He is giddily happy to finally be married to the woman he loves; he is determined to let her know how much he loves her and to shield her from his family's disapproval. Jin Qi is preparing for his transfer to the Capital and has sought permission from his Grandfather to have his cousin and his brother join him. In addition, Lin Xiu Wan was allowed to join the group to go to the Capital.

Jinqi truly does not value his life when he teases her about the bed clothes and sharing a bed. 🤣🫣 He loves her angry look but I don’t think he considered the trade off in greeting the elders. Lan Xiang is being judged, but it’s not due to any words said. She is determined to not say anything at all but simply bow respectfully. This did not go over well with the gma. Jinqi is making moves in the right direction when he changed his clothes to less fancy garb. He understands how important Lan Xiang’s mother is to her and that she should choose the handmade coat from her rather than the fancier one he had YuChan prepped to give her. Here YuChan understood better why not chosen after her friend explained how lovingly stitched her mother’s coat was. That was a lesson for YuChan to remember what’s most important and that LanXiang still remembered even tho lady of the house. LanXiang was touched by her friends saying she had got up before dawn to prepare the fish soup for the elders. It was obviously a lie but the attempt was made. There was much slamming of bowls as tempers rose with each refusal to speak. Jinqi pivoted as much as he could with the situation but finally came down to the bottom line that shut them up and moved things along. He was taking a post for the emperor and would be moving to the capital early before the canal froze. This was a shock to everybody but it worked out as the plans within plans started filing in. Second madam asked for her son to go so he could hopefully find a good match and of course she should accompany. Then there was pleading for XiuWan who has honestly done such a spiritual and character growth since the Du debacle. Gpa was ready to refuse but then JinQi returns with the idea of JiLan going to capital and possibly finding better treatments for his heart condition. As the realization that he’d been set up sunk in, gpa gave the go ahead to all of them considering how quiet the house would finally be. This was a major win for the Lin children. I love the quiet grace XiuRu always shows and now that she is expecting she does not flaunt it to her sister but worries for her staying out in the cold. The Marquis is told to consider them family and the single child now has multiple siblings 😁His days of peace and quiet are certainly gone now.🤣😂 Lan Xiang takes this opportunity to let JinQi know she has no intentions of leaving. She wants to be near her family and serving the elders lets her do that. I am sure JinQi has something up his sleeve but it’s not revealed yet. JiuGao 🤣😂Dude looks like a lady🤣😂🫣😱 poor Nanke got suckered into this walking around town with JiuGao looking quite pretty actually.🤣 He has plotted to appear off the wall when his mother shows up with his would be bride. They can’t leave soon enough and his mom has every right to beat him now.😂🤣 He experiments with the hairpins on his head for which would look good on YuChan. His mother is putting a major kink in his plans to marry her, but he is determined to find a way. He just does not want to pursue the decree route after seeing the aftermath between JinQi and Lan Xiang🤣😂 This time he is wiser than his master is. 😝 His mother and Madame Lin talking and here is where Lan Xiang and JinQi think the unreliable remark is towards her. As did I in the preview.🙄 But I really think she is referring to the bride candidate that ran away and comforting a fellow mom lamenting a unfilial son not listening to his mother. They can honestly sympathize with each other. Lan Xiang and the ever moving dowry boxes.🤣😂 She has made it clear she has no intentions of going but JinQi acquiesces too easily. He has some sneaky plot she is not going to like. If he’s smart he will find a way to include the parents. He even resorted to letting her know Han would also be in the capital. Here she really should find something to beat him with. I will admit to a happy smile when they are fighting over the coat her mom made for him. This I think JinQi will actually appreciate because he knows the loving effort her mom puts into everything she does. One moment of cuteness in the midst of a lot of anger and resentment. 🤣🫣

