Predictable Romance
The story was interesting at first, but then it fell flat. It's a fun romantic cliché, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you're expecting something different, you'll probably be disappointed. The music was repetitive, with the same three songs playing over and over. The chemistry between the actors was what saved it for me, and I did enjoy the main characters.
I don't think the show has much rewatch value since the plot dragged at times and many of the conflicts were easily resolved. Nonetheless, it was a fun and entertaining watch.

Enjoyable but very forgettable.
I'm not going to lie, I enjoyed this k-drama, but I think its biggest problem is that it's very forgettable. On one hand, the chemistry between our two main characters is good and it shows on screen. This show certainly doesn't let Song Kang's physical attributes down lol.
However, what I probably didn't like much was the plot, which in itself is not very innovative in the fantasy genre, it takes us back to past lives again, and reminded me a lot of Doom at your service and Destined With You and so many other kdramas, almost as if all of the fantasy Korean dramas had a child. For that reason, I think this show is easily forgettable.
Although I repeat, I'm not going to lie, I did enjoy it, but I wish they would have omitted so many things that I could tell were plot fillers and added very little from my perspective, and most of the characters were not that well written.

It was a surprising show!
Not, because the plot isn't predictable. Even tho there were some elements that actually surprised me, but there are shows that are even tho they're predictable, it's still fun, have a real meaning. My Demon is not the best show on Earth, but they didn't complicate the story too much, didn't stretched out anything for no reason, like many Kdrama does. Basically every character is lovable, funny, and the villains are not 1-dimensional.The writing isn't the best, but it's consistent, there's no unnecessary drama. Everything that the characters are doing is understandable. The chemistry between Kim You Jung and Song Kang is top-notch, every actor did their best. Honestly, it's quite surprising that most characters actually developed into a better one.
The best part, at least for me, is that there's no stupid love drama, no crazy love triangle or anything like that. The past life story was great too, but it could've been a bit longer.
I LOVED how Ga Young's story "ended", her character development is probably the best!
Like I said, the show surprised me with some of its twists, but overall it's still predictable, but this is the prime example when it can't ruin the enjoyment.
I loved the message of the show as well: Nothing as simple as you may think. Everything has two sides.
I think, this is the meaning of the show.
This show deserve the hype for sure, but don't expect too much, this is just a good, thrilling show with well-written characters and love story.

Not bad but not good
It's an easy watch, no need to use your brain at all. Probably a good way to destress.Plot
The writing is not amazing, but it's not so boring that I would drop it. As other reviews already mentioned, it's a mix-and-match of your favourite typical cliches. NOTHING AGAINST CLICHES, I like them.
Cast
Amazing visuals from the main cast, Song Kang and Yoojung, and they have amazing chemistry in my opinion (I mean what else can I say?) Acting is great.
Music
Amazing setlist omg, I would totally add the OSTs to my Spotify playlist. The opening theme is catchy and well. Tiktok speaks for itself.
Rewatch value
Rated it kinda high because I think it's really easy to just throw this on and enjoy it.

i love the series and i would fully recommend it.
i normally dont watch kdrama with romance when its one girl and one man as often the girl is made in a way I don't like. but in this series she was shown as an independent woman from start. even if the body guard thing maybe makes her own power less but I feel like it didn't take away how she is. i fully recommend watching it. i will rewatch it one day. Its my fav kdrama romanceWas this review helpful to you?
It grew on me
I'm glad I watched this show. I don't know why because it's full of tropes and some moments or plot points weren't convincing – some parts were laughable because of how convenient they were to the plot. I wanted to drop the drama after 2 or 3 episodes but I kept on watching because I love the two main leads and every show they've been a part of.And SOMEHOW the things that annoyed me the most about the show (exaggerated "charicature comedy" like with the butler and the employees, KYJ not really fitting her "cold CEO" role IMO, trope after trope, not that strong of a chemistry between the two leads...) slowly improved. I probably just matched my expectations to what I was watching and got used to the style of the show. Once I accepted it for what it was it got better and I ended up enjoying many aspects, such as how the main leads evolved over time as individuals and in their relationship, the suspense that was predictable but still fun to watch, the relationships between the "villains", the play with the ideas of good and evil and the aesthetic of the show. I'm glad I had time to binge-watch it though because I would have dropped it had watched it as it came out or couldn't skip forward certain parts.
And how stunning are SK and KYJ? Like damn, they suit each other so well TT

it was okay, but imo a bit overhyped?
The storyline was quite okay, I kind of like the supernatural stuff, so a demon was a nice choice. The chemistry was definitely there and the leads were leading. Maybe it's my fault that I gave a rather lower rating because I did not finish this kdrama in a one watch, I had like uhhh 6 months between 14 episodes and the last 2 episodes. So maybe if I watched this is one go it would've hit harder. One problem I had with this drama was that it was kind of predictable?
Anyways it was still fun and the side characters were fun af as well.

♡ ‧₊˚ ⋅ ౨ Honest Review ৎ ‧₊ .ᐟ
˗ˏˋ I just recently finished this drama today after putting it off for a while. I loved all the characters, especially the main characters. Do Do-Hee and Gu-Won are a match made in heaven.. well, hell. I thoroughly enjoyed the drama, however, I will say that the drama started to feel rushed as it progressed, especially the last few episodes. An example I’d like to use is when Noh Seok-min showed up after supposedly “committing suicide.” Instead of explaining how he ended up alive, it was never explained. He now has a deep hatred for both Gu-Won and Do Do-Hee and will do everything in his power to put an end to them. To do so, he kidnaps Do Do-Hee and hurts her to lure Gu-Won to his location. This entire scene felt so rushed to me because one second he’s showing up, determined to end them both and then the next he’s already nowhere to be seen on screen. Do Do-Hee ends up dying in Gu-Won’s arms after being severely injured by a gunshot wound, but Gu-Won sacrifices himself to save her life, fading away into nothingness. That doesn’t last long, however, because now he’s suddenly back! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed this drama a lot, I just have a bone to pick towards the end. For the most part, it was climactic, the acting was amazing from everybody involved, the characters are easy to fall in love with, and the romance is top tier. I definitely would recommend this to anybody and if you’ve been thinking of watching it I’d give it a shot! Although I need to knock off points for the rushed feel towards the end, It’s still a great drama nonetheless. ´ˎ˗Was this review helpful to you?
I want Song Kang as my demon boyfriend
Loved this! Watched it for Song Kang but fell in love with the series and with You Jung! So happy it was as popular as it was! Loved seeing everyone talk about it as it was airing and loved to be a part of that. The chemistry between the main two was out of this world!! I need these two in series together again. I loved the story and could've watched so much more! Was this review helpful to you?
A silly demon and his, frankly, badass wife
I enjoyed this story. I can understand why some people might feel put off by the plot development, but it seems unfair to label it as bad simply because some viewers might overlook its shortcomings in favour of the main leads’ beauty. My Demon effectively serves its purpose as a romance drama centred around a human woman and a demon.
The plot is indeed simple: after they accidentally transfer his powers to her, he decides to stick around until they eventually fall in love. Does the story drag at times? Yes. However, it is also wholesome and beautiful, featuring some impressive effects.
To be honest, it isn't that deep. Just enjoy the visuals and the action; it's well-developed and entertaining enough to pass the time.
