Bossnoeul being in the series as their self
I really enjoyed this series considering it has Fort & Pete plus it has Boss & Noeul in this series, I recommend it for all Asian tv series lovers. I love the part where Pete character pours water on his cousin because it shows how powerful and confident he is, and where Pete character is stubborn to Fort character but secretly loves him. It’s very amazing I definitely recommend it, if you have nothing else to watch, you can watch this series it only has few episodes, it’s really entertaining. Was this review helpful to you?

Meh
Rated= 3~ 13/50 ~ 2.6RPG Scene // Goblin's Swamp with only a rusty dagger. Forget it. Just Run.
I was swinging between boredom and wondering if this slightly racist.
Wealthy 'pale' Bangkok writer is tricked into going to a southern island as inspiration for his novel and conveniently doesn't believe in love because of family trauma, but continues to try and convince himself that the islander he's sleeping with is just a sugar baby.
The first 3 episodes reminded me of those tacky holiday romance novels I used to read as a teen and think that's what romance was. Then by ep 4 we switch to a contractual agreement because Rak doesn't believe in love, despite agreeing to stay on the island previously. There's also a lesbian side plot trying to happen but the assistant is just too much of a nerve grating character for me to feel anything for. The whole 'he needs to be tested for std's but I shouldn't be hearing about my boss sex life' may have made me wince like I had stubbed a toe.
Half way through 5 I realised that I don't care about any of the characters and I just wanted to join in on the chat in the BL thread.
Meh. I'll move on. It's not my kind of plot and none of the characters are appealing.

why finish? it didn't impress me past the first few episodes
this series unfortunately fell into a ditch after leaving the island. at least on the island, there was actual desire, exploration, and character development. Rak actually opened his heart to not only the island, but the people in it. it wasn't the best change-of-heart moment, but at least it was something.the second these characters get to the city - i have no idea what i'm supposed to think. Rak puts an agreement forbidding love - sure...?
Mahasamut states his undying love for Rak - okay...?so, what's the agreement for then?
i had really high hopes for this couple from love in the air. i was obsessed with it, and when i saw the trailer for this series drop, i was pretty stoked.
unfortunately, good acting can't outshine a bad plot, and even in this case, Rak as a character just annoyed the shit out of me. he's super cold-hearted, but he's warming up to Mahasamut! oh wait, but now Rak won't talk to him... but then they have sex! now they're inseparable!
they portray the addiction of sex and the desire to be lusted after really poorly. i understand Rak's upbringing was bad, but i don't actually understand why he falls into the exact same trap, and the series never tries to explain it.
also, what even was the side couple? the impression that Vivi's flirting is explicit to Muk was really poor, and suddenly, after bullying the shit out of her, Vivi assumes they can live happily ever after. it was forced, and i never actually found myself rooting for them.
if this series was entirely set up around the island, i think i could get behind it. i continued my high hopes for a while, until i couldn't even stand to finish
it. unfortunately, nothing is motivating me to go back, and i definitely won't anytime soon.

Disappointed
Honestly I'm disappointed but not shocked, I didn't love the "Love In The Air" plot, honestly I never understood the hype for it, yes the NC scenes were good for both "Love In The Air" and "Love Sea" but both also lack plot imo, "Love In The Air" has a bit of a better plot than this one but God this one got boring fast, it took me a while to finish and honestly I just couldn't go through with it all and skipped the last 2 episodes and the special episode, all seemed boring as hell. After episode 1-2 everything goes downhill, I hate when characters have these backstories that are so annoying and the story just never goes well with it, it was just so so so so so so boring. The NC can't save this one. I'm rating it a 7 cause honestly even after episode 2 I was kind of hooked with the idea we would get something from the WLW story, but even that one was boring and weird. Also the quality was good, and other aspects of it were good so I'll make my rating higher but if it was just according to the plot, I would rate this a solid 6-6.5. Hoping for better, shorter BL series from them in the future. Was this review helpful to you?

