Irresistible Chemistry, Heart-Fluttering Moments and a Few Frustrations!
Dai Gao Zheng and Chen Fang Tong strike again with their insane chemistry! I’ll try to keep this spoiler-free, but let’s start with the pros—this drama has even more swoon-worthy kisses and interactions than their previous ones, making it my favorite in the romance department.I love that the female lead is strong and takes the initiative, even making the male lead a little shy, which was adorable. The story hooks you right away, but around episode 20, it starts to drag because of frustrating side characters who exist just to create chaos. My advice? Ignore them and focus on the leads to save yourself from the frustration!
I do wish the leads communicated more since there were a lot of misunderstandings. The plot was messy, which lowers the rating, but their incredible chemistry makes up for it. A nice touch was including an OST from their second drama, Forever Love, along with a great new one.
Would I rewatch? Absolutely—for their scenes alone! Plus, they’ve just wrapped filming their fourth drama together, and I can’t wait to see it. Oh, and if you love their chemistry as much as I do, I’ve compiled a Drive full of their cutest behind-the-scenes moments—check the discussion for the link!

second leads that are incapable of accepting rejection
Rainkissed Fate starts off quickly by thrusting you into the messy relationship of Yuchen and Bu Yan as the pair sign a marriage contract for three months. From the start this drama is chaotic and passionate. Bu Yan approaches Yuchen and practically forces him into the marriage contract and it is revealed very early that Bu Yan's insistence is because Yuchen is the unknowing father of her 5 year old twins and she needs to conceive another child in order to save her son who has cancer. Yuchen agrees to the marriage for money and because his sick mother wants him to settle down. From the premise I already had a bad taste in my mouth with the idea that she was conceiving another child only to save her first. While I liked that Bu Yan is strong, independent, and fiercely protective of her children I also did not understand the point in keeping the parentage a secret for 5 years and still so after going back to Yuchen. Yuchen was another strong character with a chip on his shoulder but soft innards and a sense of loyalty. He comes off as mean and avoidant but not for very long.
To be honest any enjoyment you can get out of this series is from the chemistry of the main pair. This is their third porject together and do very well. But the characters that are crafted in this drama make it incredibly painful to try and get through. Both main characters may be strong and sure of themselves but are so easily manipulated repeatedly that by the end of the series you are just as annoyed with their stupidity as the plot that kept using the same devices. The second female and male lead are insufferable from the first episode all the way to the last. There is nothing redeeming about either one and at no point did I enjoy seeing them on screen. The SFL is the typical obsessed woman in a small town that laid a claim on a man that has had absolutely no interest in her and yet she continues to try and force him to want her over and over again. The SML is the returned ex that realized he made a mistake and wants her back but she no longer wants him so he tries to force her to need him/
The drama is messy and driven only through the main pair being constantly manipulated by every insufferable person around them. I think I only managed to get all the way through this drama because it was a mini and each episode was 10 minutes but the further I got the more I skipped just to see how much worse the plot could get. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. The chemistry and visuals will not save this one. There are so many other mini dramas that your time would be better spent on.
I am giving this a 5 purely because the show is styled very well, the acting is good even though the characters are poorly written, and the music is nice. So kudos to the crew. However the plot is a total miss for me.

My official IT couple of 2024 living better than my expectations in 2025
I genuinely can’t remember the last time I wished a series had more episodes. This one? So good. So addictive. I don’t even have the words.First of all, Dai Gao is my absolute favorite. Second, Chen Fang Tong—another favorite. And third, these two together? My official IT couple of 2024. They’ve completely hijacked my brain, and honestly, I’m not even mad about it.
Now, about the plot—yes, it was a little repetitive and predictable, but it was also fast-paced, heartwarming, and ridiculously enjoyable. The story goes: they spend a night together (for whatever reason), but no strings attached. They part ways. ML falls in love after that night but can't find her, so he just suffers in silence. Then, bam—six years later, she reappears with five-year-old twins. ML has no idea if he’s the father. They start living together under “special circumstances,” and voilà—feelings develop.
But let’s be real—the main highlight was, once again, the electric chemistry between Dai Gao and Chen Fang Tong. These two were already good, but this time? They shattered their own record. The level of comfort they share in both playful and intense scenes is so obvious, it makes me want to ship them in real life (assuming they’re not already taken, of course). The way Dai Gao instinctively places his hand behind her head or waist—to either protect her from injury or balance his weight on her—like, sir, calm down, even real husbands don’t operate at this level of care. I swear, I watch him with glittery eyes 🥺 every time he does this. This man is too good to be true.
Chen Fang Tong, on the other hand, balances his intense presence perfectly. While Dai Gao exudes a seductive and serious aura, she brings an adorable, sweet, and playful energy. I could write an entire book on them, but let’s not get carried away. Moving on!
Now, onto the characters.
ML is a boxer (though someone please explain why he keeps kicking in fights—since when do boxers do that?). He’s a kind soul, a hardworking man who chases his passion and holds onto his morals, only to be defeated by fate (okay, fine—by FL’s rich father).
FL, on the other hand, is the definition of a powerhouse. A young single mother, a responsible, rich, resourceful, and successful businesswoman, the financial provider for her family—she’s not the type to chain a man down just because she accidentally got pregnant with his kids (not to mention, she was under the influence at the time). She’s inspiring, independent, and everything a leading lady should be.
Now, villains? Oh, we got a villain duo + one vamp package. The villains have conflicting interests, while the vamp—your standard, low-IQ woman—throws herself at ML from every possible angle. Her tricks? So repetitive they could be copy-pasted into every drama ever.
The music? Absolute banger. The OST/BGM, especially Rain Love, had me in my feelings.
But we’re here to nitpick even perfection, right? So, let’s talk about the issues.
1. Their past is barely addressed. Like, give me something. We never get a proper explanation of how they met, what led to that fateful night, or why FL never told ML about her pregnancy. I get that she’s a woman of high pride, but some men (the good ones, anyway) actually want to be involved in their children’s lives. They want to take responsibility, cherish fatherhood, and watch their kids grow. If ML was the father, he deserved to know. Period.
2. Ten out of thirty episodes were spent applying ointment to each other’s wounds. At this point, they could’ve bagged an ointment sponsorship deal if they had just tried.
But aside from those minor complaints? Chef’s kiss. This drama was perfect to my taste, and I’ll definitely be rewatching it. Because why not?
Anyway, this was one hell of a long review—hope you don’t mind! See you in the next one. Byeee!

