BEST CHEMISTRY COUPLE MODERN DRAMA EVER
This drama deserves overall 10.0 ratings for the chemistry & acting alone. Now that it's over I feel lifeless. Wished there were more episodes. The only minus part of drama is that the editing feels messy they literally cut scenes here and there without letting it finsh the scene. Specifically the last few episodes. No wonder they reduced one episode. They really chopped scenes and put it together. Other than that everything was perfect .Still this drama holds special place in my heart. The best drama of the year 2025 and I have a feeling this drama will live in my mind for a very long time. Was this review helpful to you?

Weird premise and pretty cringy.
Where do I start….Okay I’m all for a good childhood sweetheart trope but these two literally grew up together. He took care of her as a baby (probably even changed a few diapers) so it’s pretty weird to me. It would’ve been better if the writers made it into a slow burn romance with him realizing later on that he loves her romantically. But noooo, this guy was yearning for her all these years (he even carries a keychain around stating that he’s yearning for her). It just doesn’t make sense.Acting wise I think the ML is giving his all. He’s got the smolder down and it’s electrifying but Esther Yu - WHYYY. I know a lot of people think her baby voice and childlike expressions are cute but to me, it seems like she’s trying too hard to keep up with this facade. I think someone like Sun Zhenni or Lu Yu Xiao who are naturally cute would’ve been a better choice to cast.
I am on episode 16 and trying to hold on because of the ML and Mike Angelo (he’s fun to watch).
Also, why is the ML always so sweaty while everyone looks cool as a cucumber??

WORTH WATCHING
I’m so glad they did this series! Both esther yu and heyu did a really good job portraying their characters. I’ve read the novel and was so excited and at the same time worried about it being made into a series BUT they really did justice to the novel! Esther’s acting is really incredible for me! She has been continuously improving everytime she had a new series and I can’t wait for more of her projects! I really love the chemistry between esther and heyu and because of this series, i’m hoping for them to date eveb in real life too! I would also like to appreciate the cinematography of this series. Every scene can really be your new wallpaper because of how beautiful it is! Overall, I am so Satisfied and will recommend this to everyone who would like to watch action with lots and lots of kisses! I guess time for me to rewatch! Was this review helpful to you?

