News This is some of the best chemistry you will ever see
This is an extremely fascinating look into the industry, and it has also very interestingly already resulted in a life imitates art situation with all the toxicity the fandoms (you know which ones) are currently engaging into, which would be hilariously ironic if it wasn't annoying, toxic and probably damaging to the artists' mental health. The acting is really good, the pace of the story exactly as it should be at this stage and best of all, the chemistry between the leads is natural and downright SIZZLING.
P.S I just KNOW all the haters rating it low and/or marking it as "dropped" are LYING, because you know it's simply too good to miss out on and that's just facts.

LOVE IT ALREADY
As im writing this only 4 episodes are out but i can just foresee the future and still see myslef LOVING this series!Just to start off the ACTING?? Wow. Just wow. James is EXCEPTIONAL. As much as we all hate his character (Nine) we cant deny hes doing an amazing job. His facial expressions, his hidden anger, his sarcasm, GOSH i cant get enough of it. Auau and save genuinely are so cute they are amazing aswell. Im genuinely getting pulled in due to their performance and it just makes me want to nige watch it iver and over again. RYUJINPATJI! Give them more screen time please 😭 From what i have seen so far they are SO promising. Renji never fails to make me laugh and time nealry made me cry omg..
THE STROYLINE HOLY! Ive seen a few people say "Its repetitive" "ive seen this before" blahblahblah. I have NEVER, seen anything like this series before. It wows me how unique this series is. It shows the reality of the acting world, what actors face, the pressures, the consequences and it shows what theyre truly up agaisnt and that is eachother! What us fans see on a daily basis from bl actors is not entirely true! And im glad gheres a series like mr fanboy that shows their struggles like saesangs, practices, hate, money etc. The love plot between auausave and ryujinpatji are so enticing aswell! They are both slightly enemies to lovers and im sat. I just KNOW they are gonna eat this series down!
THE OST OMG. i love FANBOY omg. I have it on repeat all the time but i dont think anybody loves it more than auau LOL. At the beginning we only has the instrumental in the intro but now we have the whole song im ADDICTED. Also im not sure who else heard but they did the same this they didn in duang with you! Wan wan meow! ITS SO CUTE OMGGG. And also i just want to talk about the intro for a sec. ITS SO GOOD OMG. Ons of the first intros in a while i havent skipped omg. Its so good i can genuinely watch it all day.
Not much more to say but im so excited for the rest of the series and i know my boys are going to do an amazing job and i love them all so so much and i genuinely wish the series a great success! Please promote the series with whatever resources you have may that be your platform on apps or just word of the mouth. They are all amazing actors and severely underated so show auausave, ryujinpatji, james an nan some love and enjoy the series!!

