AOS Most Honest Review

The storyline from AOS Season 1 and Season 2 are very good. The storytelling, Character story building, the plot twist, the effects, all aspects are perfect in this drama. the actor and actress are playing their role very good. it's match perfectly for them. especially go yoon jung are so beautifull, his act and expression are so cute. but it's kind of sad that season 2 of this shows only has 10 episodes. don't know that this shows will have a third season. this shows is worth to be the best shows of 2022.

Alchemy 2

Are YOU watching Alchemy of Souls ² ?
Did you watch Alchemy 1?
If not you're really missing out and I don't know how spoiler free I can get discussing 2 if you STILL haven't watch 1 yet but here I go 🤪😌

We are already on episode 4 of Alchemy of Souls ² and I'm already flux with so much emotions.
It's the death anniversary and Jin Mu got so much villainous plotting up his sleeve, when I'm thinking he got no stones to work with, he does a good ole fashion conjuring- he's too much but I'm here for it 😤🤣🤣

Maidservant Kim and Jin are soo adorable, their scenes are so cherished and precious.

Bu Yeon (Naksu) quick tongue is putting folks right in their places.

Meanwhile, Jang Uk placement of grief is falling heavily on Bu Yeon shoulders- how much of Uk hot and coldness can she handle. It made me so sad watching how that last scene unfolded. I'm sad for Bu Yeon.

I'm Anticipating on how all this is gonna play out in Ep 5 but im sure it'll be good, The Hong Sister really can spin a tale with their screenwriting indeed!

Ass Expected Great

Great second story. The lead female was not my favorite, but I did like her as an ordinary girl. But the best was Jung So Min in the first story. Their romance seem to have more chemistry and realism. I enjoy all the characters came back and it was easy to follow the story. My favorite is Maidservant Kim and her romance with Lord Park Jin. I thought they wear cute and it gave me a smile how much chemistry they had with each other. The ending was wonderful, special affect and excitement. The actors performance was great and I really enjoy the story. Prince Go Won was my heartthrob. I found him very handsome and so cute when he gave us that great smile.

amazing show, the cast and storyline will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. the only bad thing i have to say about this season in particular is that because it was only ten episodes certain parts of the plot felt rushed, like they had to wrap up the story and very few episodes, which made it not as enjoyable because some episodes were slower and then some episodes were really fast and like a lot of things happened. but, overall i would definitely rewatch this series again.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY

Alchemy of souls is a beautiful fantasy drama with a little sorrow that might make you cry, but its still worth it. The story continues and its amazing.
We can see the amazing love of Jang Uk and Jin BuYeon/Naksu. When they were willingly wanted to sacrifice themselves for each other. The new naksu being awaken then transformed into jin buyeon/her ancestor. I thought that it might end sadly but at the end we can see how she lets naksu come back to her body and the part is truly beautiful.

OST- loved it and the one in the end of each episode was my personal favourite.
ACTING- I can't even say anything to that I could truly feel the characters emotions thru the actors.

Disappointed and hurt

This is not the same alchemy of souls that i’ve watched !! Certainly doesn’t feel like the same drama. The whole plot is strange in an odd way. The problem is not because of a new actress as female lead but the whole drama has turned into lame marriage of convenience story . What happened to the badass shadow assassin!!

It would’ve been much better if the new character was buyeon instead of naksu. Naksu’s amnesia ruined the entire story. The whole “naksu’s soul and moduk’s body together” made no sense at all. The writers could’ve easily gotten out of this by an simple explanation. But 2 souls on one body was absurd and too hard to comprehend. They negated their own rules of alchemy of souls. The whole drama turned into a joke.

Nothing seem to change much for the crown prince and yul either. And Uk keeps getting special treatment as buyeon falls right into his lap. I am soo disappointed, i can’t watch it further and ruin the memories of season 1.

The Best Romantacy Ever Made for screen! (Arguably the best Fantasy TV show as well.)

The greatest disservice ever done to this TV show is insisting on forcing it into the traditional categories modern Korean dramas use: Yes, it is a drama; yes, it has its melodramatic moments; yes, it's set in a world reminiscent of Joseon era Korea...but it is far from a merely a Romcom or Historical Drama.

In a genre in which Worldbuilding (capital ‘W’) is a hallmark, many esteemed screen writers have fallen short of pulling off the feat of telling epic fantasy stories in an hour-long TV format unforgiving toward lengthy exposition and unnecessary dialogues. Plotlines have been left untied, characters denied development, internal logic of the narrative abandoned, all sacrifices made on the altars of pace and conciseness.

In "Alchemy of Souls”, a 30-episode, two-part, Epic Fantasy-Romance Drama, the Hong Sisters have demonstrated Romantasy works on television—gloriously.

