I loved their chemestry
This is my favourite BL drama of all time. Since the first chapter, I was hooked. For me, Little Boss (I liked Sean's nickname) and Shaopeng's relationship was the whole plot of this story, and it was so wholesome and beautiful. I liked how Shaopeng was the reason Sean's character evolved and changed. He went from an angsty teenager adult who wanted nothing to do with his family responsibilities to a man who actively decided to chase his happiness, and all this because of Shaopeng.
One of my favourite scenes was when Shaopeng broke down in tears and poured his heart out to Little Boss (what he said before was an asshole thing to say, no excuses) about his frustrations and him wanting to be "normal." Seeing him so vulnerable for the first time (and then crying on Sean's arms) was so crude and full of emotion. I think that scene showed a new face of both Little Boss and Shaopeng, Little Boss' emotional awareness and Shaopeng's vulnerability, and it also showed how their characters fit/complement each other.

Love, Language, and Lingering Looks
"See Your Love" is a Taiwanese romantic drama that thoughtfully balances lighthearted charm with moments of emotional depth, offering a unique love story that highlights the importance of communication—both spoken and unspoken. At its core, the series follows Yang Ji Xiang, a wealthy heir sent to Taiwan for business, and Jiang Xiao Peng, a hearing-impaired caretaker who unexpectedly becomes his lifeline. What starts as an uneasy partnership evolves into a tender romance, enriched by a narrative that delves into trauma, healing, and the complexity of human connections.
The Strength of the Leads
The standout feature of this series is undoubtedly the chemistry between Raiden Lin (Yang Ji Xiang) and Jin Yun (Jiang Xiao Peng). Jin Yun’s portrayal of a hearing-impaired character is so authentic that it’s easy to believe he shares his character’s condition. Lin complements him brilliantly, and their on-screen connection is palpable. Their journey from strangers to lovers feels organic, with each actor bringing layers of vulnerability and strength to their roles.
Supporting Cast and Subplots
The supporting cast adds texture, particularly Lin Chia Yo’s Cheng Feng Jie ("Jonathan"), whose witty banter and camaraderie with Ji Xiang provide much-needed levity. The secondary couple, while charming, doesn’t get enough screen time to fully develop, leaving their story feeling rushed and under-explored.
Themes and Representation
One of the series' greatest strengths is its representation of the deaf community, a rarity in mainstream media. Xiao Peng is not a helpless stereotype but a resilient and multi-dimensional character. The drama also touches on subtle biases faced by people with disabilities, though these themes sometimes feel under-utilised, serving more as a backdrop than a fully fleshed-out commentary.
Where It Falls Short
The pacing is uneven, with a playful, almost silly tone in the earlier episodes clashing with the heavier drama later on. The finale, in particular, feels rushed, with unresolved conflicts and a somewhat implausible resolution. Subplots involving assassins and business rivalries feel tacked on, detracting from the more compelling personal struggles of the leads.
Additionally, the frequent reliance on near-kisses, prolonged stares, and melodramatic flashbacks sometimes borders on cliché, while side characters like the fiancée and Xiao Peng’s parents remain one-dimensional.
The Heart of the Story
Despite its flaws, See Your Love thrives on its emotional resonance. The love story is heartfelt, and the leads' efforts to overcome their personal traumas and find solace in one another are genuinely moving. The series shines in its quieter moments, where small gestures and sign language convey more than words ever could.
Final Thoughts
If there’s one thing I would tweak about See Your Love, it would be giving Shao Peng a chance to showcase his Taekwondo skills in the final episode. It would have been a fantastic way to surprise Jonathan’s men and emphasize that Shao Peng is far from an ordinary person with a disability. A quick, action-packed moment could have highlighted his resilience and strength, adding an extra layer to his character and giving the finale a bit more punch—literally! It’s a small touch, but one that could have made an already memorable story even more impactful.
See Your Love is a heartwarming, if imperfect, drama. Its strengths lie in its leads’ chemistry, its meaningful representation, and its willingness to explore themes of connection and resilience. While the pacing and subplots could use refinement, the series offers plenty of laughter, tears, and feel-good moments to satisfy BL and drama enthusiasts alike.
It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s a solid, enjoyable watch—particularly if you binge it. If you’re looking for a love story with depth, heart, and a touch of quirkiness, this one’s worth a go.

