single parent ML while in UL the female is unmarried and has a break up recently. DH seems more realistic in places. In DH FL is also a single mother. DH is a more healing kind of drama while UL is a healing drama but more of a rom com.

the FL in both shows come out of a bad marriage, with cheater husbands. Both had long sacrificed personal careers for the marriage. They both come out strong after divorce. of course, in TEOM we see the whole joruney of the FL from a blissful marriage through the discovery of infidelity and then divorce and then finding herself again. In contrast in DH we see the FL's life after she has already divorced her unfaithful husband. the characters in TEOM are more layered in comparison to DH. Also FL has kids in DH and the ML also is a widower with kids. In TEOM only the FL is shown to have a second chance at relationship.

Similar story with ML and FL both having kids from a previous marriage. ML's wife died, and FL's husband also cheated with her BF. There are annoying in-laws from the ML's side who keep interfering

both leads are parents to adorkable kids; the difference being in PBMF the parents are actually uncle and aunt of the kids unlike DH.

in both MLs are single fathers who are walking green flags; they both have daughters (in LS one smart daughter and in DH two cute daughters). both MLs lost their wives due to illness. in LS only ML is single parent
