K-Drama 
This series was 70% very good ... and 30% longwinded and frustrating.
Every time I was about to give up, something would pull me back in. I am glad I finished it ... or more surprised because the struggle was real.Cast ... Very, very good.
Characters ... They were well written. Enough information to empathize and enjoy their stories. The ML was perfectly cast and did an amazing job.
Side characters/seconds ... They were all great to watch.
Cinematography/fight scenes ... Very good.
Story/plot ... Good but not great. It was filmed in such a drawn out, and frustrating way that it made it almost painful to watch ... at times.
The story was good, and the actors did a great job, but it should have been cut to 8 episodes; that would help with pace, purposeful angst and anticipation. The comedy with the side/second characters really elevated this show. The fight scenes were very nice to watch, gritty and at times brutal but came with a lot of satisfaction.
Because of the forced frustration and drawing out of unnecessary scenes ... my rating dropped to an 8.

Appas Fighting!
I just love the found family trope. When you mix in badass fight scenes, heart-stopping cliffhangers, and sweet karmic justice served by middle-aged men in glasses, you basically struck gold.The appa trio is just adorable. They are so hilarious but no one can deny that they're there for each other, no matter what. Manger Kim's relationship with his daughter is so heartfelt, it was emotional to watch him and his friends fight to rescue her. It's just so fun to watch these unassuming, middle-aged men kick so much ass! Appas Fighting!!

Mercy for Some
Agent Kim Reactivated is at its best when it leans into comedy, found‑family chaos, and the emotional weight of Kim’s past. So Ji Sub delivers a pitch‑perfect performance as a mild‑mannered office worker hiding lethal skills, and the show shines whenever it lets him be dry, exasperated, and quietly dangerous. The emotional flashbacks to Kim’s childhood add depth, and the father‑daughter storyline provides a strong anchor even when the plot gets messy. That said, the North Korea arc drags, the missed connections feel unnecessarily outlandish, and Episode 9 veers into nonsensical territory just to force a showdown.The series delivers top‑tier comedy and action, especially in Episodes 3, 7, and 8, where Jin Cheol steals entire scenes with his dramatic flair and chaotic energy. The show’s humor — from fridge‑door destruction to blacksmith jokes mid‑fight — is consistently on point. The finale wraps up a bit too neatly, with certain characters escaping the consequences they deserved. Still, the journey is entertaining, full of heart, and driven by memorable performances.
What I liked the most though, is the old‑man bromance between So Ji Sub , Yoon Kyung Ho, and Choi Dae Hoon — their bickering, teamwork, and sheer ridiculousness elevate every episode. And newcomer Seo Su Min is genuinely excellent as Minji.

100% WORTH IT!!! PEAK FATHER + DAUGHTER "US AGAINST THE WORLD"
I literally have almost no qualms about this drama, it was everything. I love the trope where somebody's child is in trouble and their parent who had a secret life has to save them. But in an episode early on when he (Agent Kim) is searching for Ming Ji he stumbles upon a house a bunch of thugs are in where they were going to kill this old man and his daughter. She is then taken into a room that looks like a certain plant grows and put onto a table in front of some butcher looking dude. Were they organ trafficking? Probably but we don't get to see much of what comes with that because he is then caught by the police. I was also thinking what I would do if i were in Ming Ji's position and saying "No stay in the freezer!" or "No don't get into the first car you see at midnight after almost being murdered and dragged around the city for days!" Randomly she is shown in Cambodia? or Mongolia? Either way she's just there in a very fancy looking hotel reading comments or messages from old classmates online and she starts to panic. I hope she never lets any kind of bullying or mockery get to her because she has actually survived hell. So once everything is resolved and they move and change identities I feel like she should have at least maybe cut her hair or alter her appearance a bit. I would NOT be able to relax even though I'm supposed to be safe now I would just be paranoid 24/7. I only found out this was a webtoon at one of the credits shown at an episode at some point, I might check that out. BUT HOLD ON....who was that dude Kim called to destroy that guys construction company? Like it was kind of out of nowhere and I feel like he could've used that card a bit earlier but also this new job..... IS HE STILL DOING SKETCHY WORK??? It's just some big dude at a desk who challenges him to a fight, we don't get a name or even see his face. BUT OMG ALSO.... THE GOON WITH THE GRILLS COMING AND STABBING HIM ONCE HE LEFT THE HOSPITAL WAS PEAK "Here's Johnny" vibes. There's somethings that go unanswered but that's no problem with me, I just love that we got a happy ending in a drama. FINALLY, I was so stressed watching because I had no idea how they would get out of the situations they were in this ending was defiantly earned.Was this review helpful to you?
Overrated. Tries to be too many things and fails.
This was so ridiculously overrated. When it first started I was actually hopeful, because it felt like a long version of the movie Taken, which is one of my favorites. I think it's fun to watch somebody kick butt on a bunch of really bad people, when it's fully justified and you don't have to feel bad about it. But there were two big problems.First, the show took away from what could be at serious action movie, by introducing a couple of totally goofy characters. And they seemed mismatched. Agent Kim was a serious tough guy, again similar to the Liam Neeson character in taken. But then they paired him up with two goofy comic relief guys. So the show didn't know whether it was Taken or The Naked Gun.
And if that wasn't enough, instead of sticking to the relatable story of the father avenging his daughter, they crammed a ton of other complex side plots and flashback stories that weren't particularly interesting.
I survived for a bit just fast forwarding a lot, but eventually I had to drop it. Very disappointing

