This series is still ongoing, yet I can already say how much I genuinely love it. From the actors to the production and the storytelling, everything feels thoughtfully done, truly a chef’s kiss. There is something about Love Upon a Time that does not demand your attention right away, but slowly draws you in until you find yourself fully invested. It became something I look forward to without even realizing it, something that feels both comforting and emotionally stirring at the same time.

I might sound a little biased, but I have always loved series that allow me to see culture and beautiful sceneries, and this one delivers that so well. The way it presents Thailand adds a certain depth and charm to the story, making it feel more immersive rather than just something you watch casually. It creates an atmosphere that stays with you, making each episode feel more meaningful.

What truly surprised me the most is how much I have come to love the cast, especially Net and JJ. I did not expect to get this attached, but their performances feel sincere and natural. Net carries a quiet intensity that makes every glance feel important, while JJ brings a softness that balances everything so beautifully. Their chemistry feels effortless and genuine, not forced, but something that grows on you the more you watch. There are moments where they do not even need dialogue because their expressions already say everything, and those are often the scenes that leave the strongest impact.

The story unfolds in a gentle yet captivating way. It does not rush, and that is what makes it stand out. Instead, it allows you to sit with the characters, to understand them, and to slowly connect with their journey. It is more than just romance. It touches on timing, longing, and the quiet complexities of love, which makes it feel deeper and more reflective. I often find myself thinking about the story even after the episode has ended.

The music blends so seamlessly with the series that it almost feels like part of the storytelling itself. It enhances emotions without overpowering them, making certain scenes hit even harder. There are moments where the music alone can bring back the feeling of a scene, and that kind of impact is something not every series can achieve.

This is also the kind of series that holds strong rewatch value. It is filled with small details, subtle expressions, and quiet moments that you begin to appreciate even more the second time around. Watching it again feels like revisiting something familiar yet still meaningful, like holding on to a feeling you are not quite ready to let go of.

Overall, Love Upon a Time feels like a quiet gem that truly deserves more attention. Net and JJ definitely deserve this series, and it is clear how much heart was put into bringing it to life. I really hope more people give this a chance because it is honestly worth it. We all have different preferences, and that is completely okay, but sometimes trying something new leads to unexpected favorites. Who knows, you might end up loving this series just as much as I do. ִֶ ִֶָ🪽་༘࿐

A Time Travel BL That Hooks You Instantly

Wow, what a premiere. MandeeWork have done it again. From the very first episode, Love Upon a Time pulls you in with its unique concept and doesn’t let go.

Net and JJ are back, and their presence alone already guarantees something special, but this time it feels even bigger. A historical Thai BL set in the Ayutthaya period with a time travel twist is such a refreshing change, and the execution so far is seriously impressive. The production, cinematography, and attention to historical detail make everything feel rich and immersive without losing that signature BL charm.

The first episode strikes the perfect balance between humor and intrigue. It’s genuinely funny in moments, yet there’s an underlying mystery that keeps you curious. Watching Klao struggle to adapt to a world without modern technology is both entertaining and surprisingly relatable. You can already tell the chaos is coming, and it’s going to be so fun to watch unfold.

The chemistry is another highlight. Net as Phop brings a quiet intensity, while JJ’s portrayal adds a layer of charm and confusion that works perfectly for the story. Their dynamic already feels engaging, and the slow build of their relationship is something to really look forward to.

Every cast member fits their role well, and no one feels out of place. It’s rare to see such a strong ensemble right from episode one.

If this premiere is anything to go by, Love Upon a Time is shaping up to be one of those hidden gems that deserves way more attention. The concept is fresh, the execution is solid, and the potential is huge.

This is the kind of series that reminds you why you love Thai BL in the first place.

Love That Lingers Beyond Time: NetJJ’s Chemistry in Love Upon a Time Is Simply Unforgettable

The moment Love Upon a Time was announced with Net and JJ, expectations were already sky-high—and honestly, it did not disappoint.

What makes this series stand out immediately is the acting. Net delivers a performance that feels grounded yet emotionally intense. There’s a certain quiet depth in the way he portrays longing and restraint, making even the smallest gestures feel meaningful. JJ, on the other hand, balances him perfectly with a more expressive and layered approach. His ability to shift from light, almost playful moments to deeply vulnerable scenes is what truly elevates their dynamic. Together, their chemistry feels natural, not forced—it flows in a way that makes you believe in every moment they share.

For a series that has built so much anticipation even before it began, they truly prove something—and it shows. All that experience, all the expectations surrounding them, translated into performances that feel refined and sincere. Honestly, they’ve gained a new fan in me, and I’ll definitely continue supporting these actors in their upcoming series in the future.

The story itself leans into a mix of romance, fate, and emotional growth. It’s not just about love in the present, but love that transcends time, choices, and consequences. While the pacing may feel slow in certain parts, it actually works in favor of the narrative, allowing viewers to sit with the characters and understand their motivations. The emotional payoff hits harder because of this build-up. It’s the kind of story that lingers even after an episode ends.

The cast deserves just as much praise. Supporting characters are not just fillers—they each bring something essential to the story. Whether it’s adding tension, warmth, or even moments of comic relief, the ensemble feels cohesive. No one feels out of place, which makes the world of the series more immersive.

As for rewatch value, this is where Love Upon a Time really shines. It’s the kind of series you’d want to revisit—not just for the romance, but for the subtle details you might have missed the first time. The emotional scenes hit differently when you already know what’s coming, and certain lines carry more weight on a second watch. It’s comforting and painful in the best way possible.

