Draggy drama with a lousy, rushed, ambiguous, and illogical ending
What in the world happened to the script? The storytelling was messy towards the end. Disjointed, illogical, and unnecessarily dramatic. Mental health may be a taboo topic for many people, but it is nonetheless a real issue that could have been better portrayed in this drama. As if the lazy storytelling was not bad enough, the FL's annoying and selfish behavior really grates on the nerves, and I'm surprised nobody told her that her actions do not help the ML with his recovery. The last two episodes were like watching a dumpster fire on drugs. If you're a Chen Xingxu fan, spend your time watching Love Between Lines instead - better chemistry and storytelling. Was this review helpful to you?
Terrible main characters, only continued watching for the secondary male and female leads.
The title of this review is as suggested. The male and female leads are stale and lack chemistry. The story didn't make sense towards the end; it completely lost me. I only continued watching for the secondary couple because I thought their characters were more thought out, and the story between them made sense. They should make a spin-off for the secondary male and female leads. It would be 100 times better than what the main characters achieved in 36 episodes.

Dont watch the rest ep, just stop where they get married in qin fei dream. It has a lot of kissing scene and not as boring as yamg. It's not the same as Intense love as what others say! There's no misunderstanding between main lead, they are supportive to each work, there's no persistent annoying love triangle, the OST is so good. You are the one feels like butterfly in a stomach while star in your eyes feels like you are empty inside. THE ENDING WAS CRAP BUT I THINK ITS UNFAIR TO RATE IT LOW JUST BECAUSE OF THE ENDING?! WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK! Was this review helpful to you?
Lies exposed by Truth eventually
I Love the reunited loves of the main actors especially the love of yanze for Xiao xiao. Zhi Zhi disappointed us all by driving himself into a corner of promising to be there for Xi Fei till death do us part. But the mental drugs administered to him ruined him emotionally that he resorted to lying to himself at the moment Xi Fei needed truth, love, sincerity. Yan Ze blew my expectations but with his beating up of Chen and coming to his senses. Xiao Xiao romance was a romance within a romance waiting to be reunited. All these twists and turns possibly caused the drama to weaken in its appeal to the fans, but I am pleased with the overall closing outcomes. Was this review helpful to you?
Don't waste your time. Bad acting and bad script. I can't get past 2 episodes
A Beautiful Lie is an idol melodrama with two good-looking actors and actresses who cannot act. After two episodes, the acting was so bad; the same goes for the script. I dropped this drama.Synopsis: A disaster-stricken area in southwest China welcomed a rescue medical team and volunteers, with actress Qin Fei accompanying the team. Everyone said that Qin Fei's volunteering was merely for show. Still, Qin Fei was earnestly committed and even risked her life to save others in a critical moment. During their time together day and night, the medical team leader, Xing Zhi Zhi, saw the resilience and kindness in Qin Fei's heart, deepening their mutual understanding. Qin Fei also discovered that many years ago, Xing Zhi Zhi was the young doctor who saved her life and reignited her hope during a dance competition accident. Their fate was already intertwined long ago.
My Reviews:
1. Bad script and bad acting. I dropped after 2 episodes.
2. I give it a 4.0 rating.

Same characteristics
This drama is VERY similar to another drama that the FL is in. She was also the ML falling in love with a doctor.....This drama is very cheesy, comical, and well very much an " idol drama." There is always some type of cheesy romantic moment every couple of minutes into 1 episode.... I wish the FL would step out of her comfort zone and pick different characters.... her makeup is the same in EVERY modern drama. She looks like a Barbie doll.. Her outfits are also very similar, very short shorts or form fitting outfits. The characters are all about the same as well.... if she's not some famous self- loving celebrity or just poor air head girl....
ML is little better... his characteristics ate also the same in modern dramas...

Worst end for a cdrama since "have a Crush on you (2023)"
Dont waste you time like i did, i Just watch this because i like the FL Actress, but they Killed the ML when he finally find the cure for his mental ill and past the trauma for the FL and me, and they print the worst Idea for doctor aid Like Red Cross, they are telling If you go help the poor you will have PTSD and you will be killed and give you love ones a traumaHe suffers from PTSD, he lost a kid, he was operating in the middle of a war in Sudan, after that he never operated again, and he started working in another area, he is a doctor and FL is an actress, the whole drama shows that they are in a process of healing from PTSD and she is overcoming the problems she has, but in the end he went back to Sudan to heal from PTSD, so he healed himself and operated on someone there, he called FL and she flew to Sudan to meet him in a square, when he was going to meet her, he was kidnapped and disappeared, then she found out and passed out, when she woke up she started seeing him everywhere, so now she has PTSD, and her friends and family just tell her that he is working in another country, and they call it a "beautiful lie" lol

(Luo Xiao Xiao) y Lin Xin Yi (Ke Fei Fei)