UPDATED: cute, but ending was rushed
UPDATE Jan 8: I think my initial concerns proved valid. There was a lot happening and the pacing wasn't spaced out to properly address everything. The ending for one couple ended up rushed, a few plot lines were not really resolved and left open ended, and the one that was actually closed felt forced with a main antagonist getting a personality/motivation flip after one conversation. Still it was cute and I did like the main couple. I just think it could have been better if it had more time. Or better used the time it had.I am glad there was no sign of the noble idiocy trope. 🙏
ORIGINAL REVIEW AFTER EPISODE 7: Let me start with what I like. I like both main characters. They're both pretty competent and their motivations make sense. I like that while one ML is deaf/nonverbal, he is not weak or bitter. And while it shows the obstacles someone might face with a hearing impairment, it also isn't really made out like we should pity him for it either. Like, it's not a sob story. He is working hard to find his niche and he knows what he wants to do. Like, it's not really portrayed as an obstacle for him. He isn't letting it interfere or prevent him from doing anything, it's just that the mindset of others that is getting in the way.
I also like that while the other ML seems like he would be the typical spoiled, rich guy we've seen more depth to him. I actually feel like he's sort of the opposite of the other ML. Zixiang had so much more opportunity and people were willing to set up him up to succeed, but he had no sense of direction or purpose. While Shaopeng didn't have the same opportunity or connections, but had a clear purpose. So, it's kind of interesting to see them together and it feels like it will be nice to watch them grow. I love it when couples basically bring out the best in each other and I feel like this couple could do that.
The second couple I don't like as much. Their first meeting/"time" was suggested to be like Kla/Techno's first "hookup" in Love by Chance (i.e. Kla SAing Techno while Techno was wasted, then basically lying the next morning and saying Techno assaulted him). Though, he hasn't confirmed it, so it might just be him lying to mess with his head. I don't know. It's a bit cat and mouse, but the mouse is too dumb at the moment to recognize he's a mouse. It has potential, but will it actually get to reach it with so little screen time left? And that leads to my biggest issue.
To sum up my biggest issue so far, it feels like we're going nowhere slowly. I'm 7 episodes in and I feel like we could have gotten through the same amount of material in 3 episodes, without even really cutting any major content.
Kind of but not really spoilers up to 7: Episode 1 could have had everything from their first meeting to hiring him as a caregiver. Episode 2 could have had him seeing it was nice to have someone take care of him, but still sneaking away and ended with him getting caught. Episode 3 could have been him sharing his back story and them starting to bond as he learns sign language to communicate with him. Meanwhile, that's basically where they are at in episode 7. And the second couple didn't even meet until episode 4.
These things would be fine if this was like 20 episodes. Or even 16 hour-long episodes. But at 13 episodes at approx. 25 minutes each, we're already more than half way through and while like half an episode was just showing one of the MLs involved in community theatre, we haven't had a confession yet from either couple. And next episode shows some random woman showing up and buzzing around Zixiang. and we already have Shaopeng's childhood friend who may or may not like him (I lean towards no, seems a bit sibling or former couple turned friends, but she is inspiring jealousy either way). And aside from the romance itself, the cousin/brother guy is still mostly unknown, there are people actively trying to kill one of the MLs (one of which seems to now be living with him), and he still has to work out his issues with his dad and he has to follow through on his promise to get other ML hired. Like, it took 2 episodes to hire Shaopeng, 2 episodes to lose him, and then 2 more to get him back and that is just as his caregiver. How is everything going to be resolved in that same amount of airtime?
I'm worried they'll like get together at the end of episode 10, have one cute episode (11) before we get the classic noble idiocy ("I'm breaking up with you for your own good") break up in 12, then everything will magically resolve in episode 13 without any real explanation. Everyone just changes their mind and decides to be a better person instead of a villain. Like in Why R U, how dad goes from threatening him to breaking up with his son and then one brief angry conversation with his son later and dad's on a video call like "psych! It's all cool. Sorry I threatened to like ruin your life or whatever. Have fun dating my son. I approve now." I just don't see how (with the time left and current pacing) they can resolve everything cleanly.
The pacing feels a little soap opera, but the length is like a mini-series. And I feel like one of those needs to change.