Overall, Love Upon a Time isn’t just another BL series—it’s an experience. With strong performances, a heartfelt story, and undeniable chemistry, Net and JJ have truly created something memorable. Definitely a series that earns its place on repeat.

P.S. If you find this review a little biased—well, it probably is in certain parts. I just fell in love with them the moment I saw clips of them together on my TikTok feed… haha.

Exceeded All Expectations: A Truly Worthwhile Watch

Honestly, I didn't have high expectations for this drama at first, but after watching up to this week's episodes, it is absolutely worth it! The acting feels so realistic. Even though JJ still needs a bit of improvisation, everyone is already doing such a fantastic job. I absolutely love how Net and JJ interact; it’s so natural and not cringe from the start. I really love it. Their chemistry is just as natural as Khem and Pheem/Pharan in Khemjira.

Important noted for this drama

Please watch at least 2–3 episodes before judging this drama. Don't pay attention to the hate comments, as some of them come from people who dislike the actor and don't want the drama to succeed.

You might think it's a little silly at first, but trust me, it's incredibly good and addictive. I've watched each episode more than five times already because I can't get enough of it! 😊

I honestly didn’t expect JJ to match the level of performance that James brought to the character, but he completely proved me wrong. From the very beginning, JJ delivered a natural and convincing portrayal that made it easy to get immersed in the story. He didn’t just act out the role—he truly understood it. Every expression and emotion felt genuine, showing how much effort he put into bringing the character to life. Instead of trying to imitate anyone, JJ made the role his own, and that really stood out.
As the story progressed, his performance became even stronger and more impactful. He added depth to Klao/Nakhun, making the character feel real and relatable. His emotional scenes were especially impressive...they felt raw, sincere, and deeply moving. You could clearly see the growth in his acting, and it made every moment more engaging to watch. His screen presence and chemistry also played a big role in making the story more enjoyable and memorable.
What I appreciated the most was how JJ connected with the audience. He made it easy to feel every emotion his character went through, whether it was happiness, pain, or love. By the end, I wasn’t comparing him to anyone anymore... I was simply enjoying his performance for what it was. JJ truly proved that he was the perfect choice for the role of Klao/Nakhun, and his performance left a strong impression on me. Overall, I really loved watching him and felt that he did complete justice to the character .... Lots of love to Netjj ❤️🫶

Girlll idgaf about what others says this ate! i always knew Net (aka the actor of Phop) since ever but never really paid attention to him nor gain interest even though i’ve checked his popular series. Skipped a lot through out that series and don’t even remember a single thing, but Love Upon A Time did a great job because i’m a HUGE fan of NetJJ now. I absolutely love how they made the series less boring and the budget!? Oh perfect. It’s all so good and funny!

Love upon a time is a masterpiece, i definitely recommend. Acting is on point ,the plot is good and the nc scenes are perfect, gay intimacy is displayed too definitely a 10/10 bl. Jj portraying the character nakhun and klao is the best casting i have ever seen cause jj mannerism in real life is similar to both character, and net portraying phop is perfect, it felt like i was seeing netjj not phopnakhun, tgeir acting felt too natural

After watching the first 4 episodes of Love Upon a Time, I can honestly say this drama is so, so good. The storytelling keeps getting better, and the emotions feel even deeper with each episode.

Net’s character really stands out to me. You can clearly see how lost he is, and the way he craves love feels so real and painful at the same time. It makes you understand him more, even when he’s struggling.

Latte and Kim… this part really hurts. Latte knows that Kim loves him, yet he keeps playing with Kim’s feelings. It’s frustrating but also so emotional to watch. You can feel Kim’s heartbreak more and more, and it honestly made me so sad.

Also, this is my first time watching JJ, and I’m really impressed. He’s cute, funny, and natural—but at the same time, he delivers the emotional scenes so well.

Overall, I’m really enjoying Love Upon a Time so far. The chemistry, the emotions, and the storyline are all so captivating. If you haven’t started it yet, you should definitely give it a try!

“Lowkey Watched It… Highkey Not Over It ”

Drama Review – Love Upon A Time

Okay… say less, this drama is actually such a good watch 😭✨

Here’s what stood out to me:

1. Cinematography 🎥✨
The lighting and warm tones were so pretty. Like… it just had this soft, dreamy ancient vibe that I couldn’t get enough of 😌 I was lowkey staring at the screen sometimes.

2. Plot 👀
It’s mysterious in a nice way. Not too heavy, but enough to keep you curious. I kept going “okay wait… what’s going on?” in a good way 😭

3. Visuals 😍
Everyone looked SO good. Like… respectfully, I was staring 👀✨ The styling really did its job.

4. Main Leads 💫
Yeah… I’m not okay 🧍‍♀️ Their chemistry was just so nice. It felt natural but also had that little spark that makes you smile for no reason 😭💗.

5. Second Couple 😶
I wanted to feel it more, I really did 😭 but something felt a bit off. Maybe I was just too invested in the main couple at that point.

6. Traditional Elements 🌿✨
The way they carried the traditional aspect of the series is honestly a must-watch. The Thai cultural beauty was shining throughout the drama, and it gave everything such a warm, comforting feel 😌

Final thought:
It’s such an easy, enjoyable watch… and yeah, I might have gotten a little attached 😭✨
