One of the BEST Thai GL Series
I was left in awe after finishing this series.Definitely not a slow-burn series, considering it's only 8 episodes.
It's pretty fast-paced, the FIRST episode is the most important in a series and they did make the most out of it.
Both of the female lead's acting feels so relatable and natural, especially their crying scenes.
When they are at their most devastated, it was so heart wrenching...
Both Lada and Earn's actions in the series was understandable, not once did I feel that their actions were out of place. The way Lada treated Earn after Earn came back to find her, and Earn trying ways and means to see Lada, it was understandable. Audience would probably know what I meant after they watch this series. :')
Their attires in this series was stunning too, every time they change their attires, it was refreshing.
Finally, Ling and Orm's visuals are simply *chef's kiss* . Outstanding. Extremely pleasing to the eyes. Can't get enough of them.
I hope they would star in another GL series, with more episodes. 8 episodes are simply too short...
Lastly: You probably won't regret watching this. :)

My fab series
This is the best gl I mean this is the best series I've ever watched. I really really appreciate the writer. Since the first ep I'm in love with this series . Doc.Falada is the romantic man who really takes a good care of her naughty girl.It was funny when Lada was trying to knock out Earn from her life. Whatever Lada does only her love meets Earn. But I'm a little sad for Engfa she really did a lot for Earn. But It's good that she understood that Earn only belongs to Lada.
Their love, the chemistry, the care was very adorable. There was butterfly on my stomach whenever i saw those two loving each other.
I really love the story. Their acting deserve Oscar 😅 cuz they made the Series very much realistic. I really love the OST the background music. Tbh now I'm literally crying for the end. Hope we'll get more series of my fab couple,
LingOrm.❤️❤️

I have watched a lot Gl dramas but this is just top tier
The acting damn it was so good . I did loved every episode . Yeah it was their first drama together ,if you're looking for that sensual love scene or kiss scene it might not be for you. But overall the story line and the acting is just amazing. Their chemistry was really good . It was definitely worth waiting for it every week haha . It has really become my comfort showWas this review helpful to you?

Loved the first ep but just kept going downhill after that
Loved the first ep but the second half just ruinedit for me. The homophobic parent that disappeared for half the series then shows up to be the bad guy but changes in the end has been done to death. The sexual chemistry wasn’t there at all. The putting a side bl when there’s only 8 eps was dumb. I’m definitely not reading the novel again because the series did not live up to the novel at all. I will say the cinematography, costume design, hair and make up, osts were nice and the premise was intriguing it just didn’t stick the landing. The chemistry was good not great .

I don't know - APink
Dare I say, A GOOD GL! This series is so good in sooo many ways. The plot of it is truly amazing, it didn't felt as rushed in anyway, firmly believed it is top 10 best gl's cuz wth. I LOVE LOVE LOVEEEE P'Susie, absolute legend; she's so hilarious and truly cares for Orm as one of her own. Both are green flags, idc, fight me. It isn't a gl without the evil (grand)parent(s), so it added more to the story towards the end, and of course I loved it all, it wasn't THAT cringe, but still watchable. Live Love Laugh LingOrm, this is such a good series and I could rewatch it forever. If I lose my memories, someone play this for me like it's THAT good. Also play NewJeans for me but don't tell me the drama cuz imma cry #newjeansneverdie #bunnyWas this review helpful to you?

I'm so confused
The plot so far feels inconsistent and confusing, especially regarding Earn’s motivations. I understand that in episode one she was hurt — Lada’s mother threatened her, and she was misled into believing that Lada was seeing someone else. That’s understandable. But instead of confronting Lada with the truth, she chooses to lie about her own feelings, which makes little emotional sense. Then in episode two, when Earn learns that Lada never actually dated that guy despite his repeated advances, her reaction is even more puzzling. She suddenly decides she wants Lada back — but again, without any honesty about what really happened. Rather than clearing the air, she acts as if nothing ever went wrong, she lacks any real understanding of how her actions might have hurt Lada and starts pursuing her again relentlessly. It’s hard to root for her when her actions feel so irrational and invasive. If I were Lada, I’d honestly be considering a restraining order at this point.

Sweet Love, Evil Moms, and Heartbreak
I liked this one. The plot actually works and kept me invested throughout. It starts off on a sweet note with the leads falling in love quickly and naturally. Their chemistry is believable and engaging, and watching them come together felt sincere. What helped a lot is that we got to see the relationship bloom before the drama hit. That order really made the heavier elements more tolerable later on.
Chemistry Rating: Steamy (bordering on Cute)
The chemistry was sweet and charming, with just enough heat to keep things interesting. It does feel like they’re holding back a bit, but not enough to hurt the emotional impact or cost points. What stood out most was Lada’s emotional vulnerability—you could really feel her hurt and her love. The way she looked at Earn said everything: like she still wanted her, but knew better. Subtle, but very effective.
Now, yes—this show brings in the classic evil mama character, and it's literally the same villainous actress from Affair. She’s kind of the best and the worst. You hate her, but she plays the part so well, it’s hard not to enjoy it. Her interference didn’t feel overly frustrating, likely because the show let the romance breathe first before bringing in the chaos.
Another common GL trope shows up here too—the evil adversary who suddenly changes her mind at the end and tries to mend what she helped destroy. It was a little on the nose, and while not the worst execution, it still felt too easy.
Also frustrating? The father just sitting back and letting it all happen. His complete passivity made him feel like a non-character. The story would’ve been more dynamic if he’d at least challenged the mother or stepped in at some point. His silence wasn’t neutral—it felt like cowardice.
It definitely leans melodramatic—there’s floor-screaming, big emotional swings, and all the expected tension. But it’s not overdone to the point of losing impact.
Also, shoutout to the side characters, especially Susi (Earn’s manager). I actually laughed out loud at her scenes. Usually the “funny friend group” dynamic feels forced or annoying (GAP, I’m looking at you), but here it worked and added charm without becoming a distraction.
I'd rewatch and likely will

