this is peak bl
genuinely one of the - if not the most - peak bl i have ever watched. from the gripping soundtrack to the lovely cinematography, everything about this drama was a masterpiece. i especially loved the romance between peem and khemjira - it was a master slowburn full of deep longing stares and repressed feelings. don't even get me started on peem and his eyes and how unreasonably fine that man is. he had me swooning every time he was on screen. if you want yearning and pining then this show is for you - because the way those 2 yearned for each other needs to be studied.also, the actual plot had me hooked - i loved the flashbacks to their previous lives and how it all connected to the present. it was so refreshingly original and just beautifully crafted . jin and da were especially cute. anyways i'm going to miss this show it's become a part of my routine. i've genuinely entered a state of depression because i already miss this show - 12 episodes is not enough!!!

The greatest show I've ever seen.
I had high hopes for Khemjira from the very beginning. I love all things horror and supernatural, and boy, was I NOT disappointed. Khemjira is probably one of the best shows I’ve seen in my lifetime. It blends the horror/supernatural elements with friendship, love, humor, and care in a way I haven’t seen done before. Whether you enjoy supernatural or horror shows, I believe Khemjira is something everyone should watch. The musical score, the places they filmed, everything about this show is beautiful; if the story itself doesn’t keep you entertained, the scenery, friendship, and love every character in this show has, will.I adored the dynamics from the first episode; the friendships and the deep level of care and affection Jet and Khem have is something everyone wishes for, and when Charn gets added into the mix, you can tell their trio is complete. Paran being mysterious, hot, and magical? Icing on top of the ALREADY excellent cake.
The acting from everyone involved was so good. I had some issues with Namping’s acting and lack of reaction, but for his first main character role, he did good, and I can see him growing and becoming a better actor as his career goes on.
I was captivated by the mystery of Khem’s curse, and I was kept guessing and theorising every episode. I really loved how the show delved into the past lives of not just Khem and Paran but Jet and Charn as well. Can we pause and talk about the MAGNIFICENCE of the casting? The women who got to play past life Khem, Jet, and Charn were eerie in how much they all looked alike. Speaking of the women, I found it interesting and, honestly, refreshing that they made Khem, Jet, and Charn female in their past life instead of male. Especially since the flashblack of set in 1939 Thailand.
Khemjira focuses on a lot of important issues and can be sensitive, so be careful with that. I won’t say I enjoyed those scenes, but I did like how the show portrayed them and didn’t shy away from them, even though the topics are sensitive.
I simply love the found family troupe and how that troupe plays out between Paran, the villagers, Grandma Si, Thong, and Ake.
I haven’t cried this much due to a show since I watched Until We Meet Again. So be warned and ready for tears.
When I saw Net appear on screen, I was so excited, and I wasn’t disappointed. Net’s character is hilarious, and I loved the chaos he brought. I’ve missed seeing Net on screen.
Now onto my rambles and reactions. MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD.
Thong and Ake are adorable. They are two of my favorite characters. They bring a lightness and an innocence to the series that helps to keep it from being too dark.
You can really see the difference between Paran and Khem when Paran exorcises Rae. Khem is naive and hopeful that Rae and Worn’s love will prevail, while Paran knows it won’t be easy and it probably won’t happen.
Not everyone sharing the same look while Jet is making heart eyes at a passed-out Charn.
I swear any scene involving Khem’s mother or Khem’s past life makes me sob.
That flashback scene involving Jet, Thong, and Ake almost made me cry. Jet loves them so much, and they love him. Screw Jet’s stupid father for making Paran take his ghost sight away. Even though I understand the reason, it was still wrong and made me mad.
ISTG Jet is a manifestation of us as an audience. Jet and Charn are the shipmasters of Khem and Paran.
The whole subplot of Earn and Big just pissed me off. First, she doesn’t even seem to care that he was cheating on her or that he got another girl pregnant; she only cares if he still loves her or not. Not if he was going to be there for their baby. She let herself get so torn up over that scum bag, she almost killed herself and her baby. Big’s wife needs to leave his ass and take her unborn baby with her. Earn needs serious help, and her baby needs a safe place to be while that happens. Big’s wife doesn’t even seem to care about him cheating on her or having a baby with someone else.
I sort of understand why Paran was an ass to Khem in the beginning, but he does all of that pushing away while planning to help Khem no matter what. Didn’t make much sense to me.
Now, onto heavier topics: Ramphueng. I was so glad they didn’t make her reason for wanting revenge a dumb one. Ramphueng’s reason for her curse actually makes sense, and you can’t help but feel so bad for her and what happened to her. She was wronged on so many levels, and none of it should have happened. I cried like a baby during episode 9. I had to keep taking breaks so I could try and stop crying. What Ramphueng went through was horrific, and no mother should ever have to go through that. Now, this is probably controversial: do I think Khem deserved to be cursed? No, I don’t, and here's why. Khem’s past self was a literal child who, after witnessing something so horrible, was then coached by her mother to lie because of what the first wife could have POSSIBLY done. But you have to think, if Krongkhwan’s mother hadn’t scared her with what ifs, and instead Krongkhwan told the truth, the first wife would have been punished or even sentenced to death, so she wouldn’t have been able to do anything to them.
I cried so hard when Ake was killed, and poor Thong didn’t want to be without him. (Which I still don’t really understand how that could happen since Ake and Thong are spiritual helpers of Paran. I didn’t think ghosts could be killed.) It broke my heart seeing Khem blame himself for Paran losing Thong, Ake, and Grandma Si when it wasn’t his fault.
The biggest reveal of the show was something I NEVER saw coming. It was heartbreaking how Ramphueng was so consumed by anger and revenge that she couldn’t even recognize the soul of her son in Monk Kasem. The fact that she almost killed her son due to her rage was so sad. I was glad Khem chose not to get revenge on Ramphueng and instead wished her well on her karma journey and her life thereafter. I don’t know if I could be as strong as Khem, as to not really forgive, but move on, from all the hurt and torment she put him through. It broke my heart how none of the past life versions of Khem, Paran, Charn, and Jet got their happy endings, but I’m so happy they finally got them in this life.
I about lost it when Khem asked Paran if he could see Uncle Chai. Man, I was worried he had died or something!
The finale of Khemjira was wonderful and everything I could have ever asked for. We got so much happiness in the face of Khem and Paran getting married (Weird but sweet proposal, Paran), and how they adopted the reincarnation of Thong and Ake almost made me cry again. And after so long of Paran helping and keeping the villagers safe, now they’re learning magic and taking steps to help take care of each other and Peem while he trains again… My heart, man. I love found family

