A GL Masterpiece
Okay so here's a paragraph of my thoughts and feelings about The Secret of Us the series. (100 percent honesty and no biased thoughts)The reason why I love and have watched this series more than 10 times in the past few months (despite not being the type to watch GL series but somehow ended up watching a few of the popular ones). The Secret of Us, in my opinion is a masterpiece!
Unlike most GL Thai shows that focuses on the sexual attraction and love scenes and barely focusing on the plot and story, TSOU is heavily focused on the bond, the struggle, the obstacles and connection the main characters have and go through. If they were to not include any love scenes between Ling Ling and Orm in the series, I believe these two women would have still crushed it with their perfect and beautiful chemistry as well as performance they have in every scene, whether in a scene of them talking, arguing or just staring at one another. I have never seen such a phenomenal acting and chemistry between GL actresses after watching a lot. In my personal opinion there are many GL actresses with great acting skills and pretty visuals, however, none would make me rewatch their series as much as I have with TSOU with me kicking my feet in the air and giggling like a little girl haha. This series has a k-drama vibe to it. Directed beautifully, the story is heartbreaking but sweet, dialogues between characters are sooooo good, well written and really eye-opening. The Side characters are nice, funny and all have a reason to be. Every sad scene made me teary and every love seen made me blush so hard although love scene are not long or too much which is so nice to see (we don't always need plus 18 content to feel happy lol at least I don't need that). The color palette used to convey the mood and tone throughout the series is a beautiful choice, very natural but also warm and soft. The music, whether the main songs/Ost of the series or the background music, all suited every scene and added depth to them.
I am well aware that there are some plot holes here and there and some events left unfinished, but the series is too short (8 episodes) and it's based on a novel, so I guess they didn't really have much time to wrap everything up so they just left some small details for us to figure out which is fine since the series is well executed.
HOWEVER, I am well aware that there's an issue to many of us which is the main characters behaving in a way that might feel or be toxic when it comes to their romance, which lead to viewers disliking the series and rating it low, but I decided to ignore that because not everything we see should be taken seriously.....such dramas and productions are mostly for fun, to enjoy your free time watching a sweet show. Thinking too deeply always ruins the fun and mood, so I advice new watchers, those who discovered the series and want to give it a try to take it with a light heart. Don't overthink what you watch and just enjoy the drama.

The Secret of Us is a Thai GL drama that truly left an impression on me. Fahlada and Earn aren’t just exes reconnecting; they are two souls who have hurt each other yet still find themselves drawn back together.What makes this series special is its ability to make every emotion feel raw and real. The chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and every glance, every touch, speaks volumes. There are moments of tenderness that make you smile, but also heartbreaking scenes that stay with you long after the episode ends. It’s a story that makes you reflect on how hard it is to let go of the past—and how brave it is to choose love again.

The Chemistry is Chemistrying
There’s something about 2024 Gls that are just chefs kiss. The acting: The acting is soo good. Not only does our main leads have this comfortable spark between each other but they both also have a good sense of emotional range. Especially Lingling and her powerful scream (also shown in the pilot).If you like some angst, this drama is surely for you.
GLs this year are truly becoming unmatched.

The Secret of Us é uma comédia de recasamento sáfica tailandesa, e como toda comédia de recasamento, sua graça vem do processo de reconquista de Ling por Orm, não de seu amor, que nunca deixou de ter, mas do seu direito de recebê-lo, desfrutá-lo, e não retê-lo ou resisti-lo, como um propriedade que se quer controlar.Desde A Megera Domada de Shakespeare até The Awful Truth de Leo MacCarey, o popular gênero começa pela separação do casal por falhas de caráter das próprias personagens, embora essa falhas sempre reproduzam as questões de ideologia e propriedade do seu meio, especialmente o machismo e a diferença de classes, fazendo do gênero muito rico na busca de alternativas concretas para esse embates, pessoal e coletivamente. The Secret of Us se encaixa na problemática familiar, já que a separação de ambas se deve a intervenção da mãe de Ling a mando de sua classe social e heteronormatividade da ideologia dominante que a serve, mas esta separação pouco ou nada tem a ver com falhas de caráter e incompatibilidades pessoais, sendo as duas representadas como vítimas de suas circunstâncias de classe e gênero.
Compreensivelmente, Dr. Fahlada (Ling) rejeita as investidas de Earn (Orm), pois após o término em que Orm declarou-se hétero, colocando para Ling uma preferência inalcançável, esta sentiu-se roubada de seu amor, não investimento, mas um roubo, do qual a ladra se quer desfrutou. É claro que o término delas se deve à intromissão da mãe de Ling, zelando pelo hospital e a respeitabilidade da família, propriedades nas quais inclui a própria filha, não querendo permitir-lhe escolher sua sexualidade ou a quem entregar seu amor.
Como em todas as comédias de recasamento, temos os concorrentes de uma pelo coração da outra e vice versa, no caso de The Secret of Us, o casamento que a heteronormatividade e capitalismo exigem na figura da matriarca, o pretendente das aparências e da propriedade para Ling, Doutor Nu, cuja existência foi peça fundamental nas mãos de sua mãe para levar Orm a terminar o relacionamento de ambas, e a concorrente cabível na sexualidade de Ling, de moral e meios questionáveis, mas bela, a atriz Rati. Pelo amor de Orm, atriz que não responde às mesmas pressões de prestígio e propriedade que a ex, Ling terá de competir com a bela e generosa atriz Ingfa, que diferentemente de Rati, consegue abrir mão do próprio desejo pela felicidade da mulher que ama, Earn.
Nos alegramos quando finalmente Ling e Orm redescobrem mais do que seu amor mútuo, que sempre tiveram, a possibilidade de manifestá-lo, primeiro uma para a outra, e posteriormente para a sociedade, inclusive coroando o processo com a tradicional cerimônia de casamento, com as bençãos da mãe desconvertida da ideologia dominante heteronormativa, classista e homofóbica.

Bien que certains éléments de l'histoire soient téléphonés, ça n'en reste pas moins belle intrigue sur un fond de toile de rupture, tromperie et d'amour véritable. Tout cela mis en valeur un acting d'une grande qualité. Le duo LingOrm fonctionne à la perfection. Nul doute que ce nouveau duo saura facilement se hisser dans le top des meilleurs binômes de GL quand on voit l'alchimie et la complicité entre les deux actrices.
Il est bon de souligner également la qualité de l'OST qui ne déçoit à aucun moment.
Un de mes coups de cœur, sans aucune hésitation.

Ahhh, perfeito!
Wow, o que é esse gl? Ameeei dms!!!Tudo nele funciona, mas o que me chamou muito a atenção foi a atuação de ambas as protagonistas! Muito, muito boas! A química delas juntas também é ótima! A história (apesar de ser simples e um pouco clichê k) é muito envolvente, você ri com elas, ama com elas, se entristece com elas... A aceitação da mãe da Fahlada foi bem construída e você chora de alegria junto, foi lindo demais. A história dos secundários também é simples e é só pra dar um brilho KKKK
Ademais, a produção foi bem feita também, trilha, fotografia, elas belíssimas em belíssimos looks, amei!
Assistam, só ponto positivo!