a neater, though not necessarily more polish gl
The Secret Of Us is a wonderful change of pace in Thai GL. With (relatively) mature leads, minimal boyfriend drama, and cleaner production values it's easy to get swept up in enjoying the drama and antics of these women's lives. An entertaining story, charismatic actresses, and a good sense of pacing carries this story above the pack in a GL-heavy year (and I hope there's many more to come). That said, the script is still relatively weak and focus on being pretty sometimes overtakes the opportunity for a more heartfelt performance. It's a step up, but I hope we don't stop here!-The Full Review-
STORY:
This story is a bit... shaky. While Earn and her devotion is quite sweet and charming, the context behind it is paper thin. Despite the break up hinging on her mother's health, we almost never see Earn interact with that mother again. Likewise, there are many other plot points (and characters) that are treated as vital to these women's lives... only to disappear the second their entertainment value is spent. It feels... sloppy. I enjoy the chance to get to know adult women with prior history and firm ambitions, but the script struggles to fill out their lives.
Additionally, I found the finale episode to be quite weak. A large piece of plot is introduced and solved in 3/4 parts, leaving the final moments to largely montage wrap up. It felt oddly rushed and empty at the same time, leaving a rather pale impression after so many weeks of enjoyment. I would have liked to see the plots more connected throughout the episodes leading up to a finale that resolves them in a more satisfying manner.
ACTING:
This one is tricky. I think Orm and Lingling are both enormously talented... but the show did not truly showcase that. The chemistry is undeniable and the character work consistent, but everything is plastered over with perfect hair, perfect make up, perfect costumes, and perfect lighting. There is no real sense that these are real women, rather than actress dolls. It severely undercut the emotional pay-off of the more dramatic scenes, despite these actresses clearly giving it their all.
PRODUCTION:
This whole show is very shiny. Everyone has is perfectly dressed with glass skin and designer clothing, living in magazine houses with sports cars. I'm not sure this was always the right move or mood for the story. It made the characters and their problems feel more distant and false, creating a detachment to the story instead of getting to explore the circumstances of these women and their love.
That said, it was a beautifully shot show that was easy to watch. The lighting was always gorgeous and romantic, creating a strong tone for the story to build off of. I especially loved Juepak's colorful and lively costuming, and the levity it brought to the story. Each prop specific to Lada and Earn was well designed--especially the puzzle, Earn's scarf, and the music box girls. Their appearances helped tie the story together.
INTIMACY:
I really enjoyed Orm and Lingling together. Despite Ch. 3 mostly offering low-heat and... poised intimacy, they brought a real affection and comfortability with each other. It was easy to believe these women were in love and desired to be near each other, and truly beautiful to see the way they gently cared for each other. While I'm always advocating to allow women to be as sexual and present as their male counterparts, this seemed like the right tone for this company and this production (as opposed to a cop out). I really enjoyed it.
In all, this was probably one of the cleanest GL productions I've seen yet, but I'm not sure it was my favorite. I would like to see some of the improvements made here mixed with the heart and passion of less-polished works. I enjoyed the lead actresses immensely and would love to see them in something again soon.

Is “The Secret of Us” the New Thai GL Classic?
As Thailand’s first-ever GL series produced by a national TV network, The Secret of Us is more than just a drama—it’s a quiet milestone.Despite its compact 8-episode format, the story hits surprisingly deep emotional notes. Based on the novel “Jai Sorn Ruk / Heart-Hidden Love” by Meenarm, the series streamlines the original plot while retaining its romantic core. Some fans might feel it skipped a few novel details, but the powerful acting more than makes up for it.
What truly stands out is the chemistry between the two leads. From the heartbreaking hospital breakup to the fairytale wedding ending, their dynamic feels raw, real, and deeply moving. Episode 4’s drunken confession scene is a fan favorite for a reason—it’s intimate, vulnerable, and beautifully scored.
The finale delivers what many GL dramas shy away from: a joyful, unapologetic celebration of queer love. The kiss, the gowns, the vows—it all feels earned.
And the best part? The lead couple is returning in a new series, Only You, premiering in mid-2025. I wrote a full review with more scene breakdowns and adaptation notes here:

