My first Thai BL and it was amazing!!!

First off, I love these actors so much. I have watched this 4 times within 2 weeks. I’m that obsessed with the story, I love ghost detective mysteries and this delivered. I’ve seen some people talking about stylistic choices and other plot issues and I’m here to cape for this show lol

First, I loved that they focused on small details like making Thup have heterochromia because, in some cultures, odd eyes are associated with people who can see supernatural beings like ghosts and spirits. I liked that small detail and my first time watching I thought it was the actors real eye colors. I have seen people with different colored eyes and some do have a larger pupil especially if the eye experienced physical trauma. My only gripe on the eyes was the 10 year old version of Thup didn’t seem to have odd eyes in the flash back but that’s a small thing.

For the plot holes, I believe the most glaring for me was why not test the DNA of all people involved during the period of the investigation, even the YouTubers? If they had tested them, Bom would have come back as related to the hair on the clay doll they found the night that Ghost Hunt had infiltrated the crime scene. My only explanation was that they had created a profile for a man older than 30 years old since the crimes were happening since 15 years ago. Also, the YouTubers did seem like your typical dumb young adults who did stupid things for clout and views and likely not involved and the cops just wanted to scare them and have their DNA on file for safe keeping in case they did something stupid again.
Another thing that probably blinded the team was Darin’s accident which sidetracked them for a while (which is what the killers wanted). And lastly, the killers’ insane luck played a part. The ritual was both to extend their lives but also take in all the victims’ fortune. Considering that, I get why it was so hard to catch them, it didn’t help that the main perp was also ex cop :/

Another plot hole or weirdness that people mentioned was the Apple Watch not working with King but magically working with Bom. The simple answer is that it was discharged and King kept pressing on the button to try to turn it on but it wasn’t working. Those watches can barely last one full day unless you literally only use it as a watch. When Bom had it, he charged it (likely right at the abandoned mall) and used it to lure the team. As for Singha telling Thup to stay in the car, it actually makes a lot of sense because Thup could drive or run away as he was in an open space leading to the exit and couldn’t be locked inside the building. They didn’t know what they were walking into and didn’t want to risk giving them Thup since Singha was very sure he was the Saturday target. The problem was Thup didn’t listen (understandably since he’s worried), if he had stayed in the car he probably wouldn’t have gotten kidnapped.

Another plot hole people have mentioned was the use of the same crime scene for the new killings. My first watching I thought it was a different abandoned mall with a tree lol. Mainly because the outside of buildings looked similar but had different numbers of floors. The first was 3 stories and the second around 6-7 stories tall (I think). But on my 2nd and 3rd watch, I did realized that it was the same crime scene which makes sense with having to do the process again in the same place since it was interrupted but it means that the team didn’t think to check the original crime scene???
I can only attribute it to them being understaffed and doing everything secretly while the ghosts messed with them. Having the case closed also meant the abandoned mall becoming private property again since the developers wanted it back ASAP (which was the reason for the crazy push to close this case so soon.) I think the team and any logical person would assume that the developers would tighten security but they didn’t :/. In truth, I’m not sure if the production team didn’t have the budget for a second crime scene and try to make it seem like a different one and failed. Or it was just bad plot 😂 I sadly can’t defend this one.

I do have to say that the re-watchability is high on this one and I loved the characters, especially Thup and Singha. Thup is such a flirt, he would focus so hard on Singha at times it made him tongue tied. He would stare into his soul lol, while grilling King. I loved that birth day of the week coin scene because Thup was so possessive. Also, loved the twink top and beefy bottom dynamic, especially because Thup is quite dominant and possessive towards Singha which Singha seems to like 🥰

Acceptance

I stumbled upon this drama and ended up binge watching it. The actors portrayed themselves in such a wonderfully delight, and I instantly wanted to know more about them. I loved how the dynamic of each person in the show brought something to the table. I liked how the ending didn't go the way that I thought it was. I don't want to give any spoilers, but I really wanted one guy to get put in jail just because of his attitude. I also liked how they kind of downplayed the more romantic scenes. You knew what happened, but you just didn't watch it.

