This drama was really entertaining and worth the time to spend. However it was only on the first half of the episode. My enthusiasm declined really hard at episode 7 where Song Ah instead of opening the doors immediately had spent her time starring at the picture and cursing Yeom Hwa. The evil spirit went inside Gyeon-U seconds/minutes after Song Ah's stupidity of wasting time. But this is how the story goes and this is the twist. But how the story gradually unfolds next is not to my interest. I don't know but my family and even my friends doesn't like it anymore.

I prefer the mom/daughter scenes, I don’t hate the cuteness of the cheesy romance, but the stupidity in the angst
When I first watched it I thought it was gonna stay the same but they did add different variables
Tho I’m not 100% liking it but atleast they changed things

the fl talks in too much of a baby voice, the mask thing lasting for 4eps was too ridiculous it’s so shear!!, I hate when characters suddenly freeze and don't say anything because the writer can't write a solid reaaction, everything feels so dramatic but also so flat

I like the ghost personality more xD and the 2fl villainess is so cheesy, they're just keeping her around, and their big evil ghost is in love, it's so cheesy

Suuuuper nice premise, with Sh**ty pacing, and a romance with motion sickness

✨ THE GOOD (THE LITTLE MAGIC):
The concept is sweet and actually intresting , fairy meets normal dude the korean way with cute chaos ensues.
The leads kinda have chemistry that genuinely warms even when the plot is abysmal cold.
Some moments tbh hit emotionally like a truck , like they borrowed depth from another show.

🙄 THE “WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG?” PACKAGE:
Shi*ty pacing crawling in the middle, like someone forgot to press play sometimes others feels damn rushed.
Episodes drag their feet midway , and you’re sitting there like:
“Bro, the fairy’s sparkle is gone twice alraedy!, can we finish the damn spell?”

🤦 THE “PLOT GOT LOST IN THE FOREST” ENERGY:
The story keeps zig-zagging like it has commitment issues.
One minute it’s rom-com fluff, next it’s supernatural… drama…?
Nothing ever lands cleanly , like telling a joke with no Fuc**ng punchline.

💘 THE “IT WANTS TO BE WHIMSICAL BUT…” DEPARTMENT:
The 'fairy' theme is kinda cute ? Anyway sometimes it feels like a gimmick instead of a story engine.
Emotional beats are ready to punch you ,but everyone forgets to wind up.

🎯 FINAL VERDICT:
A decent little rom-com with a fairy stuff that tries hard… but often just floats in place.

✔ Watch if: You love whimsical romance with comfy vibes.
❌ Skip if: You need tight plotting, strong conflict, or characters who know where they’re going.

✨ Best paired with: A cozy blanket, low expectations, and the acceptance that not every fairy tale needs a big finale sometimes it just needs snacks.

Head over Heels: 7/22/2025 - 7/29/2025

Words can not begin to describe how amazing this kdramas is. First off the story is something new, at least to me. This in itself made it amazing because while it had cliche aspect the overall story was new. I also liked how both of our characters were damaged but also showed two completely reactions to this, one was closed off and the other was full of joy. It was also nice to see how both of these were a mask and slowly get to see the real and dark truth of them. I also loved how dedicated both characters were to each other and how willing to make sacrifices for each other they were. The amount of tears I shed of this drama could probably fill a river to be honest. I highly recommend to watch, especially because while it’s is very sad at moment it also very happy and the ending is so worth the watch. Also I almost forgot but I love how selfless the second male lead he was, this being while he had feelings for the FL he respected her feelings and was an amazing friend in every way possible.

Uninteresting and messy

With 12 episodes, Head Over Heels feels exhausting due to it's over-the-top execution and a story that feels all over the place.

While the drama started well with it's initial episodes, the story kept on getting complex and stretchy. The positive aspects were the background score and good cinematography, however was let down by messy ending.

Tropes have always been a staple in K dramas but the magic had always worked before because they knew how to make things feel fresh but now?
We're past the middle of the year and once again I regret investing time in a rince and repeat story. It's yet another K-drama slop that puts lots of familiar ingredients in, but fails to put some soul into their main characters.

Overall, Head Over Heels is an over-the-top drama with weak characters and unpolished writing. There are many better dramas in my opinion to watch instead.

My Rating : 4.5/10

It starts strong but then..

An interesting story with good enough acting. It starts strong and you get hooked easily. But then the story midway starts declining. Like the screenwriter didn't know how to proceed. Plainly speaking it gets kinda boring with a happy lukewarm ending. I enjoyed the special effects the most. I was hoping for more of an intense romance with sizzling chemistry for the couple. The show would have been way better with some changes.

The drama is nice and light, but I feel like the female lead is the one carrying the whole show with her acting. Honestly, I didn’t like the male lead — his coldness feels unnatural, and his face doesn’t have much appeal. I liked the drama because of the female lead; she’s the one making it good. I also liked the friendship between the second male lead and the main lead — it was nice too.
The story needs stronger directing, and maybe if they had chosen a different male main actor, it could’ve been much better.

