Simple, cute and silly bl
If you like cozy, comfy bl's without to much drama this should be your thing!! Even better, both male leads are complete green flags and everything is about consent. I loved their relationship. Personally, one of my favourite genre's in Bl is a 'forgeiner' or a 'tourist' getting to know a small village. I love how Tongrak acted like the rich guy in the beginning and slowly started to change.AND THE LESBIANS, so cute, not a very good story but they do make the story so fun!

Small-town > Big-city rom-com with a twist
This was… entertaining, for lack of a better word. The trope of “buying affection with money” wasn’t my favourite – I didn’t particularly like how Rak and Mut started their relationship, even though I understand the reasons behind it for both characters. Additionally, I felt the continuation of their relationship after they returned to the mainland lacked depth.
Fort and Peat have incredible chemistry, which really carries the show, but I felt the plot was somewhat lacking. There was no real sense of direction; it seemed like the characters were just going through the motions without a clear goal in sight. As a result, some intense scenes fell flat for me because I kept asking myself, “What’s the point of this?”
Vie and Muk were fun to watch, but I was disappointed by their limited development. Their romance was cute and held a lot of potential, but it ended up being so secondary that it felt almost forgotten.
The BossNoel cameo made me giggle. I wish they had performed more as themselves rather than as characters, but I was still happy to see them.
Overall, while this wasn’t the best I’ve ever watched, it wasn’t bad either. If you enjoy intimate scenes, red-flag characters, and trauma-based romance, then you might find this drama very enjoyable. However, if you’re looking for strong plotlines or romance, you might be disappointed.

Ok series with a few flaws
Mame always writes the most cliché and toxic stories, this is no different. I went into it thinking I would not like it because I often just roll my eyes at the stories Mame creates. That said, I enjoyed the series for the most part. The guys are cute, and I thought they did a good job acting. I think Fort and Peat saved this series. Their chemistry is great, they act like a real couple. Oh and props to the actress who played Meena as well. That girl, despite being so young, does an excellent job. I think she has a bright future in acting.
There were a couple things that let this series down in my opinion:
* The girls story seemed like mostly filler, and didn't add much value to the series. Their parts either needed to have more depth to expand and explore their relationship, or less depth so they are truly supporting characters. The dynamic here is strange, it almost feels like harassment at times.
* I question the Dad's storyline and how that played out. Without spoiling too much, I can't see how Dad was allowed to get to this point without someone calling the police or involving the authorities in some way. Beyond that, the resolution to his storyline was odd. Like they just threaten to take away the money, and he never bothers anyone again? Why not do that 10 years ago?

Wasted potential
This feels like a whole lot of wasted potential.
The first 3 episodes were pretty solid. The idea of the writer going away to complete a novel was a good idea. He has good reasons to fear love and slowly falls in love with the island boy....
So why did they end up in the city? Once Mut goes to the city all his personality traits magically disappear and hes nothing more than a live in babysitter.
The actor that plays Rak is basically playing the same character as he did previously in his other BL. Sky/Rak are both messed up and their lover spends all their time trying to fix them.
We also never get a reason why Mut is in love with Rak. Rak spends most of the 2 weeks being awful to him and then he leaves his home with nothing but the clothes on his back to be this mans live in sex doll. It makes no sense why he is so devoted to Rak.
I actually really liked the idea behind Raks trauma and would have liked to see it being explored in a different show. His mother marrying a man she basically paid and suffered mentally. His sister being abandoned. His father being nothing more than a loser who uses people and is incredibly selfish. I even liked the moment when Rak looked at his dad and realized how pathetic he was.
I enjoyed the moments when he was tearing apart his cousin as well. It showed a lot about his behavior and the type of people he was around constantly. Like if this bitch was my cousin no wonder you dont let people close to you. It showed why he is the way he is instead of him just explaining it with sad music playing in the background.
Those were good ideas but it also seemed like they were trying to tell 2 stories at the same time.
The light hearted island love story and the darker story involving his family. Muts family is completely cut out of the story by this point.
I honestly think that if they comitted to one story we'd have a really good show. Either go with light hearted island love story and keep them on the island for majority of the story or tell the slightly darker story about a rich messed up family.
Also the GL side plot.... i hated it. I enjoyed Vie as Raks friend but shes a huge red flag. She treated the assistant like a slave and that girl was annoying with her overacting. When she wasnt screeching i liked her. She was kind and sweet and all she wanted to do was her job which Vie made almost impossible with her ridiculous requests. I wouldnt have dated her. She enjoyed causing that girl pain, confusing her, messing with her feelings and not being serious. I would never have believed her if she said she seriously liked me.

