She was touched that JinQi recalled her bday when even she had forgotten. He told her the story of what happened to them and how the Lin family harmed them. He admitted he had never met his betrothed but that he had never let it go how much he had been a disappointment to her and an unworthy husband. He was the one that had purchased the land and the last two servants to help tend it and keep it from becoming a wild wasteland. The marriage vows said while they bowed was quite moving. Here at last Qia Lan could remember who she was and the vow she had made for the one that gave her family a resting place. I am sure she never expected it to be JinQi. This was the point she recognized him as truly being an honorable man even with his flaws. She is now going to respond to his question when he doesn’t see them on different paths. It is also to be noted that Nanke and JiuGao were also nicely rewarded for their efforts during the rebellion. This should help both young men set up a home with the one they care about. 🥰 I am happy for all of them. Even with this most bittersweet moment for LanXiang, she could see that the one she was betrothed to was indeed a worthy man and here I think she let herself start feeling for him as one she truly cared about.🥰🌹

A well needed and deserved grave scene

Finally, their deepest secrets are coming to light! And I love the way how they are doing it. 🤗 Him taking her to the Shen family grave so she could see him for who he really is and what choices he has made in the past even if they are something he could pay with his life. Yet, he never knew how much it would mean to her... And on top of that, it's Jialan's birthday! 🥹🤧 It does feel like it's not only her birthday, but also will be the day of her rebirth... She will tell her story to Jinqi through the play and he will know who she is, and maybe then, without secrets between them anymore, they can finally find their happiness together. 🥰I really loved how they kowtowed three times to the graves and a man's voice in the background said: "First, bow to Heaven and Earth. Second, bow to the parents. Husband and wife, bow to each other." And now they are properly married. 🥹❤️This last part of the episode was everything I waited for! ☺️
