Did anyone else hate the male lead? Like, chaeni literally sacrifices herself dies for him (not knowing she'll come back to life) and he betrays her for information on his mum and refuses to make any attempt to save her for an entire day until he's convinced by her friend and grandma. I genuinely could not move past that, like the show treats him like a good person but he's so selfish and inconsiderate! Even if he was that desperate, could he not have made some attempt to save her immediately after he got the whereabouts of his mother? Could he not have found another way to obtain the information?

He, who watched his closest friend be tortured because of his immortality, was not just willing but took the steps to have Chaeni undergo the exact same thing by the hands of the exact same organisation. And he is forgiven instantly! His trauma is not a good enough explanation to excuse this behaviour. It's so 😡, I genuinely thought the possibility of him being a male lead would be revoked after that, but no, pretty privilege strikes again. I really wish they just maintained a platonic relationship and Chaeni could find someone who's actually deserving of her love.

Also, can we talk about episode 2 where he literally tries to kill her to figure out if she's the child of immortality? 😭 This man was messed up from the start.
