Kink and Trauma Healing (Episode 8)
I love the show so far for many reasons and I think the ensemble cast has not disappointed for a single moment. With that said, this review is specific to episode 8 because I just had to talk about Ramil/Pay’s relationship and JimmyOhm. I don’t know who on the writer’s team is part of the B D S M community but I found their portrayal of the dynamic between the two so beautiful, non-stigmatizing, and fairly realistic from the little I know personally. At first, I was concerned that Ramil was taking out the powerlessness he felt because of his father onto Pay and utilizing his power over him in a harmful way. The incident and subsequent play scene in episode 8 made me realize that they are both using their don / sub dynamic to subvert the degradation and abuse they suffer at the hands of the the king, regaining their power by taking pleasure from similar acts in a consensual, trusting relationship that they both benefit from equally. At the point where Ramil puts the whip and the collar down, it’s as if he is acknowledging that the trust/love they have is enough to heal the trauma they share. While they brought both pleasure for a time, he no longer needs them and is open to explaining his vulnerability and nurturing instincts toward the man he loves. I thought this portrayal was a great departure from the often stigmatizing and reductive view we often get of kink on screen and showed the reality for many people which is that kink scenes can be healing for all involved. As for JimmyOhm, they are quickly becoming one of my fav BL couples and I love to see them confidently exploring in this show with the foundation of trust they’ve clearly built with each other off screen.Was this review helpful to you?

I know it’s a little early for giving my review but i need that. After the episode 7 I say thank you.First : the acting is really good, I can feel emotions. After episode 7 I can believe I managed to watch a NC scene without scream because it was cringe. the scene was really good, not vulgar. I was like “ hey that’s crazy”. I can see the emotions of Zee ( Channan ), When Khanin asked for this I can see into his eyes, desire, love and the inner battle he was against Himself. The way Channan asked Khanin for his permission, ahhhhh !
second : The music ? the music is really great, this is a good choice, I can feel more emotion. I watch many BL since January and The next prince has many good OST. Yes !
Third : I wanna see more other couple because they are interesting, I talk more about Prince Ramil and Pratai. But now it’s ok.
Fourth : This series is better than Golden Blood. I’m sorry but I need to say that. Many fans were waiting for these series, but the next prince is really better. Sometimes, simple series are good…

This is the most high-effort series i watched in a WHILE ( and trust me ive watched a lot)
Every single detail has been expressed so beautifully and carefully that even i as a bingewatcher cannot skip a single frame i would feel guilty for it . ZEENUNEW ATE AS ALWAYS and everyone else especially jimmyohm doing a great job with body language and micro-expressions aswell . I wish this series can break lots of records and get a higher rating so that their effort will be rewarded and haters hating on them for no reason without the whole series even being out yet can stop yapping .Was this review helpful to you?
Witty Khanin and Stealth-mode Charan Cruising through Power Dynamics
The Next Prince has not ceased to startle me with meaningful details, shake me with striking quality of production, and shock me with twists and turns.The seasoned casts' portrayal intriques me whether the 4 clans aim towards the public's benefit(s) or personal gain(s). Whilst following the dynamics among family members, I am thriled to witness the royal competition for the throne heating up all woven connections. On the other hand, it is enjoyable to witness the couples steer their romances into varied directions; one shaken evidently, another unpredictable, and the other two budding quietly.
The series entertains my eyes with its magnificent presentation of astonishing cinematimography, gorgeous locations, meticulous costumes, regal moods and tones any my ears with beautiful original soundtracks and crafted scores throughout.
I have rewatched the aired episodes and appreciated the new interpretations every time I have uncovered new angles.

Dropped the Series
Just cant stand the overly clingy Khanin bordering on harassment of Charan.The first 2 episodes showed promise and would make you want to watch the next episode.
Sadly from episode 3 , it just went downhill that I just had to stop at episode 8
To be honest, aside from the production, Chakri is the only saving grace of the series.

Good plot + good acting + good budget = TNP
Im not saying throwing money into a series makes it good. In this series you can feel that it was put to good use. From the backgrounds of each Palace, the costumes to that mountain scene is chefs kiss. It makes it feel like ive actually walked into a fantasy world. Plot build up is coming along at a nice pace too. I went back to rewatch each episode and disboceed more nuances and easter eggs I didnt know i missed on the first watch.Was this review helpful to you?
Majestic in every way
Next Prince is a series I fell in love with from the start. I read the book and it was spectacular.There were some changes in the series, but that didn't matter because they knew how to adapt it.
I loved that they gave more prominence to the two secondary couples and a happy ending, something that doesn't even happen in the book. Ramil Petai still hasn't defined their relationship, and Calvin Jay's hasn't even begun.
Zeenunew impressed me greatly. They've improved their performances a lot. Their chemistry is impressive. In the NC scenes, I practically felt like they were expiating them, haha. And that's something that has never happened with the series I've seen.
It's a series I'm sure will win many awards, and although it has its detractors, it won over viewers in its 14 episodes.
I wasn't a fan, but starting today, I have a new ship to follow.
10/10 I love next prince.

Don't Listen to haters
Watch and decide for yourself if it's good.I'm not sure why most people are hating i personally enjoyed it .It was giving princess diaries ×hallmark Christmas movie × princess charm school.I really liked hiw peaceful it was no miscommunication, no unnecessary misunderstanding, I appreciate how mature our main leads were ... especially in ep12 i think i wouldn't have been so understanding of Charan. Anyway I'm not sure why people didn't like it . I personally wish there was more ....i think some plot points could have been further explored all in all I'm giving it an 8/10 .

I really like this series ,especially the main lead couple...the brown hair of the main lead add extra interest to me …the story and the main couple had got prefect screen time in my opinion … I really enjoy by watching this series...
