iba talga yung tawa ko sa strong woman do bongsoon parin.
- I like the team up of Namsoon kasama yung dalawang homeless friend nya (Hyun Soo at c No) nakakaaliw sila kaso ang konti lang
- I don't agree that Ryu Si-o should be forgiven like some said. Lol kahit na handsome sya or may soft spot kay Namsoon sa paningin ng iba masama parin ugali niya, marami pinatay, at di nagbago kaya deserve mapanagot. Kakaawa mga pinatay nya walang redemption arc is better. Mas kawawa pa c Hwa Ja/Myung Hee kesa sa kanya.

Kinda disappointed but okay

this is a good story but kind of disappointing tbh i expected a lot from it. This story picks up after the story of do bong-soon but we see more things that didnt imply there. So i was kind of confused at first scene but u gradually get the hang of it . I will not judge it too fast knowing i am only in ep 3. So i will tell all the things that i find will be helpfull for u to decide if u wanna watch it or not. First of all the scense are all same from the previous drama. The story if but some things like the characters dont match up.
So, it just went down from here. Im just excited for the plot cuz i feel like the plot will be nice.

i expected the show to a little collide with the previous show but it didnt and also the main couple is cute.i will write more abt what i think after finishing the whole thing.All this is just what i think abt this show. Hopefully the plot is really intresting i it is i will give it a musch more higher review.

Even as a standalone, without the original, it wouldn't be impressive.

Well. Not the best drama out there I'd say. At first it was quite fresh. Different. I liked the female character.
But then the show lost its essence. I don't know if it's the actor or the character of the plot itself, the delivery of dialogues become progressively more "annoying".
"Annoying" is a word I only use for Chinese female leads. So when I say that here, it's...a little disappointing. On Korean standards.

Characters: (contains minor spoilers)
The Male lead honestly did not have a personality. I mean I get the show isn't exactly male lead centred but c'mon. I believe Ong Seong Wu has great acting potential. He was able to play the puppy boy role here. Given his skills in "More Than Friends", I belive he can pull off both Cold and Warm personalities. But that oppertunity wasn't given to him.

Lee You Mi's acting is supposed to be good too. She is the same girl who played her roles in All of us are dead and Squid Game. And she did well. Ofcourse. I wouldn't know how well she is suited for romance ones because i haven't seen her do it properly before. Excluding this show. This show doens't really draw up the full potential of the actors.

Kim Jeung Un was awesome. She played Gang Namsoon's mother. She is super hot and powerful (obviously). But then there is also this cuteness about her. The way she melts when it's her daughter. It's cute. I loved her character.

Byeong Woo Speak who plays the bad guy, Si-on, is the freakin MAN. He is the hottest character on even YouTube and is currently being shipped with the Female lead and I am NOT complaining. He is good at acting. And he is hot. Yeah. He has acted in 20th century girl. The film. Check it out.

The secondary characters were pretty good too.

Plot:
The plot itself makes sense. It's not bad. It's just how the male and female characters were written. The female character lacks depth. And the only excuse for that is the fact that she is from Mongolia. If I hear that one more time I'll-

Overall : i haven't watched the last two episodes yet. They are supposed to release today and tomorrow. Based on the 14 episodes I have seen, it hasn't been able to even catch up to the original. And even as a standalone, it wouldn't have done great.

I'll come back and fill everyone in on the last two episodes.

I finished the drama. I'll say mid. It's not great. They are eyeing a third season. I hope they add some spice to the series. We will also have a mystery main character coming in next season. I hope it goes well. Seriously.

There is room for improvement, a lot of it and I really hope they work on that. I wasn't very happy with this series and kinda disappointed ? Do bong soon was great but this one was just BAD.

It's easier to see the flaw than the good side of this drama.

I understand that it's not what most viewers expected, even I was a little disappointed. But the thing is romance isn't the #1 priority of this drama and the drama itself is darker than SWDBS.
Nam Soon is an agent and it's important for her to keep her enemies closer. Hee Sik may not be portrayed well as you expected but he always got Nam Soon's back and is always there for her. Nam Soon and Hee Sik needs one another.
Shi Oh has a tragic background (which I do feel bad for), but that does not excuse his criminalistic behavior and attitude. The law will arrest all kind of criminals. Shi Oh is handsome and sexy but to me, the purpose of good-looking villains are to convey the: "Angel face but devil personality".
The season is going to pick up the pace again somehow in the next episodes, we still got more to wait, so be patient, I'll send another review once the series' status is completed
So many things I wanna say but I can't express it.

Me senti decepcionada

Amo el concepto de mujeres superfuertes y esas mamadas pero es increible el don que tienes los coreanos de pensar e iniciar una idea muy buena bien, pero luego no solo mearse sino que CAGARSE encima de ese proyecto, me parece una mamada lo que acabo de ver, me sentí insultada sobre todo con esa relación de mierda entre los protagonistas no me vengas a joder tenia mas química la pendeja de Namsoo con Ryushi que con el policia que ni me aprendi su nombre de lo zzz que es.

La música una verga loco medio pixel de empeño en la música te pido la unica meramente rescatable es esa la de ITZY de Superpowers y ni asi pq es muy fuera de lugar loco osea pega con la trama pero la ponen en momentos que queda ????

Y tambien me voy a quejar del pedazo de sorete que se le ocurrio que era buena idea PONERLE ESE LOOK DE MIERDA A NAMSOO LOCO ????? TENIAS MIERDA EN LA CABEZA??? si se veia RE LINDA con el cabello largo y sus weas en la cabeza loco una verga a la final hasta los ideales de Namsoo con eso pq ay si muy amo mongolia pero SE QUITA ESE LOOK TAN LINDO QUE TENIA PARA DEJARSE ESE HORRIBLE SOLO PQ ES MAS COREANO????? andate a cagar loco me pueden chupar bien la verga todos los que estuvieron detrás de hacer los looks de Namsoo, como que se les fue toda la creatividad en vestirla a la mamá pero no a la prota, literal senti que paso Namsoo de tener 18 años a tener 18 años de portaciones en la seguridad social que falta de respeto loco.

Bom eu gostei da introdução das três gerações de mulheres fortes, mas só n entendi direito como a Nam soon se perdeu do pai na Tailândia mais ok. Eu gostei do romance da Namorada soon e o policial, o caso em sí é interessante. Agr falando de uma pessoa que é 8 ou 80 é o vilão que é o Ryu Shioh, mds que homem, no início foi por interesse próprio que ele se aproximou da nam soon mas ele se apegou a ela ao decorrer da obra. Eu amei ele, achei que ele só precisava de alguém pra confiar, achei que ele morreu meio cedo e n teve tanta história dps disso, mas enfim, eu amei esse drama.

Nam Soon é estabanada, sincera, ingênua em alguns momentos, mas determinada até o osso.
E quando reencontra a mãe rica e surtada e a avó impagável, a coisa desanda (no melhor dos sentidos). Juntas, elas viram tipo As Panteras com testosterona invertida e muito blush.

O romance com o policial fofo é só um bônus. O foco real é o poder feminino transgeracional: três mulheres, três jeitos de amar, de lutar e de enfrentar o mundo.

Claro, o tom é caricato, o vilão é meio cartunesco, e tem uns exageros que beiram o absurdo.
Mas o dorama não se leva a sério e por isso mesmo, funciona.

Me diverti horrores com esse dorama.
