A touching, beautifully acted romance that lingers long after it ends.
Lovely Runner is a heartfelt fantasy romance where a devoted fan travels back in time to save her favorite idol, only to find herself entangled in a tender, time-crossing love story. Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok deliver phenomenal chemistry, balancing humor, warmth, and bittersweet emotion. With its mix of youthful romance, healing, and fate-driven storytelling, the drama is both addictive and moving. Was this review helpful to you?
Best drama this year so far...
I love this beautiful drama a lot, and I strongly recommend it. The storytelling is perfect. The directing is excellent. The leads' acting and chemistry are great. It is rare to see such chemistry on screen. Everything is so well thought out. Thanks to this drama, I got to know the wonderful Kim Hye Yoon. Was this review helpful to you?
Too Overhyped
There are a few long reviews by people that didn't like this drama, so I won't bother. But the FL is so annoying - her voice grates and the unsuccessful attempt to be cute just feels like wading in saccharine. I really can't stand another episode - I'm surprised I made it through 3.There doesn't seem to be any real substance, although dropping after 3 episodes means that things might have gotten better. But when I'm watching K-Dramas, I want the characters to be interesting and have some depth. Would I invite them to a party at my house? Would I enjoy sitting next to them on a long plane ride? And the answer is no, not these characters.

aaaaaa
I enjoyed watching this in general but therw are some things I don't like :(. First off, does SunJae actually commit after seeing Sol for the first time in years or is it Kim YoungSoo once again? I mean he sees his lifelong crush after so long, plus she looks happy so why would he do that? also I really don't like how everyone else forgot :(( like sunjae, inhyuk and taesoong's friendship was so nice to watch. it really saddens me honestly. overall, it was a good watch, and im saying this as a person who doesn't really watch time travel and supernatural shows and dramasWas this review helpful to you?

What could have been
I wished I could've liked this more than I did. It had great potential but somehow it missed it.I like a good time travel drama, the kind where the time travel is at the beginning and then again at the end if the character has to go back to his or her own time. Which is what I thought this drama would be. She would go back in time to save him, they'd fall in love, she would stop him from dying, they'd come back to the present and tada happily ever after.
Unfortunately, that is not what I got. There was a lot of back and forth, back and forth, she'd save him from dying one way and then lo and behold he'd die a whole new way.
The FL was way too irritating. She'd go from not wanting to be away from him so she could protect him to pushing him away to protect him. Honestly, it got old in a hurry.
I felt so sorry for Ryu Seon Jae. She broke his heart over and over again. At no time did she deserve him.
Although the ending was a happy one, for me it was still a bitter pill to swallow after all she had put him through.
The only reason to watch this is if you're a fan of Byeon Woo Seok (he is perfect as Ryu Seon Jae), otherwise I'd give it a pass.

Our main character Im Sol, has her heart in the right place, but I don't know where her head is. If I had to describe her actions throughout the series, it would simply be "Doing The Most". Sure, it added a lot of comedic effects and I definitely laughed a lot at her shenanigans. The actress Kim Hye-yoon also helped portray her as "cute" rather than "annoying", but by the end of this story, I was honestly questioning this woman and her poor decision making ability. That's the main reason why this story dragged out. I feel like this could be a great 10 episode story if she just stopped and used her head.
The main lead Ryu Seon Jae was pretty much golden retriever energy through and through which I don't like usually, but the actor Byeon Woo-seok made me change my mind for once, and I thoroughly enjoyed his character. I found him charming and cute when he's being smitten.
Most of the side characters annoyed me and I couldn't care less about the Side Lead. I didn't find them funny, nor cute, it was kinda way too much. They just got on my nerve and it was really difficult to pay attention to the screen when they showed up. Loved the grandma and the begrudgingly supportive friend Baek In Hyeok. The prize goes to Kim Tae Seong. It's worth repeating how much I liked his character. One detail I liked in this show, how she liked the "badboy" image when she was a teenager, but when she grew up she fell for the "nice guy" who gave her life. A bit cliche, but I vibed with it.
There were brilliant directive choices that kept me hooked in the begining, they really tied everything cleanly in the first half of the show. They didn't need an antagonist, the show managed to make everything interesting with small details and bits and pieces that were revealed at the end of each episode. Then, after the "villain" was revealed, it just got... bland. It was mostly due to Im Sol not having the word "wise" in her dictionary, but I felt like it could have been more thrilling and engaging. Instead, it was a disappointment. I want to drop my rating every time I think about it.
The humor in the show is a hit and miss. Some scences got me laughing so hard I had to pause. Other times, I was cringing so bad, I was close to skipping so many times I had to physically stop myself. But strangely, I'm not mad at it.
The music was great. Not much to say but the OST [10CM - 봄눈 (Spring Snow)] was my favorite. I found myself singing along by the end.
This show started out really strong. By episode 3, I found myself easily hooked. Halfway, it kinda went downhill, and as sad as this sounds, I'm kinda used to this pattern in K-dramas. Still, it was definitely an enjoyable watch and I don't regret picking it up.
Overall, I had a fun experience. It's the kind of drama that I wouldn't rewatch fully, but I'll definitely repeat my favorite scences and watch multiple FMVs. So, there's that.

