One of those rare gambles that seems fully aware of the risks it is taking
Goddess Bless You from Death presents itself as one of those rare gambles that seems fully aware of the risks it is taking. In a landscape saturated with comforting BLs and crime dramas that promise much and deliver little, the series chooses a more unstable path and, precisely because of that, a more compelling one. Here, romance, supernatural horror, and police investigation do not merely coexist; they strain against each other, collide, and at times enter into direct conflict. The result is an imperfect work, yes, but one that feels alive, ambitious, and deeply memorable.Where Goddess Bless You from Death shines most is in its horror, a horror that asserts itself from the very first moment. The atmosphere is dense, oppressive, and genuinely unsettling, crafted through a powerful combination of elements: the makeup of the dead, bodies marked by ritual and mutilation, dark cinematography, and religious iconography reimagined as an instrument of violence. Nothing here feels like mere aesthetic ornamentation or cheap shock. Fear is born from silence, from repetition, from the grime that seems to seep into every frame, creating images that linger long after the episode ends.
The supernatural, far from being just a visual device, is treated as something intrusive and suffocating, accumulating throughout the narrative. With each new crime, the sense that something is profoundly wrong in this world intensifies, offering no relief and no easy answers. What unsettles is not only what is shown, but what gradually becomes accepted as normal within that distorted reality. When the series leans into terror, it does so with conviction, personality, and a maturity rarely seen in traditional BL.
The investigation, while engaging, is also where the first cracks begin to show. The story is rich in details, symbols, and spiritual rules, but it does not always manage to organize them with clarity. At times, the excess of information, combined with breaks in airing, makes the experience confusing to follow. Even so, the mystery holds because it moves forward with its own internal logic and because its twists, even when predictable, function as narrative rewards. The issue is not the complexity of the plot, but the choice to leave important questions unanswered, especially in the final episodes, which rush conclusions and leave gaps that deserved more time and care.
If horror forms the backbone of the series, its characters are what give it humanity. Singha, played by Pavel, is an inspector who oscillates between professional rigidity and an almost uncomfortable vulnerability. There is something profoundly human in his stubbornness, his mistakes, and in the way he insists on doing what he believes is right, even when it puts him at risk. Thup, portrayed by Pooh, is the emotional heart of the narrative. His sensitivity, constant fear, and ambiguous relationship with the spiritual world make him more than a simple “chosen one”; he is someone condemned to witness pain that no one else can see. The aesthetic choice to give him heterochromia, and to treat it as something natural, without didactic explanations, reinforces this sense of quiet otherness.
The romance between Singha and Thup is both delicate and controversial. It develops organically, as a bond forged in the midst of chaos, sustained by small gestures, glances, and a silent intimacy that slowly takes shape. When it works, it is surprisingly restrained for a BL set in such an extreme context, offering moments of genuine tenderness and humanity that directly counterbalance the brutality of the crimes.
However, the series seems uncertain about how much space it wants to give the couple. The relationship carries imbalances that are hard to ignore, especially Thup’s emotional and physical dependence on Singha, and it often feels suspended in time to make room for the main plot. As a result, its development is interrupted midway through the narrative and hastily resumed at the end, making some emotional declarations feel abrupt, almost out of place, in a universe where violence and death are still very much present.
The supporting characters are another strong point. King, in particular, stands out for his well-defined psychological arc. Torn between pleasing his father and doing what he believes is right, he evolves from an irritating presence into one of the most compelling figures in the series. The same can be said of the antagonists, whose performances manage to be genuinely frightening. There is a clear awareness that true horror does not lie in ghosts, but in people who use faith as justification to sacrifice others. The central idea, killing a few to prolong the life of a chosen one, resonates so powerfully precisely because it is not treated as distant fantasy, but as a reflection of deeply human logic.
From a technical standpoint, the production is impressive. Cinematography, lighting, and soundtrack work together to create a strong visual and emotional identity, especially in moments of horror. The music knows when to guide emotion and when to step back, allowing silence to do its work. On the other hand, the excessive and poorly integrated use of product placement breaks immersion at crucial moments, reminding the viewer, in an unwelcome way, that this is still a product being sold.
