First Episode Got Me Hooked – A K-Drama I Didn’t See Coming!
I know it’s still too early to give a full rating, especially after just one episode, but Head Over Heels already has my attention. Lately, I’ve been watching more C-dramas because honestly, most recent K-dramas just weren’t hitting the mark for me.But this? The first episode pulled me right back in! The vibe, the acting, the pacing — everything felt fresh and gripping. Even if the story lags later, I don’t think my initial excitement will fade. This one brought back the spark I’ve been missing in K-dramas.

Should've pushed to 16 episodes
Don’t get me wrong—I really loved the storyline. The characters were so well written, and the emotional moments hit hard. But I do feel like it was missing something, probably because it was only 12 episodes. There was still so much more they could’ve shown, especially when it comes to their dreams and how far they’ve come.I just think it would’ve been so much more satisfying if we got to see Seong-ah actually graduate and take that next step toward her future. That kind of closure would’ve made her journey feel complete. And with Gyeonu, how amazing would it have been to see him finally play at the Olympics—achieving his dream—with Seong-ah there in the crowd, cheering him on? Even ending the series with him winning gold and putting the medal around Seong-ah’s neck would’ve been such a meaningful moment. It would’ve tied everything together perfectly—from him quietly leaving medals in her drawer to finally placing one on her himself. It would’ve shown just how much they’ve grown, both individually and together.

i just love this set of cast sm i have no words for them aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i miss them alreadyi loved head over heels for the cast and the unique storyline like we've had ghosts before but havent had shamand involved in that and that too in high-schoolers, idk why but high schoolers feels like such a foreign concept nowadays
anyways head over heels is about gyeonu who is apparently cursed and seonga, a shaman, who decides to give her whole life to bet on saving gyeonu's life and she was doing a freaking good job as well. the amount of times ive felt second hand embarassment because of that woman cannot be counted atp but im glad she did those. the romance was the very clieche forced proximity type i love. i just loved them sm, i loved to see them together, i loved their acting, i loved their chemistry aaaaaaa i want them together again

Great Start, Rushed Finish — Still Worth It
I finished this drama in just two days without skipping a single scene — that's how hooked I was. Up until episode 10, it had me completely absorbed. The pacing, the emotion, the chemistry between Cho Yi-hyun and Choo Young-woo — all of it was just so good. I genuinely couldn’t bring myself to hate any character, not even Yeomhwa, who initially got on my nerves but later broke my heart. And Bong-su? Don’t even get me started… 😭That said, I do think episodes 11 and 12 fell short. Episode 11, in particular, felt all over the place — rushed and slightly chaotic — and episode 12 tried to pull it together but didn’t land quite as strongly as I hoped. The show had so much potential, and I wish it had been longer. It deserved more time to breathe, especially towards the end.
Still, the drama was refreshing and unique, especially in how it handled Korean shamanism. The friendship between Gyeon U and Ji Ho was one of my favorite parts — so natural and well-written. Definitely worth watching if you're into fantasy romance with heart, humor, and a bit of spiritual flair.

This Drama Stole My Heart
Head Over Heels is a heartwarming K-drama that beautifully explores love, heartbreak, and emotional healing. The chemistry between the leads feels natural, and the storytelling keeps you emotionally invested throughout. The pacing is just right, and the OST adds depth to every scene. Highly recommended — a solid 10/10 from meWas this review helpful to you?

Head Over Heels: A Wholesome, Heart-Stealing Ride Led by Cho Hyun-woo’s Stellar Dual Role
Head Over Heels completely swept me off my feet—especially Cho Hyun-woo, who was phenomenal in his dual roles as Bong-soo and Gyeon-woo. I’ve seen him before, but this time, I fell even harder. The storyline was youthful, emotional, and full of charm. The female lead’s love felt so pure, and the friendship between the trio was beautiful to watch. The show had everything—romance, comedy, action, and heart. I'm already craving for re watch. And the characters were all good and left an impression. I love it.Was this review helpful to you?

Great drama at first glance but lacked depth
Its an overall good drama IMO but there's a lot of plot holes and not that much character development. The story is VERY repetitive and the same things/reasonings/etc kept being brought up throughout the drama.I liked the Bong-su plot line in the beginning when it was first being introduced but it dragged on a lot towards the end. Still not sure why BS is considered the main "villain" of the drama- should've twisted it to Yeomhwa instead. Balancing and switching between the two villains made it pretty confusing to follow and they didn't even properly join forces (idk how to explain this better lol).
Lowkey the time skip showing Ji Ho and Geon Woo was pretty useless. It had no depth other than the fact that it was fun to see JH and GW living together. Also, JH's character had so much potential- he was doing so much for GW even though he was the 2nd ml. They should've kept it going and diverted from the fact that he was sml at least given him a gf towards the end or something lol.
Despite everything I mentioned, I still enjoyed the drama lol. Definitely a good watch if you're looking for something to watch in your free time.
Loved CYW's acting in this. He was exceptional at showing BS and GW as two different people.

a disaster of a script + a villain who gets away with everything
finished 8/10 🌟Good! I need to organize my thoughts to write this review because I need to vent somehow.
A kdrama that had EVERYTHING to be one of my favorites of 2025, 8 well-structured chapters until the writers screwed up big time.
The story went down the drain, it didn't make sense at any point towards the final plot
A waste of chemistry where they could have addressed the topic of spirits and Gyeon U's curse in a much more complete way.
a villain that I see for the first time in my life I see that She gets away with EVERYTHING, even towards the end she just disappeared as if she wasn't the cause of all the misfortunes throughout the story 💀
I continue with the ending where everything felt lukewarm... I felt so dissatisfied, more than blaming the cut chapters
Perhaps the only thing that had a significant impact on me was the poorly written and organized script, because the actors really did their best.
It's a shame, really. 😭
