Worth the wait
LUAT team encountered a lot of hardship while filming this, and it took them years to officially release it, and all I could say is it's worth the wait.Word building is really good. You can clearly see the crew did their very best to transmigrate the viewers along with Nakhun to 400 yrs ago. Even the extras' acting feels natural. The wardrobe ate as well. They also ensure viewers will see how people lived back then, from how they bathed and brushed their teeth.
Perfect casting. Nakhun had a lot of similarities to JJ. Even their birthmarks are similar lol, crazy coincidence. It seems like he's destined to play Nakhun. This might be the reason why he acts Nakhun really well. I don't really see any actor playing Nakhun without being cringey to watch. With JJ, it just feels natural. He doesn't even need to try. Net and LatteKim as well, they really own the character and played it really well.
The pacing is really good. I'm actually surprised how smooth the pacing is because in the novel it's actually a slow burn. Also, I love the comedy parts; it's like giving you a candy before hammering you with angst lol.
Overall, it's a good series. Great, even. DMD is really on top of their game these past few months. From Khemjira, TNP, Duang With You, and now LUAT? BANGER after BANGER. 🙌
I hope they keep releasing BL series likes this. And I hope y'all give LUAT a chance. ♡

Must Watch!
I’ve never watched a Thai BL series before, and this is my first one. I just saw the preview, and I immediately loved it. I’m really impressed with Net and JJ’s chemistry, along with Latte and Kim, of course. This series is so fun to watch, and I can’t help but fall in love with the cast. I wish it were always Friday so I could watch a new episode. I’ll definitely miss this when it ends.Was this review helpful to you?
The same sex series
So interesting and heartbreaking at the time...I imagine the same sex relationship during the olden days when it has not been normalise ... Then the cast was PERFECT and the acting? TOP-NOTCH .. the the cinematography was excellent and the emotions were portrayed very well and performed when needed .. nothing was too much and nothing was lessWas this review helpful to you?
Disappointing at best
As far as the leads go, Net carried this show. JJ needs to go back to acting school and learn to control his annoying facial expressions. I liked the second couple, the opium story line and a lot of the side characters, but JJ was totally miscast.This series is definitely not a masterpiece or deserving of a 10. It was disappointing at best.

Time travel
Love upon a Time (awi6e) is an absolute visual and emotional delight that solidifies the incredibly high bar that period dramas are setting for the genre. The series immerses us in a beautiful story about two souls trapped out of their own time, whose eternal love feels so real it transcends the screen.Visually, it's a masterpiece thanks to Den Panuwat's direction. The cinematography is gorgeous, every backdrop looks like a painting, and the costume design is meticulously detailed. But beyond its technical beauty, I found the way it addresses its context to be very brave. While I don't know if homosexuality was well-received in Thailand 400 years ago, l deeply appreciate that the series shines a light on homophobia and the suffering of those who aren't accepted.
It's a necessary reminder that we should all be free to love whoever we want.
To my surprise, the show completely hooked me from the very first episode; there wasn't a single boring moment. It has a bit of everything: romance, tension, and mystery. It's so well-written that it leaves no loose ends, featuring a perfect pace where every scene feels intentional and drives the story forward. The balance between humor and drama is impressive, with absolutely no unnecessary filler.
The heart of it all is, without a doubt, its cast:
Nett (Phop) is an incredibly talented actor. He fascinates me in every role he plays, and he is spectacular here; he has a brutal ability to convey a whole world of emotions with just a single glance.JJ (Klao) makes the perfect partner for him and is utterly charming. Although his performance might seem a tad forced at first, he completely wins your heart in the end. His natural charm is captivating and his sense of humor is impeccable.
As someone transported to a completely different era, his reactions of confusion and curiosity are both hilarious and endearing.
Latte (Jom) and Kim (Kaew) are the ideal complement. Kim is gorgeous and completely captivated me. Together, they make the perfect second couple, bringing a wonderful and highly enjoyable dynamic to the story.
This is definitely a series I will rewatch. If you haven't seen it yet, it is 100% worth checking out.