The series’ biggest misstep lies in its final episodes. The closing stretch accelerates decisions, simplifies conflicts, and forces behaviors that clash with earlier character development. Even so, despite questionable choices and rushed resolutions, the emotional impact remains. The ending does not attempt to erase the violence endured or offer artificial comfort; it acknowledges the human cost of the story it has told, and that makes a difference.
In the end, Goddess Bless You from Death is not a work that seeks to please everyone, and perhaps that is precisely why it works so well. It is a BL that refuses to be just a romance, a horror story that does not rely solely on the grotesque, and a police drama that understands not every answer needs to be clean. Between structural flaws and bold creative triumphs, the series makes it clear that there is still room for audacity within the genre, and that sometimes it is precisely in imperfection that a story finds its most enduring strength.

Impressed with the Chemistry between leads!
its just the first episode and it's off to being one of my favourite show🤭The acting feels so natural! Pooh and Pavel completely owned their roles, i could see the depth and emotion to every scene. The side characters too! seems like everyone came with A game on!😂🤭
The plot pulled me in right from the start, as someone who gets bored easily, it was above average and i am planning to rewatch it before the second episode drops.
Kudos to the script writers too, i will give them an 8.5/10. unlike pitbabe2 the story has depth and i hope it continues with this pace!
The cinematography was also stunning and honestly the visuals are everything and the poohpavel dynamic feels so fresh!
meanwhile, what excites me most is watching these two slowly fall in love on screen.😅🤭🤭
if the story keeps this same pace and chemistry, we’re in for something truly special!!!
🤞🤞

Worth watching for PoohPavel alone?
First of all, I’m a fan of PoohPavel ever since I saw them in Pit Babe. As Thup and Singha, they definitely have chemistry. We get several cute moments and a sweet ending, and there is character development—especially Singha, who starts out very rational and gradually becomes more open-minded toward spiritual matters because of Thup. Over the course of the drama, their relationship develops into a mature and trusting one. However, I wasn’t always satisfied with the plot. Especially in the middle part of the series, the crime aspect became so dominant that the romance felt almost negligible. I understand that this is a mystery series, but firstly, the balance between romance and investigation shifts unevenly throughout the show, and secondly, some of the police work felt unrealistic. For example, characters often go alone or only in pairs to investigate dangerous or suspicious places, which was sometimes frustrating to watch. I also agree with others that the ending felt rushed and not as captivating as I had hoped—for instance the final fight.
I don’t have much to say about the side couple. They did add something new to the series, and I wasn’t dissatisfied whenever they appeared, but I also didn’t actively look forward to their scenes. Overall, they felt like a pairing with cute and teasing moments, but nothing particularly memorable to me.
The character development of King—especially his relationship with his father—was mostly well done. However, towards the end it remains unclear how King and his father actually resolved their conflict, since their conversation happens off-screen and we only get a brief approving nod from his father. This was a bit frustrating, as it was one of the major subplots.
Regarding the ghosts, chanting, rituals, and overall atmosphere: this is definitely a well done horror series, but I agree with the 13+ age rating on MDL. It’s not overly scary, but rather tense. Additionally, I really liked the gripping OST.
Overall, the drama was enjoyable despite its flaws, but it wasn’t consistently captivating. Whether I would rewatch it, I’m not quite sure—maybe if I ever run out of unwatched mystery series that interest me. During its airing, I also started and finished another ghost-related story called "Khemjira", so I naturally had something similar to compare it to. In summary, my feelings about this series are mixed, making it hard to clearly recommend or not recommend it.
Nevertheless, I’m definitely looking forward to "The Grim Lover", the next series starring PoohPavel.

Great mix of Horror, Crime, Mystery and Slow-burn Romance. Pavel is FABULOUS (and hot ?)
“Goddess Bless You from Death” really IS a horror drama. Don’t be fooled to think that this is a regular BL with Pavel and Pooh. If you get scared easily, it’s probably best to not watch it. I was hesitant, not mainly because I get scared, I just don’t want to get stressed. But, you know, Pavel is the main lead and he is FABULOUS here, in looks and in acting. He helps relieve some stress. LOLIf I ignore the fact that I have a minor obsession with Pavel, “Goddess Bless You from Death” is still a pretty good drama. Note: I am not a veteran of horror or crime, so if you are a hardcore fan, you might think differently.