Best BL of 2025... To me!
An absolute masterpiece.Although the actors were newbies, their acting was extremely impressive. And the CHEMISTRY, oh GOD. It was PERFECTION.
Also a HUGE round of applause for the casting team.
Everything was so well done, and the ending was extremely satisfying too. It showcased Thai culture and religion in a way I never expected.
In short, I would be following all future works of the main and side couples as well as their solo works. The show and the actors deserve every single praise.
If you want a very unique very beautiful, genuine and heartfelt love story, all packaged with brilliant production and sound design, goosebumps and tears-inducing music, you MUST give Khemjira a chance!

I heard a lot about it, so I had big expectations. And it didn't disappoint. But I'm happy, I didn't wait every weeks. I watch it in almost one sitting (couldn't only because day are only 24hours and I need to sleep...)
Namping, I'm in love with you. He is such a great actor, he act really well. I was almost feeling his emotions every time. I was hurt when he was hurt, and happy when he was.
The main story with the ghost was so so so great!! I felt so sorry for her, she didn't deserve all that. I'm sorry but I was on her side (expect for the little girl, she was so young and under the manipulation of her mother - mother who did right to choose her safety. Even though it was unfair, I get her, maybe the king wouldn't believe her).
The secondary couple, please "We are gay in every timeline". Lesbian and gay at the same time qjdjqdj Incredible. And I love how they love Khem in every timeline. It's so beautiful. I hope they have each other in the next time line too.
It made me almost say to my best friend, that I know we are together in every timeline.
I do really love when ghost/enemies have a reason to be bad, and want to curse everyone. and I love soulmate in every timeline! So it was a 10/10.
All the song were incredible, their are in my playlist now!