I love FortPeat so so much but…
ts was actually so boring 😭why’d it take me 16 days to watch a 11 episode bl series?!? (counting the special ep) MIND YOU I HAD TO PUT THIS IN 2X SPEED 60% OF THE TIME CUZ I COULDNT ENDURE IT NO MORE BUT I DIDNT WANNA DROP CUZ I WANTED TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED AND CUZ I LOVE FORT AND PEATIdk what it was about it, maybe it was the scenes that dragged on forever or the unbearable side couple or the boring ass family drama scenes but yeah I think I hated so much about this series 💔
So I love my GL and all but Vie and Mook were SOOOOO annoying and boring asf like there was no point of their story and this would’ve been better if they just didn’t end up together cuz genuinely how tf did they even end up together bruh Mook was dead set on fricken idek yall and then boom all of a sudden they’re together ? like how does that make sense like maybe spend less time having Vie boss Mook around and instead spend more time actually giving them a fucking story PMO PMO PMO PMO PMO their stories could’ve been done 10x better I blame whoever wrote ts for that
The whole Raks sister/dad/family drama was boring but sad and I get that it’s important but yeah I watched that in 1.5X speed unfortunately cuz I couldn’t stand that dumbass sister and that fuckass dad 🙄🙄🙄 I did enjoy all the scenes with the niece and Rak and Mut tho, that was cute
Or maybe it’s because I’ve never been one to like beach scenes or beaches in general but like it’s literally in the title so I knew there’d be 90% beach scenes so that cant be it, because I quite enjoyed the beach scenes too tbh, the series was lowkey beautiful in that sense. So that’s a good thing
I do really like Rak and Mut as characters tho, theyre both amazing characters and I love them together, MUT IS LITERALLY THE BEST AND I LOVED RAKS SASSY ATTITUDE HE LOWKEY RUDE ASF THO BUT I GET IT I GET IT
MIT SWEET ASF PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS
The fricken nc scenes though oml FortPeat sis asf cuz those were too good also FortPeat kiss the best in the whole Thai bl industry, they’re practically eating each other fr
so yeah UPS and DOWNS to this series and if I were to watch it again, I’d prob skip half of it, but I’m glad I watched it cuz it was lowkey good in some parts not so much in others
I enjoyed the experience and just love FortPeat so much so yeah

I Wanted to SEE More Love, Less Trauma
So I love complicated stories don't get me wrong. I want a well-versed story, with relatable-ish characters. I really enjoy Peat and Fort overall, I think their chemistry is amazing. I also think their previous series is far superior to this, adding more "spice" doesn't change that fact. Though both series include trauma with Peat's character, whereas this show it felt forced and rushed, "Love in the air" had half the time and managed to do the story more justice than this ones. The plot also ended and it was only for the favor of the special episode. Without that special episode I was sat there on the couch like...that can't be it? It made zero sense. This was watchable but I want to see so much more with these actors, and not just trauma dump. Was this review helpful to you?
Simply don't watch it
After watching LITA, I was interested in FortPeat so searched for the series. Though I read reviews before watching the series but still wasted my time watching it. The series was quite boring tbh, I struggled to finish it but my love for fortpeat keep me going 😂😂. Anyway pls believe all of those bad reviews like one dimensional character, boring storyline, out of no where problem solver mom, that useless dad, more useless cousin, over reacting secretary and boring gl plot. Only interesting thing is fort with his handsome face and mascular body🤩.Was this review helpful to you?
PLOT: Rak, a wealthy, refined, elegant, and sophisticated young man and BL writer, is sent to an island for two weeks to write his novel. There he meets Mut, handsome, seductive, and rough. They begin a (very sexual) relationship, but Rak (because his mother always had difficult relationships with men) doesn't believe in love. However, he becomes hooked and takes Mut back to Bangkok with him.
+++ I really like these actors (Peat and Fort). They are very talented, cute, and have great chemistry. They play different characters here than in "Love in the Air," although Peat is still the most traumatized (but he's so good when he cries!). He's very cute here in his very feminine little shorts. Fort is also very convincing as an uneducated but resourceful islander. Kudos!
+++ I really love the character of Vie, the best friend in the world!
Nothing to report on the OSTs.
Nothing to report on the technical aspects, well done.
BUT
### I'm starting to find Mame's stories unbearable. The characters are unrealistic, ring false, and lack psychological consistency.
The women in particular (the assistant, the cousin) are stupid, slow, clumsy, and unbearable.
### The GL segment helps distance Vie from the Rak/Mut relationship, but it didn't need to take up so much screen time (because we're really wondering what Vie sees in the assistant :).
### Regarding the father's behavior, we wonder why the problem wasn't resolved sooner!!
=> A pointless series except for the Peat/Fort interactions.
************************************************