So interesting and keeps you engaged
This show really surprised me with how good the writing is! The cast also do a fantastic job at really capturing what their characters are going through. The osts for the show also have all been really good so far. Auausave are fantastic actors that gave their all to these roles and i'm so shocked that this is their first main role, can't wait for more from them in the future. Ryujinpatji as renjitime are also very intriguing to me, we have yet to see their true motivations in the story but so far they have been doing a fantastic job. James as nine also nailed his role, his portrayal was layered and nuanced not a one dimensional villian role. Was this review helpful to you?
Excellent show and every shipper’s nightmare!!
Mr. Fanboy hooked me very quickly because it has much more going on than a simple celebrity/fan romance. Wan enters the entertainment industry almost by accident, already carrying a complicated relationship with fame and fandom, and immediately finds himself surrounded by people who are judging whether he belongs there. Third starts out openly antagonistic toward him, but that hostility gradually shifts into reluctant support, then friendship, and by episode 3 there are already some very sweet glimpses that this relationship is heading somewhere beyond friendship.Auau and Save have fantastic chemistry. Their antagonistic scenes work, their banter works, and once Third starts quietly helping and supporting Wan, the chemistry becomes even better. The small moments between them are especially effective because the relationship develops gradually rather than suddenly flipping from dislike to romance. Save is clearly the stronger actor of the two leads at this point, but Auau holds his own very well, and together they are extremely watchable.
The supporting cast is strong too. Ryujin apparently could have chemistry with a wall, because once again he immediately brings energy to every interaction he has. I’m especially excited to see more of him with Patji as the series develops. And James is doing an excellent job as Nine. Nine initially presents himself as warm and supportive, but Wan’s growing popularity—and particularly the attention Wan receives from both Third and the fans—brings out a much more jealous and threatening side of him. He is becoming a very effective antagonist.
One of the most entertaining parts of the story is that it is basically every shipper’s nightmare. Third and Nine are the established CP the fans expect to be affectionate, close, and happily feeding the ship, but behind the scenes they are anything but the lovey-dovey pair people imagine. That makes the fanservice side of the drama especially fun because it quietly raises an uncomfortable question: how many of our own favorite ships are nowhere near as smooth behind the scenes as fans assume?
Wan’s success also creates conflict far beyond the romance. Multiple people have reasons for wanting him brought down or removed from the production, while Wan himself remains largely unaware of how much resentment his growing popularity is creating. That gives the story real momentum and makes the entertainment-industry setting feel integral to the plot rather than simply background scenery.
Overall, the story is great, the acting is strong, and the chemistry is excellent—not only between Auau and Save, but throughout the cast. The sweeter Third/Wan moments beginning to emerge in episode 3 are particularly lovely, and the show has already given me enough character and industry drama to keep me thoroughly invested.

Review: Mr. Fanboy (Episodes 1–8)
A Thai BL series produced by Mandee Work, adapted from the novel by littlebear96At first glance, Mr. Fanboy feels like a light, fun showbiz romance about a star-struck fan stepping into the world he has only admired from afar. After watching the first eight episodes, however, this drama turns out to be far more layered: it explores fandom, the dark side of the entertainment industry, and a slow-burn love story that completely subverts Wan’s original expectations.
Wan, our lead character, is a loyal fan of celebrity Nine. When he sneaks backstage, he is immediately mistaken for a sasaeng fan by Third, Nine’s on-screen partner. This hostile first meeting sets up their tense dynamic. By a twist of fate, Wan gets an audition chance and is cast in the same BL drama as his idol. What begins as his dream come true slowly crumbles. The glamorous celebrity world he once idealized hides jealousy, manipulation and behind-the-scenes scheming.
The most attractive arc is the relationship between Wan and Third. They start off bickering and distrusting each other. As Wan suffers repeated trouble and sabotage, Third repeatedly stands up for him. Wan gradually realises that the person he once disliked is the one who truly cares for him, while his long-time idol Nine reveals a selfish, manipulative side. The chemistry between the two leads builds naturally, and their getaway trip in Episode 8 marks a sweet turning point for their bond.
This series also thoughtfully comments on modern fan culture. It discusses the boundary between sincere admiration and obsessive stalking. The script balances comedy, romantic tension and suspense well. The supporting characters Renji and Time add warm, lively moments to ease the heavy conflicts on set.
There are still four episodes left, and the conflict with Nine remains unresolved. Up to now, Mr. Fanboy has successfully hooked audiences. It is not merely a typical BL romance; it tells a story about growing up, letting go of false illusions, and falling for the person you never expected.

MASTERPIECE ALERT
Wow, this series got me hooked from the very first episode until now. The characters are so interesting and the acting is so fcking good, especially Save.It also contains a proper look behind the thai-BL-industry. The relationship that Nine and Third have, is something, that is really common in the real world I fear. So it is really refreshing to see it appear in such a series.
One thing to point out that is very negative to me, is that there are some scenes that destroy the mood. The fighting scenes between the make up artists are mostly unfunny and cringe.
I am so hyped for how the story continues. No matter how, it is a 100/10 already!

Acting is really tacky
Storyline is pretty decent but the cast don't know how to act or about actingSave (wan) acting sucks he didn't even know how to act as for his role that is good
Au (third) his acting is ok ok not so good
but James(nine) acting is good 👍
