Superb
The story was unique and the casts did a good job.Each role was delivered and good acting from drama to hilarious set up.
So i would recommend it that you watch it.
It wil be not a waste of time since it has a moral lesson.

Great Character Development
This was really good. Great character development, and in general character arcs for every character, including all the villains made total sense. I liked that most of them were toeing in the shades of gray.Great quality production too. Awesome fight scenes. As far as entertainment value it was good.
I do think some villains didn’t need to have that many draggy scenes. And last few episodes could have been longer but overall one of the better costume dramas I’ve seen this year. I’m enjoying all the new empowering female leads in C-dramas in general this year. I’m glad the immature bubbly ones are fading away.

Good brother and sister, but tooo good siblings bond
First of all its a good revenge drama where everyone has revenge with eachother, first few episodes somewhat similar to shadow love but later story as a unique plot very very unique wow what a siblings love!!!No matter what mistake she made brother supports her this is not a love this is what called as spoiling too much.. if it was my brother he will definitely poison me kill me where I betray the king and first Prince episodes. As a member from royal family how blindly she was !! a idiot .story starts with FL change to ML and later changed to Sister and FL ML becomes their guards..I love xia jingyan funny and angry mode ,he loved her truly but she used him as a pawn. CZY is a cute handsome man no matter how much he try I can't see him as a cold killer god. He's trying so hard even lot of makeup to portray him as a killer god but he looks cute he is not fit for this kind of plot. No matter what how much he try he cannot become ANNAN WANG . All this is my POV ,my opinion don't mind me just a review, if u want u can watch gohead. Happy watching

10/10 you won't be disappointed
Wooo this is my second best C drama for this year. Great story and great actors. All the evil people got what they deserved none was shown mercy. The evil people were revealed in the story earlier which is great. Overall this drama exceeded my expectations. I loved the music, it contributed to the emotion.Was this review helpful to you?

An historical fantasy with more flesh than hearts
There is a lot of good in this drama, unfortunately is is overshadowed by a lot of boredom and things that just do not make any sense, att all making me wonder if this is more fantasy than an historical-While the enemies to lovers is done pretty well and there are some sweet characters as well as pretty moments. The over all feel to this is:
WTF? But also and oh come on writers you can do better than this, and oh so boring... before it finally got interesting towards the end as it picked up some pace.
The amount of times the line "We used to be like brothers" is said would make for a deadly drinking game, but also kind of looses its meaning in the traditional sense as brotherhood really does not equal any type of love in this drama and is in now way a guarantee for not plotting to kill each other be it biological or circumstantial bonds.
No one in this seems to understand the notion of consequences to ones actions and the lack of letting others speak to point or actually listening to the other is astonishing.
Oh father I never thought you would be affected by me plotting treason, with the enemy because clearly at the time family didn't matter for that stuff? There is also this I love you come back to me...You were my best friend how did we end up like this... Well Im no expert but trying to kill your lover, your best friend, brother, sister, mother, mentor and all they ever loved kind of puts a strain on a relationship...
The romantic twists are oh so predictable and I do believe we got to see an historical version of early 2000 toxic male leads in one of the side couples. "no one has ever talked to me like that...."
"I have never seen a woman as stupid as you" - is probably the most honest line and only honest line in the whole drama speaking the minds of the viewers.
Other lovely moments include: I have experienced 30 seconds of kindness from this man, now I shall throw away all the bonds I ever had with my family, the kingdom I grew up in and follow him blindly in to enemy territory.... Because I love him so...
The way some people die from bearely being touched by a sward while others have super flesh that can flash heal from pretty much any wound is nothing short of a 1000 miracles. No matter where the sward or arrow hit the leads of this drama will survive... As long as they know how to love you know they will be alive.

its bloody bloody amazing
this drama has a medieval feel to it more blade slashing than finger swishing type which i like just without the explicit scene which i wont mind if they add given every body is soo good looking.
the lovestory of two bullheaded individuals was so fun to watch. they stand equal side by side supporting each other. while pointing blades at each other on the side
Feng Suige, the contrast of his look from his character the boyish charm with killer swag. the cunning warlord yet loving brother.
i love that his biggest heartbreak was not from Yixiao but from his sister. the disappointment and heartache reflect from the screen.
Fu Yixiao i think most if not everybody was charmed by this female general its far far from the others portrayal (no shade intended). she is stern has the presence and movement of a general.
and probably not a popular opinion i like that they wrapped up their lovestory early. their feelings for each other confirmed, the kiss, the intimate moment (supposedly 🤗🫢). i like it this way.
This is an ensemble piece it is not just the love story of the main lead.
This is also a story of Fathers love to his kidd
The emperor with his sparta style of parenting i would like think that he wants to make sure that Suige has built enough grit to bear the weight of the throne (my opinion)
Murong zhong who loved his son blindly to the point of betraying his country and moral.
by the way All unsucessful way of parenting.

