Great but destined to not be a Masterpiece
The drama was great in the initial episodes, but soon it lost touch. There are some good life lessons to learn. And the pacing is good, but not the best. Su Min and Min Hwan stole the limelight. Even though they were antagonists, there presence was better than that of male leads. Male lead chemistry, I feel, is kind of off at the beginning, but soon it becomes good.I think they were not able to portray the year 2013. It's 10 years ago, but for that timeline, all they did is change mobile phones to old Samsung phones while everything was still the same. I think they would have created a good nostalgic theme, but that was not the intention. Still, that thing had potential. I am happy with this drama but it's not much memorable and I rate it 8/10 overall.

Not a nail-biting revenge drama, falling short in the end.
Barring the last few episodes, this is a good drama. Strong start, great cast & acting - the revenge plot dwindled towards the end with some unnecessary elements. Guess, the ending/revenge being satisfactory or not would differ people to people & hence affect the overall liking for this drama. For me, it wasn't the triumphant-fist-pump-the-air kind of revenge in the end that I love so I was unsatisfied. But the writers tied up all the knots- which makes it a decent if not great finish. Main for me the revenge arc was average : 5-6 out of 10. It had great potential but was not suspenseful/unexpected & felt mediocre when delivered in the final episodes.Fav Aspects:
1. The female friendships
2. Men (ML, Chef, U&K Lawyer) being such green flags
3. Decent Antagonists (the FL's friend & boyfriend/fiancé)
What I Did Not Like:
1. Ep 12-16 were rushed, had unnecessary angst & characters (eg: ML's ex-fiancée & greedy parents)
2. Lead Pair Chemistry was Lacking (yes, even with all the hot kisses)
3. Wished Ju Ran & Yoo Hee Yeon (the support FLs) had more time for their stories & not just hints at the end.
Overall: 7/10
Decent one-time watch given the hype & media coverage, but not something I will rate in my top 10 list of revenge dramas.

How did the director mess up such a good story? Bests me and beats the score
‼️A super lengthy review‼️I mean how hard can it be to make a series. I know it is a very difficult task but you have a well laid out story, and great actors so how can someone mess this up so badly.
I had a lot of expectations with this one but it was a total let down. There is a way of connecting to your viewers but pulling emotional cards is definitely not the way. Too many emotional cliches only bore the audience.
The way the director and the writers have carried this out is totally wrong and boring. It has so many cliches that it is reminding me of the heirs. The original story was pretty firm and nice so I don’t get why they changed the complete story for cliches.
Ji Won is not coming out as a strong character nor is Su Min coming out as a villain. Su Min feels like a character dead set on coveting the ML in manhwas who are always idiotic and annoying.
Tbh this series could have done very well on so many grounds but the story is disappointing. I was bearing with it but after I saw the fiancé/ ex gf cliche I was so done. And what’s up with the self sacrifice ? I am not watching an army movie that I will see self sacrifice.
How did the man survive the truck only god knows.
The ost is nothing great too. Nothing that will make me you know want to sit and enjoy the songs it’s just normal. And for some reason no matter how I try I cannot see the Chemistry between those too. Oh also the sponsor placing is way too obvious and it is almost hilarious.

A little disapointed!
I've read the webtoon and i loved it so i was expecting more from the drama but sadly...they changed too much.. the acting was good of course. i know all the actors... but really they didnt do what it had to be done with the story i mean.
they took out scenes that were important, they changed the timeline of the events,they even changed the personality of some characters... they put in drama that was not necessary and not in the webtoon...if i say more i'll basically spoil the whole drama...I am gonna watch til the end the drama but that is not gonna change my point of view sadly.
i understand that some stuff are not gonna be the same but this is too much in my opinion.
what should i say... disapointed.

