Not what you expect.
I like emotional series BUT I never feel like watching them. I only feel like watching something emotional every like 5 months. This series has been on my watchlist for what feels like a decade now. I finally got myself together and decided to watch this series. I haven't realllyyy seen a lot of JimmySea series and I do plan on watching more of them since I think they're overall really good actors. I'm gonna be very honest right here, when I started this series I had not even read the summary. I like being surprised.Let's start with the representation of disabled people. As someone that has hidden disabilities I feel like this show portrayed disabilities extremely well. The way they showed the emotional side Day had when he learned he wasn't able to see anymore to losing his sport. The way Mhok was able to lead and make everything easier for Day really made my day. It was so sweet how Mhok understood his fears, even if Mhok was able to see. It really seemed like Mhok did research which, from what I remember, wasn't really shown in the series. I just love how Mhok tries to understand Day as much as possible. Mhok seems like a person who can come up with solutions to everything. I love how he casually shows things like audio books to Day and shows Day he can enjoy books and films like a 'normal person', just in a different way.
Amazing relationship build up, and I mean it. In the beginning it kinda felt like it was slow burn, but that didn't matter. The small touches, 'dates' and hand placements all show the affection between Mhok and Day without needing reassurance of their feelings, until August came in. I get the lingering feelings Day and August still had going on but I felt soooo bad for Mhok. Mhok did everything for Day just for August to exist and be Day's interest. I really liked that they added August since it shows how Mhok actually thinks about Day and not just a random realisation.
One thing that lacked was Mhok's side especially his feelings about his sister and the jail stuff. I feel like Mhok decided to take care of Day aswell because of his sister. He must've felt extremely lonely without her. About the sister were only like 2-4 scene's and Mhok never expressed a lot about her. Aside from that, it was super clear that Mhok had been in jail but after a while it started to feel like they kept pushing it as an reminder without really showing how Mhok felt during the time he got send to jail.
The amount of comfort this series has given me is not explainable. I was sooo into it. Even though I was really locked in and very focused on this series, I will be honest, it wasn't suspecting this type go emotional. I kept thinking horrible things would happen and tried not to attach myself to either Day and Mhok, which obviously failed. I thought things like: "what if Day dies" because online I read people being emotional about this series. Yet, aside from no 'super terrible' things happening, I still cried at some scene's. The super romantic tension between Day and Mhok was genuinely so beautiful I wanted to cry.
I'm gonna be very honest right here but I never cared about Phojai and I'm sorry for it. Phojai's story was confusing to me and it felt like fillers. I feel really bad for her but I was just super confused about her through the series. Her character added unnecessary drama. Night and Phojai also barely had any interactions and their whole romance was off. I loved how caring Phojai was though, it's just sad that she always got used as, what felt like, excuses and fillers. "Guys we need some more drama can we add Phojai in it?", that's how it felt. That doesn't mean I hate her, she's a sweetheart but yeah.
This was definitely worth staying up till 5 am for. The ending wasn't the best one I have seen so far and in my opinion they didn't need this 'good ending'. They could've just let Day be blind his whole life.

Always have hope and faith
This is the best series ever. I'm emotionally attached to this that i don't want it to end. Watching this series makes me realized the independence, hope and growth. The cinematography is so beautiful. And also the Music fits in the series. The meaning itself is good. The main character: Jimmy & Sea is great actors that they portrait their role in the series perfectly. Go JimmySea goodluck on your journey Hoping for more series for you two. Thank you JimmySea, Thank you P'Aof(we won't burn your house anymore 😂😂) Thank you Last twilight for making my Fridays Happy and also for making me cried for weeksWas this review helpful to you?
this is the kind of bls that needs to be support
tbh, this bl could have been a 10LIKES:
-The story. the bl's drama, comedy, romance, etc it's really well mange into the story until some point. I never wanted to stop watching it and I felt like every character was interesting.
-Cast. THE ACTING IS GOOD!!! I'm really sorry but sometimes even if the story is good but the acting isn't, I just can't watch it and I'll not enjoy it. thank god this is NOT the case for this bl. actors and actresses were great. the acting felt so natural and smooth
-Picture. Hello??? the scenes were so beautiful, the colos, the scenarios, etc.
-Chemistry. the main couple, the second and them as friends was perfect! ngl, the main couple got me giggling and kicking my feet ☝️ they're so cute. please give jimmysea an opportunity If you haven't watched this bl.
DISLIKES.
-only one thing I didn't like and that's the time skips. I understand the plot of the drama but idk, there were lot of time skips, some things could be better without losing the rhythm of the bl. still it wasn't that bad cause I still enjoyed it and it didn't make me change my perspective of the previous episodes!
Conclusion.
definitely one of my favorites Thai bls, good story, good cast, chemistry, production, soundtrack, acting, just everything. I wish more ppl could support this bl for all the elements I just mentioned instead of just focusing on whether a bl has nc scenes or not. give it a try, you'll love it