I’ve seen enough Thai BLs to know that production quality varies. However, I have to say I was very impressed with the production quality, especially the horror element. The hair/makeup and the freakiness of the ghosts are done very well. Even the police officers and medical examiners appear professional and smart. This is not always true as I’ve nitpicked on useless police officers myself many times, and I am not even a hardcore fan. On the other hand, I am also pleasantly surprised to find everyone’s makeup is minimal, and thank goodness for the absence of fluorescent pink lipstick. Pavel looks gorgeous with a more natural skin tone. He’s a cop after all and shouldn’t be pale as a ghost. But the product placement does take me out of the show a few times. I really don’t need to see weird-looking face masks and beauty products in a serious horror mystery drama.
Balancing horror, crime, mystery and romance is not an easy feat. I do believe GBYFD did a pretty good job in that. The drama takes time to build up the backstory, show scenes of investigation, and a slow burn romance. I appreciate the drama SHOWS and not just tells me what happened.
Speaking of romance, don’t get your hopes high with Pitbabe-level of skinship and NC scenes. Do I miss them? Actually, not as much as I thought. The drama did a good job in developing this romance from the initial attraction, to getting to know each other and falling in love. The timing feels natural and the kisses feel romantic, sensual and a little shy. Let’s say I am quite in love with Pavel’s character. Singha is a cop and he’s not the fluffy, sweet talker. I enjoyed Singha’s shy personality in love, yet also being a good manly cop. This contrasts well with Pooh’s character, Thup. Thup is younger, but not naive and innocent. He is the one who pursues (once he realizes he can get jealous) and initiates skinship. The chemistry between Pavel and Pooh is evident.
Pavel is the shining star in this drama. Not only does he look tall, dark and handsome, his acting is fabulous. Pooh, on the other hand, is better than when I last saw him in PitBabe. However, there are a few times when Pooh’s eyes look a little blah when he’s looking into Pavel’s eyes. It’s missing some emotions, especially when I am comparing him to Pavel. The acting of the rest of the group is decent. Otto looks like a runaway model when he’s strutting/walking and standing. But his acting is not the best (not horrible but could be better). I found TopTen’s acting better than Michael. But the acting I like the least is probably the veteran who plays Inspector Sing’s dad.
If you are a fan of Pavel and Pooh and don’t mind horror, this is a great drama to watch. I am sure if you look closely, there are enough faults to pick on with the myth and crime aspects. But as a casual watcher, I had a pretty good job watching the drama. The pacing is not bad, the lead’s acting is good, and only with a few WTF plotholes moments that I question. If you are obsessed with Pavel like I am, definitely check this out! Giving this an extra 0.25 to a solid 8.5 because of my Pavel obsession. 🤣

I must be dreaming 'cause I don't believe in ghosts
This show scared me fucking shitless, I can't even lie, but it was good. Good to see Pooh Pavel again, especially in roles like this. I would give the show a 9 (8.9) out of 10. I am going to say what I liked, what I didn't, and then do an episode overview.Starting off with the plot. It was good, and a continuous plot, and didn't have a bunch of weird subplots that no one fucking cares about, it just had one big plot that was hard to follow a bit bc I don't gaf about lore, but still good and continuous. And it didn't fold in on itself, which I know is like the bare minimum for shows, but shows love to make everything so confusing and convoluted, and this show lowkey did that, but that was the point of the show. They had one murderer and a string of murder cases with a supernatural element, like the whole vibe is its mystery, but we aren't worried about someone's left grandma's right ass flying to Mars, everything is related to the plot. OUR COUPLES AND ALSO KING. So Thup and Singha, our main couple, love them. They had such a fun dynamic, and I wish the show had taken advantage of that more. I feel like they did a lot at the start, and then they put their romance-building on pause and kind of nuked. But yay, Pooh and Pavel did another fantastic job with this one, and their acting is a lot better in this one, so that is fun to see. Next up is our side couple, Sey and Darin. I DID NOT KNOW TOPTEN WAS TALLER THAN MICHAEL. OH MY GOD. It is so irrelevant to the plot, but holy moly, that is so fucking fun. These two have grown the most in my opinion, with acting, just a phenomenal job in this, and I love their dynamic and chemistry as well. Like getting over an ex, but