My thoughts on the show
I think the show started off well with a lot of promise at the beginning, but sadly, it lost its steam somewhere in the middle for me when they dragged out the 'revenge' plot for as long as they could, and it probably got even worse towards the end when they unnecessarily introduced a last-minute villain in the form of Yura. The acting was great, though, especially the main antagonists, Park Minhwan and Jung Soomin. To be honest, in some ways, I felt like I continued watching just for them. The romance was so-so. It's a situation where, on paper, it would've been cute, but watching it, it just felt bland. It's the type of romance where I wouldn't care if they get together or not. But it could just be due to poor execution. They do have some chemistry, but I find Jihyuk (the male lead) to be a pretty bland character overall. But at least it has a satisfactory ending, with all ends tied up nicely for the main leads.Was this review helpful to you?
Great concept
I liked the revenge plotline at first and the actress portraying Su-min was really good, I watched 'Please Don't Date Him' fairly recently so to see her play the antithesis was really cool and well done; I went from rooting for her and now wishing on her downfall. My main gripe was the romantic aspect, more so that it really lacked in my opinion and I think it was played too straight, I could literally call each scene before it actually happened, and while there is a bit of a formula to romantic kdramas, that wasn't the issue though, it was that I didn't care for the main couple, there was no real chemistry. To me the male lead felt more like Batman than anything, which is wild because I have seen a few clips of the actor and he's comes off really charismatic in real life. Also hated the addition of the ex of Ji-Hyuk being such a villain. I will admit the ending was cuteWas this review helpful to you?
Disappointed ...
The storyline started off strong in the first few episodes. But with the character if BoA coming in,it has sadly veered so far off course. This observation was also noted by some netizens as well.Everything just feels off right now. I cannot comprehend why the FL's fate has transferred to co-worker Yang. This considering that she isn't even considered as a main character in the story. It would have been more realistic if the second lead was the one experiencing this series of bad luck situations
Park Min Young's acting has also turned into something so predictable. Na In Woo can definitely fit into the role of a ML given the right script. He has the height and build for it. I enjoyed Lee Yi Kyung's character because he does provide a bit of a comedic relief despite being a shady character. If anything, he and Song ha Yoon have proven that they can steal the show. They both delivered their characters superbly. Being a hateful villain for me is a testament of a great actor....
Anyway.... 2 episodes to go and I will be done with this....

This drama is not just about returning to the past and getting revenge on those who wronged you, instead, it combines healing yourself, finding yourself, and romance alongside with revenge.While watching this drama, you will not find yourself bored, instead watching with anticipation of what's going to happen because it gives you QUALITY with literally everything! ~ the dialogues, the makeover, the romance, revenge, and healing!
This drama uses a classic revenge plot, everything has been done before, yet it is done in a manner where that does not feel annoying or repetitive, you can expect to see common things like:
- FL & ML who goes back to the past ✅
- Fl gets revenge on the people who were close to her ✅
- truly shameless ex-boyfriend and best friend ✅
- Rich Ml who has loved the FL for a long time✅
- Acting: The actors did an amazing job of portraying the characters so that you can feel their emotions; the shameless boyfriend and ex-best friend will make your blood boil and want to scratch their eyes out... I want to go inside the screen and slap both of them. They made me so mad!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ )
p.s: The best acting reward goes to: THE CUTEST ORANGE CAT! (so adorable!!)
- Plot: Although nothing about the plot is new and the themes are common, the drama does a good job of making its twists and turns to keep the watchers engaged. The revenge is so satisfying and the romance between the leads grows as well as their character development. FL slowly and steadily became strong with the male leads' support to get revenge and get back at them.
- Music: Honestly, I do not remember a single song they used as it blended into the background a little too well, and it was not overall impactful. However, there were these scenes where they used BTS songs for a big moment! And it was very unique and cute!!
At this point, if you haven't watched it, I going to come to kidnap you and make you watch! So give it a chance ^^

