Sets up the story well

This episodes starts with a murder mystery that leads us to find our male lead. His conversation with the monk sets up the central theme of the show , “causality” . The ML asks: “What happens if someone kills others because of me? Is that my cause? What if I try to stop them but more people end up getting killed? ” to answers these philosophical questions, the ML decides to enter jianghu and take matters into his own hands.

Dont waste time on this garbage

Worst written ending by terrible writers.
No respect for character arc integrity to push an extremely depressing ending

Five Stars

The plot of 'Whispers Of Fate' is super good. The screenwriter definitely has skill. The character setups and the way the plot progresses aren't rushed or sloppy at all—it's one hook after another. Clearly, it's not written like those generic ancient idol dramas from before. This screenwriter has absolutely read a ton of wuxia novels—the vibe is super strong.

Superb introduction

Gorgeous production quality, intriguing story, convincing cast. For those who love anime and mangas (not traditional C-drama xianxia) or even high end games like black myth - incredibly rendered in live action tv series. The setting and quality is way above the level of the usual (mediocre and obviously fake) fantasy c-drama setting. This one actually immerses you in the world of the characters and draws you into their universe. Many scenes feel more like a movie rather than a TV series, and warrant a rewind / pause just to admire the beauty and vision of the design. Script and storytelling is tight and fast paced with many interesting hints of what lies ahead throughout for those who enjoy piecing together puzzles when watching c-dramas. This is one drama where you'll be rewinding key dialogues just to make sure you heard correctly and didn't miss a crucial foreshadowing/hint. Acting here is spot on. All the characters from the subtle but superbly convincing portrayal by LYX to the engaging and interesting supporting characters - succeed in adding to the immersive experience. So far there isn't any jarring or annoying 'pulled out of story' moment from bad acting (unlike in some recent and concurrently airing c-dramas in similar genres where I actually like the Leads and was so looking forward to the tv shows - but alas got unwillingly jerked out of the story by half baked acting, inconsistent character interpretations/portrayals, annoying in-your-face artificial settings, and couldn't continue)

Intriguing start

Started watching this without seeing any trailer or reading the synopsis so had no expectations and what an awesome surprise! The pacing, ost, action sequences were all on point.and characters all seem pretty interesting with no annoying females. Hurray! The story is the best part though. So much mystery and intrigue surrounding the protaginist and the antagonist. I dont really know what is going on and I can't wait to find out!

Whispers Of Fate 1 EP

⭐ Highlights from the first episode:Luo Yunxi's performance: impeccable, full of nuances and emotional beauty. Her character is enigmatic, solitary, and fascinating.Visual setting: meticulous aesthetics, cool colors, and details reminiscent of ancient Chinese paintings.Music and atmosphere: soft melodies with a melancholic tone that accompany the narrative very well.Narrative pace: slow but immersive, ideal for those who enjoy stories with depth and symbolism. From the first minute, the series envelops you with a mysterious, poetic, and elegant atmosphere. The visual world it presents is refined, with ethereal landscapes, soft lighting, and an aesthetic that blends delicacy with darkness, as if imbued with an ancient legend about to awaken. From her first appearance, Luo Yunxi conveys a powerful yet silent presence. She doesn't need words to fill the screen: her gaze, her posture, and the way she breathes within the character already reveal depth, melancholy, and a restrained strength. There's something in her expression that makes it clear that her character carries secrets, responsibilities, and perhaps a wound she can't speak out loud. The episode subtly introduces the conflict, amidst symbols, prophecies, and tensions between clans. It's not a rushed introduction; on the contrary, it takes the time to build the atmosphere, introduce us to the key characters, and leave us with the feeling that something great is about to begin.
