Peak fun until the plot started copy‑pasting itself.
Okay, so here’s the thing: Flex X Cop totally got me in the first half. I’m not even pretending otherwise. I was eating it up. The whole “chaebol son pretending to be a cop” setup? Delicious. The way he just strolls into crime scenes with the confidence of someone who’s never been told no in his life? Hilarious. And the fact that he somehow solves more cases than the actual trained officers — using methods that should absolutely get him fired, sued, or both — was exactly the kind of chaotic charm I signed up for. It was fun. It was silly. It was sparkly. I was vibing.But then… the midpoint happened. And listen, the show didn’t suddenly fall apart or anything dramatic like that. It just started getting predictable in that quiet, creeping way where I could feel my enthusiasm slowly packing its bags. The cases weren’t bad — they were just… familiar. The beats weren’t wrong — they were just the same ones I’d already seen. And once I could see the pattern, the magic wasn’t there anymore. That’s when it became a me‑problem.
Because I could feel myself dragging my feet by episodes 9 and 10. Not because the show betrayed me, but because I didn’t want to keep going if the spark wasn’t going to come back. I didn’t want to push into the second half and end up disappointed when I was already side‑eyeing the screen like, “Okay, I get it, you’re a cop now, can we do something new?”
And honestly, I didn’t want to erase what hooked me in the first place. The first half was genuinely fun. It gave me exactly what I wanted: chaos, charm, and a lead who solves crimes like he’s speed‑running a video game. I just didn’t want to keep going once the shine wore off. So yes — it’s a me‑problem. I loved the beginning, I stalled in the middle, and I chose to preserve the version of the show that worked for me instead of forcing myself through the rest.

Overused plot
Don't get me wrong, this series was one of my most anticipated releases for this year but it kind of disappointed me. Maybe this show is not my cup of tea but the storywriters are just being lazy. They could have given us a better storyline by making the stepmother of Isoo not one of the bad guys. This plot, this character is being overused and stereotypical. But still love the bond between him and his brother. One thing I am irritated with is the attitude of the FL. Ik that she is harsh on him because she perceives him as just a rich kid enjoying Papa's money but her character could have been executed and written better. She is not being 'bold' by being rude for no reason. Also, I can't feel anything from her character like her expressions are just not giving the vibe that the character she is playing in this series should give. On the other hand, I think that Ahn Bo-hyun did the right job by playing this character. He gives off good energy and vibes. Every scene containing him is exciting so rather than adding a romance sub-plot with this terrible FL, increase his screentime and make this a show only for him instead.Was this review helpful to you?
Thoroughly Enjoyed, Waiting for season 2.
Just finished watching the last episode, and I’m so ready for a second season. This show it was amazing I mean each character had their own story. It was fully thoroughly shown throughout each episode the storyline flowed very smoothly. Everything wasn’t so predictable like some K dramas could be, I love the action I love the actors the cast was just amazing the direction of each scene it was just great. Female Lead was just awesome 👌. I wish it was more episodes , but no issues .. eagerly waiting for season 2.Was this review helpful to you?

IT'S NOT OVER YET......
The first season surprised me on several levels. It was a drama that had no episodes without importance or dragging. The whole story had good dynamics and followed a well-defined course. I always appreciate dramas that use episodes 15 and 16 to conclude the story. Most dramas use episode 16 for conclusions full of amenities and frivolities. However, FlexXCop used it differently, dosing its story effectively in 16 good episodes. It is a drama that deserves the success it achieved in South Korea and has the energy and potential for its second season, which I believe will only be released in 2026.
I liked the villain built in a complex way and shaped by the ambitions and neuroses of his mother, brought to us by Shi Yang with his character Seung Joo. This drama has a high level of quality and deserves only praise, there is nothing to criticise.

Absolutely Enjoyed this Series
This is absolutley one of the better Kdrama's I have ever watched and simpy the best show of 2024 so far. Periodt! Great cast and characters, good plot and mostly good writing. A few things annoyed me but overall a genuinely good show. I loved the cases they worked on and I loved the teamwork. The balance of comedy and drama was done so well in this series.Ahn Bo Hyun as Jin Isoo is perfect casting. The character could have been annoying but he was sweet, loveable and so damn likeable. Literally one of my favorite characters ever and his characater growth was phenomenal.
The show was a solid 10 for me but unfortunately the cliche villian trope was just so unnecesary and that's really the biggest negative I have about the series. Most of the writing was good but this and a few other inconsistent, nonsensical things is the reason I took that point away!! I would still rewatch this though and I rarely rewatch any shows.

but what was cops doing standing there and shooting a IRON PIPE like that and no bullet come to hit them back ?

Not a Batman Spinoff
When I was watching the first few minutes, I thought this was a Batman spinoff and I was ready to drop it but as with other shows, I gave it a chance. Luckily I didn't drop it and it's far from being a Batman spinoff. I am already enjoying it and it's just the second episode. To be honest, I haven't seen much shows from the leads and this was a fresh breather for me to see "new" faces that can act on point. The action is nicely done. The comedy is not forced and not slapstick either. Seeing that there's a romance in the genre makes me wonder how it will pan out.I am looking forward to watching every episode of this series.

interesting and fun to watch
i loved it. give it a try and find out for yourself. a different plot from the usual ordinary police trying to catch evil cheabols. now we have a cheabol assisting with his weird ways. I loved his relationship with his brother. it was refreshing to see that they did not fight over the company like most other dramas. perfect drama in each way! action, comedy, good plot and great character development.
I did not expect it to be soooo good. Honestly, I was hesitating to start this drama, as I was thinking that it's overrated because of the actor, but I could not be more wrong! I love it. The screenwriting is good, and I was not bored for a single second.The storyline is great. I love how Jin Su joins the team, and you can see how slowly they become close. Also, his way of solving the cases is funny; using his fame and wealth is awesome. You can see his soft side as well when he is genuinely helping the victims. The screenwriters did a great job with his character development. I like that we have a lot of cases with the main plot slowly uncovered towards the end. The best part is the team dynamic and teasing each other... hilarious!
The production is great, as is the acting.
This drama has everything... action, comedy, interesting plot, mystery.
I cannot wait for season 2.

This was amazing, Ahn Bo Hyun will never disappoint you. He is my favorite actor and this one was just wow. The plot, acting and everything else was just chef's kiss. I waited for this ever since news that Ahn Bo Hyun was starring in it, was released. No matter how much homework I had due I never missed an episode. This was just so amazing and intriguing. The chemistry between all the actors was so good, no other cast could have done better. I have watched every k-drama that Ahn Bo Hyun had a main role in and his role in all of them were amazing. the 2024 surprise of the year!the main theme? i was skeptical... the storyline? sounded cliché... first episode? meh...
i gave it a chance because of the good local viewrship!
i was glad because this is a whole world of a story!

that's becoming a rare trait in kdramas, unfortunately...
this is a show taken from an original russian tv show that had 5 seasons and movies! they had all the chances on their side to make it a success , and bravo its already renewed!
the Main actors and side characters were all amazingly played! they all had their personality, deph, meat!
the drama had the perfect blend of episode cases and the ML and FL arc stories.
i also loved the jazzy music, the 'personnified' inn soo, his victory/cool sign, his logo, it was all well done to be iconic!
the things i liked less? sometimes reveals were a little overdone... the story can be predictable but its always engaging!
i'll be tuning for s2. i'll try not to watch the original in the meantime haha
