Im rewatching it.
Its a little bit fluffy in places but in a good way. ZeeNu always bring charm. I dont want to spoil it so I will just say if you want a BL fairytale it is wirth watching. There is not a BL out there like this one so that was a bice change. I like the Disney feel it has too. There is nc but its tasteful and suites the plot. And the visuals are really well done. Was this review helpful to you?
A Royal Love Story That Stole My Heart
I just finished The Next Prince tonight, and wow this BL series truly deserves the title of one of the best BL of the year. The story is simple but magical, the chemistry is natural, and every episode pulled me deeper into their world. What I loved most is how heartfelt the pacing feels. Nothing is rushed, nothing is forced just pure connection that grows beautifully. The leads carried every scene with emotion that made me smile, ache, and fall in love with them.
It’s the kind of series that stays with you even after the final episode. Warm, romantic, and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a BL that delivers both charm and heart, The Next Prince is definitely a must-watch.

Good chemistry but bad screen writing
Acting is good( zee and nunew chemistry ) and casting is also good but it lost on the story. Aof should focus on script more. They spent money on good actors, costumes, music, places and more but because of the story goes on it become mid teer drama. They cut lot of novel important scenes and no second and third couple backstory and importantly charan back storyWas this review helpful to you?
What a waste of time
The story had so much potential, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations the actors and their agency made me have. The plot was foreseeable and the characters themselves didn't have much of a character development, it felt very much stuck and going around in circles.
Personally I was looking forward to seeing JimmyOhm and NetJJ's stories the most as their stories seemed the most interesting (imo) when the trailer came out, but alas their screen time was so short that it felt that they were being more of a guest role rather than a support role which i found a bummer thus making it feel rushed by the end. During their screen time, the 4 actors did an amazing job and were really captivating, that's why i was even more sad and disappointed when they didn't get the time they deserved to showcase their talent even more.
I dropped it early on, but continued "watching" some parts occasionally simply because i wanted to know if at some point there would still be some development or breaking point for the characters, but no.
For the budget and the whole promo domundi was doing for this series, it was quite a let down.

Absolute masterpiece.
From storyline to cinematography, everything is absolutely glorious and breathtaking. From actors to performance, the insane performance has already drawn in my non-bl watcher friend, she's now the one who keeps asking when the next episode will be released. I highly recommend this for ever bl and non-bl lover, try it and you won't regret. Was this review helpful to you?
Best bl of all times
From production, character, acting, art, music, location to every damn detail of the series is screaming splendor, extravagance, quality. They have raised the standards sooooo high, I'll never look at bl the same way. Show me a better production and call you a liar. I don't regret waiting for the series for 2 years. We called and ZeeNunew answered. Was this review helpful to you?
P.S. My favorite scenes are the action scenes from Zee in the intro and the fencing and emotional scenes of Nunew.

Slow burn royal romance
My expectations for the next prince were extremely high after waiting for years. My expectations have been blown out of the water and I am loving every minute! Many people have compared this too the princess diaries, and I agree, just add a touch of the first daughter (daughter of president and bodyguard romance), oh and make it gay :)
I’m three episodes in and at the end of each episode I immediately want more and can’t wait for the story to continue.
I am a big zeenunew fan but felt there were many areas that could be improved from previous their works. All of the areas I was worried about have been addressed and I feel immersed fully in the world of Emmaly and the next prince. Storytelling and pacing are excellent.
The romance is a slow burn - which is great to build the anticipation and develop the relationship between Khanin and Charan naturally. Sometimes I am still like ‘just kiss now!!’ I love all the supporting characters and think casting has been perfect.
I am looking forward to finding more about the world and the other characters in the weeks to come. I honestly haven’t been into a show this much in years!

A Regal Extravaganza Par Excellence!
I was bought up on a stable diet of Disney Princesses who conquered the world; so a misplaced Prince wasn’t on my list. But then why not?For those who grew up watching Snow White, Cinderella or Aurora, the fictional part isn’t interesting; it is the struggles they go through. Of course, they have a knight in shining armor or a handsome Prince to protect them. But what happens when you are the Prince in distress instead of the damsel? Domundi TV’s “The Next Prince” quickly answers this question with a self awareness that is unhinged and particularly regal. Set in the fictional nation of Emmaly, the storyline goes through the same grind, albeit the queer way. For many who have anticipated the release of this royal romance, the wait might be worth it. Starring Zee Pruk and NuNew Chawarin who plays the titular role, “The Next Prince” is fraught with political intrigue, mystery and lots of drama. In the midst of this chaos, we have an inevitable romance blooming between the next heir to the throne and his very persistently aloof Royal Guard. Nunew has come a long way as he delivers a noteworthy performance as Khanin. He is captivating, engaging and yet somber. We have a medley of supporting characters that are as riveting as the main couple, so there is never a dull moment. Before diving into the Emmalyian waters, be warned; the men are handsome and too hot to handle!