This drama lives rent free in my mind!!
Actually I completed the drama the same day it ended but I've been seeing mixed reviews on DL where some are rating the drama really low. So I hope that those who haven't watched it don't feel discouraged by such reviews.Tbh, it's been a long time since I've watched a really good thai BL drama. In a year only few dramas can be the real gems while the others are the typical cringe same storyline dramas. This drama really delivers in terms of showing part of thai culture and character development. It shows something new.
Some are saying that the khemjira (Namping) was acting too much like a damsel in distress. Well, he was supposed to be like that. Mind you this was planned accordingly to how the crews and the actors wanted it. They were referring to how the character of khemjira was in the novel. Imagine a boy being cursed since he was young and not finding any solution to survive. And who comes to rescue him - Pharan (thanks to jet for introducting them). The boy was intrigued that throughout the years Pharan was the one who wanted to break the curse even if it was risky and beyond his abilities.
In my opinion, I think that all the characters were well executed. If khem wasn't portrayed as weak or that he was strong enough to fight his battle, then Pharan wouldn't be needed and the story would be flat. There wasn't one bit where I was bored or skipping scenes. I would gladly wait for the next Saturday.
In conclusion, everyone have there own opinion about the way they watch a drama. For me it was refreshing. Comparing the other dramas that I watched in 2025, this one served and I still watch some recap scenes.
Also, you should really check out the songs from the drama. They are insanely good.

Almost perfect
Darn it! It was this close to giving this series my first ever 10, but then came the ultimate confrontation and ending! They weren't badly built by any means, but they were the last straw to drop the half point of being the full ten. And in general the coherent and flowing narrative throughout the story hit some hiccups as soon as they stepped away from the original storyline.Despite that, I really liked the series. The story, cast, OST, and cinematography were all great, and I enjoyed the whole thing a lot. It felt like an international big-name company might have produced it. Amazing work, Domundi!

Anyone giving less than a 9 or MAYBE 8 is lying
of course this may not be everyone’s cup of tea but if you like character and story driven plots with lots of lore this is your show!!! also if you like the supernatural a huge yes as well. I’m huge on good characters and characters that have intertwining stories. this show is amazing and is the best BL I’ve ever watched. if you are more focused on the romance aspect or NC then this isn’t for you but if you like story WATCH. I cried so many times and it’s genuinely hard to get me to cry. I will be missing this show for a long time. Was this review helpful to you?
Undeniably Perfect.
Khemjira The Series feels like a complete 10/10 experience for me because it combines a tightly written supernatural BL story about curses, karmic fate, and past lives with a romance that grows slowly but intensely between Khem and Pharan, making every episode feel necessary and emotionally heavy instead of filler. The production and filming use rural locations, rituals, and ghost imagery to create a dark, cinematic atmosphere rooted in Thai folklore and Buddhist ideas about karma, so the world feels unique, immersive, and visually polished. The acting and chemistry, especially between Namping and Keng, carry both the horror and the love story—Pharan’s cold shaman slowly softening toward the cursed, desperate Khem makes every look, touch, and argument feel loaded, which is why so many viewers call it a masterpiece and one of the best BLs in years. On top of that, the OST ties everything together: Keng Harit’s “มนตรา (Mantra)” and other tracks use spell and prayer imagery to express the desperate desire to keep a loved one alive, so when those songs play over key scenes, it feels like the music is continuing the story of protection, sacrifice, and fate instead of just decorating it. With that combination of powerful story, strong directing, memorable ghosts, top-tier performances, and an OST that perfectly echoes the themes of love and magic, Khemjira doesn’t just work as a BL—it feels like a carefully crafted horror–romance epic that truly earns a full 10-star rating from me.Was this review helpful to you?

Best Series Of 2025
From the 1st scene to the very last scene was I captivated by the actors, storylines, visuals, and soooo much more. This series was really perfect from start to finish for me! It had Horror, Love, Comedy, Tension and Sensuality! The adult scenes was limited as that is not the premise of the show but when they happened I will say this it was the perfect amount of romance needed.I wish that Peem and Khem (Not 100% sure of their real names) must get paired in more series so we can see their versatility.
I hope they can give us a spinoff of Jet and Charn. I would love to see their story continue. If Khem and Peem is in the spinoff as support roles great.
The show ended perfectly for one not to want a season two. Most series these days end good but it makes you want to see as there is more story to tell as the plotlines wasn’t completely closed or came to a conclusion. With Khemjira definitely there was a satisfying ending and you know what would happen to the main characters.
I hope it helps!
Domundi you have outdone yourself with the cast, adaptation from the novel and screenplay.
Regards
Hansie
