Cute, But Not Much Else
As far as GL miniseries go, this one was cute and fun to watch (with plenty of kisses to make my heart happy). The characters were sweet and there was very little conflict, which can be nice to see. I'm not always a fan of miniseries, but this one did a good job in my opinion. But honestly, there was no real substance here. The characters were all one-note, and I found it hard to care about the relationship when it a.) moved so fast, and b.) there was nothing else in the show at all. Nothing in the characters' lives outside their relationship, and an almost comical amount of people just appearing onscreen because there was no world outside whatever was on screen at a time.
I'm glad we got this show, and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a quick, cute show to watch-- but I'm hoping that one day we will have plenty of GLs that are better than this.

A cute romance with no major conflict.
This is a type of GL series that you can watch again and again without skipping an episode, and still feel the same excitement.Due to the office romance and boss-employee relationship, it’s understandable why this drama has drawn comparisons to the GAP series. But this series stands out in its own way. This drama is about searching for love and, by an odd chance, falling in love with someone you never expected. It captures the innocence emotions of young love.
The look and feel of this drama are light, fun, and pretty straightforward. Given that it’s just 5 episodes, it’s expected to be fast-paced, but I feel like the storyline is a bit rushed. I wish it could either stretch a little longer or written it more neatly, so that the plots could develop better, maybe by delving into why Khun Weala was afraid of love. That part seems to be hanging. The conflict is resolved too quickly, leaving no room for the audience to feel the tension. But nevertheless, each episode managed to make your heart flutter. Some romantic scenes are a bit cliché, but you kind of like them, especially in GL. Considering that this is Bmine and Near’s first series, I’d say it’s not bad at all. A lot can be improved, but there's nothing much to complain. They are a cute pairing on and off screen.

Empty with a side of cute
I was really excited for this drama to start airing and I'm honestly pretty disappointed with what we ended up getting. There was so much potential there and yet...But I am still a sucker for sapphic romances and for cute girls in general and this show delivers on both.
It may be shallow and somewhat rushed, but the story does feature several such genuinely sweet moments that I couldn't quite convince myself the show wasn't worth my time.
Hopefully this is just a forerunner for better future projects - I'm looking forward to a time where I can enjoy my lesbian content without bad scripts, short runtimes, or offensive trans stereotypes (seriously, what's up with those? neither trans women nor effeminate men exist solely for comic relief in other people's stories and it is insanely harmful so many shows insist on reducing them to these poorly written running gags) ruining the experience.

Cute but a little boring
The main couple are very cute with plenty of sweet affectionate scenes and almost no conflict so it's a good show if you just want to turn your brain off for a little while. That being said, the show feels incomplete and rather boring. It hinted at the potential of being good but unfortunately it never quite achieved it. It's too short and the plot wasn't thought through enough, with characters feeling two-dimensional and the conflict feeling very forced (and resolved within ten minutes).

Cute, Quick, and Lacking Depth
GL Grading DisclaimerMy ratings are “for a GL,” focusing on the love story, chemistry, and plot. I grade on a curve, recognizing the production context and genre norms. A 10 means it fully delivers in one or more of these: undeniable chemistry, high enjoyability, or a standout storyline.
Review: Lucky My Love
This one was cute—short and sweet—but ultimately misses the mark. It’s light and low-stakes, with no real obstacles beyond “which person do I choose?” and a brief misunderstanding that, to me, revealed a red flag. Wela’s behavior exposed some toxic tendencies, including trust issues and emotional unavailability, that didn’t sit right.
The plot was basic—very no-frills. It’s never clear what they even do for work, The world-building felt flimsy. Everything fell into place a little too easily to be interesting.
The side characters were more caricatures than people—mainly there to be a sounding board for Napdao and not much else. Ray (her client/friend) was ready to swoop in the second they had a fight, which felt more comedic than dramatic. She did offer a bizarre pep talk involving clocks and stars that seemed to help, though.
Overall, Lucky My Love is cute if you’re looking for something quick and breezy, but it doesn’t have the weight or spark to stand out. Unlock My Love handled similar themes with much more depth and better character development.
Final Score: 4.5/ 10
Nice moments, but too shallow and convenient to fully land.

Lucky My Love: A light and gentle romance
The storyline of Lucky My Love fits within the familiar framework of office romantic comedies, a genre that the series manages to approach with a certain freshness. The story follows Nubdao, a young woman searching for love, torn between her boss Pheem and her new colleague Wela. Although the character development is intentionally simple and sometimes archetypal, this lightness contributes to the smoothness of the narrative and allows the focus to remain on what matters most: the emotions and subtle nuances of human relationships. With a short format of five episodes, the series avoids unnecessary length and offers an accessible and enjoyable story, perfect for a quick, light-hearted watch. On the directing side, Lucky My Love favors simplicity. This minimalism is not a flaw but rather a choice that highlights the authenticity of the interactions between characters. The modest sets and measured pacing help center attention on dialogue and glances—key elements in a romance where emotional tension often plays out in subtlety. Although some transitions may feel a bit abrupt, they don’t disrupt the overall coherence and flow. For a low-budget production, K11D House does quite well.
The performances of the actresses, Bmine and Near, are promising. While their acting can sometimes seem a bit restrained or awkward, it helps create a gentle and sincere atmosphere, far from dramatic excesses. As for the chemistry between the leads, it occasionally lacks depth, making intimate scenes less convincing. But considering these are their first major roles, this is understandable!
In sum, Lucky My Love charms with its simplicity and understated appeal. Without trying to revolutionize the genre, the series offers a light, sincere, and pleasant romance, ideal for those who appreciate stories where emotions are expressed with subtlety.

short and super worth watching
short and straight to the point, no toxicity, barely any conflicts, no men bothering the girls, the actresses are super cute, low budget but doesn’t mean its badly made, really deserves 10/10 (you’re only gonna find it boring if you don’t like cute romance stories cause it’s so short you won’t even have time to get bored lmao). Was this review helpful to you?

Was this review helpful to you?
