Don't waste your time

I really truly have nothing positive to say the story was confusing and horrible. Prey seem to be preyed upon she acted like she was a nine years old throughout the whole story and I can honestly say she was the best of the actors like there may be hope for her in the future because she's so young. The placements of the flashbacks was in random spots I don't know how there was an accident on a boat in France but they ended up in Thailand. I don't understand why she faked her death for months to avoid marrying someone that she could have just said no to. It's so confusing.

Decent actors, decent music, decent production but the soryline is not good

Overall, the acting, in a vacuum, is not that bad. I will say that Itsaree lacks facial expressions to carry out emotions through the screen. Maybe because of that, you can perceive chemistry between Itsaree and Pronyanee characters only so often. Or maybe it's the storyline that makes these characters uncomfortable to watch. It feels like they are uncomfortable with each other too. And while that works at the beginning, at the end it makes no sense. Despite that, overall acting is not that bad.

But even the best actors could not carry the plot of the show. Let's start with the random time jumps. There is no explanation, sometimes no reason, logic or visible change between them. Has it been a few hours? A day? A week? A month? Who knows! Certainly not the viewer. Nor the writers, either, it seems. How can a story, in 20-30 min, jump 6 months, with 'checkpoints' at 1 day, 3 days, a month, 3 months, and 6 months? And most importantly, why?

Second, there is nothing new about telling a story through two time paradigms: past and present. That's fine. It can be interesting. It is always interesting to see different, but similar situations with different but similar choices generations will make. And how those choices either repeat the history or paint a new path. Except, the time jumps were so random and all over the place. It really ruins the emotional rollercoaster the viewer expects to experience while watching a drama. Instead of expanding the story, it makes it narrow and shallow.

Finally, continuity. Or lack there of. In this drama, big events happen too fast, while small and insignificant ones are dragged out for no reason, making something out of nothing. Protagonists don't experience any growth. One antagonist is villainized, depicted lacking a moral compass and being proud of it, yet somehow, being friends with everyone? The other antagonist is so insignificant, the viewer will forget their existence the moment they are no longer on a screen.

Honestly, it feels like this story was written for 16 episodes or 2 seasons, but carried out in only 8. But instead of cutting down on the content, the plot is being shoved down a viewer's throat as fast as possible, giving the viewers more whiplashes than they can count. No wonder there is a lack of chemistry between the lead characters. Instead of creating this complex storyline, the series would have benefited from 1-2 conflicts, focusing on character depth. Because the production itself was not bad with decent actors, decent music and decent sets. It's just the story... As I repeated many times while watching "literally - nothing happened" the entire time.

Pretty bad

overall the acting was not great. the storyline had potential, but it was meh in execution. if the English translations are correct, then the script was also awful. the MC’s had 0 chemistry and looked extremely unnatural in all romance scenes. that was the biggest disappointment to me. the other two side couples had more chemistry than the MCs. I suffered through the last two episodes because I’m someone who just has to complete it if I start watching it and it just got worse and worse. I don’t recommend it and I hope they don’t try to push this couple in any other series.

Need more polishing

This is what I thought throughout the entire series. My remarks are based on the comparison between the novel and the series. Well, first of all, I wanna emphasize that I'm not here to provide nasty feedback because I understand, and appreciate the hard work and efforts from many people who work on the series. Especially for a series that needs to time hops between different era. Therefore, like many others GL fans who supported the show, I too, faithfully seated and waiting for the series to air every week.

Well, below are my humble opinions:

1) Need more polishing because many of the scenes that reflects from the novel are not explained properly. So for those who didn't read the novel might not understand due to the lack details.

2) Should have arranged for both MC to build chemistry through workshop.

3) The last 2 chapter seems rushed and unorganized, perhaps should have added 1 or 2 more episodes in order for the series to be more refined?

Btw, I like both OST. Nice songs. Anyway, overall, I don't think the series is that bad. Practice make perfect ya, keep going 💪🏽! The next one will be much better.

interesting premise with underwhelming writing (BL side couple timings)

Overall: the past/reincarnation was interesting, but the characters and plot execution frequently fell flat. 8 episodes about 50 minutes each. Aired on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/album/i-m-your-moon-2025-x1y0b7cfb1?lang=en_us

Content Warnings: off screen punch, past deaths/murder, past punch/slap, grief, dub con kissing/sex

Timings for BL Couple
- episode 1: 18-20, 22-24, 27-29
- episode 2: 23-25:20
- episode 3: 7:40-14:50, 35:15-41
- episode 5: 18:55-21:45
- episode 6: 2:25-4:10, 16:30-17:35
- episode 8: 15:55-17:20, 45:25-46:50

What I Liked
- the past lives/styling
- the m/m side couple relationship development
- established f/f side couple
- that the guy was pretty mature in the finale

Room For Improvement
- Prey (and what a character name) felt/acted very young, I didn't catch character ages but a character said there was a large age gap
- how she treated Prey, kissing her and then saying it wouldn't work
- odd how they reincarnated into each other's family so Prey ended up dating her reincarnated grandmother???
- the kissing and more when 1 person was shown to be very drunk (but then seemed much more sober a few minutes later)
- nonsense/cliche plot stuff i.e. 1 guy didn't recognize another guy when he looked exactly the same, characters caused a ton of unnecessary pain (not telling her for a month?!), wore clothes in a bathtub etc

Continuity issues

I loved the "story" of the two modern women finding their love for each other and the small drama along the way. I also liked that the historical boat drowning was addressed in a later episode. I thought it was ironic that "Earl" found herself on a yacht (boat) during a climactic period of the episode (and I do think that was intentional). That leads me to wonder how much of the historical facts were supposed to be known by the present-day characters because that story-line was blurred (the story seemed to switch between the history story and present-day). However a major concern, unless I didn't understand the storyline correctly, I'm not sure how the historical two young gay females who died early in their lives had children, grand children and great grandchildren.

Reincarnation Saga at its Best!!

Adapted from the novel “Katsathitthan” (กัษธิษฐาน) by Ace, “I’m Your Moon” is a reincarnation saga steeped in societal redressal and traditional bondage. The intricately woven storyline addresses the long lost love between two princesses born in the Buddhist year 2456 (1913). While being homosexual itself was a crime then, their regal status doesn’t allow their blossoming love to flourish. With same-sex marriage laws becoming a reality in Thailand, the show highlights the differences in the ancient and modern societal mindset. Starring Sprite Itaree & Piano Pronyanee in lead roles, the show encompasses two different timelines where their characters fall in love and face variant challenges!

"I Am Your Moon" un début confusion, une fin originale.