It's not the typical romance cheesy high school drama, it's unique and fun

This drama was entertaining all the way through but it got really messy from episode 8 till the end. I have to say I am quite disappointed because it started so well, it had the potential to be a 10/10.
We had a good initial storyline but the last episodes are a total new drama, even though it was interesting it was messy because it should've been a 16 episode drama because 12 episodes were not enough.
I had to watch the last 4 episodes with 2x speed because I was annoyed and bored, I sad it's entertaining but when a drama gets to messy it gets boring even if there's an interesting storyline.
I was also really disappointed by the ending, that woman should've died, her suffering doesn't excuse her actions. I also think that the fml lead's mother was forgoten too fast, she didn't have the time to grieve.
But despite that I really enjoyed the chemistry between the leads, the characters were really likeable, quite fun.
Even though it's enjoyable it's not a must watch.

What?

At first it was about Sungha being a shaman, then it was never sorted out. Then it was about Sungha, her FRIEND and her first love, dealing with shamanism as children. THEN IT WAS NOT. Then it was never again. It was suddenly alright at the end. No resolution. That was the crucial part of the story. Some characters should’ve died. Others should’ve been punished. The writing did not allow any villains, However, they did allow wicked characters. Truly wicked characters. These characters were instead tolerated embraced and befriended. Violent Bullies, yeomhwa and H who tormented the main male character and wished for him to die were embraced and forgiven whilst the good characters died in anguish. The shaman part became confusing and consumed the story but did not develop Sung ha’s misery and dispair as a shaman. All very confusing. I kept tumbling. My heels were over my head and then back again, I was still very perplexed. No exploration of suicide and phycological abuse. There was a time skip?! I skipped much of the drama. If a character was a terrible person, you would look at them from a different angle and they would be a good person. It Felt as if our perception was all a misunderstanding And we were simply Doing something wrong.

Ending was bland, beginning was soo good!

I would’ve given this show 9 stars if the ending was written better. I binged the first 5-6 episodes ish & then had to force myself to get through each episode after that. The actors were great though! The initial storyline was so wonderful, but the ending just didn’t have a lot of spice & I think it could’ve been written differently with a similar outcome. I wish they would’ve wrapped up Bong-Su’s story differently. I wanted him to get to go to high school & be a kid! His character was adorable and mischievous lol

A Sweet RomCom with Demons, Murder, and Blood

The good: a sweet and brave FL, her loyal friend SML, and a handsome, tortured ML. I enjoyed all the casting. Kim Mi Kyung played the spiritual mother of the FL, and I always look forward to her appearance in dramas (I've seen her in 24 and have nearly that many more I want to see). She's especially good in roles of powerful leadership tempered with maternal instincts, and that's the exact role she played here. The cast of students added warmth and levity to balance the darker issues. With only 12 episodes, the drama maintained interest and didn't drag until the final episodes.

The bad: it seemed all the characters took turns taking stupid pills which rendered them unable to make sensible decisions. FL Seong A told her best friend to avoid her love interest, the ML, but left out the reason why: he's demon possessed. Best friend made terrible decisions without consulting Seong A, which put numerous lives at risk. Worst of all, the big villain was taken into the household and given full run of the place when everyone knew she was plotting evil. Did bad things happen as a result? Darn skippy, they did. After all that, the viewers were treated to a poorly executed time skip at the end of the drama. The last few episodes were once again written by the janitor, makeup artist, and security. That's the only viable explanation for the disjointed and illogical mess the drama became (that, or the writer contracted brain-eating amoebas).

The drama depicted Bong Su as a supreme evil spirit, but the worst I saw of him were a few anger management failures. The Big Bad kicked a tripod once, punched his rival for love in the gut a couple of times, and got into a few altercations. He was also guilty of raising his voice several times. Hardly the evil we were promised! The true villain was the shaman who orchestrated the deaths of a hundred people, terrorized the ML most of his life, and caused the death of her spiritual mother. As often is depicted in South Korean dramas, she was given cheap grace and walked away free and unrepentant. To the very end, even when the viewer was supposed to believe she'd had a change of heart, she was still trying to solve her problems with murder.

I subtracted a star for the execution of the ending, but I added one for the delightful cast.

Fun show

This was such a fun series. I did not expect it to be quite as entertaining. I mean, I really had no expectations when I started watching it but it was enjoyable over-all. The story was about a young shaman trying to protect her first love who is plagued by bad spirits. What could go wrong? Well, everything.

It is about young love so it was sweet, charming, and fun. It explored youth, growth, and the complexities of first love. That is always something I enjoy watching. The backstories of the characters were also interesting. I particularly enjoyed all the shaman scenes - those were fun to watch.

This show was not meant to be serious at all. It is just to entertain, something to pass time, for fun. The two leads are cute and have good chemistry. I even liked the love triangle. It was not problematic at all. I also love a good slow burn romance, might not appeal to all, but that's really my kind of romance.

It's a short series, so if you're looking for something not too time-consuming, not too depressing or serious, just lighthearted and funny, this might be for you!