Young Master Jinqiii 🤭Defiant Lanxiang at the Lin, letting everyone knows she's not happy to be here, I like that, lol.I'm happy she chose the things her parents gave her than what Jinqi prepared. Not because she's still mas at him (as she should) but because it's more true to herself. If she had wear all those luxurious things, they would have call her phony or something, just the reaction with the soup said a lot.He really thought it through and even doesn't want her to deal with his family (himself does not seem to want to deeal with them most of the time so...), why does she refuse? I don't think it's just because of her parents, because even if she stays she can't just go to them whenever she wants anyway. I doubt she wants to get closer to the elders and try to be accepted when her ownself has yet to accept this marriage. (look at how she was zoning out thinking about what her mother told her when she was engaged to him as Shen Jialan)I'm really wondering what's her plan? Does she even has one yet? Pfff 🙄Jinqi is becoming more assertive and helping everyone discovering the real world, is Grandpa feeling his control slipping slowly away that is why he's lowkey mad or displeased? 🤔Unreliable person? To make your life miserable? Is the First Madam feeling well? Last time I check, said person was the only one you could trust in your "so amazing" household and she's the one who saved all of you! The ungratefulness, ugh 😤 P.S: Jiugao in disguise to stop his mother and wondering how to marry Yuchan without making her suffer because seeing Lanxiang's slap to Jinqi put some sense into him made me laught so hard 🤣🤣🤣

The FL's behaviour post wedding is inconsistent to someone who has already been in situations where she learns to adapt and strategize her way out. Currently she acts like she is throwing a temper tantrum, not helping her situation and out of character.

Lin Jin Qi and Lan Xiang are each in their own beds. Lin Jin Qi speaks so she can hear him: "I'm sleeping where you slept, with my head on your pillow." He adds playfully, "It's like sleeping with you." She, meanwhile, looks annoyed. In this episode, we see Lin Jin Qi being flirtatious and patient. Yet Lan Xiang remains stern; she had even hidden the fur coat her mother had sewn for Lin Jin Qi. But he spotted it, and the two ended up tugging at opposite ends of that beautiful blue coat—the very one we now know he will wear so often. During this tug-of-war, Lan Xiang gets wrapped up in the coat and ends up in Lin Jin Qi's arms. She is not pleased about it at all. (Or is she?)There is a moment where the whole family is gathered, including the elders and a very important lady of the family. They have to make an excuse for Lan Xiang's silence—a local custom. They claim Lan Xiang made the fish soup, but the grandfather shows no interest in eating it. To break the tension, Lin Jin Qi announces that he is going to the capital to assume an important post assigned by the Emperor. He invites almost the entire family to join him. He states that Lan Xiang will go with him (though she doesn't want to). He offers countless reasons with a patient, playful manner, telling her she would have to endure her family's nagging all on her own and that it would be better for her to go with him. But she remains adamant.In another scene, Xiu Wan is kneeling on the ground at the gate where the family is gathered. Her sister arrives with her husband, the Marquis. However, the three of them—and Lin Jin Qi, who soon joins them—are all friendly and understanding. Xiu Wan’s mother had suggested that the grandfather allow Xiu Wan to accompany her and her son—arguing that Xiu Wan might otherwise miss the chance to find a husband—but the grandfather had refused. However, Lin Jin Qi later entered the room and, with the backing of the Marquis and Xiu Rui, argued that it would be best for Xiu Wan to come along; the grandfather then consented.Jiu Gao disappointed his mother by going to great lengths to ensure that certain prospective brides would not want to marry him (as he intends to marry Yu Chan). His mother was deeply upset and went to confide in Madam Lin. When she remarked, "A mother's heart is with her son, but her son's heart is with a stone," one could sense Madam Lin identifying with the situation regarding her own son, Lin Jin Qi—who, by her account, had often disregarded her wishes.In the following scene, the patient Lin Jin Qi stumbles against a pillar while chasing after Lan Xiang and offers an excuse for his mother's harsh words toward her. "Lan Xiang, are you angry?" he asks. "My mother was just rambling." The episode ends there. On to Episode 29: Will Lin Jin Qi manage to convince his wife?

Jinqi is such a sly fox! But at least we can finally see him being all flirty, a bit shameless, and very attentive to Lanxiang. 😏Even if she says she won't, I think she will go with Jinqi to the capital. He is bringing way too many people along, so my guess is the whole plot is moving there. And considering that Han Liang and Zhao Xingtang will also be there, that makes even more sense. 🤨 And the capital is the place to learn who buried the Shen family (my bet is still on Jinqi) and clear the Shen family name. 🙂↕️Maybe her learning what he did for her family (that is, if it was him) will be the moment she finally lets him love her... She might even develop feelings for him before then, but will have mixed feelings about how to act on them because of what happened to the Shen family. 🤔Anyway, I am so excited to watch them together — arguing or not, doesn't matter! 🙂↕️