Wow, really brilliant
This was a great series. The acting was the best I have ever seen. The dedication to signing was outstanding.Jin Yun was outstanding, for a young man, his dedication was brilliant, he was so perfect playing Jiang.
Raiden Lin character ZiXiang was cute and child like and so loyal, and learning to sign was great.
Johnathan and Wang had a great funny cute get together, I loved them.
Jiang parents were brilliant and cute.
The story was really positive and their love for each other out shone any obstacle trying to break them. The biggest thing, is they talked and talked about everything.
I dont rewatch many shows but this I would. Just to remind me love and faithfulness, excepting of others is alive and well in this series. Perfect.

Glass Case of Emotions.
I had to double check the kisskh ratings for this one after watching the first two episodes because there was NO WAY it got rated an 8.0+Here are my jumbled thoughts:
• For starters, there are very few braincells to be found and the only ones present belong to the Jiangs, Shao Peng's bestfriend Shu He, and Jonathan/Cheng Feng Jie. And Jiang Shao Peng's story is the strongest aspect of this drama in every way. It's also the reason why it had a solid rating.
Yes, we do begin with Yang Zi Xian, a spoilt, but repressed brat who had been sent back to Taiwan to oversee an important project for his Dad. His PA quits, unable to bear his shenanigans and Zi Xian handpicks Shao Peng due to his deafness and muteness.
His scheming hurts Shao Peng, who had diligently taken his duty and he quits in a fit of rage when he realizes that Zi Xian's plan was to get someone who wouldn't be able to discover his attempts to evade duty.
Realizing that he had insulted and looked down upon Shao Peng, who, in spite of his disability, worked hard and sincerely to make it to his goal, Zi Xian decides to apologize for his attitude and re-hires Shao Peng. Slowly, they develop a rapport and Zi Xian begins to open up about himself.
• The major highlight (or rather a depiction of the harsh reality for people such as Shao Peng) was how he had to learn to overcome situations and smile during difficult times. Initially, we begin to feel that he had grown used to his deafness as he had lost it as a child; but Zi Xian sees right through him. EP9 has an deeply impactful and intense confrontation between the two -- Zi Xian was brash, but he was also intelligent and empathetic, once we slowly begin to see him change for the better and spend more time with Shao Peng, going so far as to learn sign language to make him comfortable.
Their romance was slow, yet sweet. It had it's roadblocks, which is impossible to avoid, considering both of their backgrounds. Yet, the drama portrays that being 'disabled' is never a disgrace as it not a choice; rather, it becomes a part of your individuality -- your normal. Their feelings felt 'real'. Not to mention, Shao Peng's relationship with Shu He and his parents.
• By the way, Zi Xiang is actively pursued by a gang of goons for money -- there is no who-did-it, because we are shown who had done it. Xin Jia, an amateur and rising assassin, takes up the job by himself to prove his worth. He spectacularly fails and gets successfully captured by Chen Feng Jie in incognito mode. None of these parts of the plot matter, but they provide a sense of respite because in spite of the absolutely hilarious side couple and laughable attempt at being a 'thriller', the creators used all their efforts for Shao Peng and Zi Xian and I'm not unhappy.
• I had no complaints in terms of acting as everyone depicted their roles well, even during silly situations - yep, Feng Jie and Xin Jia. Kudos to Jin Yun, who seamlessly manoeuvred sign language, and later, Raiden Lin, though he and the rest of the cast had the advantage of being able to talk to each other.
• Not a huge fan of the songs. The backgroud instrumentals were good, though.
• Honestly? I titled my review as 'Glass Case of Emotion' because one moment I'll be scoffing at their shoddy 'thriller' vibes and then the next moment, it'll be bittersweet or funny. There was no stable emotions as all four main characters had different vibes. (Serious Vs. Funny.) And all of them had almost equal screentime, too.
A solid 8/10, considering that they did manage to hold up one storyline thoroughly and convincingly in the middle of the river.