you both aren't over each other, and it takes him almost dying for you to find that out, THAT IS SO FUN, MY SHOW IS ONNNN. And King, or Otto's character, holy fucking annoying, we did a phenomenal job on writing him to be the most annoying fucking bitch in the entire show, oh my god. But I have a newfound love for Otto because he is so fucking handsome and cute, oh my lord. I also like his character development. I really think him going into the cold room to take Sey's place, KNOWING that the killer was in there, was just so good to see, and I am glad they did that with him. The show scared me silly and literally had me on edge so fucking much. Also, the costumes and everything were really well done, and I enjoyed that bit. I think the start of the show set this up really well, especially with the mystery and love department. GOOD WRITING WITH MAKING THE VICTIMS FEEL REAL. Like going to the houses and seeing their faces, they are really people and not just victim characters, that was great. They like gave lore to everyone, besides a few of our PSID members (RIP Khem), but that was just so good, and they didnt have to do that, but they did and added more depth and made me care a little bit more. Back with topten, oh my lord, him and the V necks, HOW DO YOU SPELL WET AND FAST? ALSO. WHY DID WE GO FROM ALL CUTE TO JUST STRAIGHT SCARY AS FUCK. Also, when topten got run over, I was in class, and I fought demons for like an hour lmao. WHY DID HE FALL LIKE THAT? Pavel and his innocent eyes. Okay, so he has this very mahco persona, and he didnt really do this in piitbabe, but like for the two edging scenes in this, he does it, specifically episode 6 AND THE WAY HIS EYES GO ALL WIDE AND INNOCENT OH MY LORD. Great acting, babe, so great there's white stuff all over the screen now. The lore with the stitches was great, I liked that. THEY KNOW HOW TO SET THE FUCKING MOOD. I watched some of this in class with no volume, just cinematography and subtitles, and I was scared lmao. This show was unintentionally an interesting take on police brutality and bribery, and how big a problem it is. It's nice to see. Good writing with Dom's whole character being a puppet and lowkey insane, because why are you killing your own fucking friend, what the fuck. I like the twist, like I thought I was expecting them, but they threw me for loop after loop. The ending. They lowkey gave this shit the Vecna special, but the rest of it was written very somber and sad, and I liked that. Of course, we killed the guy and jailed Bom, but so many innocent lives were lost, and that was treacherous, oh my god, and we can never really move on from that. So I did enjoy that. And yeah!
They nuked the romance building at the halfway mark of the show. That pissed me off. We were doing so well, doing a slow burn correctly and taking things slow while also moving the plot along, AND THEN WE FUCKING NUKED IT FOR NO REASON. Like they just put the romance building on pause to lock into the case, but never went back to it until the end, and because of their failure earlier, it felt kind of empty. And, I am not saying shows need NC scenes to be good, but when you are gonna edge a couple of them, bruh, that is so annoying, and we never got a proper one after being edged this entire time, holy fuck. Like, bruh, no wonder the ghost was pissed, y'all keep edging her. My mom said everyone looks gay, and the start was confusing lmao, so I thought I would put that in dislikes lmao. Most women to ever be in a change show. HOW THEY CAME TO THE CONCLUSION WITH THE KILLING PEOPLE ON DIFFERENT DAYS OF THE WEEK WAS BEYOND ME. That hardly made any fucking sense, like what the fuck are we talking about? THE ADS. Holy ad, oh my lord. I know we need to fund all the houses we're going to and the makeup for the ghost, but holy ads, y'all were COCK BLOCKING MY SHIT. Thup apparently had a job? Bitch be for real, no, he fucking didnt. Conuity error, if I am remembering this correctly. So he has an aunt and uncle who raised him, right? But at the start, his ghost mom put him outside the temple and he grew up there. So how does that make any sense? I might be remembering that wrong, but that made no sense. The ghost choosing who she haunts, like most of them were the victims, and that would be fine, but she was haunting Sey, Mek, and Singha, but they weren't victims, so that doesn't make any sense, and she was just doing it for the love of the game. I do not understand. Our main couple started having bullshit issues, and it was so fucking irritating. My theory is everyone is fucking schizo because what the fuck. This is most likely a joke, but could have had a fire romance with Bom and King because Bom was so careful and nice to King in his own weird way, and I lowkey have made a couple edits of them lmao. Not too much, but this stuff did weigh the review down.