Xia Jingyan and Xiyang the crazy couple. enough said just crazy crazy crazy.
my only beef with this series is they have sooo many villain but they are all weak especially murong yao. Xia jing shi towards the end was ok . i like how he tricked the empress of jinxiu.
but all in all 10/10

Abundance with a literally whipped power couple
Currently I am rewatching the drama for the first time since it aired.Time, to take in all the details I missed the first time around. Especially when another drama aired nearly the same time and had one in its emotional clutches.
FH is visually stunning. The costumes, the decorations, the actors, the supporting cast - everything is beautiful and color saturated down to the last detail. Add the amazing OST, and the first word, which comes to mind when describing this show is abundance.
From the cast the ML was the only one I knew beforehand from the drama “Hidden Love”. There I didn’t found his acting bad, but I wasn’t overly impressed either. But the whole drama HL was lukewarm imo.
Now here in FH?
CZY and CL aced their roles together with their supporting cast. No complaints. No notes.
The only one, whose acting needs some serious additional work is Chen He Yi. Dude, show us some emotions! Yes, you play a calculating, suppressed character. But where is the suppressed rage or grief or regret? Where are the micro expressions, the small gestures, the expressions in your eyes?
And yes, weirdly enough, I surprised myself, when towards the end of the drama I enjoyed the parts with the unhinged emperor of the opposing country the most.
Which brings me to the script and the writing.
Praise and compliments to the writers for the emperor character JingYan! Most fascinating role for sure and the actor nailed it.
The rest of the - again, LOL - abundance of villains could have used some more logic to their villain behavior. Their reasoning felt flat most of the time and more like a plot device. But overall the main story with its subplots was well written and played out at a good pace. It kept me engaged and entertained until the end.
The body count in this drama is high. Don’t start a drinking game to the words “k*** him”, because you will otherwise end up under the table in no time. 😅
The chemistry and romance between our main couple was there and believable. They spared each other in the beginning nothing. Including the whipping. The enemy to lovers trope was well written. Thankfully the FL remained a badass until the finish line.

Strong leads, well written villains - action packed - favorite C-drama of 2025 thus far!
Fated Hearts does an outstanding job of providing depth and backstory to its characters. I was entertained the whole way through.I loved that both the female and male lead were strong characters - ready to kick ass. The enemy to lovers aspect was fun. I had only seen Chen Zheyuan in Hidden Love prior to this, and I am not much of a fluff lover so he didn't interest me there. He is SO GOOD in Fated Hearts, 10/10 he owned the role of Feng Suige. This has made me a fan. As for Li Qin, I had only seen her in Joy of Life, and I basically only remembered her as the sickly chicken drumstick eating girl. But when I saw her here as a bad ass general, I was *sold.* Our leads were fantastic together and I am so glad I got to see these two in another light. I didn't pick this show because I was a big existing fan of them, but I came away being one.
I loved that the villains were given a point of view, so much that you could empathize with them. I could accept their madness and understand their motivation. Qin Tian Yu (Xia Jinyan) gave a brilliant performance and I came to really enjoy his character despite his character having a vile backstory. I also was expecting Princess Royal level madness from Chen He Yi, (Xia Jinshi) and he did not disappoint.
The revenge in this story is satisfying, and it is not limited to simply one character as there are multiple revenge plots ongoing. I ate all of it up - I LOVED the intensity. All in all, a beautifully done drama. Highly recommended if you're a fan of big drama, want to see revenge come full circle, and don't mind some court politics.

Went right to the top of my list!!!
I went into this drama with modest expectations, as I'm not usually drawn to the typical "pretty boy" aesthetic. I was therefore blown away by how much I enjoyed it. It's one of the rare series that maintains its energy and quality straight through to the final episode. The writing is superb: the plot is well-paced, filled with healthy communication, and refreshingly free of contrived misunderstandings. I was especially impressed that it avoided pitting siblings against each other for cheap drama.Both leads were genuinely compelling and capable. The female lead, in particular, is a masterclass in how to write a true bad-ass female general—this was authentic strength, not tokenism. She was consistently "standing on business," and I loved that she was never a damsel in distress; if anything, she rescued him more often than not. An incredibly refreshing drama that has easily earned a spot at the top of my list.

-Solid plot, weak romance-
As a picky c-drama watcher "Fated hearts" has everything I look for in a historical Chinese drama with its great production considering the costumes and settings, and -most importantly- a mentally and physically strong female lead (FL) who seeks justice for herself and prioritises what matters most to her above everything else.In terms of the general plot, it is pretty intriguing and fast-paced, keeping you eager for the next episode.
What surprised me the most positively, was the importance put on the exploration of the dynamics between the characters (mostly in the first half), contrary to most dramas in which political schemes take over making the story draggy and boring.
Talking about the romance, at first the enemies-to-lovers premise was really well written and I genuinely found myself excited about the development expecting a slow burn.
Unfortunately, I ultimately did find the romance very lacking. Firstly, the relationship developed too suddenly, changing completely the intense and well thought dynamic of the first episodes. Secondly, even though I find the actress playing the FL fitting for the role of the strong heroine, her delivery felt too stoic and inevitably lacking in terms of showing affection towards her love interests.
Overall the chemistry was very weak and the kisses were truly a huge letdown accompanied by the same 3 OSTs each and every time which did not help.
Overall I do recommend "Fated hearts" to historical drama lovers as it excels where many other dramas fall short.
Nevertheless, I rated this drama a 7.5 mostly for the disappointing romance and the overcomplicated plot of the last 10 episodes (which I ended up skipping through) .
All in all, these elements made it hard for me to really get emotionally engaged and I ended up finishing it just to see how the dynamics between the secondary characters would change.