First kdrama I've enjoyed since Dots [HONEST REVIEW] will continue after I finished the show:
Okay Lovely runner, the fuc is this title? And high school theme poster, it's so cliché..but why in the world it got me sobbing after 8mins?-idk how to start a review but first of all those who's not happy about the character of kim hye yoon(im sol) should just dropped the show coz it annoys me how can they diss a character when we're are in her pov, we should understand her the most coz we know what's she's thinking and why she's doing everything . YET mfs instead use their pov to reason the logic of the show! Shut up do you have traumaS? Amnesia? Did your an idol save you too? and that idol dies? Yada yada.. okay enough rant.
-lovely runner established whats the premise of the show from the from the start and after ep. 3 they add another layer to that time travel/saving sun jae/ something to do with fate.. throughout the series, the writer would slowly slip us this idea of what's bound to happen would happen, it is annoying , frustrating and traumatic not just to the viewers but to our mc imsol too. Especially to imsol!
-tho I admit the concept of timetravel in this show is still a mystery and a plot hole itself.. the story about their love is just sooooo good, chemistry and acting..comedic timing is good too! There's still some cringe moment(some scene of geum) but overall the only thing that's concerning me is how would they wrap up everything in just two episode.
But even if it turns out bad or open ending, i would never forget LR for bringing me those butterflies again, I grow up watching kdramas, those who just have pure love, romance and cute stuffs, then when stop i got bored, tho i still enjoyed different genre but never be like someone who would be screaming and punching my pillow for just a smoch. This maybe my last kdrama idk but thank you lovely runner team! You guys deserve every praises❤️

Cringey
I decided to check out this drama because of the high ratings. But, OMG. I couldn't get passed episode 2 and had to give up. It was so cheesy and cringe. It's just your typical Kdrama where the female lead is soooooo optimistic, despite having a disability problem.
Female lead is so irritating and scenes are cringey. Omg!

one of the best drama you'll ever see
I cant wait for the upcoming episodes. This is so good and the actors have done such a great job. The story line is amazing. It keeps the viewers on the edge.First of all the male lead is soo freakin HOT!!! so far we have seen him only as SML, being the main lead actually suits him more. There is no scene in this drama you ll feel like skipping. Every scene is full of emotions. The first few episodes are a emotional rollercoaster between sadness, love and comedy.
This drama has exceeded my expectations on every aspects. And the casting...... SIMPLY SUPERB!!!!!

Another overhyped drama
I dropped this drama after ep 3. They tried hard to make this a comedy but the comedy is not happening. The story line and transition of time traveling are also awful. And idk it's like watching another extraordinary you. Start with the FL, same actress, similar character. Childish and trying hard to look happy and bright. The only natural-looking cast is byeon wo seok. The rest are just hmm.
Save your time by reading the other reviews.

LR Review
just an overhyped drama, It's a boring for me and can't relate a high schooler unrealistic story. I tried to understand the first 3 episodes but I just dropped it. Touted as a "must-watch," I was eager to dive into the storyline, but after a few episodes, it became clear that this was not going to live up to the hype. The pacing was unbearably slow, and the plot, while initially intriguing, quickly became repetitive and predictable. Every episode felt like it was dragging, with long, drawn-out scenes that added little value to the overall narrative. The characters were flat and one-dimensional. The lead actors, while talented, were given very little material to work with. The female lead, in particular, was reduced to a passive, almost lifeless character, with most of her screen time spent crying or waiting for the male lead to make decisions for her. There was no growth, no depth, and no real reason to care about what happened to any of them. Even the side characters, who are often the saving grace in slower dramas, were underdeveloped and forgettable.
The romantic storyline, which should have been the heart of the drama, lacked chemistry and emotional depth. It felt forced and rushed, with little buildup to make the audience truly invest in their relationship. Moments that were meant to be emotional or heartfelt fell flat because the characters felt disconnected.
On top of that, the soundtrack is just okay, playing the same song over and over in nearly every emotional scene. Instead of enhancing the drama, it became an annoyance.
In the end, I found myself fast-forwarding through entire episodes just to get to the conclusion, which was equally underwhelming. If you're looking for a K-drama that captivates you from start to finish, this is not the one.

MANY QUESTIONS BUT ULTIMATELY A GOOD ONE
This drama gave me the vibes of A Time Called You, the same with the oast and everything. However this one left a better impression and it had a more satisfying ending for my tastes. The only and the main problem for me was the non existence of explanations of the main plot. I have so many questions about all of this and the most important is this: If every time Sol goes back in time it’s like a new life, a new story begins, how is possible for Sun Jae in the end to remember all the things they have live together? Since this one , is a new Sun Jae without any memories of Sol.Was this review helpful to you?