The Power of a Kiss
With a rider on a white horse arriving at the Royal Palace in Davin City, 'The Next Prince' opens with a dizzying premise and has the audacity to succeed. The plot is as follows: Since being appointed captain of the Royal Guard, Charan Phithakdheva's (Zee Pruk Panich) life has focused solely on duties, which he gallantly performs after laying down the brush with which he paints beautiful paintings. This includes secretly flying from Emmaly to London to find and bring back Khanin (NuNew Chawarin Perdpiriyawong), one of the heirs to the throne of a kingdom ruled by a monarchy divided into four regions and leaders.
However, Khanin is unaware of his origins as a member of the Atsawathewathin Royal Family, belonging to one of the regions that divide Emmaly. After his mother's assassination, his grandfather, King Thipokbowon (Nhing Nirut Sirijanya), decided to protect him by sending him outside the kingdom's borders. He must return to comply with the law that requires a new successor to be chosen periodically, and therefore the heirs must compete to win the throne for their families. According to royal law, since reigns are not for life, the father of the winning heir becomes the new king of Emmaly.
The story shows how love can blossom between a crown prince and a subject, someone who, precisely, must protect him and bring him back to his homeland.
'The Next Prince' is the third BL series in which Zee and NuNew have acted together, following their successful debut as a couple in 'Cutie Pie' and its special episodes 'Cutie Pie 2 You', and in 'Naughty Babe' in 2023. Both directed by Aoftion Kittipat Champa, who here makes us cheer on the daring couple's transition from strangers to lovers, from crown prince to subject, with the support of cinematographer Sarawut Chuparkpanich, who photographs the protagonists with such adoration that you almost expect them to turn to the camera and offer a bottle of cologne.
Additionally, Zee and NuNew starred in the 2023 horror romance film 'After Sundown'.
Based on the novel of the same name by CEO. ft. ENNICE features some familiar names in the cast of this series, which blends equal parts action, drama, and romance, many of them in supporting roles. These include Tom Phollawat Manuprasert as Prince Tharin, Khanin's father; and Saksit Tangthong, who plays Thatdanai Keerakul, the man who, following the king's instructions, brought the heir to the throne to Great Britain to educate and raise the young man as if he were his own son.
Instead, the two lead actors, winners of major awards in 2022, including the "Y Universe Award for Best Leading Actor", the "Shining Star of the Year" Award, and "Most Outstanding Artists" at the Kazz Awards for their participation in the BL series "Cutie Pie", are at the center of attention, and both are undoubtedly seductive, both individually and as a couple. Basically, the chemistry between the two is also good, so a receptive audience in this regard has much to talk about and dream about.
It will be extraordinary when the captain of the Royal Guard and the crown prince become lovers. And while this happens later, what is clear to the audience is that when the two kiss while playing a game at a party —unbeknownst to Khanin, according to an Emmaly legend, when one person kisses another it is considered a promise of love with that person— you know they are meant for each other, even if they themselves don't know it. It doesn't take much to understand that.
Before the first episode ends, it's clear that desire and attraction grow between these two very different people; after that, there's talk of a great love. This might also make you dream.
Produced by Domundi and Mandee Work, with the initial situation (two young people, one destined to be the heir to the throne of Emmaly and the other the person who must protect him from those seeking to assassinate him and, with his death, prevent the Royal Family of Atsawathewathin from remaining on the throne for any longer), 'The Next Prince' already has all BL romance fans in the palm of their hand. A more forbidden love can hardly be imagined.
With a script by Jungjing Wanna Kortunyavat ('After Sundown'), directors Aoftion Kittipat Jampa and Den Panuwat Inthawat ('War of Y') almost manage to square the circle of romantic dramas. Strange, diverse, and charming, just like its two highly engaging protagonists, this romantic series about a nonexistent kingdom impresses with its clever staging and is particularly notable for its wit, lively dialogue, and combat action.
The two directors keep 'The Next Prince' in a solidly fantastical space. You never believe anything you're seeing on screen, from the inability of a skilled fencer to defend himself against a knife-wielding assassin, to the fact that someone so well-informed about Emmaly's history, culture, and traditions is unaware of the legend of the kingdom's kiss. And yet, like a summer read, it's easy to understand and has enough wit and insight to rise above many mediocre Thai BL series.
I'll return to the review later.