THERE IS NO ONE-PALM DISTANCE ANYMORE AND THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST IMAGE THAT YOU'LL SEE...
Damn, Leads are the No. 1 cutest pair I have seen in BL....Jimmy & Sea both are cute and their chemistry is also so good. This is the second drama of this pair(1st Vice Versa). Almost 4 times i deleted for not watching these shows without even watching a single episode, but after watching episode 1, it just pulled me into it. This drama is good (enjoyable)... Each episode is adorable. Intro OST piano music pleasant...Coming to side characters Night (Mark) acting, expression was GOODDD, and the character written for him was also heartwarming, "Please take care of her, that's my baby." Awwww, that line was beautiful from him. It was a nice watch how Night and Phojai ended up getting married and how Night gave her and her daughter a family.
Back to our Main Characters Mhok & Day I was looking at the reviews and comments on this series where I found people talking about how Day doesn't deserve to be with Mhok and Mhok should have left Day so that Day can learn the pain and only Mhok was in love (giving) and Day was always receiving the love but was not giving back to Mhok. But it's not true from the viewpoint of Day. It's understandable him asking for a breakup because he didn't want Mhok to have regret in his later life, so breaking up gave them a space to grow up, and it was clearly mentioned in the show, so I think both of them deserve each other... as both loved each other equally, not unequally...
Overall Everything was perfect from visual effects, mainly the aquarium scene where Day looks at Mhok's face. That was beautifully shown. I loved this show mainly after very long months of boring shows found a Gem...

An emotional ambush disguised as a love story.
How do you review Last Twilight when your main memories are crying over sunsets, staring at the ceiling, and wondering why Director P'Aof enjoys seeing us suffer? This series really looked at the romance genre and said, "What if we gave them grief, fear, disability, hope, healing, and one of the most beautiful love stories in recent years?"
Day was losing his sight.
Mhok was trying to find his place in a world that had never been particularly kind to him.
Neither of them expected the other.
Both of them needed the other.
Jimmy brought so much warmth and vulnerability to Mhok that it was impossible not to root for him from the very beginning. Beneath the teasing, sarcasm, and easy smiles was someone carrying grief he rarely allowed himself to show.
And Sea as Day?
Absolutely extraordinary.
Watching Day navigate fear, frustration, anger, acceptance, and hope as his world slowly changed around him was one of the most honest and heartfelt performances in Thai BL in recent memory.
Together, Mhok and Day gave us a relationship built on trust, patience, and understanding.
Not pity.
Not saving each other.
Understanding each other.
The way Mhok learned to support Day without defining him by his disability and the way Day taught Mhok that he was worthy of love made their relationship feel incredibly special.
And can we talk about the chemistry?
Because Jimmy and Sea didn't just have chemistry.
They had comfort.
The kind of comfort that makes silence feel safe.
The kind of comfort that makes ordinary moments feel extraordinary.
Then there was Night and Porjai, who quietly added another layer of love, growth, and healing to an already beautiful story.
The families, friends, and people around them made the world feel real, messy, and lived in.
And then there are the people behind the camera.
Director Noppharnach Chaiyahwimhon once again proved why he is one of the most respected storytellers in Thai BL.
Every frame felt intentional.
Every quiet moment was allowed to breathe.
Every emotional scene trusted the audience enough to sit with the feelings instead of rushing past them.
The cinematography was breathtaking.
The use of light, shadows, colors, and changing perspectives beautifully reflected Day's journey and the world as he experienced it.
The soundtrack deserves to be charged with emotional manipulation.
Every song arrived at precisely the right moment to either heal your heart or absolutely destroy it.
Last Twilight wasn't just a romance.
It was a story about change.
About grief.
About acceptance.
About learning that even when life doesn't look the way we imagined it would, it can still be beautiful.
This wasn't simply about losing sight.
It was about learning to see.
To see yourself.
To see others.
To see the life still waiting for you.
10/10.
Would absolutely chase sunsets, eat grilled pork with them, and let Mhok and Day teach me how to find beauty in ordinary moments all over again.