Not my cup of tea
As a fan of the webtoon, the webtoon ofc establishes the characters and their motivations much more clearly and in a timeline that makes more sense. I haven't read the web novel so I'm not sure how much they pulled from there vs the webtoon. But I'm honestly unsatisfied with the changes they've made to the story at least from what I've read and known from the webtoon. It feels like they watered down a perfectly good plot and characters into something much more generic. Like the source material was great, handed to them on a silver platter, and they chose to make unnecessary changes like adding in this rival (Yura) for Jiwon, watering down Jiwon's character into someone much less resolute or ruthless with her desire to really take the reins back on her life, involving Eunho much more than needed to in order to exacerbate the "love triangle", taking away the accomplishments of the other FLs such as Juran and putting them all on Jiwon instead, etc.It just sucks because it's honestly a nice empowering narrative of independence and confidence in yourself and your choices, while also still sharing a message of the power in not being alone and being able to truly depend and have people who actually care for you. But all this was kinda watered down into a generic revenge plot.
A positive I can take away from this kdrama though is that the portrayals of the villains was perfection, Song Ha-Yoon and Lee Yi-Kyung deserves a lot of credit and recognition. All that said, while I highly recommend the webtoon, the kdrama might be a hit or miss especially if you're watching this coming from the webtoon.

This was fun
Finally a drama about bad parents, bad spouses, bad friendships, and a hint of divorce is no only necessary but may save a persons life... Done kind of odd. As this drama mixes a bunch of my beloved clices ads a moment of confusion interesting twists (some more predictable than others) and mote or less enjoyable characters.The good ones may do questionable things but are so good they make you cringe at times.... The villains are so evil it is hard to feel for them. That said they did make it very clear how difficult it can be to break loose...
Even while knowing the ending... fighting back agains those close does take its tool.
That said there are several parts in this drama that made me go :Oh come on... and oh no shi***.... As some twists could be sensed a 14 episodes in advance.
This is not a. masterpiece but a fun watch for those who can appreciate a man who can wait, wrist grabs, evil, gaslighting and a different twist to the secound chance go back in time romance.

As always, Park Min Young was excellent. Na In Woo was new to me and I was impressed. He really sold his part. Everyone else was cast perfectly. The "bad guys" were fully committed, especially the best friend, and their performances were often disturbing (which was the point, I think).
The problem was the script and, therefore, the actual character development. I'm usually fine with cartoonish caricatures in fluffy / silly shows, but the good guys were nauseatingly good and the bad guys were over-the-top bad. Like, moronic, no redeeming qualities bad guys.
Given what the actors and director had to work with regarding the script, I thought it was the best it could be. Thus, 6.5.

"Marry My Husband" is the story of Ji Won, a woman who feels inferior at work and at home. She supports her family, even though she is mistreated by her husband and mother-in-law. One day, Ji Won discovers that she has terminal cancer and, while she is in the hospital, she has no idea that her husband is cheating on her with Su Min, her best friend. She caught them together and was killed at that moment. In a twist of fate, Ji Won goes back in time to before all this happened and gets a second chance at life to change everything. The only problem is that she has to give her fate to someone else.The interesting thing is not the time travel, as many dramas do that, but the issue of changing fate: she cannot change the things that will happen, but she can change the person it will happen to. Ji Won's plan is incredible: she saved herself and even got her revenge. Min Hwan and Su Min got what they deserved, and Ji Won got her happy ending.
Ji Won and Ji Hyuk are a cute couple with great chemistry, but for me the romance isn't the focus, since Ji Won's revenge plan is more important than that. Seeing her transform into a strong and independent woman, and no longer a victim, was worth it.
This was a drama full of controversies, the funny thing is that none of this was because of the story, but because of the actors. Let's be honest, this is ridiculous. I like South Korea, but I hate the importance of public opinion, the power they have in the entertainment world, to the point that anything can destroy someone's career... that's exactly why the suicide rate is so high.
Instead of focusing on Park Min Young and Na In Woo's amazing acting, the only thing people mentioned was Min Young's ex-boyfriend and that In Woo was too ugly to be the lead. Where does that make sense? But the important thing is really the drama, and I have to say that it's a great production.
