For the acting, I seriously want to give a standing ovation to the main cast (Masataka Kubota) for his excellent acting and perfectly portrayed as Kaneki Ken. Why I said that he is perfect as Kaneki because every scene that has Kaneki in it, I can feel the main character's pain, sad, happy, nervous. For those who still not read the manga yet, Kaneki Ken is such a complicated and tragic character yet he brilliantly conveys his emotion as Kaneki Ken who got confused with his own body and the struggles to keep his humanity as a half-ghoul, half human. The other casts also played their character really well.
What makes this film not perfect is the CG. The CG of Kakugan seriously looks great but the CG of Kagune, for some reason there's a time that the Kagune effects look a bit awkward but don't worry, it's not a big deal.
Overall, I enjoyed every part in this movie. Since the first movie already good, I have a high expectation for the sequel and hope they will have more budget for the next film so the CGI will look more awesome and the viewers will more enjoy watching the film.
For all fans of Tokyo Ghoul, it is official that Tokyo Ghoul is getting the third anime series in 2018 for the adaptation of TOKYO GHOUL:RE.

This is what a producer should do to create a perfect contemporary romance drama.
I think the casting was excellent, from the main lead to the supporting casts. They did perfectly well.
I've heard there are a lot of problems before they start shooting because the original directors withdraw from these projects, so the other investors and some other actors follow along. Later, a new director takes over, and a few of ZLS's friends join to continue the project. The good news is that this director did a fantastic job directing this drama.
All the ost are in my playlist and my favourite are Star Thief, Forever star and Be your light. These 3 are so good that I keep playing everyday.
Overall. I give 10/10.

Great characters = Great drama. Period.
I’ve officially found my new top favorite character, and it’s Xiao Qiao. Sunny789’s review already explained in detail why she’s the best, but I want to add a bit more about why I love her so much.Xiao Qiao is incredibly patient, even with her husband’s temper. In the early episodes, when he still didn’t trust her and would lash out in anger, she still responded with calmness and grace. That really stayed with me.
I truly felt for her, carrying the emotional burden of loving both her clan and her husband’s clan, yet being unable to express it openly out of fear of hurting his feelings. That quiet strength and selflessness really touched me.
What makes me admire her even more is how she never forgets her responsibilities to her people. She’s not just emotionally intelligent. She’s knowledgeable too. Her understanding of geography and agriculture, and how she applies it strategically in war and politics, is impressive. She's more than just kind. She's wise and capable.
Now, moving on from Xiao Qiao. I also really liked the character development of our male lead, Wei Shao. In the early episodes, there were moments where my heart hurt for Xiao Qiao because of how he treated her. But at the same time, I felt bad for him too, especially after Xiao Qiao explained that she understood why he acted that way. So while I like Wei Shao, he’s not a character I’m deeply attached to.
As for the side characters, the general and maid couple is my 2nd favorite storyline. They’re so cute together, and I genuinely adore their scenes! To me, they feel more like the true 2nd couple, more than Xiao Qiao’s sister’s love story.
I also enjoyed the romance in this drama. It’s a slow burn, but when the characters are together, there’s real chemistry and intensity. And surprisingly, I liked the political aspect too. It’s not heavy on internal palace politics. It’s more about politics between countries, and it’s actually easy to follow.
Overall, I think the drama strikes a really nice balance between romance and politics. It kept me emotionally invested the whole way through.

Dating, War, and Everything In Between
Now that I’ve finished watching, I can say this drama is definitely a good one. Not the best out there, but still solid. An easy A for me.I really loved the romance between the leads, and the comedy in the early episodes (especially when she was still a low-ranking soldier) had me cracking up 😂. But without a doubt, my absolute favorite part was the war and fighting scenes. So well done that I know I’ll be rewatching those over and over again. That’s why even though a lot of people complained about the last 3 episodes, I still enjoyed them thanks to the dating and war moments.
What I didn’t enjoy was the unnecessary conflicts that made the emperor look like he couldn’t make wise decisions. Some scenes also felt poorly directed, like the lake scene, where they came out completely dry right after diving in 😅. That’s definitely more on the director than the writer.
All in all, since I’ll be rewatching my favorite parts anyway, I’d give this drama a solid 8.7/10.

A Solid 9/10
I’ve read and watched so many stories involving transmigration, especially ones where the characters end up inside a novel they’ve read, but very few actually take the time to explore the world they’ve entered beyond just focusing on the main characters. That’s what made this drama stand out for me. The story took its time to explore the world & develop the characters, giving us a clear and complete journey from start to finish. The last 4 eps were especially well done, and I truly respect the screenwriter for crafting the plot so thoughtfully. As for the cast, Li Yi Tong did an incredible job portraying a funny, chaotic, yet deeply sympathetic character. She made her role so alive and memorable. Liu Yu Ning also really surprised me. I didn’t expect to be so moved by him. I usually avoid his dramas because they often have sad endings, but this year we finally got 2 dramas where he doesn’t die, and that gave me a chance to fully appreciate his acting. He’s incredibly charismatic and has a natural way of making viewers feel for his character. Honestly, I think this year is his best so far. He nailed both roles.
The only thing that really frustrated me was the overwhelming misunderstanding, prejudice, and discrimination thrown at the male lead. The worst part? Almost no one apologized when the truth came out. Only Nan Rui had the decency to say sorry. The character I hated most was the emperor. He caused most of the problems and made everyone think the male lead was a bad person, which really damaged him emotionally & of course me as a viewer too.
Still, despite the emotional roller coaster, I loved the comedic moments. Even Yi Meng herself said the “script” was terrible, which made it even funnier when the “real” world ended up giving us such a great storyline. That was very clever and fun to watch.
9/10 from me. This drama surprised me in all the best ways.

You can watch but don't expect to much.
Personally, I'm still enjoying some scenes in this drama despite some serious scriptwriting issues and I give this drama a big minus because of the scriptwriting.I actually have no complaints about the side stories in SWDBS because there weren't many of them and they were all really fun characters, but in this drama, there's so much focus on other stories and too many side character stories that the writer neglects our main couple story.
Grandma's story is my favorite out of all of them. She has a lot of scenes but doesn't overshadow the main characters' stories, and her love life is seriously hilarious.
As for the main couple's love story, I'm neither a villain team nor a male lead team.
The writer appears to be forced to cram their love story into this investigative comedy drama. I'm still puzzled as to why the writer gave the villain to have some feelings for the female lead. Logically, he was not supposed to feel kind toward other people and certainly wasn't supposed to have put any trust in other people, since he was raised by other villains.
Regarding our NamSoon, I genuinely enjoy her outgoing nature. She loves herself and is an optimistic girl. It is unfortunate that her mother's story overshadowed her own because the author is overly fixated on the mother.
Anyway, I'm still looking forward to their third season. Despite the fact that there appeared to be less plot in season 1 than in season 2, the first season was a lot of fun. I just hope the writer writes better characters and a better script that focuses more on her main character's story.