I just finished 30 episodes today.. for me overall this drama is worth watching for the short drama category.. even though there are a few scenes that I noticed were wrong or didn't make sense.. I'll just act like I didn't see anything Hahahaha.. The chemistry between the two main characters is undeniable.. both of them are very good at acting even though this is just a short drama but I really like the characters and acting delivered by both of them. What they tried to convey through their acting really got to me.. the anger, the happiness, the sadness, the rage, the sweetness, their bond with the children really got through. (i dont know about others but this is my opinion). I like episode 29 the most haha.As for the plot, for me it's a bit vague but still in an organized stage, I don't know if it's still not satisfying for me, either there's no fixed purpose or they ignored the main purpose, but this story is still well presented, it's just that again and again I wish the plot was clearer.. maybe because this is just a short drama so everything happens quickly and in the blink of an eye they just skip scenes that I think should be there for all the viewers not to wonder what really happened.
As for the music, a big yes for me.. the OST for this drama is so good that it's ringing in my head.. I also noticed in a few episodes that there was Forever Love's OST which made me have a moment of deja vu lol.. but overall the music presented was very appropriate at certain times and that was good..
And as for me, of course I will be rewatching this drama because I really like seeing the chemistry presented by Dai Gao Zheng and Chen Fang Tong.. they both managed to make me grin like crazy.. I hope both of them continue to move forward and become more widely known for the works they have produced.. because they are truly one of the best short drama actors in my opinion.. I also hope fans don't ship them excessively because we as fans should support whatever is best for both of them (although I actually like seeing both of them acting together)..
Lastly, thank you for the happy ending director hehe.
See you everyone at the fourth daichen reunion!!

Rainkissed Fate: A Drama That Thrives on Chemistry, Not Logic
These two are back at it again with their insane chemistry! The story is kinda whatever, but the leads? They’ll have you hooked. And let’s be real—Dai Gaozheng is the real reason to watch. The way he looks at her, the little smirks, the effortless charm… he makes every scene feel like something bigger. If anything, watch it just to see him do what he does best—steal every moment effortlessly! That being said, I could never understand why she never told him the truth from the start. Like, how is a secret more important than your son's life? The whole thing just felt so unrealistic.
And don’t even get me started on how convenient everything was. The match-fixing scandal, the sudden reappearance, the over-the-top misunderstandings—it’s like they threw in every cliché possible without thinking if it actually made sense. The drama survives purely because of the leads. Dai Gaozheng carries every scene he's in, and his chemistry with Chen Fangtong is the only reason I kept watching. If you're here for logic, good luck. But if you're here just to watch them together, it’s worth it.
These two are ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