Unmatched Chemistry and Creepy Vibes

When it comes to Thai boys' love pairings, no one does it quite like Pavel Naret Promphaopun and Pooh Krittin Kitjaruwannakul (frequently celebrated by fans as PavelPhoom or PoohPavel). They are, without a single doubt, my absolute favorite Thai BL couple, and their unmatched magnetic bond is the shining crown of Goddess Bless You from Death. Produced by CHANGE2561 and directed by Nopachai Chaiyanam, this series takes a refreshing detour from typical university romances, plunging headfirst into a dark, occult detective thriller that will leave you completely mesmerizedThe plot follows Inspector Singha, a no-nonsense captain of a special investigation unit, who reluctantly teams up with Thup, a 25-year-old temple orphan capable of communicating with ghosts, to solve a string of gruesome ritualistic murders. What makes this show an absolute delight to watch is how effortlessly it blends terrifying horror elements with wonderfully cute romance. The horror vibe is incredibly well-executed, packed with genuine chills, creepy atmospheres, and dark magic rituals. Yet, the moment Singha and Thup share the screen, their relationship becomes so tender, protective, and adorable that you cannot help but fall hopelessly in love with them all over againWhile the drama is an absolute masterpiece for the fans of the main ship, it isn't entirely free of writing hiccups. To be completely honest, the script occasionally stumbles into highly logic-defying territory, serving up a few intense second-hand embarrassment moments. The most glaring example is the sequence where Thup gets kidnapped. The execution of that entire kidnapping plotline feels incredibly silly, forced, and downright cringey, briefly testing the viewer’s patience with how foolishly the characters behave. It is a classic case of fictional "survival instincts of a goldfish" that makes you want to shake your head at the screen.Even with those minor, cringey plot holes, Goddess Bless You from Death remains a definitive 10/10 and a shining example of how to execute a supernatural BL thriller. Pavel and Pooh prove once again why they are an elite tier pairing, carrying the show with their breathtaking chemistry, beautiful emotional depth, and stellar acting. If you love horror atmospheres, dark mysteries, and witnessing your ultimate favorite couple look completely stunning while fighting curses together, this drama is an absolute, unmissable triumph
BTW OST 🩷🫶🏻

insane chemistry between the second couple

i must say that i enjoyed this series a lot. even tho there were some things that pissed me off the overall was really good. i definitely must praise michaeltopten for their acting as individuals and couple both cuz wow it was amazing. from the start you could feel the chemistry and tension going on between the exes that i even forgot the fact that they’re supposed to be exes. it didn’t take that long for them to solve their issues and i liked that they improved at communication as it was their main issue. toptens portray of emotions was incredible and he really showed what an amazing actor he is. with michael i always knew he was amazing from his old series but i was a little sad that sey didn’t get more scenes that he could show it in but he did a great job with what was given to him and i couldn’t expect it to be done any better. wish that we got more of them in the last episode after what they went through together but it was expected as a side couple. really hope to see michaeltopten as a main couple soon cuz they showed that they could definitely pull it off and really deserve it. i liked thupsingha as well but they already got their reviews so i wanted to focus more on the second couple who also deserve a big praise :)

Another highly praiseworthy milestone for Pooh/Pavel

What a series, and what a dramatic high impact ending! We are used to drama and high stakes from Pooh and Pavel since the two “Pit Babe” series with terrifying villains, deadly moments, but this series topped it all tenfold! Evil sorcery, creepy ghost and moments surely not for the faint of heart, I was glad I watched the blurred version on Youtube. Despite my usually sensitive nerves, I found even the dark scenes bearable, walking just the fine line of too much horror and hope.

Both MC actors Pavel but especially Pooh proved to have extended their range as actors in this most challenging story. Some may say the love story took a bit of a back-seat and while I would agree, it made it all the more memorable. I am sure anyone who liked it, will remember this series for a very long time. In all it set out to do, mix horror, crime and love, they succeeded with flying colors! The last two episodes and especially the last part was a true highlight of drama, with everything at stake and on the edge of a knife, giving the viewer the feeling that all possible ends remained on the table until the very last moments.