Chemistry is over the top!
This is really a good serie, I read some of you value the story weak, there's something off about it, but I wouldn't say weak, maybe like it lacks of something, like it could be more articulate, not more dramatic, but like more accurate in detail maybe.. but that said it's not like it's bad, it's a really good story and a really good serie, so god job!The chemistry of the actresses is another story, it's almost unbearable! Really they are so good together that sometimes you close your eyes for cuteness!!! The chemistry between Orm and Lingling is really really something out understanding..
They are really good acting on their own, their crying moment are really touching, and the fighting was really good, I think my fav scene is when Lada gets mad and took it on the puzzle! Lingling was amazing! But I have to say that all the cast was good.
It's not easy for someone outside Asia to get used to their acting, I watch lots of kdrama, but at the beginning it was hard to get used to them, to their acting, to their comicity, it takes some time until you get used to their style, the same with Thai style.
I could say I would prefer more realistic scene about kissing, but I was lots of serie and lots of gl and I can see that it's kinda normal, so it's not like they kiss bad, on the contrary, they are so good together that their kissing scene are really good even if really "innocent" (sometimes exagetating with kissing it's not going to turn positive anyway). I can say that their "sexual" scene are really innocent but they serve anyway, because they really transmit everything. I think that the most amazing part of this serie is that LingOrm was really capable of let you feel everything, tha's why The Secret Of Us is my fav GL,and one of my fav serie in general.

Weak Plot Execution, but Strong Chemistry Delivery
The Secret of Us (2024) tells the story of Dr. Fahlada (Lingling Sirilak Kwong) and actress "Earn" Sanithada (Orm Kornnaphat Sethratanapong), who used to be a couple back in their college days. Unfortunately, bad-intentioned people got in their way, forcing Earn to break up with Fahlada (from now on referred to as Lada). Years later, fate brings them back together, but this time, Earn will have to work extra hard to win Lada back. The premise is our classic friends-to-lovers-to-exes-to-lovers-again story — except it’s sapphic, which I love and will probably never get tired of. The clichés I criticize in straight romances? You’ll never catch me criticizing them (too harshly) in LGBTQ+ stories. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t have things to say.
Like, it was fun to watch Earn try to win Lada back in the most annoying ways possible — this girl was not willing to give up. But as much as I enjoyed her non-stop efforts, the lack of communication between them was incredibly frustrating. Earn was willing to do anything to get Lada back… except explain why she broke up with her in the first place. And I get it — that couldn’t happen that fast, or there’d be no story to tell.
Which brings me to another element they used to make the plot work across eight episodes: a love triangle and a lot of jealousy games. Again, they would do anything except have a conversation. I don’t hate love triangles, especially if they’re sapphic, but I don’t love them either. And jealousy? That’s even worse for me.
Then, during episode six, we reach the moment most viewers were waiting for: Lada finally finding out why Earn broke up with her and who was behind it. And what does she do? She forgives that person way too easily. That was insane to me. Not only that, but the character responsible for the breakup suddenly has a change of heart, which felt unrealistic. If the drama had been longer, maybe we could have seen proper character development. The same goes for Earn’s attempts to win Lada back — this story would have benefited if it had more episodes, but it is what it is.
On a positive note, despite not enjoying most of the events leading up to the ending, they still got their happy ending — and honestly, what a beautiful one. It almost made me forget how they were willing to give up on their relationship if the person who broke them apart wasn’t willing to accept their love.
And that’s what truly shines in this drama — the love and the chemistry between them. They were adorable to watch, and it was easy to root for them because of how precious their love was, not only in their early stages but even after they broke up. The way Lada cried over Earn breaking up with her really hit me in the feels. But that’s all thanks to the actresses. They were amazing. The way they looked at each other, with so much love and longing? Their moments of intimacy? It was all so beautifully portrayed. The way they cried when they fought or were facing something that was about to ruin their relationship? It was painful, yet still beautiful. Orm and Lingling knew exactly what they were doing.
I don’t have much to say about the supporting cast — maybe because I’m still not that familiar with Thai dramas. But I do want to highlight Apasiri Nitibhon’s performance as Lada’s cruel mother. She did an incredible job portraying her role.
Anada Prakobkit (Engfah) was great in her role as well, and I see her character as more than just a tool for the love triangle. On the other hand, Ratee (Sureeyares Yakares) was mostly an annoying character — but I have to give props to the actress. While her performance wasn’t extraordinary, she did a good job portraying the role. I should probably talk more about other characters and actors, but as I mentioned, I’m still getting used to the acting style and humor in Thai dramas. That said, there’s no denying that the lead actresses stood out in the best way possible and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more of Orm and Lingling in the future.
For me, the direction was really good, and the production was just as impressive. The soundtrack was cute and matched the vibe of the series. My favorite is definitely the opening, which has a softer and more emotional feel. I feel things in my heart every time I hear it.
Overall, I think The Secret of Us is a good series. While some plot devices didn’t fully align with my personal taste, I still believe they might work well for others. The only thing that really didn’t sit right with me was the antagonist’s redemption arc — I would give anything for it to not be there. However, the chemistry between the lead actresses is surreal. I loved every minute of them together, which gives the series some rewatch value for me. And without a doubt, I’ll always be grateful that it introduced me to the stunning duo that LingOrm are.