Daeho is a fantasy Joseon-eque kingdom, where magic is a primordial, elemental force, imbuing humans channelling its various forms with power which has been the source of wonder, struggle and strife of generations. Centuries of relative stability are disrupted when the infamous sorceress-assassin, Naksu (Go Youn-jang), uses the forbidden Alchemy of Souls to magically escape death by soul-switching, only to find herself in the weak body of the commoner Mu-Deok (Jung So-min). On a quest to regain her power and complete her plans of revenge, the shifted Naksu crosses paths with Jang Uk (Lee Jae-wook), a young misfit nobleman aspiring to become a mage. The two’s unlikely alliance as master and student masquerading as master and servant becomes entangled in machinations, in the midst of which their personal goals may have unexpectedly significant ramifications and consequences, not only to themselves, but to the world itself.

A gripping story of two individuals caught up in the greater motion of history and power, enjoys a large cast of memorably characters, a well-fleshed out, and well-paced narrative, high production value, laudable performances of the entire ensemble, and the stellar work of two generational actresses (Jung So-min and Go Youn-jang), to make for a show that hits every mark in spectacle, epic scope and intrigue, hilarious situational comedy, and a deeply human emotional journey.

Added bonus—due to its length and intricacies of plot and worldbuilding—the show is markedly e-watchable, and even recommended for rewatching to fully appreciate the feat that the entire production team has achieved on this show. To all lovers of this genre, this show has the makings of a true all-time classic.

Best Drama Ever

I really love the season 1 but this season stood out to me the most knowing it only has 10 episode. It is much more deeper and whenver I watch this it always leave me longing for it should never end. I just connect with drama at much more level. comedy and everything is fun but superficial in the end and for me comedy has 0 rewatch value most of the time . But this has some deeper emotions has hits me and I can watch it multiple times. I love the naksu caharacter when I saw her for first time that was the most beautiful character i have ever seen and thier chemistry is the the BEST and their is no one who can change my mind. In season 1 actress was beautiful but their chemistry was little cringe to me she was also amazing

AOS Season 2

Wow wow. Storyline brilliant. Heartwrenching, action, romance. Season 1 was great. Season 2 has far exceeded Season 1 in all categories.

The season finale has one of the best endings ive seen in a series. Id definately like to see Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung in another romantic kdrama again. Hwang Min Hyun is another actor who stood out.

Alchemy of Souls can be considered amongst the great series such as Goblin and Tale of the Nine Tailed. I highly recommend this Series

THIS SHII SO SCRUMPTIOUS YALL

if u like hot people horror/thriller-romance ur gon love this fr. like i love when she innocently loved him and he loved he back even tho he tried to deny it. the end was good too. although a little rushed, it was a happy ending and i was satisfied. i def rewatched ep 4-5 a lot bc the romance was jus so cute omg uhm yk the drill guys like watch it!! s1 was above average, but not a 10 fof me. maybe a 8.5 or 9. s1 is much more about yk the story with naksu and janguk and horror and just setting everything up. s2 is much more mystery, old corrupt ppl w the fire bird, and naksu and janguk. the series was also casted perfectly imo.

A Good Chill Thriller Fantasy Action Comedy with Romance subplots

The production staff have done a great job, with the music, costumes and cinematography. It's top notch. I like the actors but I feel many of the characters didn't get a chance to shine. Ten Episodes is however too short for the type of ensemble cast here, and much like season 1 so much was left unexplored in favor of a more fast paced action thirller comedy; this could have made a better 50 episode show than Six Flying Dragons or Empress Ki. With the world building, character relationships and introductions and giving the various characters more time to shine, and story arcs. There was much more to this world story wise than was explored. There was room to expand the magic, of the world, the locations and factions of Daeho. The weakest narrative part of the show is the antagonists, while the strongest is the comedy. So while its my favorite show of 2022, it wasn't the best. It was fun, and left me wanting more. This story has more elements to enrich it than Arthdal Chronicles. The potential here is such that it could have been as epic as the Lord of the Rings. It is my favorite show of 2022. I recommend it to all fans of fantasy works.

Best in while

I really enjoyed this show after long time watching animes and k dramas , to say how much this show hooked me i felt sad to finish this show , I didn't want to finish this because I might feel empty after. The best show in a while , definitely worth to watch it. Graphics are really good didn't expect to be this good , story is great blend with action romance for perfect amount , humor and jokes are on point, I learned a lot about life from this serious , just watch you won't regret it , I'm emotionally over whelmed. But some how I like 2nd female lead personalities than in season 1 like the all boys want , in 2nd season main character is so cool . In the end episode lacked action and romance it went so fast it should be more things . Anyway thanks for the journey I really enjoyed this .