Speed and Love: More Than What Meets the Eye
I have been watching C-dramas for a long time, but this is the first time I feel compelled to leave a review, because Speed and Love truly deserves a strong and fair rating. Many viewers were probably drawn in by the so-called “intimate” scenes, but beyond that surface appeal, this drama offers so much more. There are several aspects worth appreciating, especially its emotional depth, storytelling, and overall production quality.Admittedly, the plot may not be to everyone’s taste, as it involves the two main leads growing up like brother and sister before eventually developing romantic feelings. I honestly don’t know how realistic this is in real life, but that is precisely the point of dramas. They are fictional stories. It is unfair to project personal discomfort onto the actors, who are simply fulfilling the roles required by the script. Hate should never be directed at them for that reason. Regardless of this fact, the drama adaptation was successful in not focusing heavily on the "adopted" sibling relationship and instead drawing out the emotions behind it, such as how they became each other’s place of solace and source of strength and inspiration. The complexities of family relationships are portrayed with sensitivity, and it was satisfying to see proper closure, particularly with Mu Mu’s parents eventually finding happiness in their own lives.
Another strong point of the drama is the sense of friendship among the cast. Even the antagonists are given room for growth, with remorse shown toward the end. Jin Zhao’s journey, in particular, was rewarding to watch. His persistence ultimately leads to his vindication, making his arc emotionally fulfilling. As for the romance, the love between Jin Zhao and Mu Mu is sincere, deep, and unconditional. It is touching in many ways, and I believe this is why the drama resonates with so many viewers. Many of us have felt or hoped for that kind of love. The way Jin Zhao takes care of Mu Mu reflects what many people wish for in a partner. You are truly lucky if you have someone like that in real life, but sometimes reality may not be that kind.
From a production standpoint, Speed and Love stands out as a top-tier drama. The racing scenes were executed exceptionally well, and the cinematic effects elevated the overall viewing experience. One of the most striking aspects of the cinematography is its dynamic use of motion and camera movement. Racing sequences feature tracking shots, low-angle perspectives, and rapid cuts that effectively convey adrenaline, urgency, and competitiveness. The camera mirrors the speed and intensity of the characters’ lives, allowing viewers to experience speed not just as a theme, but as a physical sensation. The attention to detail is evident throughout, and the direction makes the emotional flow of the story easy to follow while adding depth to the characters’ journeys.
In terms of acting, I believe they chose the perfect cast for each role. He Yu undoubtedly gained a breakthrough role with Jin Zhao, and for good reason as he truly embodied the character. I can understand why the scriptwriter and director chose him for this role, and we should be grateful to them for discovering such a talented actor. His serious gaze, restrained reactions, and steady presence made Jin Zhao feel like someone carrying immense pressure while rarely expressing it aloud. This subtlety made his emotional development especially satisfying to watch. We should be grateful that this role introduced us to such a talented actor.
Esther Yu, as always, brings her signature bubbly energy to Mu Mu. While some viewers criticize her voice or her “over-the-top” acting style, I see this as part of her established identity as an actress. Whether one appreciates her style or not is a matter of personal preference, but her hard work and commitment to the role should be acknowledged. She handled both lighthearted and emotionally intense scenes well, showing Mu Mu’s resilience and inner strength beneath her cheerful exterior.
The only part that left me feeling a bit disappointed is how they cut a lot of wonderful scenes, especially the much-anticipated wedding at the end. As a viewer who was emotionally invested in the characters, it felt disappointing not to see a fuller conclusion to their journey. Those missing scenes could have provided stronger emotional closure and a more satisfying payoff after everything the characters had been through, making the ending feel truly complete and rewarding.
Speed and Love is loved by many overseas fans for numerous reasons, and it should not be dismissed or unfairly rated based solely on opinions about one actress. I am not fully aware of how serious Esther Yu’s controversies are within Mainland China, but I sincerely hope will rate this drama for the sake of the drama itself and for all the people behind this well-made project.
Kudos to the entire cast and crew for delivering such a heartfelt and memorable drama.

A Soul-Stirring Journey of Love That Speeds Straight Into Your Heart Long After the Finish Line
StoryThis is a genuinely unique story, one I haven’t encountered before. Everything unfolds so naturally, without feeling forced or overdone. The drama beautifully balances racing, love, and the gangster world, yet never lets us drift away from Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao’s love story. Not for a single minute did it feel boring. Every scene held meaning, emotion, and purpose.
Acting
Esther Yu is pure magic. Once again, she proves her incredible talent through this drama. Her portrayal of Jiang Mu felt so real that I often forgot I was watching a show. It felt like I was living inside the story. I rarely cry while watching dramas, but this one broke that rule completely.
He Yu as Jin Zhao is nothing short of a masterpiece. He deserves immense praise for his performance. Whether as a racer, a fighter, or a lover, he delivered every aspect flawlessly. The way he conveyed emotions in even the smallest moments was remarkable. There were countless scenes where I found myself crying along with him.
Music
The soundtrack is beautifully chosen and perfectly complements the emotions of the story. It enhances every scene, and it’s already on repeat in my Spotify playlist.
Rewatch Value
Extremely high. I’ve already started rewatching because I simply can’t let this drama go. It leaves an emptiness once it ends. I’ve never been this hooked on a drama before ever. From the moment it aired, I gave up my sleep, waking up at 2 AM every day just to watch it. And honestly? It was completely worth it.
Overall
Overall, out of all the dramas I have watched this year, Speed and Love stands as the very best. 2025 truly treated me well by bringing this drama into my life. It feels as though I, too, received the happy ending we all longed for as the year came to a close.
All my praise goes to the entire Speed and Love team. Thank you for creating something so meaningful; something that didn’t just entertain us, but healed our inner selves and stays with our hearts long after the final episode.