that's the best series i've ever watched. everything was PERFECT, the story, the acting, the characters, the directing, the music, like everything was absolutely fabulous omg, how to watch it for the first time again...i'll never get over this masterpiece, i miss them so much 🥹

I LOVE Time Travel love story and reincarnation. Nakun is a great character, he is so lovable and funny. I really love him.
What I love the most is Kaew and Nakun's relationship. They do really care for each other. And tbh, Kaew is my favorite character.
How they treat homophobia was intresting. I almost cry for Roong and Boribanpracha.
I understand Pim, and sorry but she did not deserve what happen to her. She only tried to haave a good life.
Net and JJ got some fucking strong chemistry. LatteKim too tbh. + I was shy when I was watching their and LatteKim's love scene.
My favorite moment was when Nakun comeback in his own time line and learn what everyone became in this life time. And obviously his yearning for Phop.

Too good. Just too good
This series exceeded by expectations. I loved every bit of the story.Each and every actor played their roles so well. Hats off to Net and JJ. Their chemistry was over the top. They were so sweet, i could get diabetes
I couldn't believe how funny the series was, and i loved the character development of Nakhun. He became so wise.
It was my first time watching Latte and Kim, and Kim looked so beautiful and gorgeous.
The whole plot had me from starting till end. The last episode was so satisfying to watch, and also had so much emotions for me.
Overall, this series deserves the best, you must definitely watch it

A must watch
It was my first historical bl and I was plesently surprised! It fitted so good with my character!!Having wached "The next prince" and being disappointed by how little screentime NetJJ had, i was looking for a different series with them. After watching this one, i can successfully tell you that now NetJJ are on the top of my list.
It is definitely one my favorite series, the casting couldn't have been better and honestly the only thing I have to complain about are the few potholes. Though they weren't that important, so maby I am just picky...

A timeless, breathtaking masterpiece that captures your heart from the first episode.
Domundi TV and Mandee Work have truly outdone themselves with this series. From the storytelling to the execution, everything about this show is flawless. I have to give flowers for the director, P Den for guiding this masterpiece and also for the author who wrote this beautiful story, littlebbear96. The plot is beautifully written, balancing emotional depth with an incredible romance that keeps you hooked through every episode.The entire cast delivers phenomenal performances. The chemistry between the leads feels incredibly genuine and carries the emotional weight of the story perfectly. I also love the fact that not only does this series captures my heart for the romance aspect but also for the mystery aspect. And coupled with a stunning soundtrack that elevates every scene and production values that make it highly rewatchable, this series sets a new standard for the genre. It is an absolute must-watch.

WORTH IT!!
I watched this while it was still airing and finished it just now after a break and I LOVE IT!! Honetly I don´t know how i was able to take a break in the first place, that´s how captivating this is. The story is absolutely amazing, a time-travel drama done right. Casting was spot on and introduced me to many new faces I hope to see again. This was an epic mix of romance, comedy and mystery/detective. If you are considering, you should definitely tune in, I´m positive you won´t regret it. I will definitely be rewatching, though next time I´ll probably binge it in one day lollz :ppppWas this review helpful to you?

Perfect till the end
I watched the first episode and I didn't like it. I kept watching because it was really well made budget and production wise and Domundi has never let me down and I'm glad I trusted them because "Love Upon a Time" might be one of the best BLs of 2026. I ended up loving the character of Nakhun/Klao as well as JJ himself even though I was annoyed with him at the beginning. I fully got onboard the LatteKim ship. Their story was very well written, just like the rest of the show. Amazing acting, especially from Net. The chemistry was CRAZY. A lot of Thai dramas tend to rush the ending but "LUAT's" best episode was the last one. It was such a satisfying ending to wrap up the story. So amazing. 10/10.Also side note, absolutely fell in love with Kim. He's so beautiful (and talented obvi). Definitely added to the experience of watching this series lol.