Overview time! I am going to say what episode everything comes from, so it is less confusing. 1: "This was lowkey fire, and I am for some reason watching it with my mom, who, in her words, everyone looks gay, and she's very confused." "I thought it was gonna be scarier and I'm glad it wasn't." I ATE MY WORDS. THIS WAS BEYOND SCARY, "she thinks Pavel is good-looking and “the rest look gay.” She was also going on and on about how Otto has no lips and how can you kiss him if he has no lips. GIRL, WATCH THE SHOW. 2: " INSPECTOR GOT ME ALL WET. OH MY GOD I LOVE POOH PAVEL SO MUCH I AM LOWKEY TWEAKING RN. Watched too much Bl because even with no sound, I am reading the shit in their voices. Change before we nuke Pooh Pavel, I am begging just one more show." THANK YOU CHANGE. 3: "The jumpscares are predictable, but that truly doesn't make me any less scared. Khemjira is scared of the jumpscares, fuck." THEY ARE EVEN WORSE, I FEAR, JUST BECAUSE OF ALL THE MAKEUP. 4: "Pavel fills out his shirts so nicely, oh my god. Not only is No Lip Boy BAD AT HIS JOB, but bro is out to get both of our couples rn. Okay, so Singha has developed some kind of crush on Thup, which is so fucking cute. Also love love our side couple." "I am gonna need them to sell these Polaroids for some mastur material." WHAT DID I SAY THIS? 6: "I NEED TO BE TIED DOWN, FUCKKK. OH MY GOD. I AM SO DONE, OH MY GOD. It's the puppy dog eyes that do it for me, I can't lie. The way they are so innocent, and THEY STAY SO INNOCENT EVEN THOUGH HE'S LITERALLY ON THE VERGE OF BLOWING HIS BACK OUT. OH MY GOD, I AM ALL THE WAY WET. The way Pavel's eyes go all innocent and like God, I can't explain it, but it makes their dynamic great." 7: "I am locked into the lore but also not that locked in lmao, so there might be some continuity errors, but ya girl wouldn't know bc I am either too scared or too busy beating my shit to all the sexy asses in this show." "I thought I was getting used to these jumpscares, like I know when to cover my eyes. THEY JUST GOT MY ASSS SO BAD. I heard the music stop, and it was already too late." Lmao. "HE JUST ATE MY ASS. HE TRYING TO SWITCHHH." 8: "The ghost probably pissed BECAUSE YALL KEEP EDGING HEERRRRRR. Thup wants that cookie so bad. A siutationship is the textbook definition of y'all, they a damn example in Urban Dictionary lmao." 9: "Wait, this is fun. He stitches the eyes so they can't come find him." 10: "An interesting take on police brutality and bribing and how big a problem it is, I like." "WE ARE NOT DEALING WITH THE DAMN SUPERNATURAL. HE IS A FUCKING HUMAN, LIGHT HIM UPPPPP. MY GIRL IS OUT HERE DYING FOR NO REASON. And bro talking about how he's gonna be the kid's dad, NIG LOCK IN THE WHOLE TEAM ABOUT TO DIE. uh I THINK KHEM IS SO FUCKING DEAD. Okay, Bom def has a thing for king bc why the fuck is he acting like that??? THUP HAS SURVIVAL INSTINCTS OF A MOTHERFCUKING PLASTIC BAG, YOU DUMB FUCKING BITCH." 13: "These guys have zero sense of urgency, and it's stressing me out." "FINALLY WE ARE USING OUR GUNS. Khem is so dead. They need me on this team. I would solo bom, his daddy, AND EVERY MOTHER FUCKING GHOSTS IN THIS SHOW. A never-ending cycle if he kills him, he’s just gonna be just as bad as the guy if he kills him, because he’s just gonna get haunted again, and it’s a never-ending fucking cycle. I’m pretty sure he got shot in the head. How the fuck is he still up? Where is Sey? There is a reason Singha is on the front fucking lines. I understand if you get your mouth sewn shut. But if you’re still alive, your heart is still beating, put your fucking hand in between the rope so it doesn’t strangle you when it pulls you up, dumb ass. At least the last thing he tried to see was his man, like that’s like till death do us part, I fear.It is all over, but at the cost of literally so many lives, I fear. Did we really win at the cost of literally so many fucking lives and so much undoable fucking trauma? Did we really fucking win, dude? They are better than me because if I were any of them, I would’ve quit my fucking job. I think that nobody is to blame for Singha getting literally choked out and dying. The only person who could’ve stopped that was Sey, and because he was the only one not chained up, but I’m like, he went to get medical supplies, but he should’ve unchained one of them before he went to get medical supplies, and it could’ve ended differently.I like the backstory with his mom, that’s why he has the protection because of his mom, that’s why, that is actually really sweet. I was not expecting that, that’s actually so sweet. Hospice is end-of-life care, holy sad. What the hell. Also, Sey is a bitch. Darin and Sey deal with death and bodies literally so much, but Mek is fucking sobbing, his goddamn eyes out, dude. Also, rip khem wth? Damn, y’all almost got me with this. I'm almost crying. King is still not over him. What the fuck. 8.5 ending. They lowkey gave it the Vecna special at the start, and then they had this somber travesty ass vibe for the rest of it. I am going to need a special episode to make up for the scenes where we go edged."