A special value of this movie is that the character of the "bad boy" Yang Zi Cheng (Zi Xiang's cousin) also changes over time due to his openness.
And in the same way, the thinking and character of Zheng Yu Nong and Song Shu He also develop in a good direction.
All the actors were excellent, but I would still highlight Raiden Lin's performance. He is a very talented actor!

Near perfection.
I went into this series not knowing anything about it and I'm so glad I did. This was a beautiful story made even more so by the actor's performances. One the surface, the plot doesn't seem all that original but rest assured, no one had done it like this before. (Or if they have, I've yet to come across it.)The only thing holding this back from being a 10 from me is the unresolved confusion either the brother/cousin... did he love Sean? Did he hate him? Did he resent him? Did he want to help him be free of the family? I honestly don't know what his motive was or what the point of him was.
I'm also kind of on the fence about the secondary couple.. I mean, they were cute at times but it felt forced without much time to really develop. Also, the whole thing about needing "liquid courage" might make sense for teenagers and university students but seriously, these guys are too old for that. But I guess it was part of Xin Jia's charm of being naive and essentially a lost puppy.
There aren't enough words to describe how brilliant Jin Yun's performance as Shao Peng was. He showed so much emotion and inner turmoil without needing to speak or use inflection in tone. It was heartbreaking when he finally lost the last bit of his resolve and it was powerful when he found his own strength and allowed love to find him for who he was.
If a series could immerse me so deep to have me shedding a tear, then that is a true testament to the storytelling, acting and delivery of such powerful emotions to justify rating the series high in my book. I already can not wait to rewatch it sometime in the near future.

Love love this drama!
Honestly I went in blind watching this and after watching it had become one of my top favorites especially from Taiwan! The couple is so stinkin cute and the height difference ah!! Taiwan is honestly delivering with BL series and plots. The story does focus on Trauma and disability.. Top is deaf meets a spoiled rich kid he has to look after. We get to see them reconcile and build a strong connection with one another. This pairing is one of my favorites and although the starting did piss me off a little bit because of the bottoms intentions he did grow out of it. We got character development!

Love is stronger than anything.
This is the first time I feel that I am not watching boys' love in a purely sexual way, I am now in the fourth episode, but the filming, directing, music and actors made me feel as if I am living the feelings of each person in them, and I also started to feel that there are others who do not appreciate the suffering of others, so I thank them for their wonderful acting, I am now completing the evaluation after watching all the episodes, the feelings contained in the episodes, the difficulties and dangers they face made me realize that no matter how difficult it is, love will overcome it, I thank them for making me live the feelings and suffering they live and go through, their acting is very creative and real, the viewer appears and lives these moments without feeling and delving into them, whether it is sadness, crying, love, sincere words, confusion or shyness, so I advise everyone to watch and live what I felt with them, it is over and I am sad about this, but there is no doubt that I will watch it again to live what I felt while watching it.Was this review helpful to you?

He can see the love even if he can't hear the words! Beautiful!
Im soo glad I found this drama! Such a beautiful, loving way of portraying love between two drastically different individuals, and each struggling with his own short-comings!It’s a true comfort drama, with impeccable acting by the main leads. The communication with sign language is so well done, its at the right pace, right time, and not over-whelming or hard to follow. All characters were great, loved the casting! I really can't imagine anyone else playing Zixiang and Jeng Shaopeing! They have such great chemistry!
Oh and the DIALOGUES! The writers did such a great job with the dialogues and delivery! The right kind of anger, frustration, love, sadness, everything was great!
I hope this show gets a lot of awards! It absolutely deserves all of it! Absolute masterpiece 👏!