10/10 for the couple!
Oh my god, Tongrak Mahasamut is my new favorite couple now! Their chemistry is so chemistry-ing, I love them from the moment they meet! I really love the island episodes until they change to BKK.What I don't like:
- The family drama is unnecessarily dramatic. It feels like watching Lakorn when I'm here for the BOYS LOVE part, literally
- Side GL storyline is quite frustrating to watch as it's wishy washy
- I mainly skipped those parts above
What I like
-Couple chemistry, island setting, and ending
I love how they make a reference of meaning of number 0f 8 towards the end. Boy, I didn't expect it to get emotional but it's so beautifully touching towards the end.
While it's dramatic, but at least the situation is resolved. I like how Tongrak actually sees how he has been deceived by his father and he reunited with his mother- putting a solution to the messy family dynamic. This is important, otherwise we just end up with dramatic show for sake of drama.
While the couple story doesn't start as what most would call "healthy", it definitely ends up healthy which is again, important point. In fact, Rak story is very relatable and common IRL- people who shut down their heart but Mame did beautiful job in breaking down why and putting a solution to it. Very well done in wrapping up all these- probably one of her best story- I can see the storyline matures too
What I super like
The super touching and beautiful last episode as well as all our NC scenes!
Our boys KNOW how to kiss and eat each other up. One of the best NC in BLs- one that's hot yet you can feel the love- I love it. It's not a trashy kind of NC, it's just 2 men truly loving and going crazy over each other
I'm gonna miss the couple already!!!

Not as toxic as the other of MAME works...
Sky x Prapai aka Peat x Fort, of course here I come... Haha...Much like any other MAME works, this also works for me... Haha... I like it. And quite surprising, this time the relationship between the main couple is not as toxic as the other... Of course, sometimes there is no drama without toxicity & sometimes we just crave for it... Haha.... But enough about the introduction, let's just dive into the drama...
Tongrak is a writer of popular romance novels, forced to go to the island by his friend. On the island he met Mahasamut, the local tour guide guy, who loved teasing him... Of course right out of the bat, they start bickering, because Mahasamut thinks Tongrak is just an arrogant city guy & Tongrak pissed cause Mahasamut likes to tease him.
But of course they’re still our main couple. So one thing leads to another, they start their one night stand. And it turns out Tongrak just can’t get enough of Mahasamut, and vice versa. In the end, when Tongrak vacation days ran out Mahasamut just hopped to the ship that brought them to Bangkok.
In Bangkok, Mahasamut has to get the stamp approval from Tongrak inner circle, aka his assistant Vivi & Khaimuk (Mook), Tongrak best friend. And later on, we also get introduced to Tongrak’s family, aka Tongrak’s niece; Meena, Tongrak’s cousin; Prin & Tongrak dad; Jak. Meena is a cute little girl, but Prin & Jak is a whole toxicity itself…
Prin, with her jealousy, tries to bring all the misfortune to Tongrak. And Jak with his own scheme also tries to ruin Tongrak & Mahasamut. So, what will happen to Tongrak & Mahasamut in the end…?
That’s pretty much the story without giving too much clue about what happened… Now let’s talk about what I like & don’t like.
What I like:
+ Peat x Fort. Oh I love their chemistry…
+ The cute Meena
+ Loyal Vivi & Mook
Overall this is quite a good story to tell. I like it.
Below I'll write about what I don’t like, but that also means SPOILER ALERT!!! So read it at your own risk!!!
==================================================
SPOILER ALERT!!!
==================================================
What I don’t like:
- The half baked story. If not about Tongrak & Mahasamut, all the other stories feel like half baked. Like the story about Vivi & Mook. What happened to their relationship in the end…? Or like why Prin is so f*cking jealous of Tongrak…? See half baked….
- I need more background about Jak’s abuse toward both of his children, until Tongrak, his sister, and even Meena are so afraid of him.
- The most unfortunate is Vivi & Mook story. I really need closure for their relationship.

are we all here for the soft core?
This drama is what summer calls for... hot and uncomplicated. Well, it might aspire to look "complicated" by the traumas and supposed depth of characters, but for regular drama-watchers these are just the go-to cliches to make it spicier...So here we have two flirtatious guys who meet in the gorgeous setting of Thai beaches and develop a love interest with sensual scenes. Everybody is well-off, good-looking, single & willing. The acting is exaggerated but i guess the entire drama is not to be taken seriously. The ML is great at playing a sex-bomb guy.
Joking abt buying a person merely for s*x would be way funnier if Thailand hadnt been reputed as a s*x destination.
The sense of fashion is also weird, the skinny guy looks like a male pimp from the suburbs of Paris in the 70's.
Whoever gives this a 10 is not thinking with his/her mind lol.