One may say, that made the time after the happy ending a bit too short, but in all honesty I didn't mind. Singha and Thup had already grown together and their backstories had been unfolded step by step, that despite this I felt the ending satisfying and didn't feel I missed another extra “all happy” time added to it. It may be regarded as more horror drama with BL, alright, but looking for BL to dare more story, and feeling myself these days bored of “just BL” this was most welcome to watch. A truly cinematic masterpiece that doesn't have to shy away from being compared to any big international series. In the end, mama and papa (the forever homeless^^) found together as if in one more universe. Feeling thoroughly greatly entertained throughout the entire series, great actors I every single role, and Pooh making the happiest happy face there is, I am confident with a

You Guys NEED to watch this

Okay, I’m literally sitting here, still shaking a little bit because I just finished watching, and I had to come here and scream about it. You know those shows that just… break you and put you back together at the same time? That is exactly what Hoddess bless you from death did to me. I’m not even kidding, I haven’t felt this obsessed with a series in a quite long time.
First of all, can we talk about the intro?! Usually, I’m the person who hits the "Skip Intro" button after the First time hearing it, but with this show? Never. Not once. The music is absolutely haunting. It’s like it gets under your skin and stays there. Every time that theme starts playing, I get actual goosebumps. It sets the vibe so perfectly—it’s dark, it’s beautiful, and it just makes you feel like something big is about to happen.
And the acting? Oh. My. God. The cast is just... on another level. You know when you watch something and you totally forget they are just actors reading a script? That’s how good they are. I felt every single emotion. When they cried, I was literally reaching for the tissues. When they were angry, I was screaming at my screen. Pooh and Pavel have this way of looking at each other that just says a thousand words without them even opening their mouths. It’s so raw and so real, and honestly, they deserve every award out there.
But the real kicker is the plot. Guys, the plot is INSANE. I went into this thinking I knew what to expect, but I was so wrong. It’s not just your typical supernatural story; it’s so much deeper than that. There were moments where my jaw literally dropped. Like, I had to pause the video and just stare at the wall for five minutes to process what just happened. The twists are so smart—they don't feel cheap, they feel earned. It’s like a puzzle that you’re desperate to solve, but every time you think you’ve found a piece, the show just flips the whole table.
Honestly, I’m just so in love with this series. It’s rare to find something that hits all the right notes—the visuals, the music, the heart-wrenching performances, and a story that actually keeps you guessing. If you haven't started Goddess bless you from death yet, what are you actually doing with your life? Go watch it right now. Just be prepared to have no life for a few days because you WILL binge-watch the whole thing. 1000000000000000000/10, no notes, just pure perfection.

The dumbest people on the planet solve a supernatural crime

Story starts off good but crashes and burns at the end. This could have been a 6 episode series but they had to stretch it out to 13 episodes. And they do this by using tried and tested method of making the characters take dumb actions to add filler material. From "oh no my friend is in grave danger but first let's flirt a bit" to "I'm surrounded by enemies but let me ignore them and ask this dude if he's doing okay and allow me to get jumped", you find them all in this goddess forsaken series.

I’m not usually a big fan of horror shows or movies, but this series completely won me over. I just couldn’t take my eyes off the screen, and waiting for the next episode felt like torture. Even though I figured out part of the mystery pretty early on, the show managed to build this addictive tension between science and spirituality, blending crime investigation with dark rituals. That mix gave the story real depth and kept the mystery alive, while putting the characters face-to-face with dilemmas about science/faith, life/death, love/sacrifice.

Pavel and Pooh absolutely nailed their performances. They went way beyond what I expected, if that’s even possible. The forensic side of the plot could’ve been developed a bit better, but honestly, it didn’t take away from the overall impact. I’d highly recommend it.

Now that it’s finally available on Netflix here, I’m enjoying rewatching it all over again 😉

BEST SHOW IN A LONG TIME

I don't write reviews, but this show deserves one! You need to watch it; it has every aspect: love, mystery, tragedy, happiness, sadness. You will cry, laugh, and get scared, then cry and laugh again! The acting is everything, the music is amazing, the plot is mad, the cinematography is perfect, the chemistry between the man lead and the sublead is on fire! You can't pass this, it's a must-watch! Enjoyy!!

I don't watch horror because i'm scared but the description looks interesting sooo...

Obviously the first thing I wanted to say is that holy moly, this series has a lot of horror elements. The amount of times I closed my eyes and peek through one eye just shows how good this show is. As someone who don't really watch horror because yes I'm afraid of it but I'll watch it if it's good and this series doesn't disappoint.

I don't want to spoil much about this series other than encourage you lurkers to go and watch it haha. As you can see I put a 8.5 rating which is pretty high for my standards. The plot is good, the characters are also great and most importantly I got scared watching this lol. Manifesting more BL series that has horror elements so I can strengthen my inner fear ;-; But if you readers are still thinking to watch it or not, take this review as a sign to go watch it now!

Anyways have a great day and I'll see you in my next review, maybe? :)
