Revenge is a dish best served with green beans
Let's be real. Could I resist a series called " Until I Destroy my Husband's Family"? Nope, I couldn't.Otto no Katei wo Kowasu made may have been a low budget series and may have gotten a bit draggy towards the end, but no one can deny that it was entertaining.
Matsumoto Marika is splendidly overacting from beginning to end, as many of the actors and actresses in the series. I may have not read the manga, but the drama definitely had the right vibes. The plot itself was entertaining for the most part, even though there were some predictable moments, especially if you have watched similar series in the past. The ending was not that great, writing-wise, but it was good enough. Lastly, thumbs up to the people responsible for the music (♪ Galileo Galileiii ♪)!
In simple words, Until I Destroy my Husband's Family is an entertaining revenge drama, that would definitely benefit from less episodes, a higher budget and a better written ending.

When payback is being handled, there will be drama!
With the drama titled "Until I Destroy My Husband's Family" the storyline points towards being a heavy revenge-driven drama. Which it definitely is!The plot is wrapped in a slice of life- and thrilleresque way which drives forward the plot unveiling of a long scam.
Minori, the female lead, actress portrays her with so many emotions which is a huge interested from my perspective. The silent
retribution she takes is beyond gratifying!
A big part of setting the tone to the drama is the music. Both the opening and ending songs add character to the plot and is incorporated to add the finesse and the emotions when needed. Not only that, they come to be very catchy!
After finishing the show, I did believe that the drama sadly dragged on for too long. After a dramatic vengeance that was wrapped up and with various episodes to go before the end, the show lost the "spark" it previously had as it now tackled the characters trying to move on from the events. As the revenge no longer drives the story forward, romance and angst took its place. The ending wasn't perfect and turned more into soap drama.
Given that, I do think this is a fun watch if you are looking for a revenge drama with dramatics. And if the music hooks you in, you know you will be watching the story unfold!

Best cheating revenge drama
Never thought it would be this entertaining. I love all the plot twist in this the drama..Really can't expect what comes next. Love how they arrange the story and when to reveal the secret behind everything.
If you're looking for a satisfying revenge drama, this is it. The actors really did a good job bring the character to life. I'm satisfied for every act the main character do. All the culprit get what they deserve.
The best about this drama is, it teach you in a fair way, just because you're a victim didn't mean other people didn't get hurt too. and when you think you have hurt other people, you might have hurt yourself too. :)

Fluff is not what to expect from a revenge drama, but the first half of the series can easily drained you by watching the characters slowly revealing their true characters and turning against the female lead (Minori). This makes it clear that some people are disgusting in nature to the point beyond help, and as Minori pointed out to Riko in the rooftop scene, people who hurt their closest ones don't deserve sympathy. The pain from deception and betrayal leaves a long scar that prob takes many years to heal. I was satisfied with Minori's father siding with her and helping her to fulfill her revenge, then I was dissapointed in the second half of Minori's redemption arc because she basically got swayed by a younger man who used to be her student and also her ploy for revenge. For a second, I thought I was watching chuukagusei nikki because it felt like a sudden change of narrative. Although it is entertaining to watch, the romance between them felt forced and didn't make any sense. I was happy with Minori's choice of her being independent and her belief that a woman doesn’t need a man to be happy. The story should have ended there, with Riko starting a new life with her daughter, Yudai and his mom getting their consequences, and Wataru starting his career, it would have been a satisfying conclusion. Rating: 8/10. Watch if you like dark psychological drama around marriage and affairs.

A Perfect Life, A Perfect Lie: The Most Satisfying Revenge Drama I’ve Seen
The moment this drama was announced and I saw the casting, I **knew** this was going to be a banger. No doubts. No hesitation. I waited forever to watch it, and finding subtitles felt like a full-time job 😭 but once I finally did… let me just say: this drama made me thirsty and then **overfed me**. If you know, you KNOW.Plot*
The story follows Minori, a woman who truly believed she had the perfect life. She married her high school sweetheart, Yudai, and they have a son together. From the outside, everything looks stable, loving, and normal. That illusion completely shatters when Minori finds cryptic messages on her husband’s phone. Something feels off, so she decides to follow him. What she witnesses is beyond anything she could have imagined. Her husband meets up with a high school boy. Together, they go to a restaurant where they are joined by a woman. What Minori watches unfold is the perfect picture of a family celebrating the wife’s birthday. That’s how she discovers the truth: Her husband has been cheating on her for 15 years and He has a second family. Instead of confronting him right away, Minori decides to take revenge. She joins the cram school where the high school boy studies, posing as a teacher, determined to uncover everything about her husband’s other life.
Why This Drama Is Different
What makes this drama so clever is its structure. Usually, in revenge dramas, once the revenge is executed, the antagonists disappear and the story wraps up. Not here!
In this drama, we get four full episodes where the “bad guys” strike back. The roles reverse, and suddenly we’re watching Minori deal with the consequences of her own actions. The revenge doesn’t end it mutates.
It is SO hard for me to review this without spoilers because this is one of those dramas you *have* to experience blind. Every twist lands harder because you don’t see it coming.
Honestly?
This surpassed all my expectations. Hands down, one of the best Japanese revenge dramas I’ve ever watched. It gives proper closure to every character, and when it ended, all I wanted was amnesia so I could watch it again for the first time and relive that emotional rollercoaster.
Acting (aka: PERFECTION)
*Takezai Terunosuke* one of my all-time favorite actors, was incredible, as always. He is *so* good at playing morally questionable, unsettling characters. I love him every time, no matter how much I hate his role.
And * Matsumoto Marika* as Minori? Absolutely terrifying. Absolutely brilliant. Marika nails the female rage !
The facial expressions. The controlled madness. The way her anger simmers just beneath the surface. I was genuinely scared of her and I mean that as the highest compliment. She made Minori feel painfully real, and I lived every single emotion with her.
Please, do not miss this drama.
It’s intense, smart, unsettling, emotional, and deeply satisfying.
This one stays with you long after the credits roll.