Enough of that shy high-school rubbish
Having gone through around 30 BL-s: Love Sea is one of the few that I'd want to rewatch someday. I'm just too old for that high-school romance, but Love Sea is about a mature romance and it delivers exactly that. By now FortPeat is my solid favourite BL couple, cause I just love them both in unapologetically hot roles. The humour in the series is lovely! If a show doesn't have a couple of laugh-out-loud moments, then it's no good. And all these asian bl dramas have a couple of cringe cliché moments as does this show. But altogether an extremely enjoyable show. Thanks to MAME and FortPeat for this gem.
P.S. the female couple did nothing for me though, they could've just been omitted.

My favorite BL yet!
I’ve never bothered to write a review before, but had to for this one. I watched Love In The Air and enjoyed it, so decided to watch this for another dose of FortPeat. Love Sea did not disappoint! Episode 2 hooked me with plenty of spice (it gets much more story driven after that), and Mut’s dedication to getting Rak to love him kept me around. The story was predictable (in a good way) and it felt just the right length. I’m not much of a re-watcher, but I don’t think that will be the case with this one.Was this review helpful to you?
Despite Rak being afraid/not believing in love, he fell for Mut quickly. He just didn't realize it.
I loved watching Mut slowly crawl his way into Rak's 'cold-dead-damaged' heart. Mut is so damn green flag coded, there's no debate.

an absolute must-watch and proof that Thai BL continues to reach new heights
Love Sea completely swept me away. From the very first episode, the chemistry between the leads felt effortless and magnetic — the kind that doesn’t need loud declarations to convince you. Every glance, every quiet moment, every argument carried weight. Mahasamut especially? Absolutely everything. He might just be one of the greenest flags in BL — steady, patient, emotionally aware, and deeply sincere in a way that makes your heart ache in the best way.One of my favorite moments was when Mahasamut confessed his love to Tongrak. The vulnerability in that scene, paired with Tongrak’s immediate panic, felt painfully real. It wasn’t dramatic for the sake of drama — it was raw emotion colliding with fear. That push and pull between certainty and hesitation gave their relationship such depth. The storytelling didn’t rush their growth; it allowed the emotional tension to breathe, and that’s what made it so powerful.
Visually, this series is stunning. The scenery and cinematography elevate everything — the sea isn’t just a backdrop, it feels symbolic of the characters’ emotional tides. The atmosphere pulls you in and refuses to let go. Even quiet scenes feel full because of how beautifully everything is framed.
The ending was near perfect for the main couple — satisfying, heartfelt, and earned. My only slight frustration is being left hanging with the side couple. Mook and Vie were… chaotic, to put it kindly. Their storyline felt messy and unresolved compared to the emotional polish of the leads. Still, that small complaint doesn’t take away from how strong the overall experience was. Love Sea delivered romance, depth, and stunning visuals — and it absolutely deserves its 9.5.

It's a good drama for the 1st time the comment section was wrong
So yep i kept this on my watch list for a long time cz of the bad reviews like "bad plot", "too boring" and what not and picked this up when i had nothing to watch and was genuinely surprised!!! IT WAS SOO GOOD!!! it's more on the realistic side and not all pink and roses so i guess thats the reason people didn't like it? And also cz just like "love in the air" fort is the healer and pete is the hurt one here? That's what I'd assume. The plot was amazing. Yes it was on the serious side but as someone who doesn't like serious dramas this one kept me hooked and i finished it in a day😅. The acting, story, visuals, music everything about this was good. Yes you might find some similar (just a little bit like 5%) with love in the air but nah this is a different plot totally. Here fort is not rich and not someone who can fix everything for pete.
People calling pete's character annoying. You would only understand if you went through something similar. You can't get over things just cz prince charming showed up. He was trying his best and you would notice it if you watched. I'd just suggest if you liked their story in "love in the air" please watch this. You'll like it but don't expect the romcom vibes you got from BossNoeul's pair here. Watch it only if you liked FortPete's story there and if you're into light stuffs this is not for you. I don't understand when people watch dramas which are not their style and rate it low. There's a difference between not being someone's type and not being a good drama.
Anyways don't listen to the comments and go watch it!!!
