Wei is given a way out and while it goes against the grain for him, he has bowed the knee to the winning side and gathered the troops together to pledge allegiance to Duke Ying. This merit should keep him and men alive and make the Duke look good with all accounted for and serving as troops for the emperor. Nanke again to the rescue.🥳Xiao Lian was deserted by her driver and he had her accompany him on his mission to Duke Ying and then brought her home. Other than losing possessions everyone in Lin household survived. Lan Xiang and JinQi actually talking. He is finally aware of why she was angry, fearful and staying as outsider to Lin family. After their experiences with the rebellion, she cannot blame the butler for making bad choices when her job was to lead him. She is accepting her role in the Lin home and giving XiuLai the job of overseeing. The 6th Zhao daughter’s body was found and a letter of separation was on her person. There are no Zhao’s left to claim her and she has nothing to do with the Xie’s. Xiu Wan was asked first what to do but she became silent and thoughtful when she realized the one who wrote the letter was her intended. She admired his handwriting and thoughtful words as he wished his wife well as she continued her life on her own terms. Jin Qi’s admission of how he damaged LanXiang’s life with his selfishness carried weight with her. He is remorseful when he understands there was no competition between him and Han Liang. When he saw their actions through her eyes he finally truly had understanding of the impact it had in her. He saw he had not done her favors elevating her family but changed her fate to a direction she would never have considered. Well not after losing her family and name because of them. Han Liang wanted to help find LanXiang, but was interrupted by the town officials standing against the troops. Ms Dong was the one defaulted to leader and she set the terms for how troops could be integrated back into community. Before passing out she made Han promise to look after the people while she was mending. He accepted the new job and dismissed himself from the search. JiuGao is wanting YuChan to see him as a man and he is determined for her to acknowledge him. What is funny is Mr observant not noticing the two women in earshot of his discussion with YuChan.🤣😂 They are having fun at his expense. 🤣 This episode was life reorganizing after Han’s rebellion failed and finding place the current leaders. Many old enemies are now gone and truces are happening within the military. JinQi’s suggestion to Wei and Sun spared the lives of many men that would otherwise have died.

Lanxiang has finally come around and accept she is Young Madam Lin now.I really love their little heart-to-heart convo. Glad Jinqi let her know he properly realized his wrongdoing.There are almost there 🤏 to becoming a real couple.Very happy Lanxiang is letting her sister-in-law take the house in charge as she was already doing. It's like she's giving her a place in this family. ^^Also glad Xiuwan did not move back to Jinglin with her mother. Lanxiang and Jinqi will have a better influence on her. (Was she being smitten by who should have been her husband? Lol)Did I see the potential of a love line between Han Liang and that magistrate daughter? 🤔And another between Xiaolan and Nanke? 🤔(No comment on Yuchan and Jiugao living their love story in broad daylight 😆)

Finally both have a heart to heart conversation laying bare what each one realized. Also LX realized that she has never seriously taken up her role as the mistress of the house and the dire consequences it led to

Did I notice two more possible couples? Yes, I did! 🤗 Han Liang for the first time prioritizing another woman over Lanxiang says a lot. I hope he'll finally stop thinking about her (because I drew a very long sigh when he volunteered to go search for her). Nanke and Xiaolian are kind of making sense too. For some time I have wondered if the plot has any romance in store for either of them. If it does, then this is a great start for that to happen! 😊But one thing really made me wonder. If Lanxiang organizes the burial of Xia Zhao's ex-wife, could it be that the woman gets buried somewhere where everyone without relatives is? And maybe even the Shen family could be buried there? I can't think of ways for her to find her buried family or for her to reveal her true identity to Jinqi if there isn't something that would push that plot. This could be such a push.... no? 🤔