This was really good, I just wish they did the romance writing and building better, and it would have been a 10 lowkey. Very scary and very fun. Okay bye!

Great Murder Mystery But Dumb Love Story
Visually, this series certainly has its selling points. And it sure starts out with a fascinating and dynamic introduction. Certainly, one cannot argue with the dynamics of the storyline; they are intriguing and entertaining. Oh, by the way, there is also a love story, actually two, thrown in as a ruse to throw you off guard from the gruesomeness. I simply do not consider the focus primarily a BL, however. This is a very involved murder-mystery involving occult, supernatural spiritualism, ancient sorcery and utterly inept police work in order to stretch the story out to 13 episodes. So much of this story was so contrived that after a while, I was getting rather bored with the incompetence of the police and the dumbness of the leadership from the police echelon. In today’s world, it would be understandably hard to accept the abilities and trust the reliance of spiritualists who claim to see ‘ghosts’ as the basis for solving crimes. While I am not questioning such practices or beliefs, this story frankly carried it to an extreme, bordering on all kinds of creatures, both human and spirits, acting completely irrational. That I had a hard time wrapping my head around as a person who tries to see the world through some sort of logical lens in a world right now that is not showing much signs of being very logical. I wish these series would start to grow-up and present straightforward relationship developments without all the fluff and side-shows for a change. I do not want to have to dig to find the BL.Was this review helpful to you?
Had high hopes but...
Goddess Bless You from Death should have been my favourite show this year. It had everything that I love. An MC that can see ghosts and is tortured by it, a murder mystery, police getting involved, a love interest that doesn't believe in ghosts but is still overprotective of our MC. I adore these things and I was ecstatic that we got a BL with an interesting plot. But I was disappointed by the end. Why? I had two major issues. One, was that the plot went downhill fast. At first, it was very intriguing but by episode 6 it started getting boring and honestly didn’t make sense.
The other thing was the acting. Pooh’s performance was such a disappointment. I honestly hoped he had improved since pit babe but nope, still the same. Thup’s character was so interesting, but Pooh didn’t manage to do him justice. You could really see that when Thup was getting attacked. You just couldn’t really see him being genuinely scared. On the other hand, Pavel and Topten were phenomenal.
On that note, I actually found the second couple more interesting that our main couple. I wish we could have seen more of them.
Overall, I was disappointed by the show but it was still somewhat enjoyable.
PS. The special effects and make up were some of the best I have seen in a series of this genre.

Uninteresting police work that got dumber in the final arc
This mystery BL drama is centred around a duo of investigators : Thup (played by Pooh), a citizen who shares deep knowledge on paranormal local folklore and detective Singha, a non believer in the occult powers. The duo is working well and the actors have stepped up a bit their acting games since their last series. However, if their overall acting felt better, their chemistry in this drama felt less good to me. I honestly felt the romance was not organic enough, often awkwardly set up in the midst of dark crimes...Instead of bringing light and happy parenthesis, it made them often looks like not focus enough on the criminal case.
I had real trouble to feel invested in the story as it features a lot of quite mid and uninteresting police work which got dumber as the story progressed, cumulating into pure idiocy by the end. The investigation felt very draggy : it was impossible for me to get invested into the resolution of the mystery. Even worse, I never could get onboard with the secondary romance. Their minimal backstory made it impossible to root for them. I also think actors playing those roles have a much more limited / interesting range of acting.