Cinematography
I really love this drama, and as an Esther fan, watching Speed and Love felt very special to me. From the very first episode, something about it just pulled me in. The chemistry between the leads didn’t feel loud or forced; it was calm, natural, and quietly intense, the kind that grows on you without you even realizing it. Every glance, every small reaction felt meaningful, as if the characters were speaking through their emotions rather than words. Both leads gave such strong performances that it never felt like acting—it felt like real people living real moments.Esther truly shined in this drama. Her expressions, her voice, and even her silence carried so much emotion. She portrayed vulnerability and strength so beautifully that it was impossible not to feel connected to her character. The male lead matched her energy perfectly, and together they created a balance that made their relationship feel genuine and comforting. Their journey wasn’t just about love, but about understanding, growth, and choosing each other again and again in quiet ways.
The visuals made everything even more magical. The Thailand locations were breathtaking, and the cinematography captured the beauty of every place with a soft, dreamy touch. The backgrounds, the lighting, and the calm pacing made the drama feel warm and soothing, like something you want to revisit when you need comfort. Esther’s outfits also stood out—they were simple yet elegant, fitting her character perfectly and adding to the overall aesthetic of the drama.
In the end, Speed and Love isn’t just a drama I watched; it’s a story I felt. It stayed with me long after the final episode, and that’s what makes it truly unforgettable.

Iconic Drama with no place for disappointment. Just perfect from head to toe. ✨️
If you like something that has everything from car racing to a sizzling chemistry with a mist of sudden heartbreak, along with strong FL who knows what she wants paired up with our good boy gone bad ML. Then this one its for you. 😩🤌🏻✨️You will never be disappointed watching them on screen with their slow burn tension. Intense staring with a sizzle of jealousy. Both leads get jelly jelly easily. There love is undeniable. She waited for him all the years. No one dared to generate spark on her heart the way our ML did. He was the only one manage to successfully race her heart. Similarly, she has own place inside his heart. She was already there. They are inseparable. Fate might be cruel to them but thats the test universe bound to take, in order to make them realize their real feelings. That they are incomplete without each other and separation is only breaking them apart mentally and physically.
It was a beautiful drama. It had everything I was looking for.
If this doesn't work with your taste, its totally fine to skip it. There is no compulsion on entertainment sources that you have to watch them.
That's it for review, its my first time giving a review to a drama, and pardon my English, its my third language, I bound to make mistakes when I don't use it that often. 🤧
And I don't write too much so I can only offer this much of my views. Thank you for reading it, and hope you have a nice drama watching journey. 🤗🤗