TongrakMahasumut...
First i'd like to say the actresses all did a great job especially little Meena but my patience wore thin with the GL part of this story; The assistant, Mook came off as whiny and annoying and Vie annoyed me to with not telling her how she felt instead of bossing her around in disguise for wanting her around. I kept wanting to go back to the boys and in the end anyways nothing really happened with the girls? Idk I guess the Special that I have yet to see will show something but for how long the finale was, something should've happened.Anyways onto my babies...
Tongrak poor baby, I wanted to hug him and hold him and tell him everything would be alright up till the finale; where I wanted to knock his head a little. Peat did such a great job with the sassiness of the character, which is it to be expected he is our Sky after all. Also really felt the pain and panic within Tongrak as well. He allowed me to relate with the character with his feelings of dread, of not wanting to be hurt, of just wanting to be loved and I know people aren't a fan of Peat's crying but it really tugged at my heart strings. The drama with his Disney villain dad ended a little too quickly in my opinion, I wanted to dig in more to what happened with the uncle and also the drama with the annoying jealous cousin I could've done without; Though I did enjoy that scene in the dressing room.
Mahasumut... as their names together suggests, I in fact did and do love him and not just because Fort played him, though I can't think of anyone more perfect for the role. His persistent, goofy and loving nature, I loved it all. I do wish we dug more into his trauma like a flashback or something like we did for Tongrak but even still i related heavy with him and his need to prove himself that he could make something of himself, especially at such a young age. As Fort does, he tore at my heart with his tears once again so my heart was feeling heavy for Mut at parts and I loved it. Also his relationship with Meena made me wish we'd seen more scenes with her and Tongrak doing family stuff.
TongrakMahasumut...the chemistry...had me squealing like a little school girl. ( I became Meena whenever they were together xD) As to be expected with FortPeat though, they never disappoint me with their chemistry on and off camera. In the intimacy aspect, they really turned up their game; had me blushing so bad from their scenes that I felt like I was totally interrupting something or shouldn't have been watching.
Rewatchability? Overall, despite the lackluster side GL story and annoying subplot with the cousin; I'd rewatch it, mainly for FortPeat.

Slow burn with a side of stress
Love Sea is a pretty average series for me, to be honest. What really got on my nerves was Rak’s character, haha! He’s just so cold and serious all the time. It felt like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, and despite being a successful, wealthy writer, he never seemed genuinely happy.Watching the series actually felt kind of stressful. It gives me headaches. I get that his behavior stems from childhood trauma and being brainwashed by his father, but come on he’s a grown man now. At some point, you gotta stand up for yourself.
The romance was a major slow burn, like really slow. Even with Mut putting in so much effort to connect with him, Rak barely responded or he responded negatively. It got frustrating after a while. A lot of intimates scenes that makes zero sense. It is understandable if the story is about FWB but hey they tagged it as romance.
The secretary she is very annoying, I can't tolerate her. The GL story is not exciting at all, no chemistry between them. Girls' acting was terrible. I feel like the director or writer just gave them a screen time to make the series lengthy.
That said, I’ve got to give props to the visuals, the beach setting was absolutely stunning. At least it was nice to look at, even if the story felt heavy.