Diabetes, Pregnancy and Headache
There is no doubt that Chen Fang Tong and Dai Gao Zhen have natural chemistry, and they once again display every ounce of that chemistry in this show. As a result of their sweetness, I developed diabetes, and as a result of their hotness, I became pregnant (LOL). The face slapping by the female lead (I love it). And, importantly, a shout-out to Dai Gao Zhen. Without a doubt, he prepared for this role and put in the necessary effort, showing Dai Gao Zhen's dedication (Someone, plz, get him in a full-length action-packed drama, maybe some MMA-style role). Generally, I enjoy watching this show and find it entertaining. The dynamic between the two leads is intense and captivating, making their interactions a highlight of the show.NOW, WHAT I DISLIKE: THIS IS NOT SHOCKING, as there is nothing I hate more than obsessive second leads who cannot take the hint or accept NO.
I dislike ML and FL family members and the second leads; I cannot stand their annoyingness. This drama's two-second leads rank high on my list of second leads I want to strangle. They also do not understand the concepts of "maybe this person is just not into you," "the heart wants what the heart wants," and "you cannot force love." They exist solely to interfere with the main couple's relationship, which is highly frustrating, makes my blood boil, and gives me headaches.
Everyone should be able to enjoy this drama if they do not take it too seriously and enjoy the ride since it is entertaining and fun.

Fun Watch
I don't have too much to say about this drama. I just watched it all in one sitting and it was fun. This is a web series so my expectations for production and everything is not the same as a regular drama and I also am not as familiar with C-Dramas as K-dramas but I saw this pop up and thought it would be fun. The only thing that really truly bothered me is that they never gave the main lead an undershirt for his suit. We couldn't afford an undershirt for the wedding fr?? The show is engaging and worth a watch if you are bored and looking to watch cheesy drama unfold! Was this review helpful to you?

Only if you are used to short-lenght format : this one is hot !
short format (30 X 15") mixed Action - Rom.The FL, heiress, and the ML (a boxing champion framed in a fixed match) were drugged to spend the night together & ruin their reputation. 6 years later, the FL returns with twins and signs a marriage contract with the ML (she desire to be pregnant again to save her leukemic son). They will fall in love again, and untie the knots of the past, despite the shenanigans of love rivals.
+++ The actors (including Dai Gao Zheng who are excellent) do what theit everthing to make this story believable. An electric alchemy in the CL, very sensual with hot kisses in each episode.
BUT
### Incoherent story, full of clichés/plotholes/nonsense => Flaws of short formats where everything is rushed!
### Low-budget series (few sets, few costumes) and it shows!!
=> Entertaining for an evening, nothing more, (even if Dai Gao Zheng is hot)!
***********************************************************
format court (30 X 15") mixt Act - Rom.

Intense Romance
I would say this is the first short series that I have watched that has actually not traumatized me... it wasn't stressful to watch.. I didn't feel like I survived through it because usually in these short dramas there's usually so much chaos happening that you are stressed out the entire show...This drama however was different and also the storyline was also very different... not the typical revenge plot they usually do...
I thoroughly enjoyed this series and the two main leads have great chemistry....
SPOILER: There's kids involved 🤭🤭
But overall Id definitely say this is a drama worth watching atleast once... 10/10

A web drama well done
Look, I have been in a string of poorly made web-dramas. When it wasn't the performances, it was the infuriating storyline; or both. And I am no fool, I know the golden rule it's to leave logic at the door of the first episode to be able to enjoy them but lately it's been really bad, fam.I started watching Rainkissed Fate with no expectations ,and maybe that helped but honestly? I think this is actually a solid drama. Yes, the story is wild and as I mentioned before I left logic behind, but the performances are really good for the material the actors have to work with. And the leads' chemistry? Off the charts. FINALLY.
This doesn't mean the drama it's not filled with annoying secondary characters that are so sure they are doing the best for the leads that they resource to CRIME or misunderstandings that need to be solved in order for them to be together but it all pushes the story and the relationship forward.
This was nice. At the very least, I was entertained for a several weeks.

Fight for life
Why did I watch this series and what did I like about it? Especially for the sight of the male lead's body. The chemistry between the two main actors and the plot... nothing special.
Then, her friend who wanted to be his girlfriend at all costs and was always in the middle to hinder their couple, was a real nuisance. How nervous, I personally would have sent her miles away. What a toxic and invasive person! Same thing for the little doctor who had designs on Bu Yan. A real obsession!
I wonder... wouldn't it have been better to say what the problem was and how things were?
This poor guy was beaten, threatened, "bought", betrayed and despite this he always proved to be a good person. Much respect.

cute at first then got irritating and repetitive
This was a cute little watch, I'm not expecting Oscar level acting or Emmy winning writing, very fun for mini series. The FL and ML had so much chemistry, the kiss scenes were amazing and I really loved seeing them interact on the screen , however, the story started to get very repetitive. Every 2 episodes one of them was getting hurt, if not both. The SFL and SML can not take a hint to save their life, they make this show so unbearable, its literally so hard to ignore. They would constantly pester the FL and ML even after being rejected a hundred times.Same note about the Fl's brother (hes an asshole), there were just so many characters that created unnecessary drama.
While the FL and ML gave the illusion of being mature, talking out their feelings and trusting each other, they were still very naive, and made stupid decisions (like the FL not telling the ML that her twins were his kids too). I'm not going to lie this show was just way too dramatic, its quick but there is a lot of drama.