When the sun and moon shine together
I literally have no words to express how much I loved this C-drama. Ever since it was announced, I was dying to see it. The story totally grabbed me before it even aired, and once I started watching, there was no turning back. It easily became one of the best dramas I’ve seen all year. The plot just pulls you in, and honestly, every single element—the characters, the romance, the OST, the cinematography—was perfectly crafted. I’m just so happy I got to experience this story day by day. I usually never watch Cdramas while they’re airing, but I just couldn't wait, lol! No regrets, even though I’m a little sad to say goodbye now.I have to say, He Yu absolutely killed it in this drama. It’s my second time seeing him, the first was My Fated Boy, and even though he was super cute in that one, Jin Zhao is on a whole different level. And can we talk about how HOT he looks here?! I literally held my breath every time he was in his "bad boy racer" era. His soft era was nice, but the bad boy vibes? Simply superior. (//ω//) There’s so much depth to his characters. Even after everything he’s been through, he still kept his heart of gold. He’s so naturally kind and caring—honestly, the ultimate green flag. I just loved and will always love this man 4ever! ♥
As for Esther Yu, I’ve been a fan for a while. I know some people aren't into her style, but I really like her. Her character, Jiang Mu (Mu Mu), might seem a bit immature at first, but I loved her character development. We started off with a very innocent, unbothered, loving, and cute girlie, yet we ended with a mature, loving and subtle cute lady. Also, the outfits and styling deserve a full review of their own because they were beautiful! One thing I’ve always loved about this character is that she isn't your typical shy girl—she’s the complete opposite! I absolutely loved how she could keep up with Jin Zhao. I mean, from now on, whenever I hear the word 'Focus,' I’m always going to think of her, lol!
Which brings us to the chemistry... and wow, they really delivered. Their scenes left me speechless more than once. The amount of times I kicked my feet and giggled frantically because of these two is actually insane. AND THE KISSES?! I was obsessed with "hungry" Zhao Zhao. (〃ノωノ) The yearning and the way this man loves Mu Mu made me want to be loved like that, too (I mean, who wouldn't?). The way Jin Zhao’s intense, hot stares met Jiang Mu’s innocent gazes... honestly, I GASPED every single time.
I honestly have no complaints about the supporting cast! Even with their limited screen time, they delivered exactly what was needed to make this drama a total gem. I wasn't expecting to see Mike Angelo! It’s been a while since I’ve seen him, and I loved his character along with Sanlai Ge and the rest of the crew. The OST is beautiful, and the action scenes—the racing, the boxing—were incredible. This drama delivered exactly what it promised, and I’ll definitely be rewatching it. I’m also planning to read the novel because I heard it’s even better since the drama had to cut some things out.
Conclusion: I honestly wish I could erase my memory just to rewatch it all over again for the first time. I’d watch it forever if I could! This drama is 100% worth it, and I’d recommend it to anyone with my eyes closed. 10/10 ✧

Satisfied with my viewing experience
Not many dramas have manage to make me get up at 4am to watch the episodes as soon as they release but this one did and I don’t not regret a single moment 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳Could production have done a better job in the last episodes? Yes, but the story and characters kept me engaged until the last second and personally that’s all I ask for so for me this is a 10/10 viewing experience and a drama that I will be rewatching.

chemistry is chemistrying
it's been so long since i watched a great drama like this! The romance is top tier, the actors express so well the characters' emotions and you can really empathize with them. The two story time frames are well structured too, you can tell the shift from a young love to a more mature and aware one, both very thrilling and addictive. Kiss scenes are fire, breathtaking tension. It's the first time I like all the songs they used, so the OST is great too!You should definitely give it a try!!

Pure sizzling chemistry
What stands out from the very beginning of Speed and Love is the intense chemistry and tension between the two leads. There is something undeniably captivating about the way they share the screen — a quiet pull, subtle looks, and an emotional undercurrent that makes every interaction feel charged. The drama feels like a really good dessert: one you never want to finish, because you enjoy and savor every single bite.He Yu, in the role of Jin Chao, is nothing short of exceptional. He feels perfectly cast in a way that is almost rare. His presence alone carries the role — a natural, effortless masculinity that never needs to be announced. Calm, controlled, and emotionally contained, he radiates a powerful magnetism that dominates every scene he is in. There is something unmistakable in the way he looks at Jiang Mu, protects her, and clearly wants her. That quiet desire and control are what make their chemistry feel so real and intense.
Esther Yu, portraying Jiang Mu, gives a solid performance, and the actress is clearly capable. However, at times I find myself noticing elements of the actress rather than the character. While her role is meant to be younger, some moments come across as overly childish, almost as if she is trying too hard to appear like a “little sister” figure. A bit less exaggerated playfulness would have made her character feel more natural and better balanced alongside such a grounded male lead.
Even with a few narrative inconsistencies, I am completely here for their chemistry. It is something you don’t just see — you feel it. Much of that emotional impact comes from the male lead’s magnetic presence and his ability to convey desire, restraint, and protection without saying a word.
Beyond the performances, the drama itself is fresh, engaging, and far from predictable. The pacing keeps the story interesting, the cinematography is stylish and dynamic, and the overall atmosphere feels modern and polished. Combined with the strong chemistry between the leads, Speed and Love becomes a drama you don’t simply watch — you experience it.
