So many things this episode. I had a nice chuckle at bratty girl having 4 teeth knocked out. Cutest smile ever.😂🤣 Gpa is making up for his selfishness first half. Having the Xu’s visit extended was a kind gesture that let her gentle passing be surrounded by both daughters and all her grandchildren.🌹😭 It was a very nice touch to include the real LanXiang. I do wish Mr Xu would have been included in the good bye since they had been together so long, Lanxiang would have still shined with him present. XiuRu🤣👏🏻 She is the mistress of shrewdness. I had misgivings about her trashing Yuan’s military career. It was a bit heartless. However, this is countered by a very greedy and opportunistic family wanting to steal what they are not entitled to. Her gift of cooking and tears on demand had her shine. 👏🏻 She and the girls will be their own subunit of the Yuan family and the greedy rest of them can live as far away as possible. It wasn’t the wisest choice for JinQi to take on the mission before treatment. I think there was some sincerity of his health failing in front of the new emperor. I am glad his request was granted to go home and heal bypassing the offered position. Han Liang. He was the lone dissenter of bringing the retired emperor back. Since the one in the throne was his personal choice I get that. But how much trouble is he in for this gesture? I loved how the two betrothed met when they had the maturity to recognize a true match and it was double the love when second madam so opposed to the match while gpa told her to cry it out and leave them be.🤣😂Gpa is winning me over this half because the first part I thought he was the biggest part of what was wrong with them. I do not excuse his abandonment of the Shens, but I do see he has learned from that and is valuing real family relationships over status and public opinion. This episode brought many full circle and this family is making great strides in the right direction. Not necessarily what I would have expected from their initial introduction to story. Well done cast and crew for a perfect episode. 🌹👏🏻

Wonderful episode with many wrap-ups, even if some were sad.

That was such a respect from Old Master Lin to Lanxiang's mother. He sensed she was not doing well and offered Lanxiang to let her stay in Zhichun Hall longer. And I am so grateful he did, because she passed away very soon after... 😢 The scene with her final moments holding her adoptive daughter's hands and sharing last bits of wisdom and joyful moments, then seeing her own daughter coming to take her... It was very touching. And I like that her husband was at peace with that, as he knows how joyful and good a life she actually had. And all of that thanks to Jialan who was a perfect daughter to them, as they were perfect parents to her... 🤧I love how Xie Zhao and Wan's story was wrapped up. And right he was — sometimes people have to wait for the right moment for their hearts to finally find each other and resonate. Their journey took sixteen years where they matured a lot, learned to be independent of their family's opinions, and realized what they wanted from life. We didn't see much of his road, but we saw a lot of Wan's. And knowing how it looks combined, I think it was done very well. 🤗🥰But why did Han Liang hesitate to kneel for the plea to return the Retired Emperor? 🤨