The show relies entirely on a tired, cliché storyline disguised as a "secret agent dad" trope, dragging out a painfully predictable plot across its episodes. The pacing is a total snooze, relying on low-stakes tension with an outcome that will leave you wanting to fall asleep instead of watching. Why do they keep inserting unfunny comedic relief into a serious story dealing with school bullying? *Agent Kim Reactivated*, based on the Korean webtoon *Manager Kim*, has an engaging premise that immediately hooked me. The story follows a former elite North Korean double agent who has left his violent past behind to live a quiet life as a single father. When his only daughter is kidnapped, however, he is forced to reactivate his old skills and hunt down those responsible.The series feels like a Korean blend of the movies Taken starring Liam Neeson and Commando starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Like Bryan Mills and John Matrix, Agent Kim is a retired elite operative whose peaceful life is shattered when his daughter is taken. What follows is a relentless rescue mission filled with brutal hand-to-hand combat, tactical action, and espionage.
What sets the series apart is that it doesn't rely solely on action. It also tackles themes such as high school bullying, human trafficking, and the political tensions between North and South Korea. These elements give the story more depth while keeping the pace exciting.
The action is intense and often over the top, but it fits the style of the original webtoon. The emotional bond between Agent Kim and his daughter gives the story its heart, making his mission feel personal rather than just another action spectacle.

Agent Kim was great before things went south
I went in with pretty high expectations as the ratings were high and the ML is "da bomb".I watched him as Kim Bon and he was really great there.
To cut to the chase, I agree with other reviewers who said that the drama should have ended at episode 8 instead of 10. I went past 8 for a bit and could not find the motivation to continue. It seemed that the show was all done already because (1) he found his lost daughter after a long and bloody game of "hide and seek" mixed with deceit, bloodshed, revenge and revelations and (2) there was the apology from the culprit's father. It seemed all done already and then, he had to go on another mission of sorts and I was lost from thereon. There was no more drive to continue despite wanting slightly to know the final outcome. What held me back from continuing was because (1) I do not like the teenaged girl. I found her quite odd in her acting. The other teenage girl was also odd. The fathers seem to be obsessed with their teenaged daughters. I get that she was lost and anyone would have lost their minds in trying to ensure her wellbeing. This I get, no issues. However, it all seems rather odd to me; (2) the north Korea part was, to me, boring. I did not like that odd and hideous-looking man whom Agent Kim had to chaperone.
Well, I decided that "enough was enough" and since it became boring to me, there was no need to continue.
Life's short.
Move on to other dramas, I guess?

Disappointing
Disappointing. For a show that’s supposed to be driven by revenge, the resolutions for both the main antagonist and his daughter felt seriously underwhelming. Yes, he loses his business, but we never see the fallout. He gets stabbed, yet we don’t get that moment of fear or realization that would make the payoff cathartic. His daughter runs away and is arrested, but once again there’s no real resolution.What frustrates me most is that her father took a situation that could’ve been handled and completely spiralled it out of control. A scene showing how his attitude destroyed both their lives would’ve added so much weight. They’re monsters, I didn’t expect them to suddenly see the error of their ways but at least show us the consequences of their downfall. Let us feel their world collapsing.
Despite that, it was still a decent watch. I love an overpowered protagonist, and the dynamic between the three leads was genuinely great. I also wish the three children had more screen time, every one of them was fantastic.

I dropped this show mostly because of its direction.
Acting was good, puns and usual Kdrama humour was also doing its work, but the repeated on and off of past and present didn't work well for this drama. It slowly started getting irritating and then at some point it felt drifting too away, so away that I completely forgot what was even the main point- saving his daughter or just plainly aura farming!?
Well it ain't even that good. Fights too were subpar considering the actors who work so hard.

Dissapointed
I am probably in the minority, but I just don't like this show. I couldn't wait for this show to release on Netflix. I loved So Ji-sub in Mercy for None and Oh, My Venus (started the Masters Sun but dropped it)What I liked about the show- the acting and fight scenes.
What I didn't like- there was too much comedic relief for my taste. I think Yoon Kyung-ho is a phenomenal actor and would have preferred if his character was less silly and more serious. I was still interested after the first two episodes, but I had doubts. The story line was very good but there are way too many flashbacks. Yes, we want to know Agent Kim's past but they way it is integrated into the show just frustrated me.