The production value was super good with very well made horror and visual effects, making it even more annoying to witness the illogical reactions of the characters that makes no sense. In addition to the ghosts being quite frightening, the dark magic was gritty and believable, and there were a couple of very effective jump scares. The OST was alright overall as well (while maybe a tad overused with its violin theme)...It is therefore very frustrating to see how the writing brought the level of the series down.
I would not recommend this to people. Despite the core idea of the story and the reasoning behind the crime being gruesome and interesting, the writing was quite weak with some very frustrating and poor police work, showcasing characters repetitively making very dumb choices ad nauseam. The romances were also a mixed bag with average chemistry and a useless secondary couple. Pacing was also a weak point : the series would likely have benefited from a tighter 8-10 episodes format.

Great performance
Judging from episode one, it’s off to a great start! hopefully they maintain this momentum and pace!I can already feel the chemistry between Singha and Thup, though I’m still curious why he took him home so quickly! 😅
The plot is engaging, and the OST is absolutely beautiful.
Pavel’s acting, especially his micro-expressions, is spot on as always! He’s clearly been a great influence on Pooh, whose ability to emote through his eyes and expressions genuinely impressed me. They’re both doing an amazing job so far!
Say’s character also feels quite different from North, so I’m really looking forward to seeing more of him.
Overall, it’s a solid start! just a few odd cuts here and there, but nothing to worry about. It actually feels like Change took the critics to heart this time! 👏

Expect a unique storyline, great break from recycled tropes and settings.
This was a refreshing watch, the OST was really good and the show knew how to set the mood for many of the heavier scenes. I liked that the romance didn't give me whiplash and was naturally sprinkled in the story, their development was fast but steady and with no crazy hiccups or unnecessary angst in the middle. The character of Thup was so lovely. I really liked how Pooh portrayed Thup, he easily became one of the most loveable characters of the show and some people criticise Pooh's acting but I think he fit Thup very very well and even the weak moments weren't THAT bad that it renders the show unwatchable. I absolutely loved the choice of giving him heterochromia and then barely addressing it, it made it so much cuter and the audience could simply accept it with no fancy explanations, I loved how even the scenes of Thup as a babie had different colored eyes. Hands down one of the best stylistic choices for a character I've seen in these BLs. It was perfect.
The show had it's ups and downs, wasn't without any plot holes and definitely didn't really fully go into all the ghost and fantasy aspects but I still liked the depth, it was just right and easy to understand for most people.
Last two episodes could've definitely been written better but a fine ending nonetheless and it's nothing so bad, aside from a bit of rage baiting the audience, that should be reason enough to drop the show.
Darin and Sey were...interesting. I didn't feel all that attached to them, their angst was a bit stupid to me and I liked them individually but as a side couple they were a bit all over the place. That said, I liked their dynamic by the last episodes as Darin finally could respect Sey's beliefs and even share them with him a bit.
Now, lastly, Inspector Singha. What a character. He was honestly just the right mix of bashful, serious, and cheeky. Pavel did amazing as him. I loved the styling for him and how you could tell just from the back that it was P'Singha on the screen. His character was very likeable too and although a bit mean and stupid sometimes- (cough cough last two episodes) he still landed perfectly as a good morally correct police officer, friend, and eventually lover to Thup. And that was quite nice to watch.
Thup and Singha were really good together and they really did become each other's family.
Please watch this if you're like me and are always looking for something new and nice

Really cute main couple, but there was some inconsistencies with the story that were hard to ignore
first off, let me start this by saying I by no means disliked this show. I loved it. There were, however, multiple times during the story where I was confused. What was the point of Ta Khuean? And why did it matter that he was also a police officer who lived in the same town as Atikun, when it was obvious he didn't do it? why did they continue investigating Khuean, even after he called a victim who was already dead? If he was the killer, why would he call? Why did none of these people use their guns until the last two episodes? Why did King go into the cooler without a gun? Why were they not frantically searching for King when he was kidnapped, and why did we need a love scene when there were more important things at stake? I was also disappointed with how obvious it was who Atikun was.I know I rambled a lot, and it seems like I'm upset about the show, but honestly I still really enjoyed the characters, and the cuteness between the main couple made up for all of the confusing plot lines.