Although I was a bit disappointed towards the end, this series was just too beautiful
My only tiny bit of disappointment was how the story went on episode 11. Why did they have to keep the infamous ep 11 curse. Although I understood the point of the breakup and having time apart. I never understood why the whole thing was about Mhok going to US, when he was soo clear about his insecurities about not being able to be close to his loved ones. I felt so annoyed by the fact that nobody is trying to understand a guy who practically has no one in his life just by the fact that he felt pity for Day.
I kept on asking myself , was this really necessary? Was it the only solution? Was this the best for both of them? Isn't it just human nature to feel a bit of pity for the underprivileged? If so, why isn't it normal? Why is everyone expected to be just perfect on the first place , rather then grow together? Isn't that what normal relationships are like, to accept each other's flaws? If not, what is actually the normal that Day expects?
I would have prefer to have a alternate shift in the story after episode 11. Atleast, Mhok not going to the US there could have been other alternatives as well for Mhok to find a better career. Prior to the fact that i was really not a fan of time leaps..
But all my disappointment disappeared with that one beautiful scene, where Day's mom tries to explain what a NORMAL relationships actually meant. It was just What I would have wanted to convey to Day. This scene and the writing is just a Chefs kiss...
Anyway. It was a beautiful series. So beautiful that even though with my slight disagreement in the storyline, it still was perfect... And one of the best..
This gem kind of a series only comes out once in a while. So be sure not to miss it!!!

Last Twilight is like a healing book
Since the trailer, I was looking forward to this serie and when I've started the first episode, I was kind of mindblowing.. No, each episode, I was gradually endeared by the story and its characters. It was like a journey filled with hope, acceptance, and healing. they made me go through some feels (mainly smiling and shed some tears haha), it was a rollercoster. They also captured some beautiful moments, nice and interesting details.
It has some flaws but at the same time, I'm too soft that I found it perfect. I loved everything about it, great production, directing and acting. Jimmy Jitaraphol and Sea Tawinan , the main leads improved in this and they deserve some recognition. The original soundtracks are also so good and so emotional.
Although, I was ok for another ending and I wanted some other extra scenes to be impactful and heartwarming but still, it was a good closure. So either way, I think I'm still happy.
And finally, Last Twilight is not my last memory but rather, one of my best memories forever. It's a slice of life serie that I would like to comeback to watch some good memories.

The little prince: Chapter 21
An unforgettable and unmissable series. Jimmy and Sea's performance left an indelible impact. This series makes you hope, believe, rejoice and cry... cry a lot. A story of lives that don't give up, that try to move forward, to fight, to grow, to love and be loved and that are looking for a second chance. This story makes us understand that the most essential things are not seen... they are tried, experimented and sometimes unfortunately you have to give up. I would have hoped for a different ending, but despite everything this series is perfect. Was this review helpful to you?
BEST THAI BL SERIES IN 2023-2024!
This series really left a thug in my heart. The story is so beautiful and pure. This series for the first time make me wonder that if the same thing happens to me will I act like what Day did, can i find someone that understand my situation without pity like Mhok did. P'Aof really did a great job directing this Amazing Series another masterpiece of his to be proud of. The cast is chief's kiss everyone did soooo well Night & Porjai are like my bias wreckers they're so cute together. And to my beloved Jimmy and Sea. You did an amazing amazing acting in Last Twilight you deserve all the recognition, support and love that you are receiving right now. I loved you as partners in your Vice Versa series but I love you more in Last Twilight you two improved so much in just span of time of course with the help of P'Aof guiding you two thru this Journey. as you heard, ending sucked
it was going good. jimmysea stars in dramas that have incredible cinematography. I find myself stopping to admire some shots every time I watch an episode, it's truly beautiful. as for the story, it had so much potential to be amazing. it really was on the track, until the last few episodes.the whole point of the show was to deliver that being blind does not equal to you being abnormal. the main message was, having a vision or not does not affect your ability to have a decent life. but the ending implied that "day's life was back to normal" when he gains his vision back. and can we just talk about the whole random break up? I can totally understand why day was upset, but breaking up with mhok was totally insane. and here comes the damn time skip.
i am disappointed that my girl, gee was forgotten by the end of it. :(
the music was so good, my heart ached for mhokday, i love them, the scenes are memorable, but the ending was just so ass. im disappointed that this series concluded the best ending to give day was him getting his vision back. so to have a good ending is to undo your blindness, that's how you can truly be happy. got it!

IT WAS GOOD FROM START TO FINISH.
Unlike most reviews here, I would say that the second last and last episodes aren't at all traumatic/bad as people are making it out to be. Yes, the second last episode has a bit of angst but which drama doesn't have a bit of angst/plot twist in the second-last episode? It's just like any other dramas with a good/happy ending. Is the drama emotional? Well... Somewhat but not too much.. atleast not for me. Spoiler ahead-In the second last episode, Day breaks up with Mhok but that was totally justified imo. It was sad but understandable. Day didn't want Mohk to pity him and compromise with his career for his sake. Even though it seems a bit cruel of Day, he did take the right decision. As we can see in the final episode, when the meet and discuss the break up after 3 years, they both realise that it was the best for them. There was no hard feelings involved. By the end, they end up together and Day also gets back his eye-sight and it's a happily ever after. Idk what more people want. It's already good enough as it is!
